Appearance:
Garvin stands tall at a haunting 6’ 5”, usually hunched to a 6’ 3”. His skin tone is a pale fair color(a bit more on the tanned side though, given how much time he’s spent in the sun) with cool undertones(mostly greener ones due to his terrible habits), only adding to how pale he is. He has freckles practically everywhere on his body. Quite honestly, his skin and hair have a layer of dirt and grime that he’s sure wouldn’t leave even if he washed and washed.

Garvin has a rather oval face shape, meaning he has a smaller forehead and a smaller chin, but the middle of his face is wider, the whole thing on the longer side. His cheeks are rather gaunt despite it. Now for the nose, something that Garvin rather likes, he has a hawk shaped nose, meaning it starts off the same way a ‘normal’ nose would, and then goes off the deep end at a slight angle, the tip of it a bit lower than the nasals. His lips are thinner in shape, and smirks his most often seen expression. Well, those and his signature Garvin grin.

His eyebrows are rather thin. Despite them being thin and rather straight, they have a slight bush to them towards the end which gives them the illusion of an arrow pointing upwards. Finally, his eyes with deep, heavy eye bags underneath them and usually bloodshot, (and whether that be from lack of sleep or his unhealthy habits, is unclear) are a deepset hooded shape and dark gray in color, which he is glad for. Because if he had green eyes with his freckles and red hair, he’d certainly huff and puff unhappily(sarcastically, of course). His face is framed by unruly and wavy, almost to the point of curly, red hair. Firey in color, though more on the gray side of the red hair spectrum, that is most oftenly messy and in his face, the tips of all of it going just below the ears in length, the back going down to the nape of his neck.

His body structure could quickly be described as rectangular, a long torso matched with long legs, everything about him screams lanky. Especially when taking into consideration the fact that this man only weighs in at around 150 lbs, his BMI at 17.79 and being underweight by 6 pounds. Most surprising about his weight, is that most of what he does have is muscle, otherwise he'd probably be way more underweight than he already is. When it comes to body hair, Garvin doesn’t have an insane amount- Just about average for his age and circumstances, honestly. He also has a few tattoos of vines that go across his knuckles.

As for scars, he possesses many. From scars on his back and shoulders that look like they’re from whipping, to burn scars on his legs and arms, to cuts on his arms, to a singular one that looks like a slash across his neck, to scars that make it seem like skin had peeled off his arms, to a scattering of small scars at his jawline, eyebrows, and nose. He’s covered in scars. His left hand has a small scar of a cut across his palm. And both hands have tiny scars all over, which are both just extremely calloused too. He also has a few cigarette burn scars on his arms.

He’s usually wearing a red and black flannel that’s a bit torn up, stained, and burnt. Some of the tears have patches, but there’s still a few that don't. He never buttons it up all the way, especially since some of the buttons are missing or broken or hanging on by a thread. Under that, he usually wears a short sleeve white shirt. Luckily enough, this shirt doesn’t have any tears in it. It does have a few old stains and burn marks though.

His pants tend to be ripped, baggy black pants that have quite a few patches. Somehow, he’s kept most of the pockets free from tears and holes. As for shoes, they most often end up as black work boots with buckles, some of the buckles on his left are broken, and one on the right is as well. He also wears a dark gray trench coat most of the time, with a few old stains and tears. But nothing brings in attention much like the tombstone patch he’s got on the back of it. It’s large, blank, and corroding. He absolutely refuses to wear any jacket that doesn’t got it on there. He’ll put it there himself if he has to.

And when it comes to accessories? Fingerless gloves made of gauze that he’s wrapped around his palms and up to his elbow, several rings(all bands) that he wears on whichever finger he ends up putting them on that morning.

And then there’s piercings. He has a nose piercing(nasallang piercing), a few different ear piercings; multiple lobe ones(both ears; 5 left and 4 right), a helix piercing(left ear), a tragus piercing(both ears), a flat piercing(both ears; 2 left and 1 right), a lobe piercings(both ears), and an industrial piercing(right ear). Lastly, he also has a mouth piercing, a spider/viper bite piercing.

Personality:
To say that Garvin is a generous and modest person would be like trying to say that a sydney funnel-web spider is a harmless spider. Because in all actuality, Garvin is arrogant and prideful, not to mention extremely greedy and selfish. Though this may come from the fact that he grew up on the streets, so to be fair, most of his boasts are well deserved. Regardless, he still has a huge ego that can and will intimidate opponents. Not to mention his sharp tongue that’ll spit insults like there’s no tomorrow.

Despite his arrogance and sharp tongue, even despite his greed, when faced with kindness, this man immediately becomes awkward and confused. Stammering and eyes darting with suspicion as though he genuinely believes that no one could possibly be kind without any ulterior motives. He also is quite reckless, often getting into trouble with either authority or fellow people. Many times because of his own lies collapsing on himself.

If you manage to become his friend, well, first off, good job. And second, you will find quickly that he’d much rather him die than them, though this may also be because of his nihilistic nature. Nevertheless, he’s still a great friend. Someone’s being mean to you? He’ll probably have a few words for them. Would he actually fight someone though... Not unless the other started it or if he was just that mad, he prefers to keep violence as a last resort. Though he’ll gladly carve into the school walls for his friends, sometimes quite literally.

Food and money is the way to the guy’s heart, apparently. Though he’s a hopeless romantic in all actuality, just the thought of someone that doesn’t care how he is, just the thought of being able to be himself is something he dwells on for long periods of time. And this is probably due to how fake he acts, always loud and arrogant, always showing off and getting into trouble... But never actually being him. The insecure and nihilistic boy that doesn’t understand why no one ever wanted him.

Despite his obvious ego and nihilistic views, he absolutely fears being forgotten by the people he cares about. Not only does he fear it though, he expects it to happen. If he were to talk to someone about it, he’d talk about it as if he’s accepted the fact. But he’s terrified of it nonetheless, he doesn’t want it to happen, he just knows it most likely will.

He’s also someone that tries to trick himself into believing that he’s fine. He’s someone that tries to be an optimist in front of others but always ends up being a pessimist literally anywhere else.

Despite the fact that he lies… A lot… He values honesty from others. Especially from those he considers friends. It doesn’t mean that he’ll be honest with them, but it does mean that if they know something or learn something that concerns him in any way. That’s his business in any way. He doesn’t want to be kept in the dark.

He tends to show himself as a confident, talkative prick; as mentioned in the first paragraph. As you probably have realized though, this is false. This is nowhere near to the truth. Now, you may remember me mentioning insecurities. And this is where I shall explain those and how they manifest.

The first(and biggest) insecurity is that he is going to die and no one will even notice, and that no one will even care if they do. This is connected to that deep rooted fear that I mentioned earlier. Just like the fear, he’s accepted that he will die someday, and that when that day comes… No one will notice, no one will care, no one will cry or shout or deny. It will happen and there will be no consequences to it at all. He tries to not let himself think about it too much.

The second insecurity, and one that plays into the first one, is that no one wants his company more so that they want him to do something that needs to be done for them. Something that he’s noticed in the past is that as soon as he’s done with a job or favor or promise, the person immediately drops all contact with him. So trust and actual deep connections with people are not something he has.

The third insecurity I’ll be explaining is the last one(Well, it’s not his last one, it’s just the last one I’ll be talking about.) He knows he seems talkative and loud most of the time, and he knows that that’s what people expect of him. And he thinks that since that’s what people expect of him, that that’s what people want from him whenever they hang out with him or talk to him.

Frankly, Aries is not a fan of how the King is running it. But… Well… His parents don’t seem to care, as long as their pockets aren’t affected. Which they aren’t, not much, given that they’re in completely different kingdoms. Aries is kind of waiting for when their people have enough and start to rebel. At this point, he’s fairly certain it’s going to happen. He hopes the Crowned Princess is smarter than the King.

Appearance:
Gwyar resides at a height of 6’ 7”, a rather intimidating height to most. Though even how he holds himself is enough to intimidate most, he practically adds another inch with how confidently he holds himself. His skin tone is pale ivory-porcelain with neutral undertones, which adds to his overall paler, sicker look. He has almost no freckles on his body, except for one or two here and there. When it comes to piercings, Gwyar has plenty.

Gwyar has a diamond face shape, meaning he has a smaller forehead and a smaller chin, and the middle of his face is wider, the whole thing on the longer side. His cheeks are on the slimmer side. Now for the nose, something that he’s glad about is the fact that it is an aquiline shaped nose, meaning it's the stereotypical 'normal' nose. His lips are downturned in shape, making confident, sly smirks or thin, pressed lines as his resting expressions.

His eyebrows are rather thick in thickness, with a rather obvious arch. Finally his eyes, these are a deepset hooded. His eyes are a light gray that can sometimes be mistaken for an almost silver color, with heavy eye bags underneath. His face is framed by wavy, red hair that has blonde highlights going through it, all completely natural. The back of his hair is fluffier than the front by a long shot, and the back of it goes to his hips in length, while the front only goes down to his ears. It’s usually in either a ponytail, a bun, or a braid.

Now for the ‘fun’ part… Scars. Gwyar has plenty of scars. He has one that goes from under the right corner of his lip and through it. He also has one that looks like a slash across his neck. As well as a scar that goes from the top of his left eyebrow to his hairline. He has plenty of scars littering his scalp, all more or less hidden by his hair. And all of the ones covering his arms, ones that give the impression of blocking either blades or whips. Take your pick on that, because chances are he’ll never tell. Much more intimidating to not explain, after all. Most are from the training that his parents had him do since he was physically able to and some are from fights that he’s been in.

Personality:
To put simply, Gwyar is loud, confident, and laidback. He doesn’t care what anyone else says or does or thinks. He has a very ‘Who cares what the world says? What matters most is what you say’ mindset. Of course though, that’s only how he shows himself. Quite honestly… He cares- A lot. His ego is very easy to break, and ten times as hard to build up again.

He’s fiercely loyal, and it’s both a downfall and an asset. Both for the same reason. He’ll never betray someone once he sees them as a friend. Once a friend, always a friend. Even if they end up hurting him too many times to count. This has managed to get him into a few bad situations with friends that ended up with them not being friends anymore.

Something else that’s a blessing and a curse is how honest he is. Which is very. The only way he can lie is by hiding things- And even then… If someone finds out and questions him on it, he’ll end up telling the truth. This has caused his loyalty and honesty to have many internal battles- The outcome tends to depend on whether or not he subconsciously knows what he’s hiding will end up causing more harm by lying than not. More often than not, what he’s hiding is how he truly feels. It’s just about the only thing that he doesn’t have to battle honesty vs loyalty with, either.

Guilt is something that is very easy for him to feel… It doesn’t matter how long ago it was; if he’s reminded of it in a way that could make it seem like it was his fault- Then he’ll take that to heart. And no matter if someone else tells it in a different way later on where it wouldn’t seem like his fault; the guilt will linger.

To him; actions speak louder than words. People can lie with words but it’s harder to lie with actions. And even his own lying, when he does it, tends to follow this pattern. It’s harder for him to act fine than it is to say that he’s fine. He can wake up and say he’s fine, but he needs a few minutes to actually work himself into acting fine. The only words that mean anything to him are ones written in history books. And they literally just describe actions, talk about actions.

He also has absolutely no social skills. His default modes of talking are long speeches and short, clipped replies or orders or whatever else. Most of his speaking interactions have either not existed due to being extremely introverted or have happened in times of semi-crisis, stress, or pressure. Or in training for numerous things. So social interactions, cues, and skills are practically nonexistent. He’s much better with business or professional talking though, and his voice tends to be fairly monotone- Something that he inherited from his mother, that he truly doesn’t enjoy.

He’s incredibly impulsive, and with his tendency to not care what happens to him- He can throw himself into danger and not think twice about it. He’ll beat someone up if they mess with his friends, he’ll burn down an entire town if his morals are questioned. Frankly, he’ll do a lot if he has to. Or thinks he has to.

His memory… Is astounding, to put simply. Specifically, his muscle memory. If he physically does something once, chances are that he’ll be able to do it with ease again and again afterwards. And his ability to remember written words and numbers is great too, not quite on the level of photographic but fairly close. Especially with his tendency to use marks, write notes, and any other trick when it comes to books. Audiographic and other memory types are where it starts to taper off, especially audio memory. He’ll forget everything people say rather easily if it isn’t reinstated multiple times. Which is why he tends to write lists or notes or reminders for himself. They definitely help.
Skills:
Swordsmanship! Aries knows what he’s doing with a sword, there’s no other way to put it. He learned from a young age, and enjoyed it enough to keep at it.

Hand-to-Hand combat. He knows how to throw a punch, and a kick. And with the amount of muscle he’s been able to build up recently? Yeah, he’s ready to beat people up with his bare fists.

Strategy. Despite seeming like an ‘all brawn and no brain’ based on appearance alone- Don’t question his intelligence, since he does know how to use his brawn most effectively. No denying how much his love of history helped, it definitely allows him to pull some last second tricks based off of old, dead people.

Secrets; He may suck at lying. But hiding things and keeping secrets? Wow, it’s so easy. After all, distracting people from the truth is a way of hiding things, not lying- And that’s kind of what he defaults to under pressure. Even with himself.

Self-Esteem Issues/Social Skills; He sucks at believing in himself and he sucks at talking(probably because he sucks at believing in himself). Someone else needing some encouragement? He can usually encourage them to the point where it’s borderline intimidating. But if he needs encouragement? Yeah… Nah. He has no idea how to do that.

Emotions; He sucks at dealing with emotions. Especially negative ones like stress, powerlessness, hurt, sorrow, and the like. If he feels as though someone has betrayed him or as though everything is getting to be too much for him to handle- He won’t do anything about it other than bottle it up, pretend it isn’t there, and try to distract himself from it. Which usually leads to him getting conflicted/mixed feelings and/or things getting worse.

Insomnia/Nightmares; Something that Gwyar is no stranger to is insomnia. Most nights, he can’t sleep. Most nights, he’s restless and awake and so very exhausted. Exhausted to the point where you’re too tired and too energetic to fall asleep. When he does manage to fall asleep, his nights are usually plagued by bloody or grotesque nightmares that have him waking up in a cold sweat and unable to sleep until he’s passing out from exhaustion. He never screams though, never wails. That’d just be humiliating!

Intrusive Thoughts; They tend to be ones that have something to do with violence or just negative thoughts that he pushes down. He doesn’t know how to get rid of them, so he usually tries to ignore them. Which doesn’t normally help.
