I love them as well, I'm glad Gen'ya enjoys fashion and isn't completely bored, lmao. Depending on how Aries approaches things, there could be various responses from Briar, so we'll see. It should be fun no matter what. Really the only thing that will completely get them to a decent place again is a mirror and a routine that will probably collapse completely once they're able to shape-shift, haha

That makes sense, yeah. Briar has more trouble with being treated like an animal rather than a human, which is where 'creature' and 'monster' come from. As you've also probably noticed by now, they struggle with knowing what part of them is actually real and what part is made up/imagined, which is partially for the same reason and partially because people have planted false things in their head about what they act/look like and what they're supposed to act/look like. They've been told these things so many times that they aren't sure anymore which things are their own ideas of themself and which things are others' opinions. :)

Aries's trauma is much more geared towards being an item or soulless monster, though he also will sometimes struggle with those sorts of things that Briar deals with- Not because of what others have put into his head, so much as it's the fact that he uses different names in different areas/with different people. Like how Jakob knows him as Khorne, or Troy knows him as Gwyar, or this group knows him as Aries. And then each name sort of has a different set of expectations that can tie into different trauma.

Khorne was first used as what he was called in the arena, so it's a sure fire way of dehumanizing and sometimes even triggering him on the automatic.

Gwyar has all the trauma from his family tied into it, along with trauma from Troy too, which makes it a pretty good way to have a ton of complicated feelings come up.

Obviously, Aries is the best for him. It's the name he prefers to be called most of the time. The most often name for him to introduce himself as.

Ari is Chile specific, and as such- Is tied to Chile's death. Not just because Chile called him that as a nickname. But also because in the arena, whenever the two had to fight and Aries killed him, where it would've just been Khorne before.. Chile called him Ari in the arena before he died, which ended up making it Ari that killed him. Not Khorne. And on some level, making it Aries that killed him, since Ari came from Aries.

So instead of avoiding Khorne like he would've before, he instead avoided Aries and Ari. Which is why Jakob knows him as Khorne, because Khorne didn't kill Chile, so it was easier to introduce himself as that in order to avoid the fresh trauma associated with Ari and/or Aries.
