Appearance:
Kyomi stands at a fairly average 5'6. She falls between the Endomorph and Mesomorph body types. She's not particularly muscular, but she isn't scrawny either. Rather, she has an athletic, agile build, made for speed and stealth. Her body is lined with lean, hard muscles, a side effect of her job. Her skin is a dark, sun-kissed tan, bronzed from the sun beating down on her during her years of being outdoors. It has warm, amber undertones, giving it a rich colour. She has a collection of small scars, paler than her normal skin, scattered across her arms and legs. The majority of them are from tumbles she took while scouting areas that were a bit difficult to navigate or from goofing around with others.
She has a diamond-shaped face, with a sharp jawline, straight nose, and high, defined cheekbones. Her coppery hair is thick and slightly wavy, a deep brown with undertones of red that become apparent whenever she's in the sun. Not liking how it got tangled and dirty so often when it was long, Kyomi decided to cut the majority of it off. Now, it curled around her ears, laying on top of her head in a messy pixie cut. It gave her an almost boyish look, something that defiantly reflected her personality. Her eyes are hoodies, a deep jade in colour flecked with different shades of emerald and olive. There's always a playful glint in her eyes, and they are always watching and observing. A crooked grin is almost always stretched across her face.
Due to her having to move around a lot because of her rank, Kyomi prefers to wear loose, airy clothes. Her usual attire is a loose, dark green drawstring shirt made out of linen, dark brown, baggy pants with several pockets that are frayed and torn near the bottom, a dark leather belt with a few sheaths looped on it, and dusty, worn leather boots. You never know if there's a rattler lurking around between the rocks or some other venomous animal, so it's best if you have thick-soled boots. She kept the loose strands of her hair out her face while she worked with a brown bandana, knotting it at the nape of her neck.

Playful:
Kyomi tries not to get caught up in serious things. You start thinking about it, start obsessing over it, and then get so roped up in it that you can't let it go. It may be a bit exaggerated and outlandish, but that's how Kyomi thinks. When she was younger, she overthought a lot of things, and that caused a lot of issues for her. When she left her old life behind and joined the gang, she promised herself that she would do the best she could to do her job right, and to do that, she needed to let go of her catastrophizing mindset. She kind of took this to the extreme, though.
She jokes around a lot and loves messing with people, whether that be in the gang or the locals, and loves to just hang out and relax. Her friendliness can easily slid into a more flirty manner. She is pretty shameless and makes it quite obvious about her attraction towards the person of interest.
Even though this hasn't caused many problems in the past, it can still be a hassle. Kyomi never takes anything seriously and tries to avoid making decisions. She grows a little panicked when faced with a serious choice, and hates thinking about the future.
Friendly:
Due to her playful attitude and the bouncing-off-the-walls feel to her, Kyomi seems like someone you could easily talk to, and you'd be right! She welcomes any conversation or company of others, taking it into stride effortlessly.
Energetic:
She's glad she managed to secure the rank of a Scout. They move around a lot, meaning she can put her endless amount of energy to good use. While she has nothing to do, though, she can get bored quite easily. She ends up bugging other members or looking for something useful to do.
Alert:
As a Scout, her eyes are incredibly sharp and keen, able to pick out little things even from far away. They are sharp, but her hearing is sharper. Her reaction time is also pretty quick, and she's always aware of her surroundings, even if she appears relaxed and calm.
Loyal:
Despite her playful and airy personality and sort of detached air, Kyomi is loyal to death. She would throw her life away for any of the other gang members without hesitation. Though she may not be the most serious of the group by any means, she strives to be the best member she can be. She's willing to help out wherever she can and would do anything for the people that she now considers her family.
Troublesome:
This one's a handful. Have you ever heard someone say that shorter people have the same fire in them as tall people, but it's just more condensed and focused? That's the case with Kyomi. Usually, it's a product of her teasing and mocking others for the sake of entertainment or joking around the wrong type of people, but whenever she goes into a pub or a bar, it almost always ends up in some sort of confrontation or fight. Unless she has alcohol in her system, then she's pacified. Someone insults her? She's fine with it. After all, what goes around comes around, and she isn't exactly nice with her words either. But the moment the drunkens start badmouthing her gang or their lifestyle, or when she's just plain fed up with their blubbering, she'd start a fight.
Resentful:
Kyomi can hold a mean grudge. She doesn't make it very apparent on the outside, but those close to her can tell when she has one because she loses her signature grin when around them. She remembers a lot of things that happened to her, but the majority of the grudges she holds are from people who threatened the gang in the past.

The majority of these skills are tied to her job as a Scout. She's fast, she can traverse many types of terrain and climb trees or large boulders to get a better viewpoint. Though it's a basic skill that everyone in the gang knows, she and her horse are one hell of a duo. To live in the West, you have to learn how to handle the heat. Breezes only come so often, so you have to learn how to manage it until nightfall. Observation is a key point in Scouting, but so is conveying the information gathered back to the gang. Instead of trying to memorize any and every detail, Kyomi would much rather sketch out and draw maps to capture the landscape and any important areas. Half-due to her troublesome habits and half-due to her desire to learn how to protect herself and others, she developed pretty good knife skills.

Kyomi is built for speed, not strength. While she can use her reflexes and agility to avoid getting too injured, she is physically weaker than most people. If she can't either escape or kill/maim her attacker within the first several moments, she's likely going to be overpowered. She's playful, almost childish, in the way she acts. She refuses to participate in large decision-making.
While she is loyal to the gang overall, Kyomi doesn't have any personal connection to the individual members. She's terrified of getting attached to people because that's a serious commitment and it can be taken away in a heartbeat.
She'd rather go off and live in the moment. She's impulsive and jumps the gun on things. She wants adventure, adrenaline, and freedom.
Likes:
The Outdoors
She lives, works, and relaxes in it! How could she not absolutely love it? While being in a shack, inn, or other building would be boring and crowded, the outdoors is open and free.
Sketching
She likes to detail things she sees on her little expedition on her maps. She had several maps in her bag from their past adventures. If she is feeling particularly bored, Kyomi will sketch and doodle whatever she sees on the back of the parchment.
Adventure
The thrill of the unknown and the freedom of choosing where to go is intoxicating and addicting to her.
Night Time
Even though Kyomi loves the sun, and the light and heat it provides, she adores the night even more. It's much cooler at night, a comfortable chill. There's still plenty of light from the moon and stars, but it illuminates the land in a much different way than sunlight does. It makes the land look mystical and unreal. The ebony sky is blanketed with bright, shining stars. She enjoys looking up at the stars and recounting the stories of the constellations quietly to herself.
Water
Kyomi loves to swim or float in the water. It isn't common to stumble upon an oasis or a body of water, but when they do, she takes full advantage of it. She has always wanted to see the ocean, having heard stories from other travelers heading East, but realized a while ago that she probably would never get to see it.

Threats to the gang
She views all of the members as family, and no one, not locals, not other gangs, not law enforcement, no one is allowed to threaten the gang.
Alcohol
Kyomi hates the way the burning liquid clouds her mind, makes her uncoordinated, and dulls her senses. She's a complete lightweight and prefers to watch everyone else lose their shit and laugh instead of joining in. She may be convinced to drink by other members of the gang if she feels comfortable enough, though it's rare, and she blacks out easily.

Gypsy is a large American Quarter Horse stallion with a beautiful amber-brown short-haired coat, nearly the exact same colour as Kyomi's hair. At the age of 8 years, he stands at a good 16hh with a wide head, broad chest, and stocky, muscular build.
He is calm and cooperative, not reacting much to her energetic and childish personality. He's easy to ride, and quite a delight to be around. Quarters are known for their ability to run quickly and for long stretches of time, perfect for a Scout.
Kyomi has had him for several years now, buying him from a rancher when she first joined the gang. She named him Gypsy to add to the original free spirit of the stallion, and to her own adventurous wishes.
