Pit bulls are actually really nice! They get their mean reputation from bad media reports and bad owners. In the beginning of the 20th century, people considered pit bulls as 'Nursemaids' which I thought was hilarious:D

Yes pitbulls are great family dogs ^^. Duke is super gentle and just wants to be cuddled. Though when he sees someone then yes he barks protectively. I even taught him Go Get Em. Which I say daily when someone comes home and he attacks them in love. But I know if I am in danger and If I say Go Get Em thats a whole another story XD. Duke knows he has a strong bite force {German shepard, pitbull bite force} and I will playfully with flat hands boop him on his muzzle {left and right side} and he mouths back or just chews on my arm super gentle |

Your dogs sound wonderful. I have a labradoodle, who is really gentle and is fine no matter what you do near or with him. Well, almost anything. |

yea Duke is amazing, he is such a goofy dog. Literally this morning he rolled off the couch XD. Also very very obidient, I did all his training :3. He knows Sit, Stay, Paw, Down, Bed, Over, Under, Look, Leave It, Wait, Up, Stand, Come, and other ones. I can do Sit and Down without speaking and using only hands working on the others still. Im still teaching him new tricks and he gets them down super quick |
