Welcome to the Living in Irish Folklore sign-up forum.

In the Foraois feadh na farraige, there are many different kinds of mythical creatures, Fairies, Slekies, Kelpies, Werewolves, and Changelings. They live in relative peace away from our modern society, some come into contact with the occational brave human. Most of those interactions ending in the human staying due to the magical creatures fear of what would happen if all of humanity knew they were there. Now the question is; are you a magical creature or are you one of the unfortunate humans to have run into these myths?
Rules
-All of Eves rules aply.
- No power playing.
-Keep it PG-13.
- I have a 3 strikes your out policy.
- I'm all for the in RP drama, but I will not tolerate out of RP conflicts.
-Ask for perms pal, nobody likes it when you just slap someone and say. they died or something without them being ok with it, let others have fun too.
-I'm ok with gore, but not too detailed incase somebody has a problem with it.
-This is a Semi-literate RP, so I expect atleast 4-5 complete sentences per character, per reply, I understand writers block though.
-I'm doing this so I can tell if you read the rules or not, but please put Ithim Paiste in Other so I know, I will reject any character sheets that don't have it.
-If you have any Irish myths you want me to add into this, just message me and I'll read up on it, then maybe.
-I will have an entire seperate forum set up for yall to chat instead of in the RP forum, it just clogs it up.

Creature Abilities
Humans
You can choose, is your character a witch, spirit medium, alchemist, or a regular person just trapped int he forest.
-
Witches can place curses, comune with the myths, generally use healing magic, plant magic, protection spells, ect. each witch specialises in one or two areas of magic. Every witch has two magical assistants of sorts, their familiar, and either their guardian angel or one of the many mythological creatures in the forest. Witches can safely wander from town to the forest, as witches are highly respected by the mythological creatures, they tend to work together either out of the kindness of their hearts, or because there is something to gain from it.

Alchemists are fairly similar to witches, they can preform magic, but they require their alchemic circles and the periodic elements to make it. Witches can preform alchemy but they are very bad at it, they either need to take the chance that it would fail or they need to be guided by a skilled alchemist to be sucsessful.

Spirit mediums can see and talk to spirits, and mythological creatures. These people are far more intune with their guardian angle, others guardian angles, ect. Spirit mediums are free to treverse through the forest and not get trapped, as they are well protected by whatever angel follows them. They are able to guide those that are inable to preform magic in and out of the forest, unless they've already been trapped.

Fairies
Fairies can prefirm magic just as easily as a witch can, if not more efficient, while it does have more glitter, they can be cruel with their magic. Fairies are the ones that often trap non-magical humans in the forest, they will normally only help the other myths if they have something to gain, if not, then their going to fight you for not having had something worth while for them to gain for their help. Faries are the most numerous of all the mythological creatures.

Selkies
(These Selkie are going to be slightly innacurate to the actual myth to make things interesting)
Selkies can do little to no magic, the least they can do is turn themselves invisible for a short amount of time, so they can have a quick and easy get-away. some selkie are seals in the water, but when they go to spend time on land, they simply step out of the seal skin, and they can't return to sea without it. Other selkie kinda just look like a seal-merperson.

Kelpies
(Also slightly innacurate to the origonal myth)
Kelpies are often found near lardge bodies of water as they are water horses, they can pretty much melt into the water as they please. They look very similar to your everyday horse, they just might have bizzar eye colors, extra limbs(wings, extra head, whatever, get creative people) maybe some slightly weird colored fur, but not too much to really notice.

Werewolves
Werewolves can shift from human to Werewolf on command, and while it is slightly uncomfortable due to their bones having to actively change, they can do it within about a minute. Now, there are different levels of transformed they may stop at, from gaining few wolf-like traits, to bisically being an anthro of sorts, some can even turn into a regular wolf, just big.

Changelings
Changelings are Fairies that have been switched out for a family member, due to the person or family member being lost due to farie activity. Changelings can shapeshift, as a pet, a person, whatever. The changeling can't go back to being a fairie after the person is believed to have died, they are to lure back more people to take the place of.

Xey like to hike with xer friends, and it makes xem happy. It's probably the only thing that does, because xey have depression. Xey hate everything, except xer pets. Xey hate to be lonely, but hate people, so xey have pets. Xey are very quick to snap, and to lose xer temper.

Human form;
Xer hair is short, but thick and wavey. Xey constently dye xer hair, making Brad Mondo cry. Right now, xer hair is a teal, with blonde peaking out at the roots. Xey are 5" 4' and have a slim build. Xey have an emo/alt/punk vibe, and don't care what others say about it. Xey have long legs and a thin waist. Xer face is circular, and makes all the features pop.
Werewolf form;
Xey are a 6" 3' and very strong. The only things that changed were xer mouth-nose area, which changed to be wolf-like, xer legs, arms, ears, and head shape. Xer legs and arms became larger and more muscle-ly. Xer ears, head and muzzle shifted so they were like a wolf's.

Description:

She is a stalky yet well built lady, she has a sort of dark gold skin tone, even looking like it had colden glitter on it when the sun hits just right. She has green eyes on her circle shaped face. She has some tribal tattoos under her left eye and all the way down her left arm. From the hips down she has a seals tail, flippers and all. The tail is a light grey with grey brown spots littered all over the back of her tail. She has long braided dreads that are brown, almost black, falling down her back. She has a light blue Halter neck top, because modesty is a thing these creatures have.
Personality:
She is a nice gal, she loves kids, and she has a pet Leafy Seadragon seahorse named Uisce (Quite litterally meaning water in Irish gaelic), she adors him. She tends to be quiet and shy around those she doesn't quite know that well, but she gets to be very whitty and friendly when she gets to know you better. She would love to have kids, but her chances are fairly low, though she will try and adopt every child she can, if she can. Her clan isn't very fond of that fact, due to the limited amount of selkie they could really have in the clan at a time.

Ok, first off, in Irish culture, werewolves are not evil, they are actually gardians of the Eire (Ireland) in Irish mythology there are two races the Tuatha De Dannan (Gods and demigods) and humans.

Quick question, when was it mentioned that werewolves were evil? I kind of just made them more reserved and avoid communication with some of the other myths.
