The Overthrown --- Introduction Deep within a vast forest, past dense foliage and jagged mountains, a pack named The Unknown resides. The Unknown, although strong and mighty, are under the lead of a powerful, singular alpha, who is nothing short of wicked and merciless. This cruel sovereign reigns with fear, her ways full of macabre. Little defy her, for they know that they will surely meet death, and if not death, then they shall be maimed to the brink of it. Many within the pack are loyal to this vicious leader, for it's either abide her ways, or suffer the consequences. Some of her followers bow to her simply because they enjoy tormenting others as much as she. They see her as superior, and enjoy being on her good side. However, what the cruel alpha doesn't know is that members of her own pack are planning on taking her down. They plan on overthrowing her, for they seek for peace and unity, and a pack without pain. The only way of getting that? Defeat the current leader. While the alpha has heard rumours of such madness, she has yet to find out if these rumours are true, and if so, who is leading them. The Roleplay Rules 1. Follow all of Eve's rules. 2. Be active. I would like to see a minimum of 2-3 posts every week-- if you go inactive for more than five days, your character(s) will be removed from this RP. 3. No creating Mary-sues. Your characters should not be perfect and unrealistic. i.e - they cannot have no scars on them if they have a past of battling others. 4. No godmodding or having perfect characters. 6. This is semi-literate, meaning that you should be posting at least 2-3 paragraphs for every character, for every post. Writers block is understandable, but the rest of us need something long enough to reply to. 7. This RP is semi-realistic. Glowing wolves with neon pink stripes and tutus is not realistic. While you take that rule in, why don't you hide the word parrot somewhere in your form. 8. No love at first sight or having your own characters fall for each other. 9. Put "plate" in other, but hide it in a sentence. 10. Polly, Imperial, and I have the power to accept or deny applications. 11. Make sure you've read everything. If you have, put your favourite weather in other. 12. Ask before seriously killing or injuring another character not your own. They are not yours to control, and you need to ask permission. On second thought, don't put your favourite weather in other. 13. Please use full sentences when you describe your character's appearance and personality (each paragraph should have five sentences). 14. Properly credit your images. 15. Drama is encouraged in this RP, but please, no out of OC drama. It will be shut down quickly if it is seen. 16. You are given three strikes. You will get warnings, and if you continue breaking rules, then you will be kicked out of this RP. 17. Be realistic. A pup cannot kill an adult wolf. Also, when you're fighting, give others a chance to respond. You cannot avoid all hits and land each blow. It's simply unrealistic. 18. Listen to those characters higher-up than your own. Do not act as if you're the leader if you're not. 19. Reservations last 12 hours. If you do not complete your form when your time is up, the spot will go to somebody else. 20. Ranks --- Viscountess This wolf has control over the entire pack and those within it. She emits fear in all those she meets, and has a lust for blood and killing. She is the one who gives the orders that others must obey, or else face sever punishments given by her or her minions. Many wish to overthrown her due to her ways, and if she finds anybody dare go against her, will kill them. She refuses to give up her power. Heirs These are the Viscountess's own flesh and blood. They are the sole rulers if anything happens to her, and she has birthed them specifically for that reason; so her blood continues her legacy. There is a lot of pressure put upon them to be equally sadistic as her. Second-in-Commands There are wolves who are considered Second-in-Commands and are second most dominant. They have a lot of power, and are able to inflict harm on all those beneath them if they wish. They can be part of the Rebellion, or they can be loyal to the Viscountess. They are the ones in charge when she is not present. Third-in-Command These are wolves who are the third most dominant within the pack (after the Viscountess and the Second-in-Charges). They have power over all ranks below them. Their main job is to take over when both the Viscountess and Second-in-Charges are busy, as well as recruit members for the pack. Spy This wolf is recruited by the Viscountess regarding the rebellion. Their job is to find out if anybody looks suspicious. If they find anything, they report back to her. They are intelligent and are loyal. Pack Members These are the main wolves that make up the pack. They can be loyal to the Viscountess, or be part of the Rebellion. They are the ones who hunt and fight when ordered, and must listen to those higher up than them, or suffer consequences. ------- The Rebellion Ranks Leader The leader of the Rebellion and makes the desicion in terms of overthrowing the Viscountess. They are very careful and weary, as to not release their identity, and act loyal to the Viscountess to divert attention from themselves. They must have a high rank in the pack. Beta This is the second-in-command when it comes to the Rebellion, and teams up with the Leader to discuss it in secret. This wolf shall become the next Leader in case the first one is killed. Their job is to also recuit members to join the Rebellion, and pretends to be loyal towards the Viscountess. Spy This wolf works for the Leader of the Rebellion and watches the Viscountess and those loyal to her. They are the ones who inform the Leader and Beta of who might be considered unloyal to the Viscountess based on observations. They are skilled and stealthy. Associates These wolves are part of the Rebellion and wish to overthrown their current leader. They listen to the Leader and Beta, and wish to live peacefully. ------- Other Rogues They are not part of the pack, though soon will join. They can eventually become part of the Rebellion, or be loyal to the Viscountess. ------- Rules of the Pack 1. The Viscountess is to be obeyed at all times. Dare anybody disregard her orders, and a severe punishment will be put in place. 2. The Viscountess has the right to deny or accept members within The Unknown, and will determine their worthiness upon testing them. 3. The Viscountess' main goal is to become the greatest ruler of all. Her rank cannot be challenged. 4. To become mates is forbidden, and to sire pups. Break this rule, and all shall be punished and or killed. The only way to become mates or to begin a family is if the Viscountess gives her word of agreement, and even then, there is a price and deal must be made. 5. Weaklings shall be killed off. 6. Anybody that speaks against the Viscountess shall be severely punished and or killed, same goes for those who go against the rules of The Unknown. 7. The Viscountess is to be treated like royalty. This means bowing down in her presence. 8. When the Viscountess inflicts a punishment, one is never to fight back, but must remain still. If they move, then the pain and severity of the punishment shall increase. 9. While some may join, nobody can leave. Rules of the Rebellion 1. All topics revolving around the Rebellion must be kept secret, as should your rank be in it. 2. Always pretend to be loyal and avert suspicion from yourself in whatever means necessary 3. Never give away revolving around the Rebellion. It is risky, and if found out, can result in death by the Viscountess. 4. Meetings are to be set in place by the Alpha. They are the ones who will find a place and time to meet. These meetings are usually between the Alpha, Beta, and Spy. The topic discussed will be transferred to the Associates later in a discreet manner to avoid suspicion. 5. The Alpha ultimately decides whether one may join or not. As it's secretive, the Alpha must tread carefully in terms of finding out if somebody truly wants to join, or if it's a scheme. Summary of Territory The Unknown has a large territory spanning from miles around. They have a large chunk of forest in the heart of the territory, located next to the base of a smaller mountain. The pack's camp is located within the mountain, where caves have been formed naturally not too far away from a waterfall. The biggest section of the cave belongs to the Viscountess, while the rest of the pack sleeps scattered around within holes in the cave that represent dens. Beyond the forest lies rolling hills that span for miles, in the middle of it, a large river lies that is the pack's sole resource of water. The forest once held a lot of large prey, but has since been hunted due to Maeve's greed. Only small prey remain there, such as rabbits and squirrels, while most large prey has moved on to the rolling hills, such as deer, buffalo, and wild boars. |

Her appearance alone screams fear and power, pure muscle spanning around her physique. Her body is more on the muscular side than lithe, strength being her main advantage rather than speed. That's not to say she isn't quick, simply not as much as others. No, Maeve relies on brute strength and power over speed and agility. Maeve's pelt consists of a creamy colour, which grows lighter beneath her face and underbelly. Light browns soon take over upon her back and ears, giving her a unique patterning with shades of darker brown. This darker colour, so dim that it appears black, sits upon her probiscis and back, where a stripe of it remains. Her eyes are an odd colour, almost a yellow, but not quite, as there are evident signs of a light green within them. No matter their colour, they are always seen staring with pure hatred. Her peltage is thick and long, and in some areas, remains bald and doesn't grow. This is solely due to the several scars and lacerations Maeva had encountered throughout her lifetime after years of battling strangers and members of her own pack. Long, jagged scars of different shapes and sizes lay scattered around her body. Her scars have scars upon them, and there is not one that doesn't stand out. While some remain covered by her fur, many remain out in the open, letting wandering eyes scrutinize them. Scars, Wounds: Maeva has dozens of scars. Some upon her back, some upon her stomach, and some upon her face and neck due to her past, and present actions. Personality: Manipulative || Intelligent || Sadistic || Callous || Dominant || Merciless || Apathetic || Brutal || Wicked || Egocentric || Greedy || Selfish || Impatient || Narcissistic || Petty || Power-hungry || Scornful || Ambitious || Imaginative || Cruel || Domineering Maeve is nothing short of a psychopath. She believes that everybody is nugatory, and uses the art of manipulation to obtain what she wants; power. She is violent and cruel towards others, unbothered by their pain. In fact, she likes pain, and inflicts it on the daily. Her pack must become strong, and in order to become strong, they must have a high pain tolerance. Nobody sees her wincing after obtaining a wound. Nobody sees her crying out. She won't tolerate weakness. How else will they expand? How else will she obtain more land and fill it with more wolves? She is callous and power-hungry. No, she is power-starving. Maeve will never let anybody defy her rank as a leader. She will stop at nothing to remain having that title, which is why she is weary of those around her. However, she never lets her fears show. She lets nothing show, but her vicious traits. Maeve is a sociopath, that much isn't difficult to see. She enjoys death and the darkness, and sits with the shadows as she plots on what more she can take, or how else she could hurt others. Maeve doesn't see her pack as her pack. They are useless creatures that do nothing. They are simply numbers and statistics, helping her reach her goal of ultimate power. She treats them with disrespect and dishonor, and yet demands respect in return. She is cunning and intelligent, able to out think several creatures if it comes to it. She's always be two steps ahead of anybody. If somebody has an idea, she'll make a better one to top it. Maeve needs to be the best. She must be. Sadistic and domineering, Maeve loves having complete control over others. It has come to the point where she will tell others what they can or cannot do. In truth, she is apathetic to others. She cares little about feelings and emotions and sees them as weakness above all else. She is cruel in that sense, not to mention egocentric and petty. The female is all things bad, not a single positive trait making up for all of her bad. She cares only about herself. She is selfish and imaginative, but only for her own benefit. If there came a choice to save herself or a trusted companion, she would run to freedom without looking back. Maeve does not care. Even if she acts like she does, she doesn't. The female is an actress, putting on a show, when in reality, she would sacrifice everybody to save herself. Now, many question whether Maeve is even capable of love. The answer is unknown, even to her. Rather, she shows what little kindness based on how much others do for her. Do what she says, and she will offer a large reward and shower you with gifts to keep your interest. Maeve will make life better for those that follow her. Truly, who needs love when you have that? Affilations: Tavarious ~ This male is perhaps Maeve's most trusted companion. He is as close to a friend that Maeve has. He accepts her for who she is, and she, in turn, accepts him. They have a mutual agreement. A respect of sorts. What more could she ask for? As a thank you, she tends to favour him and shower him with gifts and rewards. He has more freedom than any wolf in her little empire. Cairo ~ Ah, Cairo. The light of her life, the apple of her eye. She cares so immensely for him, well, as much as Maeve is able to. Such pride she feels for her darling offspring, especially since he's exactly like her! She favours Cairo and showers him with anything he desires. That's her son, her child, her heir. Juno ~ This unfortunate female is Maeve's half-sister. Oh, Maeve truly adores her! She shows a rare kindness to Juno. It's her blood for goodness sake! She tends to go easier on her.. Too bad the same couldn't be said for Juno's full sister, Akira. Where did she vanish to? Mab ~ If it were up to her, she would have left this rat behind as a pup rather than take her in. However, Tavarious convinced her otherwise and had decided upon raising her as his own. Maeve never liked her. Her presence disgusted her, however, over time, Maeve found herself enjoying her company. Like a parasite, she wiggled her way in. It came to the point where she saw her as her own. Tavarious cares little for politics and the runnings of the pack. The only thing that feeds the male nowadays is violence. If someone were to turn him, they're need a hell of a proposition that's better than what he has.

Appearance:
Tavarious is a slightly above average specimen, not the largest wolf to ever be seen, but not one to be written off either. He stands at a bit over 35 inches at the shoulder, and weighs around 150 lbs when well fed. His appearance is rather unassuming, despite his size, not one that comes off innately threatening or intimidating, instead, he comes across exactly the opposite as his personality is.
Tav has an athletic and lean build, a mix of balanced power. He isn't the strongest male, though he could hold his own if he ever fought, but not the fastest either. His speed and agility is better than this bigger, stronger wolves, but he won't win the races against the smaller swifter canines either. Overall, though, he's a good balance, and someone who does well in most situations, if it doesn't require him to do any significant brutality.
The male is considerably proud of his fur, having a thick and dense coat, though it is on the slightly coarse side. It allows him to stay warm in even the coldest of winters, and, when he sheds, it prevents him from overheating in the warmer temperatures too. He does his best to keep himself well groomed, but the slightly erratic male doesn't always do a good job. He fur is often a bit tufted, and holds debris in it without him really realizing. It was, after all, Selene who helped him keep up his appearance, and he doesn't realize the disarray that his fur has become in her unrealized absence.
His fur is primarily white and light grey in appearance, making up majority of the color of his coat. However, he does have some hints of cream on him as well. They're primarily right be his eyes, and a bit on his flanks and tail too. The only other markings the male has are in black upon his shoulders and back, and his tail.
He has dark amber eyes that are an unusual color. They aren't quite brown or gold, but also aren't red. Instead they lay somewhere in between, though they hedge towards the brown side. His vocals are on the deeper side too, baritone by nature, with a slight husky tone to them. He'd be an attractive male with a good voice if he wasn't a little crazy.
One thing many don't realize until they get closer, though, is that, unsurprisingly, Tavarious has a plethora of scars littering his figure. They're all masked by his coat and mostly hidden from sight, since none are signficant, but they are there. They're all trophies to him, and he wears them proudly without shame.
Personality:
Tavarious is not a kind soul, instead he could be compared to a walking nightmare. Brutality and violence seem to be his instruments in the composition of his life. There isn't much in the world that Tavarious cares about other than violence, and you won't find him engaging in any normal activities unless instructed to by the Viscountess. He's content to give himself distance from the commoners of the pack, prefering his own company, and those in his head, to regular wolves.
The brute of a male is not social, not friendly, and the farthest thing from compassionate. He's a ruthless killing tool that is happy to be used by anyone who needs his skill set. He cares little for any reward for his violence, as the act of violence itself is the rewards. Other than this one thing, there is very little that Tavarious actually enjoys. He won't humor small talk, and most social interaction is grating on his already fractured psyche. Females, while pretty, he finds to be draining with their whining and drama. So he takes no part in courting or anything fo the sort. To be honest, if anyone ever did catch his attention, that would be where it would end on his side. They would have to court him, and make a hell of a case to get his interest to turn into anything other than just that.
It's best to just give the male space to be honest. Tavarious is not an impatient wolf, but he doesn't need to be frustrated to simply rip someone's throat out. He is calm, unnervingly so. It doesn't make him any less prone to feats of bloodshed just because he is calm, don't take comfort in his presence just because, at the moment, his paws are clean. They won't stay that way.
To put it simply, Tavarious' personality is complicated because, truthfully, he stopped having an active personality a long time ago. He's a dry male, with little sense of humor. His avoidance of social interaction has left him anti-social, so when he does speak he does in a very direct, nonhumorous way. If he ever takes the time to say something that is insultive, it's always what he means. He's never joking, never being sarcastic, just blunt and forward. If he thinks you're about as bright as a half dead cow calf, then that's what he thinks of you, and he's not going to apologize for it. He doesn't pull punches, for anything. He isn't going to spare someone's feelings just because they mgiht be a delicate flower.
Now.. When Tavarious' mind is crazed, broken with anger and fueled by rage and pure bloodlust, he's an entirely different beast. Kind of. When he's been pushed to that extent, there is nothing, besides death, that will stop him until he's had his fill. He won't blink to slaughter entire families just because it pleases him. When he's like this, he desires nothing more than to bathe in the blood of his victims, and only when he's satiated will he stop. It would be best to avoid pushing the male to this extent, so if you ever find yourself pissing him off, it would be best to walk away. Quickly. 
The personalities of the voices in Tavar's head are rather different from their host. There are four, though the last he doesn't realize is actually in his head.
The first voice, the one who Tavarious stopped being scared of, and started to embrace, as he is advocate for significant brutality. Always whispering about death and malice. It desires nothing more than for bloodshed and pain. It encourages things that a young Tavar though he would never find himself doing, but has long since stopped trying to struggle with the voice. Instead he long ago welcomed to the violence of the First. He no longer fears this voice, and it's the one most likely whispering in his head, rarely going dormant.
The second voice is that of a female, a complete opposite of the first voice. She's reassuring and benevolent. Whenever the first comes, the second is too far behind. He's rather fond of this one, and regularly will engage in conversation with her if she's present. She helps make him feel secure and encourages him to help others and do good things. She, and Selene, are the onlys one, so far, who help him deal with the voice of the first.
The third is a male, a more neutral voice. He isn't very present nor vocal often, though he always seems to be lingering in the background. He has little to say, but when he does speak, Tavar has a tendency to listen to him, as he is far more rational about things than he could ever be.

Maeve - The female is one Tavarious considers himself relatively close to, as close as he can be at least. The two have a mutal understanding and respect for how they are, and never expect the other to change. The acceptance of who they are, flaws and everything, is the foundation for their friendship. There is a part of Tavarious that genuinely appreciates that she has embraced his violent nature.
Mab - This female is the closest thing Tavarious has to an offspring, which is ironic considering she looks like she could be. He has raised her since he found her as an orphaned pup, and implored Maeve to let her live. If there is one wolf in the pack Tavarious actually loves, it's Mab. She is daddy's little girl, and has his heart and fractured mind wrapped around her paw.
Other:
It's important to know that, in regards to the voices, they are not separate personalities. They do not ever take over and lead, but they're are, instead, a consistent presence inside his head. Sometimes they are silent, and sometimes they just won't shut up. They may have basic personalities, in how they respond to situations, and things, but they are not different personalities for Tavarious himself.

Rana is a female who, at a glance, doesn't appear at all like her sister, despite being from the same litter. While they are similar in size, that's where the similarities end. Rana is actually taller than her sister, just a bit, at about 30 inches tall. Where she does vary is, that she doesn't have the dainty figure that her sister does. While still lean, Rana carries more muscle on her frame than Cyra, giving her a bit more bulk. So while, in essence, they're similar in stature, Rana is always slightly taller, and slightly bigger, though, despite this, is less dominant than her sister in nature.
As mentioned, the dark she-wolf carries a lean build, majority of her muscle being sinewy and ropey, making her excellant at running down prey over long distances. However, she does carry more powerful muscle in her hind quarters and shoulders, giving her powerful, shorter bursts of speed as well as the capability to lunge onto prey when needed. Overall, while Cyra is more designed for general quickness and agility, Rana is more for endurance, created for long hunts that rarely seem to tire her until the end.
The greatest variation between the two is in their coat color. While Cyra is a medley of colors that make up her striking appearance, resembling their mother more, Rana takes after her father. Her coat is easily mistaken for black, but that would be incorrect. Instead, the she-wolf is more so a dark brown, with darker black fur mixed into her appearance to accentuate her features. Her eyes a bright, smolder amber color that's a few shades off from actual red. Her scent is something smokey, or ashy, and earthy, calming and comforting like a summer campfire.

If there were two wolves who were ever considered polar opposites despite being related, it would be Rana and Cyra. While her sister is confident, bold, and dominant, Rana is none of those things. The larger female instead finds herself being an introvert, one that lives so deep in her shell that it's hard to see passed it. Naturally quiet, Rana doesn't like being in situations that are loud or filled with turmoil, instead preferring an environment that is calm, quiet, and relaxing.
This desire for a calm or relaxing enviroment comes from Rana being a nervous and anxious she-wolf in general. Confrontation, loud voices, tense situations, all of it make her uncomfortable, and she would just prefer to avoid it all when she can. The female is one who is easily intimidated by bigger, stronger wolves, and tends to be a bit shy around others for fear of how they would perceive her. She can be a bit of a people pleaser, preferring to keep the peace, even if it's at her own expense. See, Rana lacks confidence, and is constantly doubting herself already. She has a tendancy to put others before her, even when she shouldn't, and ends with her getting up down a lot, with most of it coming from herself.
Even still, the shy female is a mild mannered creature. She isn't the type to cause drama, or go against the grain, nothing like that. Instead she's timid, and doesn't have the strong will like her siblings tend to have. No, Rana prefers to keep her head down and not draw attention to herself. The nervous wolf doesn't ever want trouble for herself, and gets stressed out whenever she's in a situation that puts her in a bad spot.
Due to her nervous and anxious nature, and the fact that she's rather intelligent despite her flaws, Rana has a personality trait that doubles as a skill. She's incredibly observant, extremely so. She notices a lot of small details that most would miss, that helps her discern things about situations so she can decide how to handle it.
When the female is relaxed, the soft, sweet side of the female that is always present winds up growing. She is a loyal being, one who is always there for others, and will willingly and happily put others before herself. If someone bothered to take the time to build her up and slip passed her walls, they would find a very warm and giving heart full of love and promise.
