A Horse Rp
When various natural disasters hit several states, the destruction of home and lands leaves species of all types homeless. None could be a better example than the owned horses forced to flee from their sheltered lives of stables, pastures, and daily grooming. They run until their legs ache with exhaustion, their minds restless and bewildered in fright. Eventually the unearthed land around them shifts into patchy forests and grassy plains. The terrain is new and unknown to them, and rough on their hooves, but they can feel it in their bones: they're safe.
Well. Kind of.
Those same disasters that pushed them there no longer plague them, but they have new obstacles ahead of them. Like surviving in the untouched lands, avoiding or defending against predators, etc. Thankfully they aren't alone, as shortly after their arrival they come across a small band of wild horses, unkept in appearance, and a little wary at first, but upon hearing of the tradgedies they decide to have mercy on them and take them in to show them the way.
Some of the Wild Herd aren't entirely keen on this idea, believing the previously owned horses are liabilities to them. While others are happy to help out, understanding that if they had just lost everything they would also want someone to help them. They owned horses, though, are similar, being split between different ideals. Some believe they should never have come this far to begin with, they should have stayed close to human society and waited for rescue. They don't think they should be out there long enough to even need to learn how to be wild, and don't think they should associate with those who are. However, others are... almost excited to be free, to be wild and untamed.
No matter what comes, though, this is the situation the now herd is, and they'll have to find their way through it, and each individual horse will need to decide what is best for them.

The Roleplay Rules
Follow all of Eve's and WP's Rules
1. Let's try to be fairly active. A post every other day would be ideal. Just keep us in the loop if you're not going to be on for an extended period of consecutive days or can't post.
2. The Wild Horses will be Mustangs, Whereas the Previously Owned Horses can be any type of horse. Keep their breed in mind when making your character.
3. I won't be doing reservations. First come first serve, so the form finished first will get the spot. The ONLY Exception is Unborn foals, I will allow those to be reserved.
4. Maximum 4 Characters Each to Start, but I will Likely be Lenient on this.
5. The Horses the are the Previously Owned ones have never been wild before, so they won't have any experience in the wild, and their instincts will be duller than the Wilds.
6. I will allow there to be a couple of Orphaned Foals of the Previously Owned Horses, but only a limited amount. Wild Foals all must have a mother.
7. Foals, Born or Unborn, from the Previously Owned Horses do not need a Father in the Rp. I would prefer the Wild Foals have parents who are both in the Rp.
8. If you've read everything, who is your favorite horse character from any movie, book, tv show, etc.?

What should they do?:Lycus genuinely wants to help the Previously Owned horses, whether they stay with him in the end or not. He isn't concerned with having a large herd of mares or anything, he just felt for their story and wanted to help. So, for now they have his protection and experience to help them.

Lycus is a rather stunning stallion, though he isn't the type to flash it around or flaunt it to others. He has a good, solid build, one that is tall, muscular, and overall well balanced in figure. Standing at 16.3 hh, Lycus is certainly not the tallest stallion there is, but it's still an impressive and capable height, allowing him to hold his own in fights where he might be the smaller stallion. Typically in these situations his experience softens the disadvantage he might have for being smaller.
The stallion has a painted coat, it's color difficult to name without taking a closer look. Many would incorrectly call him a brown, or even bay, paint, maybe even a dark grey paint. However, neither of these would be correct. Instead, Lycus is a grullo paint stallion. His hooved are white as well, and his mane and tail match this, appearing white, though they tend to transition to a more blonde color at the ends, but that's just because he's a wild horse and a little unkept. Aside from his coloration, Lycus tends to stand out because of the bright, ice blue colored eyes he has lying within the greyish backdrop of his face.

Credits To LyraWhite @ DA This male stands at a powerful stature of 18HH, he towers over most he meets ; yet, while some may be intimidated by his height - their is really nothing to be intimidated by because he is a sweetheart to most, only his enemies should have to worry about his height and strength. This male is rather strongly built, you can see his muscular frame when he moved and runs. He is well adept for protecting himself against attacks and those he dearly loves as well ; he also has scars to prove his merit for protecting those close to him. When you look at him, you notice how he appears to have been splashed by a paint bucket - his primary color being a bay coloration and in some lighting it can be mistaken for a darker bay color. He has beautiful snowy white markings to compliment his darker colors, and he has long socks on his legs. His mane is a very dark brown with a slight intermix of black, and then their is a streak of whitish platinum blonde within his mane ; as for his tail, it is a long length almost dragging the ground - the roots are a dark brown then switches to the platinum blonde color and then intermixed with the original dark brown color. He would be considered very attractive by made standards. His voice is a slightly deeper one with a warm and playful tone, it being kind and welcoming. And his scent is one of fresh morning rain intermixed with herbs and an earthy pine scent.  Personality: When meeting this male, the first thing you notice is the charismatic energy that radiates from him ; the energy oozes from his every word, charming smile, and even his laugh. He's certainly a charming male - knowing how to speak well and get on the good side of others, having the gift of gab is always a good thing. Why? Because it means he can easily blend in and fit in with the crowd - and while he can blend in, he can also stand out. There is a certain positive and cheerful energy that he possesses that most find either unbelievable or endearing, he always seems to have a smile on his face or laughter in his voice. He brings happiness wherever he goes ; his calm demeanor and kind personality is infectious, even warming the coldest of hearts. He just knows how to worm his way into your heart without thinking about it - his earnesty being genuine and something that he couldn't possibly fake. It's to be noted that he is rather empathetic, always willing to be a listening ear or shoulder to cry on - he's gentle and kind with his words when uplifting and reassuring them, he doesn't expect anything in return but seeing the person happy again. He also seems to find the wayward and lost, them seemingly gravitating to him and being taken under his wing ; he shows no prejudice or hostility to those different or strange, and treats them as potential new friends - he always gives the benefit of the doubt, only when you have proven yourself untrustworthy or harmful then will he treat you unkindly - otherwise he's a rather hospitable and welcoming soul. Always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need - yet, he isn't foolish enough to believe that they might not have good intentions, so don't think you can pull wool over his eyes so easily. While he is a good person, even good people have something that doesn't suit them. This male is very intelligent, and he picks up and learns things rather quickly - he's also highly observant, even when he's socializing he's still wagging others. He's able to read body language, notice the small things others wouldn't notice - it makes him good at reading peoples emotions and telling their intentions, it's rather hard to lie to him. Another thing, he is a sweet-talker, knowing just the words to say to butter someone up and get them speaking - he also knows how to use his wits to his advantage, being able to turn suspicions away from him with just the slightest tears for someone accusing him of such a deed. He can be manipulative, using it to get information or others to do his will - but he doesn't like doing that and so he tries to keep this side more so to himself. So even if this male acts like a goofball at times with corny jokes and even airheaded behavior, one still shouldn't underestimate him - why, because he knows when to grow serious and take charge. If put in a position of leadership, he definitely would excel - he knows how to connect with those around him, he also listens and cares what those he leads thinks, and not to mention he's very protective of those that he considers "his" . It's to note that this male is highly territorial, he doesn't do well with outsiders or those that challenge him - he's very much a more dominant personality and doesn't like being told what to do, but will do it until he works his way to being the one giving the orders. He may be polite with strangers, but their is still a chilly and wary aura that will surround him when dealing with them - and don't even bother to think of what happens to those that cross his family. It is well-known that this male has the patience of a saint as others say, having earned the reputation of being sightly scary but other wise a big teddy bear - now why would he be scary? Few people have made him their enemy and live to tell the tale ; or they go the opposite direction when seeing this male. Their is a certain aura this male has when he's angry : one it's a cold and chilly aura, and one that's like a disappointed father scolding a child and most can deal with that but the anger that his enemies are met with is a overwhelming feeling - one of a fiery anger that promises vengeance. When dealing with enemies ; this male is rather vicious and ruthless, he looses all empathy for them - especially if they've harmed anyone he loves. He can and will put up one hell of fight and he will fight until his last breath to protect his home, family and friends. He's also one to put his life on the line to save another, he's selfless like that and would rather get himself hurt than see another dead. It's a reckless move, but he is one to purposely put himself in harms way to save others. He is fiercely loyal to his home and protective of it, and would breathe his last breath defending it to the best of his ability as well. No one can ever question his loyalty, because he's as loyal as they come. Now, he isn't blindly loyal - and he only respects those that earn his respect otherwise he wouldn't be caught dead under their leadership if he could help it. Now when it comes to romance, it's no secret that this male does well with the ladies - he's a smooth talker, he has the looks, and not to mention he's strong and able to provide for his future significant other. He's pretty, and he knows it - he likes to keep his appearance up, after all he can't try and get a lover and look a hot mess that's the easiest way to get rejected. He's a bit of a flirt, charming ladies with sweet and flattering words - yet he means every single compliment he gives. One knows he is truly in love or has a eye for a girl when he begins to gift her things that seem random like flowers, feathers, or a shiny rock - he gives things to ones he likes. And he pays attention to the things that she likes as well and tries to make her happy. Once he is locked down by his girl ; you will find he is the most faithful and doting partner one can find, never keeping a secret from her and doing everything to make sure she knows that she is beloved by him. When he becomes a father, you best believe he's a doting dad - his kids will have him wrapped around their fingers, especially his daughters, they are his princesses and he will make sure they know that. He's very protective of his kids and anyone who even thinks of attempting to hurt them or being mean to his babies will be facing his fangs without question. He will be very involved in his kids lives because he loves them very much and couldn't imagine not being there for them. One thing for sure is ; he would be one proud dad.
