Something that makes this mare distinctive is her sheer size. Now this mare is a tall animal, standing at a very impressive 18.1hh and weighing proportionately hefty 2,000 pounds. The fact that she towers over a good amount of horses draws the eye to her at a glance. And frankly, the sheer size of her is intimidating to most who don't know her; and no doubt, she, like most of her breed, is a giant of a horse. Her body gives no doubt that she possesses great physical strength; broad chest, wide shoulders, short but muscular back, and long powerful hindquarters, and muscular frame all give indicators of this.

Her coat is a relatively plain one, compared to the more flashy horses, but pretty nonetheless. Most of it is a dark black, like ink, that gleams in the sunlight, and takes on a blue-ish hue when in less direct light; but she has an irregular stripe from her forehead, almost where her forelock is located, and tapering down to a barely there thread of white at her mostly pink muzzle. The only other place where white occurs on this mare are the legs, present in the feathering; the fine silky hair is all white, covering her hooves when not in motion, and coming in just below the knees and the hocks respectively, in a kind of slanted angle. The mane and tail is also the same inky black color as her coat, and it takes on the same blue hue as it too. Her eyes, large and dark, are a deep brown, set in a large and lean head; that is connected to a slightly arched neck that is long in proportion to her body.

Her gaits are surprisingly smooth and graceful for such a large horse; yet they carry a power and force as is proper for her size. Asteria may not be the fastest horse, but she isn't the slowest either; same for agility, definitely not the most agile, more suited for strength, but she is decently nimble when she needs to be.

Personality:

Asteria is truly a calm horse, not inclined to spook or take an aggressive stance as a reflex. A gentle giant, if you will. she is rarely aggressive, and while most of this is just temperment, a little bit of it is due to her size advantage over others. After all, you're not going to force an animal her height and weight around when they've decided they're not going to do anything or go anywhere. And she knows it. Easy-going, she is a pleasant animal to be around, and is not one to judge a mistake made, quite forgiving actually, unless it is a mistake so grave that it made her angry. Again, she is not a horse that is easily scared, she has all four feet firmly on the ground, and definitely would not be the one to make a false alarm just because she got spooked by something.
