With a form that oozes confidence and a devil-may-care attitude, Thea is as bewitching as she is powerful, and knows it. The first physical feature many humans and Gods alike are drawn to are her hypnotic eyes. Many describe them as a luminescent silvery-blue, the color of moonlight gracing the ocean’s surface with its gentle embrace, reeling in lovers with promises of passion to warm their hearts. Some say her eyes glow with a gentle warmth, like a beacon of hope or a campfire. Unfortunately, the promise of gentleness is only surface level, and the mind behind such a warmth thrives off chaos. Accentuated by an eye shape similar to that of a vixen's, along with finely curled deep red lashes, it is both an intimidating and captivating combination. Thea is a woman who enjoys watching both the sunset and the sunrise, but her favorite time of day is at night when the moon is at its brightest, to reflect on the pale ivory of her skin. It is fair with hints of rose and cool undertones along her entire body, and adorned by freckles scattered across her nose and cheeks. More freckles are spread along the rest of her body (arms, sides of neck, and back). All of them appear to be a few shades darker than her skin. Thea’s body shape is that of a bottom-heavy hourglass - a slender neck, defined collarbone, and slim waist that fans out to hips that are barely wider than her shoulders. More often than not, she wears the colors wine red, royal purple, and black in a dark femme fatale fashion, never looking less than her best. Height wise, she stands at 5’3”. For accessories, Thea has a left brow piercing, labret lip piercing, and tongue piercing - all silver. And of course, her earlobes are also pierced. Another key feature of this woman is her luscious red hair, the shade closer to a ruby or even dark wine, fittingly radiant and intoxicating to behold. Thea prefers to keep her hair down and free from any restraints, at most tying up one side to ensure an individual admires her features. Her hair frames a face that has both soft and angular features, combining a feminine heart-shape with a square jawline and tapering to a delicately pointed chin. The high points of her cheekbones are accentuated by shadows beneath the smooth curves, giving her an even more defined appearance. Thea’s brows are highly arched, giving her the expression of constant mischief or scheming some kind of plan to watch unfold (which is fitting). With a slightly upturned button nose and soft full lips, all of these features combine to make an alluring enchantress. Personality The depths and complexities of this capricious woman can be described with two words - Untamed and fiery. Thea is impossible to pin down, let alone keep up with, due to her chaotic nature. She is not good nor evil, but something entirely neutral. Capable of being the devil or angel on your shoulder, Thea enjoys watching her plans fall into place, being incredibly perceptive of body language and using it to her advantage. She doesn't have an ulterior motive to her whims of mischief, nothing entirely malicious, at least. Her goal in this long life is to watch the world around her be sent into an uproar, smiling as castles fall or laughing at the sight of someone’s unfortunate situation, perhaps knowing of a forbidden love affair or someone's dark secret. To Thea, the world's a stage, and she's happily observing each and every failure (or success) that happens in the process. That's not to say she's without a heart, per say, or incapable of forming close connections. But with connection comes vulnerability. Matters of the heart are buried deep within her chest, locked away with the key thrown into an internal abyss. It would take someone with patience and tolerance to unearth the intricacies of her affections, and even greater patience to earn her commitment. Despite being the complete opposite of her twin, Thea appreciates the patience and care she receives from Jude. With a stern glare or a shake of his head, Thea finds herself only ever listening to Jude. After experiencing a tragedy together so young, they depend on each other for company and safety, both of which work to provide. So even if they're opposites, they balance each other more often than not. Strengths & Weaknesses: Thea is a master at understanding the exact things needed for a situation to turn in her favor, and it could be for something selfish or something as innocent as entertainment. Whether it be a charming word or a seductive flair, Thea uses the full extent of her words and charm to bend the whims of others to her will. This can be done in grand gestures or working on the sidelines to push the chess pieces into place. Before others can catch onto her plans, they've already fallen into her web of chaos. As the daughter of death, Thea has the unfortunate ability of something similar to vampirism, but instead of draining blood from one's body, she can drain one’s life-force through a kiss. Ironically enough, she has dubbed this ability as the “Kiss of Death.” While draining life-energy isn't necessary for survival, it seems to boost her energy, strength, and speed for an extended amount of time, perhaps a day or two. The only beings who are immune to this are demigods and the Gods themselves. The biggest thing that keeps her away from living a life of fulfillment is her crippling fear of commitment and vulnerability. She's had countless flings, some pursued for their looks or ability to compliment her chaotic nature, but the moment they poked at the surface of her heart, Thea ran away. This complex being thrives off of having the most power within a dynamic, and has such a tight grip on her heart that she can't see the pain she's causing herself. Letting go of that power is terrifying to a being such as herself, and chances are, Thea will end things before that partner has the chance to fall for her more deeply. Due to this constant need to uproot and change her circumstances, Thea has no real bond with anyone besides Jude. No matter the amount of individuals she entertains herself with or catches in her grasp, nothing will change the immense loneliness within herself. Appearance A solemn figure looms in the corner of every room he's in, avoiding social interaction and attention like the plague. That figure is Jude, the unfortunate twin to Thea. Unlike his sister, his eyes are more unsettling than hypnotic, a deep midnight black with barely a hint of warm brown flecked in various spots. Even in the sunlight, they remain just as dark. There is no warmth or promise of comfort, but instead, a pool of spilled ink across dark walnut undertones. Framing his deepset eyes are naturally curled black lashes, replicating puppy dog eyes in moments of surprise or innocent curiosity. Paired with medium sized brows with an arch near the tail end, Jude’s stare can come off as daunting, not that he means to of course. Out of these two, Jude is the only one to have inherited any tan from his mother, even if it isn't a lot. While still considered pale, his skin has a warmer undertone that can turn darker - if he chose to go out into the sun, of course. Beside the outer right corner of his lips and left eye are a couple of beauty marks. Hidden beneath dark sweaters and sleeves, various old scars and cuts mark his body, the origin of these coming from an accident that Jude isn't so keen on talking about. Besides the various scars, there's also a couple of beauty marks that dot his torso and legs, but again, these are usually hidden by clothing. Speaking of clothing, Jude’s style could be described as a mix of dark academia and soft grunge, paired with various accessories concerning death and the more grim aspects of life. He stands at a height of 6’3” and could be considered toned, but not super muscled - if it wasn't for his godly blood, Jude believes his physique wouldn't be as imposing. Jude’s hairstyle could be described as a tousled side part, his cut being long on top and short on the sides, but not terribly so. While he doesn't put too much effort into styling it, it retains a natural unkempt look of various stray strands that dangle in front of his left eye. The color is a very dark shade of russet brown, almost black. The reddish undertones only show beneath sunlight. When describing his diamond shaped face, it's not nearly as defined as his sisters, but retains a decent amount of sharpness in his Grecian nose, curved jawline and shadows beneath narrow cheekbones. Personality With a grim outlook on life and an aversion to socializing, it wouldn't be incorrect to assume Jude is a recluse. Amidst the quiet and solitude, that is where Jude prefers to reside, even going so far as to avoid restaurants, large stores, and other public spaces. Small shops, local cafes, and bookstores are his happy places (drinking coffee while reading classical literature is the norm). Jude isn't blind to how his height can be intimidating, so to compensate, he chooses to speak in a softer tone, close to a mumble. He dislikes being loud, and if he can help it, he just doesn't speak. Along with that, Jude has a very gentle way of handling things - situations, people, arguments, etc. You'll notice that he’ll spend more time listening than talking, showing great emotional intelligence and open-mindedness. Though, he's a bit socially awkward, so Jude can be a bit… standoffish if he's not used to your presence. Slow to anger and incredibly passive, it's rare you'll ever find him in a heated conversation. If things become too much, Jude will either walk away silently or excuse himself politely, refusing to entertain the thought of saying something out of turn. With his sister, Jude is grounding and provides a firm influence, knowing the trouble Thea gets herself into. He loves his sister terribly, and even if she's troublesome and impulsive, he will be there to make sure she's alright at every turn. Thea is the only person to this day who's ever convinced him to come out of his shell, and as much as he hates it, Jude can't help but enjoy spending that time with her.
Strengths & Weaknesses: While he isn't as charming as Thea, or socially aware, Jude has talents in other things. For example, taking care of those he loves most. After the death of their mother and an absent father proving to be no help, Jude took a more paternal role in Thea’s life. He quickly learned how to cook and prepare meals, fix her hair, and provide companionship when she needed it most. In a way, this translates to how he is with others. Even though he is quiet, Jude is willing to provide comfort and care. He has a soft spot for the underdogs, children, and the wounded, and seems to relate on a personal level with those who have experienced tragedy. Some say that Jude comes across as an old soul, wise beyond his years. As you can probably imagine, Jude has an uncanny ability to handle some of the most grotesque sights and imagery, accustomed to the macabre in ways even Thea isn't fully aware of. Due to his connection with Thanatos, Jude is able to touch any item (pendant, headstone, vase, etc.) that belonged to someone who has passed and relive their memories in what feels like seconds to us, but hours for him - even going so far as to recount their last moments. Another unfortunate aspect of his abilities lie in the nature of souls. Every living thing around him glows with a gentle aura, and the brighter that light is, the closer they are to their fated death. It isn't something he can shut off or tune out, and Jude wishes more than anything that he could change it. But unfortunately, even with the knowledge he carries, their fate is sealed. This is the biggest reason he chose a life of isolation, to turn away from the burden his power gave him. Other About: Jude’s favorite flowers are asphodels.
