Neither trusts the other, but they are, in a sense, sister packs. The Uldre wolves and the Svelt members meet once every four full moons to discuss how the peace will be kept. At their last meeting, however, the beta of the Uldre Pack was found strangled. With so many scents in the area, it was impossible to tell who had murdered him, and the already tense peace between the packs was broken. They have begun passive aggressive tactics to try and blame each other for the death, and their packs are coming closer and closer to all-out war. Unbeknownst to them, however, the true murderers are dwelling on the edge of their territories. A group of rogues are staging a total takeover, and the disharmony within the packs is bringing them ever closer to their endgame. ---------------------------------------------- RP RULES ---------------------------------------------- 1. All WP rules apply. This is PG 13. 2. Five character limit for now. Make sure you are able to maintain posts for all of your characters. If you can't, kill one or two off. 3. This is a relatively realistic RP; no OP characters or unrealistic colors or measurements. 4. This is a semi-lit to literate RP. I expect 180+ words per response and this should be expressed in your forms. 5. Personalities and appearances must be at least one paragraph of full sentences. Measurements may be included in appearances. 6. All pictures used must be properly credited, uploaded to an approved image hosting site, and must be able to be used in the first place. Forms that do not follow this will be rejected. 7. No OOC drama. If you have an issue with someone, PM me or them and talk it out like the young adults we are. 8. Only one high rank per person. 9. In the "Other" section of your form, suggest an additional rule/tradition for one of the packs or the band. 10. Have fun! |

---------------------------------------------- Pack Ranks Explained ---------------------------------------------- Alpha There is only one alpha. He or she is the most dominant wolf in the group and usually one of the older canines. Their word is law, and it is dangerous to go against them. They can be mates with any ranked wolf. If an alpha lives to the age of 15, then they usually retire and let a younger wolf take up the mantle. They are known as Alpha and are rarely referred to by their given name. If an alpha is challenged and they lose, they are demoted back to delta or, in some cases, Omega. Beta The beta can be either male or female, and there is only one. He or she is one of the strongest and wisest wolves of the pack, and they are in charge of enforcing the Alpha's rules and helping wherever the Alpha desires. If the current Alpha loses their position, the Beta is also demoted to a delta and a new Beta is appointed. Delta Deltas are the regular members of the pack that are at least a year old. A pup is considered a Delta once they pass their hunting test and receive their given name. Deltas are the hunters and warriors, the pup sitters and the mothers. They remain deltas until they either reach 13 years of age or are promoted or demoted. Omega This wolf was, for whatever reason, demoted. Whether it was for deceit, a defect, an injury, or tyranny, they are the lowest member of the pack. There does not need to be an omega. Occasionally, the omega may regain their delta status through acts of valor or bravery. Omegas are not known by their given names. To the pack, they are Omega. Elder Elders are any wolves over 13 years of age. They are highly respected and are the primary caretakers and tutors of young pups. Pup These are the young of the pack. They stay in the camp for the first four or five months of life and then are allowed to watch hunts and practice battling with the deltas. ---------------------------------------------- Band Ranks Explained ---------------------------------------------- Lead This wolf has total control over all those below them. They are akin to an alpha, but are much more ruthless and gained their position by killing the previous Lead. Second This is usually the mate of, or next of kin to, the lead. They have less power than the lead, but they are still to be feared. If the lead is killed or leaves, the second usually leaves the band. Member These are the regular wolves in the band. They are all vicious creatures that were raised in brutal conditions; only the strongest survived past puphood. This rank consists of all ages. Any member over the age of 3 may challenge the lead. |

He always put his pack first and was one of the louder advocates for peace between the packs. He was smart and a good fighter, leading to many wondering who could have brought him down in either pack. Other: He is survived by his mate, unborn pups, and an older brother. |

Name: Sylphrena (Syl) Age: Almost 4 Gender: Female Pack: Band Rank: Lead Credits to windfuchs on DA Syl is a striking white wolf. She stands at about 32 inches and is on the lighter side of the scale as far as weight is concerned, but she holds her own with ease. Muscle ripples beneath thick, soft fur; black pawpads and a dark nose are the only parts that remain uncovered by it. Her large, feminine eyes are a burning orange or dark amber. In the light, they appear more golden, though the reddish tint is still visible. Her stare is deadly -- almost as deadly as she is. She is an excellent battler despite her more mediochre size, skillfully using her oponents' strengths against them. Her preferred method of warfare is mental, though. If she can win a skirmish psychologically, she much prefers that, as a defeated mind lasts much longer than a wounded body. Personality She's thoughtful, calculating, and observant: a fatal combination when used against other wolves. Syl may be young, but she has learned how to manipulate and take control. She's a dominant wolf, though she doesn't really desire a position as an alpha at this point. Maybe never. Who knows? Her moves are well-played with the future in mind. She makes no decision lightly, and emotion rarely plays a role in them. In fact, emotion rarely plays a role in anything when it comes to Sylphrena. She's the iciest-blooded mammal out there. Her only soft spot? Pups. She wants them. Does she let other wolves know that? Absolutely not. Syl, while a harsher wolf, is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. Whether her family, friends, or acquaintances whose company she can stand, this female will fight tooth and claw for them. She holds no resignations or hesitation with slaughtering a threat to her "family". Sylphrena becomes more neutral around those she respects and cares for. She has never been one to show affection where any wolf can see, but she can manage to be borderline gentle to those she loves. To her band, she will appear hard and demanding. She has a vision, and by the ancestors, it will come to pass. Syl does not tolerate disrespect or skirmishes between members. She runs a well-oiled machine, and she intends to keep it that way. Sylphrena will not back down and is a more than capable fighter. Name: Chinook

Rank: Delta Credits to Wincey (1st) and Tiefenschaerfe (2nd) on DA. Same user, same wolf. Chinook is a very handsome male. He stands at 34 inches and is in the middle of the weight spectrum for his height. His body is well-toned and his strength is evident in the way he moves. However, his appearance is deceptively kind. Intelligent, reddish-brown eyes are set in a well-proportioned face rimmed by soft, thick fur. His dense coat seems to groom itself, always looking sleek and touchable. This male is the opposite of touchable. Underneath his pelt, his skin is riddled with scars, both from hunts and from fights. Most of the latter were his victories. The vast majority. His most notable scar is a once-deep gash across his chest and lower throat, given to him by a wolf he loathed -- and killed. Chinook refuses to speak about this wolf, and few know the story. Chinook's coloring is warmer scale. His base is a terracotta of sorts with honey highlights and cream undertones. Patches of deeper brown and black congregate to frame his eyes, cover his forehead, sweep across his back and tail, and form a triangle at the nape of his neck. His undersides are a darker cream in color with hints of orange to it. The larger spots of fur around his temples and above his eyebrows turn into a black M shape, which extends along his neck and to his shoulders before more color enters the scene again. The bridge of his nose is a golden brown, as are the sides of his cheeks, and this melts into an off-white muzzle and cheekbones. Chinook always has a sort of passive look to him. Calm, relaxed, but ready. His languid movements can tense up at any time, his smooth tone can turn to jagged ice, his relaxed figure can stand tall and sturdy and domineering. This brute is death personified, and oh boy does death look hot. Personality: Chinook is not one to take ranking lightly. He bends to those above him and observes those at his own level with constant, ever-watching eyes. He is loyal to his alpha, his beta, and his pack. Those who prove traitorous get no respect from him. He is a quiet kind of scary; a soft whisper will freeze blood, a bark will break bones, a growled word will instill fear. A look could kill. Chinook holds respect in high regard; if a wolf, or dog, does not have his or another's, he looks down on them. He is not a kind creature; his drive is survival, and Mother Nature is not kind. The weak will die off, and he will be more than happy to help them along. Now, he is not an evil animal. He is altruistic towards his packmates, and he does not play around with things he should not be involved in. He follows the rules, crosses all his "t"s, dots his "i"s. Actually, he can be quite a charismatic individual. However, this is only in the case of others in his immediate close circle -- his pack. Chinook is a fighter; he has the scars to prove it, and he does not intend to succumb to another animal any time soon. He is fueled by adrenaline. It keeps him alert, keeps him on target. He is not one to get antsy by the feeling; rather, it has an eerily calming effect on him that seems to only enhance his prowess. . Sierra|7 years|Female|Svelt|Beta Sierra is a beautiful red wolf with a white chest, muzzle, paws, and tail tip. She has a lean body and big shoulders and long legs but is smaller then usual. She has amber eyes with yellowish swirls in them and some dark red around her eyes. She is very well-cared and is very well-fed looking, she's not fat though, don't call her fat unless your asking for death. She has beautiful glossy fur and dark red flecks in her red fur and silver flecks in her white fur. ~ Sierra is very brave and respectful. She can be snappish but is protective and dedicated to her duties. She loves pups and wants some. She also quite enjoys hunting and a peaceful camp. She is quite the awkward she wolf and hates challenges and crowds of wolves and prefers solitude sometimes. She is never bothered when her alpha comes and talks to her when she wants to be alone and normally just says "Yes alpha." When they go up and ask her to do something. Sierra is loyal and determined to be true to her rank and enforce the alpha's rules as much as she can. She stays very true to her words and doesn't break any promises unless needed for any of her packmates' survival even the omegas. She likes looking at the stars and watching the sunset, lot of the times talking to the sky because of her dead brother, hoping he can hear her. She likes to just sit around and think about stuff when she sits outside her den at night too. Sierra is very adventurous and courageous and likes hunting, but doesn't like to fight unless it's a rogue she is going against. She loves watching the camp for some reason, like guard. She protects her alpha with boldness and loyalty, and fights with full force for her alpha. She'll even fight to the death if she has to for her alpha or her high position. She is always making sure others are doing well before herself. A mature one, she is. Esmra doesn't tolerate immaturity. She will call you out on it. Esmra may not look that intimidating but you will find out real soon. She is kind to everyone when she meets them unless they do something to piss her off. She isn't one to hold grudges against others despite her sarcastic mouth. . Her loyalty lies within the pack. She respects everyone despite their rank. Esmra puts everyone above herself. She sees them more as a priority to her. Esmra would most likely sacrifice herself for the pack. She doesn't see something like that needing to happen, but it stays in the back of her mind. Esmra knows she is alive because of this pack. You would never see her betraying them in any way. That's not who she is. . The female has confidence in herself. She is a very independent female who believes she will get things done faster by herself. However, she doesn't mind group work. She does work very well with others but she prefers to do it alone. Esmra is very determined. When she puts her mind to something, she will make sure to get it done before anything. . Esmra is known to be an intelligent she wolf. She has survived for quite a while now and understands the way of the lands. The she wolf is a skilled problem solver. She comes up with solutions to any problem, knowing it will work.
