| Yellow Nah, I'm American. I went to a weird Christian school growing up and we did this activity where we read books that we know, from different countries. So there was Cinderella & Little Red Riding Hood, and more but those are the only two I remember |

| Ok, so basically... There's this fox (main character), and in the story I have just read, a sparrow was just vibing in a cherry tree, and the fox comes along, and the sparrow offers cherries to the fox. Nothing wrong with that, right? But then, the fox (sneakily) declines, then accepts after being asked another time. He doesn't like the cherries, but says they are good anyway, so then the fox asks if there is something he can do for the sparrow. (completely normal, right?) So the sparrow says that her two sons are sick, and asks if there is any way the fox can help them. The fox claims he is a "master of medicine", and asks the sparrow to bring her children to him. After she does, she turns around (and presumeably does something, lost in my horrible translating skills), and her children are gone! THE FOX HAS EATEN THEM. Like, seriously. Isn;t that messed up? | Ember Oh yeah, when J was litter we had to read the Chinese version of little red riding hood, "Lon Po Po". I was five, haven't touched that book since. And I still remember it. |
