Basic History Long ago, the Ancients created a land in the image of their own. In this land, they created beings of immense power and wisdom and called it "Faeloryn". Peace and prosperity reigned above and below for centuries... until the Fall. Darkness stirred and Deities seemed to be compelled to commit acts that were far beyond their normal. Friends clashed and war ignited in the heavens. Below, the wolves that remained experienced all the natural disasters imaginable. When the dust of war finally settled, the heavens lay broken. The Ancients of Old lay dead and those who survived below struggled to exist... Unless they were lucky enough to find a Ruin. Now Ruins are the few hospitable places left in this below world filled with monsters and are fiercely guarded by those who find them. Will you be lucky enough to discover a Ruin and be accepted into a pack? Or what dangers await you in the lands Between? ------------------------------------------------- Basic Facts: - A Ruin is a fragment of paradise that fell from the heavens to the earth. Ruins are seperated by sections of Between (which are the fragments of the old earth that are crawling with monsters and other dangers). Ruins are lead by an alpha pair and their seconds. - The lands Between are BARELY hospitable to life, so for most, being banished Between is a death sentence. It is possible to travel through the Between for short periods, but making a life out there would be nearly impossible. - Wolves of Faeloryn are "gifted" in one way or another. What those gifts are largely depends on you, but those gifts will need to be cleared by myself or Myst during character creation. Gifts may also be bestowed by us for story reasons or by training your current ones. - Wolves live extended lives, though reaching beyond the age of 150 is very unlikely. They are considered adults at 20. - Conflicts are frequent between Ruins and monsters of the Between. Ruin alphas need to guard their borders well to prevent monsters from creeping in. --------------------------------- Rules: 1. This is a literate RP, so 2+ paragraphs is expected. Every now and again shorter posts are allowed, but don't make it the norm. 2. Proper spelling, grammer and punctuation are a must. No chat-speak or emojis are allowed for obvious reasons. 3. God-modding is forbidden. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and must be played as such. (Myst and I have tables to roll outcomes during battles with monsters so fights can be as fair as possible) 4. Characters must have reasonable bios and be accepted before play. We are all for creativity, but you must have reasons for your gifts or physical features if they differ from normal wolves. 5. Currently we are only allowing 3 characters per person (subject to change) and only 1 ranking character per person. Mates to ranked characters are an acception to this limit. Most ranks need to be earned through RP. 6. Please be active. We reserve the right to drop people who post infrequently. Name: Rafael Age: 80 Gender: male Ruin/Rank: Mercy Ruin, Alpha Appearance: a snowy white wolf with silvered tipping to his fur. His eyes are a Starburst of blue over almost black brown. He's not as strong as other males of similar age but has a quiet and soothing nature to him. He's rather lanky. Personality: Quiet, thoughtful, peaceful unless directly challenged. He is doting on his mate and pups and fiercely protective if the ruin is in danger. Gift: healing through touch Family: WIP /no living parents, does have a mate Backstory: one of the first in the region to find a Ruin... he noted their special nature. Realizing the blue flowers that grew in it, were those spoken of in legends as those that covered the cliffs of heaven. He now protects his Ruin and welcomes wolves who need help inside. Name: Aluralyn Age: 80 Gender: female Ruin/Rank: Mercy Ruin, Alpha's Mate Appearance: Aluralyn is a rich russet red wolf with honey gold highlights on her underside and legs. Her eyes are a vibrant green with gold flecks. She is large and fairly bulky for a female with obvious scarring from many a fight. Personality: Fiery, combative and dominant. It is no wonder why she is an alpha's mate. Rafael is the only male she will willingly yield to for reasons she will not share. She tends to handle a lot of the border patrols and training while her mate handles the actual ruling bit. She can be a bit short tempered and tends to sort out problems with her teeth rather than her words. If you earn her respect, she is a loyal friend and unrelenting ally. Gift: Supernatural fighting abilities (strength/speed) which only trigger if she is in mortal danger. Generally scraps between wolves are not enough to trigger it unless someone else is using their Gift against her Family: WIP /no living parents, does have mate Backstory: Was discovered by Rafael Between not long after the Fall badly injuried by monsters. She was healed by him and she followed him ever since. They have been mated a long time, but they worry her past injuries have hampered her ability to have pups. Other: hetero |

Name Ashklynn (Ashi, Shkla) Age 34yrs. Gender Female Ruin/Rank Prosperity - Member (Second hopefully) Appearance Much like her name might suggest, Ashklynn reminds others of forest fires, with dark gray fur and brilliant amber eyes that light up when her pack-mates talk to her. [Mod Edit: Images removed for hotlinking, DeviantArt is not an acceptable image hosting website.] Personality It's safe to say that Ashklynn is distant and cold towards others, but it's not her fault - most of the time. She likes hanging out with her pack-mates and would do absolutely anything her Alphas told her with no hesitation. All she knows is loyalty, ever since she was allowed to join. Ashi pushes herself to exhaustion more often than not due to her drive to serve the pack that took her in. Ashklynn does her best to make others happy, even when she ends up pissing someone off. She can be quite playful, too. However, do not, under any circumstances, make this girl mad. She may put up a sweet front, but behind those smiles and happy-go-lucky attitude, Ashklynn is seriously dangerous. Her pretty face hides a sharp tongue and even sharper teeth, and neither of which are fun to deal with. Ashi does her best to keep this side of herself in check, but she loses her self-control around those who belittle her or disrespect those she cares about. Gift Fire Walking - the only thing that kept her alive while traveling Between was her Gift. It allows her to travel safely within any fires near her, and she can manipulate it to an extent if in extreme danger. Affiliations To Be Determined Cypress - cousin (Open for a mate and best friend) Backstory Ashklynn was born to the Alpha pair of a much smaller Ruin, though it was overrun when she was just nine years old. She fled to Between, where she met what she would soon know to be a demonic entity. This entity taught her to master Fire Walk but later tried killing her. She was found and saved by the Prosperity Ruin when she was thirteen. She has served her alpha ever since. Other Shkla speaks Russian, since that was the tongue of her Ruin. C - Khalliysgraphy on DA (Tina) *** Name Cypress (Cy, Rea) Age 28yrs. Gender Female Ruin/Rank: Mercy - Member Appearance Cypress is an elegant girl with mostly brown fur and sweet yellow eyes. She had reddish tones near her face, particularly at the base of her ears, that fades to a gentle cream color around her muzzle and chest. She has long, slender legs and shapely paws. But she also knows how and when to perfectly slack off - though she claims she preserving her energy. Cy is unusually cold to most of her pack-mates, often causing tension between them. As if her Gift has hardened her heart the way it does her skin, Cypress doesn't like getting too close to others. However, she desperately wants to find someone she can love, stone heart and all. Gift Stone Fur - wholly defensive, this gift gives Cypress the ability to harden her fur into a material akin to stone. She can use it at will, but it is far more durable if she's in danger. Affiliations To Be Determined Ashklynn - cousin (Openly looking for a mate, she wants babies) Backstory Born to the same small Ruin as her cousin Ashklynn, Cy was the daughter of the Beta pair. As her Ruin was overrun, Cypress was nearly killed. Her Gift activated, and she went into a hibernation-like state for ten years. When she awoke, she traveled Between until she found the Mercy Ruin. Name: Oryxxz Age: 60 Gender: male Ruin/Rank: Prosperity, Alpha's mate Appearance: Oryxxz is what would be best described as a walking shadow. He is exceedingly dark but with slightly lighter patches to his joints or chest where he has a few stray tan or cream hairs. His eyes are golden ochre. Like some canines he has a few dark splotches to his tongue. His ruff his longer as is his tail.. otherwise he's rather fine boned. Definitely not built to be the main take down force on a hunt, but quick enough to incapacitate a leg. Personality: Stern to aloof with strangers as his gift makes him vulnerable to multiple parties.. Oryxxz once he gets to know the members of his pack is very nurturing and almost mothing. He has been known to get edgy and almost timid around the edges of the between. Gift: the gift of life.... due to his time in the between, traveling to the ruin in which he now resides, Oryyxz has been given the ability to welp pups. With the condition his spirit is bound to the one he bonds to.. that just so happened to be Jys'thryn of the Prosperity Ruin. He is always on guard to make sure his bond is not stolen away. Family: his mate Jys'thryn and a brother Aerazel who is still missing in the between. Backstory: after heaven's fall Oryxxz was born to a low ranked pair in a tiny ruin. He cared for his brother after their mother died and would hunt with his father. One day however he was stolen away from his father's side and spent the next unknown amount of time having to deal with entities that sought to mold and control him to their will... one fateful day though he broke free.. running day and night until he found safety in a new ruin. He was weak, hungry, and scorched.. but the ruins master found him and cared for him. He is now completely devoted to the alpha and helps him however he can... they have tried for pups but none have come yet. Maybe one day. Other: same sex pair. |

Name: Jys'thryn Age: 85 Gender: male Ruin/Rank: Prosperity Alpha Appearance: Jys'thryn is a BUILT wolf. He is large, muscled and intimidating. His markings are akin to a German Shepard, with a black saddle, mask and ruff that are tipped with a rich gold. His underbelly is a sandy gold with a sprinkling of black hairs. His eyes are a piercing gold. Personality: Jys'thryn is a hard wolf to get to know. He is very distrustful, suspicious and prone to attack first and ask questions later. If you earn your way into his pack, he is a very loyal alpha. He will protect his pack mates with his life and is fatherly when he wants to be. He jealously guards his mate from others and tends to admit his mate is his better half. He is openly gay and took Oryxxz as his mate proudly. Gift: Jys'thryn has a supernatural aura of influence around him. He tends to use it as an intimidating aura, but he can change it to an aura of calm or inspiration if he chooses. He has been honing this ever since he became alpha. Family: Oryxxz. Backstory: He was the first to find his Ruin and protected it jealously from monster and wolf alike. He honed his fighting abilities over the years protecting his lands from others. He found Oryxxz Between and their bond started to relax his iron hold on the territory.
