Okay, ummm, I'm realizing that Briar has one of the same powers as Smith, and Akira has a power very similar to Promachus's. How do we feel about that? I can change them if necessary, lol

If we can make them different in some way that'd be cool with me

Like how Psychometry and Gnostic Touch are very similar but also different

Or how Unexpected Success and Strategize is technically very similar too

Or how Distort and Illusions are similar

Or how Hypnotic Willpower and Obey are very similar

Or how Emotion Manipulation and Emotion Transplantation are very similar

For Promachus, though, is his power based on foresight, or is it something in the moment?

Honestly- Smith is dead so with Briar you can just do whatever you were planning and we could assume it's different somehow lol

As for Promachus, here's the ability description from SL;LB so we can just look at that haha-

Promachus can see the most successful course of action in any scenario using the information given to him. He can see how everyone around him is most likely to respond and how those responses ricochet off of one another. Basically, show him what’s going on somewhere and he can tell you what looks like the best idea. Usually, he’s right on the money too.

Cenric Negash, 25. Cenric isn’t a good person, to put it simply. While not as physically strong as some of the others in the gang, namely Iona, Jaspal, and Khom— Cenric is smart, observant, controlling, and opportunistic. Not to mention highly manipulative. He’s in charge of the gang with an iron fist, and with Jaspal as loyal as he is? Cenric definitely doesn’t worry much about losing his power. Gorōta is absolutely terrified of this man, more so than he is of Jaspal.

Daiji Oryam, 25. Daiji is great. Being the oldest of the group, and one of the only ones that isn’t afraid of either Cenric or Jaspal, he’s just about the only one to go against Cenric using logic instead of anger. Which makes it much harder for Cenric to not listen. Daiji’s smart, and something that sometimes seems lacking in this group— Caring. Gorōta’s basically best friends with Daiji.

Egiz Tam, 21. Egiz is more confident than their twin, Fumiyo. Asking questions, learning, and always seeming to be doing something. Egiz used to help Gorōta study a lot, until the twins started coming over less and less. Now, he doesn’t see them often, and when he does? It doesn’t tend to be for good reasons, unfortunately.

Fumiyo Tam, 21. Fumiyo is a lot more reserved than Egiz, but also much less impulsive. Less likely to get into trouble on their own. Though, given how the twins are connected at the hip? That doesn’t tend to matter much. Regardless, Fumiyo is great too, even if Gorōta doesn’t get to see them much either nowadays.

Hanu Sudaysi, 22. Hanu’s… Probably the reason why after leaving his parents, Gorōta started staying with Cenric, Jaspal, Daiji, and Hanu. Hanu’s impulsive, reckless, and so, so very talkative. And even if Hanu wasn’t impulsive or reckless, getting into trouble no matter where he is— Cenric doesn’t like talkative.

Iona Taraka, 23. Iona’s alright.. Loud, impulsive, impatient, confident, and refusing to deal with Cenric’s bullshit. Unlike Daiji though, Iona uses her anger and threats of violence to keep Cenric in line. Especially since she’s the only one who could actually go toe-to-toe with Jaspal in a fight. That being said, the twins were always her top priority and she ended up moving them out to an apartment of her own with Khom too as soon as she was able to.

Jaspal Ulkan, 24. Jaspal’s a tank, to say the least. He’s physically strong, tall and larger than most people. To say he’s intimidating is an understatement. Especially when he’s as quiet as he is, a professional at scaring people into line with just a glance. Or by beating them up. Either way, he’s loyal to Cenric and only Iona ever has a chance of actually standing up to him, and by extension Cenric, without getting hurt.

Khom Varag, 23. Khom had joined the gang later than everyone else, and basically by accident. Regardless, Khom joined later than everyone else. And then proceeded to walk in and act as if he was the leader of the gang. Which Cenric hated and Iona loved. Iona and Khom became just as formidable as Jaspal and Cenric. And, frankly, Gorōta doesn’t mind him all that much, he seems fine. But then again, Cenric had seemed fine at first too. And Gorōta isn’t sure if Khom has stayed fine, since they almost never interact.

Also, technically Akira's power is different than Promachus's. It's based on foresight, which their power provides. (I'll just go ahead and call it Foresight rather than Strategize, haha)

I still feel like it's pretty close though, so if you have any ideas on how to adjust it so it's different, that would be helpful, lol

This ability gives Akira a kind of foresight in different situations, mainly regarding combat and sports, and allows them to quickly formulate a solid plan without researching their opponents first. They can come up with a plan that might usually take hours in just a few minutes.

Oooo, I love that- Definitely would be an interesting match against Unexpected Success since Irfam's ability is kind of based off foresight too. Whatever Akira would see would be constantly changing as Unexpected Success realizes Foresight can see it and thus make it expected and thus would also be constantly changing.

Promachud has to do research with his ability, since it's based off of the knowledge that he has. So, yeah, we're good lol
