Thank you - Nestled deep within a desolate, untouched territory lives an established pack of wolves. They have lived there for generations and have written their own stories and began their own traditions and marked their way of life. But just because they have lived peacefully for years doesn't mean that they have not persevered through challenges. Mother nature has put them to the test, only leaving the strongest standing. But she isn't through with them yet. As the summer months come to a close, autumn is looming closer. The leaves are beginning to turn into soft ambers and reds, a sign that the cold winter months will approach soon. With the cold bitterness of winter comes the risk of starvation and sickness. While the winter months always come around, this year is different. The previous alpha pairing passed last spring. They had promised their heirs that they would stay as long as they could, and had even managed to live through the tough winter season. The pair ruled with wisdom and courage, hoping that they could pass on all their knowledge to their heirs. Now, the current alpha pairing has been ruling for a couple months now and it has been smooth enough. But the real challenge is just beginning. Not only are the winter months approaching, but mulitple loners have been spotted in the area. With any newcomers brings higher competition for food and resources. Will they come in peace? Perhaps seeking a place in the pack? Or do they have other intentions? - Important Notes
This RP is quite open in terms of plot. I have set it up to have some initial possible plot points(sickness, starvation, new loners, etc), but this RP is also open to much more. Any ideas are welcome and should be discussed in our Discussion Thread! Drama is encouraged as it lights fire and moves the plot! Don't be shy. Dramatic plot points are fun and engaging. It can range anywhere between sickness running through the camp, a patrol running into an aggressive bear, or even an intense love triangle/square/quadrangle! Whatever you're looking for.

Territory
The territory is like a loose circle. Forest is spread throughout the majority of it. To the North: The territory has mountain ranges. Cold and snowy. Dangerous if a wolf falls or slips.
To the East: The lake, the main large body of water that the territory offers. Here, wolves often go fishing(if capable) or for a swim. The only dangers here are if a wolf cannot swim. But simple harmless streams break off from the lake, carrying water everywhere through the territory.
To the South: Rolling hills and plains. Best place to find deer herds roaming.
To the West: The canyon. Most wolves don't go there because it is hard to find resources and the risk isn't worth it. Dangerous predators like cougars and snakes are found here. Falling is fatal. - Den Site
The den sit is in the heart of the territory, nestled safely within the dense woods. The den site is a collection of dug-out dens. The alphas have their own, as do the betas and the healer. The high guards, spy, and the pack members share one large one which is dug under an ancient oak tree, its strong thick roots helping the foundation and creating the structure. Any nursing mothers and pups are placed in a nursery den. Trainees also have their own den as well. In the middle of the camp, there is a small stream where the prey pile sits. A large smooth stone is used as a pedestal for meetings. - The NorthWind Pack
Alphas
The leaders of the pack. They make the most important decisions and are highly respected. They are a mated pair chosen by the previous alphas, but don't necessarily need to have blood relations to the previous alphas.
Betas
The betas are second in command, helping the alphas make educated decisions and enforcing the rules within the rest of the pack. They don't have to be mates, but it is expected for them to become mates eventually, so that in the future, they will be a successful alpha pairing.
High Guard
The strongest and most level-headed of the bulk of the pack. They are regarded as the most skilled in terms of hunting and combat. They are in charge of making sure the rest of their packmates are doing well. They keep their eyes on injuries and if anyone needs to be taught more skills or need further training. Most of the time, they are responsible for planning hunts and leading patrols.
Spy
The spy is a close consultant to the alphas. They keep an eye on the inner workings of the pack, check out the territory, protect the borders, and then relay any information to the alphas. They are only allowed to discuss their findings to the alphas unless otherwise stated. They are trusted with sensitive information. The spy is one of the only ones allowed to leave the camp without permission.
Healer
The Healer is in charge of healing wounds and tending to injuries. They have a skill in medicine and are expected to gather remedies and herbs as well. While they are mostly used for healing purposes, they are also taught basic hunting and fighting skills to be self-sufficient. Pack Members
The rest of the pack who are in charge of hunting, fighting, and scouting the territory.
Mothers
Any nursing or expecting females. They are allowed to do their normal duties until they are closer to giving birth. They are also given a break while their pups need to nurse and aren't expected to go back to duties until their pups are not helpless anymore. Pups
Any young wolves from birth to six months. During this time, they live with their mother in the nursing den. Trainees
The younger generation who are at least six months and have begun training. They aren't allowed to leave the densite without supervision. Loners
Wolves without a pack who wander. They can remain alone or join the pack at any time. Or, they can live with company or a group. - RP Rules

Ferno has a larger and muscular build, standing at 32 inches at the shoulder. He looks a lot larger than the average, partially due to his thicker and fluffier pelt. Ferno's pelt is a mix of tans, creams, browns, and black. While the majority of his pelt is a soft tan, a creamier shade paints his belly, chest, and throat. A darker umber color covers his side, haunches, forelegs, ears, and head. And along his backside are specks of black and creamy white, a pattern that continues from the top of his skull down to the length of his tail. His piercing yellow eyes stand out against the natural browns of his fur. Personality
Ferno is a good fit for the beta position. Even though it was bestowed upon him by the new alpha pairing, they did a good job of choosing him. Ferno is patient and understanding, as he has a careful calculative eye with good perception. Ferno likes to take his time with his decisions, often mulling over them until he is certain. Thus, the male never jumps to conclusions too fast. The beta is a good consultant since he often has a clear head and isn't swayed by emotion too often. In fact, most would say that Ferno has little emotion, or in the very least, isn't too expressive about his feelings. Usually a bit closed off, he isn't the type to go out of his way to make conversation with others. Ferno is most comfortable when he is alone, and being by his lonesome doesn't bother him at all. The male can often be found laying in camp when not busy next to a nice meal. He rarely makes conversations with others, unless they are business related. While he may be seen as shy due to his closed off nature, he is not afraid to speak up if he sees something that isn't right. He has a strong moral compass, leading him in his daily life. Ferno makes noble decisions, never acting out of selfishness or jealousy or spite. It is almost certain that he does everything with all of his effort. When he finally gets comfortable with someone, he will eventually be able to make simple conversation with them. Ferno finds it a little hard to trust others, but eventually, he finds his way there. And once someone has earned his trust, he will be by their side no matter what. Ferno is trustworthy and loyal, always finding his way to someone's aid no matter the cost. Family

The female stands at a height of over three feet, thus, making her an idea candidate for a High Guard. Her physique is lithe when it comes to her legs and lower body, yet muscular when it comes to her chest and upper body, making it appear rather masculine in that manner. Gara is pure intimidating when it comes to her height, voice, and how she presents herself. The female walks with strength, power, and pride. Her head is always held high and her strides and long and sophisticated. She walks as if she is an important individual, which, she supposes that she is. Gara's pelt has unique colourations. The best way to describe her is: autumn. Her fur consists of very fall, autumn-like colours with oranges, browns, and earthy tones. The redness in her pelt is one of the most dominant ones, having taken up most of her legs, muzzle, and top of her head. The next dominant colour would be a dark brownish black, which takes up the tip of her tail, her back, and her face. She has a unique pattern, the black appearing almost as if she's wearing a coat and a mask to match. Gara's additionally has some white upon her fur, mainly upon her muzzle, chest, neck, and upper back. Her eyes are a dark brown and rather droopy, adding onto her intimidating look. Her voice is deep and, when needed, is able to grow loud enough to boom across the entire pack. Gara's scent consists of petrichor and an incense-like smell. Her peltage is thick and long, and in some areas, longer than other, such as upon her head and upper back. Several scars remain scattered around her body, perhaps more than any other individual. She has healed cuts that were once deep lacerations nearly everywhere seen, and she wears them with pride. Personality: Gara, at first, is seen as an intimidating, stern, angry individual, her face always serious and fangs hanging out. However, upon conversing with her, one would see that she is surprisingly.. Kind? Respectful? Warm? Gara, to put it plainly, is only intimidating when she needs to be. She is a loud yet warm individual, always offering advice and sharing stories if she has any. She shares anything that has peaked her interest, and does so with a good joke or two. Gara enjoys teasing lightly with the entire pack, offering small comments and compliments here and there. While she can be quiet and reserved at times, her main personality is loud and welcoming. Even if exhausted, you'd never see turn away from another or back down from anything. Gara is only scary when she needs to be. Within an instance, she is able to abandon any emotions that she has and replace them with determination, confidence, and intimidation. She knows when to separate fun from work, and can become professional in a heartbeat. It's as if an entirely different wolf has appeared when this happens. She is also not one to be undermined. She doesn't mind a tease or joke, but she draws the line when one is insulted, and will quickly shut it down. Her dominant self doesn't appear unless absolutely necessary, and she can be ferocious. Gara is one who enjoys using her words first before fighting, but if that doesn't work, she won't hesitate to throw herself upon another, and nobody wants that. To put it plainly, they will lose. Gara has been trained and is very experienced with fighting and making rational decisions. She wouldn't have her title if she wasn't strong in both body and mind. She is cunning and intelligent and full of wisdom, always looking out for others in the pack. She sees herself as a mother to the pack as a whole.. As if she's their guardian. To lose one of them means losing one of her children, thus, Gara puts every bit of herself into all of her actions so that nothing harms them.

Ferno ~ This male is one that Gara is good friends with. His peaceful nature is something that Gara enjoy, as is his ability to speak up when needed. He is one that Gara is able to sit quietly next to and sit in silence without feeling pressure to speak. With Ferno, his mere company is all she needs at times. She is very loyal and devoted to him, and considers him one of her closest friends. Jaya ~ This female is one of Gara's closest companions. It makes sense, after all, they are sisters. When she was younger, she was rude to her sister and lashed out. She was once envious over Jaya, who didn't have to train as much as she, but Gara has learned how to deal with it, and now doesn't mind so much. Since then, Gara has apologized multiple times, and the two have become very close in the past few years. She never saw how supportive Jaya was, her own vision clouded with jealousy. Now, Gara sees how encouraging her sister is, and always has been, and she knows to never disrespect her again. Like Jaya is to her, Gara is protective of her older sibling, and would do anything for her. Ghostbur ~ This male is one that Gara cares for greatly. Backstory: Since a pup, there were high expectations for Gara. Her parents were strong, and so she was told that she must be as well. She was put to train from a very young age, and my, did she train. Gara pushed herself until she was nearly sick in hopes of becoming better, and she did. She worked hard to get where she was. She used to be jealous of her younger sister, Jaya, who didn't spend time training, but now, Gara is grateful that she has been pushed, even if she didn't have much of a childhood.

She stands at a stately 29 inches being above average, yet big too tall. It gives her an edge when it comes to strength and speed. And she weights only 110 and 119 when she's been eating well. So being on the medium to light side also gives her extra speed and nimbleness. However don't discredit her strength. Her body can be described as stock in some areas whereas in places like her legs they are lean and elegant. Her coat can be described as a beautiful autumn scene: a mixture of dark reds, bright oranges, warm and inviting browns , ominous black, and trimmed off with creams and white. Her coat is a bit longer than average but it's of medium thickness. Her tail is quite long and fluffy. Her eyes are that if a emerald green coloration that can clearly express her annoyance, disappointment or any other emotions well. Not to mention her famous glare. Her scent is that of wild honey, aromatic lilies and jasmine. A delicate and sweet scent that seems to float with her as she walks.
Personality: To begin with, this female can be classified as ambivert. She likes being around others and socializing as much as she likes being in the background. She favors just listening and observing others, but she knows when she needs to speak up. She is also good at reading the room and adjusting to situations flexibily. Isolde is highly intelligent and is almost always in deep thought or her mind is always full of plans and ideas. Her relationship with others can be quite complex. Rarely does she ever make the first move to introduce herself, but if she does then something about you fascinates her or something about you is interesting. She may come off as cold and uninviting when you first meet her, but if you're persistent she'll allow you to lay down next to her in silence and if you're lucky engage in conversation. When you manage to become her true friend then she'll open up more and be more vocal around you. She is protective of her friends, and if you are trying to harm them then she will harm you. She also has a sort of intiuition about wolves, and if she doesn't like the vibes then she ain't messing with you. This female has an inquisitive nature, but she burys it deep within her as she's afraid of embarrassing herself by asking dumb questions. And if she does she'll play it off with a sarcastic joke or find a way to pin it on the person she asked. However, you can't miss the twinkle of interest or curiosity and possibly the slightest tilt of her head. When she speaks, it is with elegance and her voice can be described as slightly feminine with a bit of huskiness to it. She is bold and brazen with her words, but will always retain her composure. One could be yelling at her or spewing insults and she would look at them with an unfazed nature, but the only hint of her anger would be in her eyes. When she's really agitated by you then she will snap, and it won't be in an uncontrolled rage, but a more calculated and cunning anger. She will make sure her words hurt and won't stop until she knows the wolf knows their place, and all while having her head held in a haughty manner with a condescending smirk. She may even go as far to mock you for being so rude. Don't be mistaken, if the first thing you do is try to lay a paw on her then her first instinct is to pounce on you and return the favor until she hears you begging for mercy. I guess you can say if you royally piss her off then this Ice Queen's sadistic side will show. This female is quite flexible when it comes to her role in the pack. She's good at receiving orders, as she'll make sure her task is done to completion and be done before time. While she respects those in charge, if she doesn't like the person or think them worthy then she will be snide and icy towards them, but she'd still do the task. However, if the wolf in charge makes a stupid decision, rude to her , or abuses there power she may say something and it won't be nice or she'll find a way to expose them by scheming to have them reveal their true nature. If she knows she can't call you out immediately then she'll have the patience to remain quiet and observe you and the moment she has a chance she'll rat you out. However, if their is a secretive matter going on then she'll hold it as blackmail against you unless you convince her to drop it or to join you. While being a good pack member, she is also a good leader. She isn't the best in giving motivational or optimistic speeches, but she leans toward being more realistic, but can be borderline pessimistic. If a situation is bad then she won't sugar coat it, and she despises those who sugarcoat things. She also has a commanding aura around her when she gives orders, and her tone is almost daring you to disobey or displease her. If you do then you're in for a whirlwind of hurt. When punishing other for misbehaving and disobedience she isn't one to dish out the punishment immediately but she waits for an inconvenient time to make it hurt even more. She also knows how to keep her head during trying times, and this can lead to her bottling up her emotions which can be bad for her. This female is quite good with pups and young wolves. While she is stern and strict with them, she still encourages them to be the balls of energy they are. While she enjoys being in quiet spaces, she'll tolerate loud pups around her but if they get too annoying then she'll kindly reprimand them. Every now and then she'll relax and show off some of her own mischievous behavior around them. She desires her own children, and she would be an excellent mother in her opinion. She would be stern with her children and give them tough love, as she doesn't believe in coddling. Whenever her children are naughty she'll have specific ways to discipline them and it will always end up teaching them a valuable lesson. She also doesn't believe in someone else disciplining her child [even if they deserve it.] unless they are family or a trusted friend. She will rip the wolf who does such a thing a new one, and then she'll discipline her own child. She also respects other wolves children and wouldn't dare think of telling someone else's child something to die but rather consult the parent. When it comes to love, this female isn't the best at showing it. She's more of a mixture between a tsundere and kuudere, she may be more hostile and cold towards the person she likes. It's her own insecurity and anxiety about not being good enough for them. She also may appear to not care at all but she may sometimes unknowingly slip out small words of affection or tenderness towards them. Akhlys Name Meaning: AKHLYS (Achlys) was the personified spirit (daimona) of the death-mist--the clouding of the eyes preceding death. She may also have been the goddess of deadly poisons. Akhlys was probably numbered amonst the Keres.
Age: Four Gender: Female Rank: Spy Appearance: Credits to Khalliysgraphy on DA This female stands at 29 inches in height being a perfect mixture of brawn and speed. She is quite light being in the 97-110 range of weight as it fluctuates. Her fur is quite dense and gives her the appearance of being a tad bit heavier, and she uses it to her advantage at times. Her body is also stocky while her legs are lean and ready to make a swift getaway. Or if she can a barrage of quick attacks on an offender. Her claws are longer than normal and so they're twice as lethal. This females coat is quite light being mostly tan, cream and white but you can see splashes of black along her back and face and tail along with a rusty red color. Her eyes are a sharp amber color that can grow sharp with anger, disgust , focus of many other things. Her scent is that of fresh rain and the snowy/minty smelling daphne flower. Personality: This female carries herself with elegance and class. This includes her speech and mannerisms. Never will you catch her yelling, unless she is absolutely and positively furious. Every word she says is with an elegant manner including hurtful ones. She walks with her head held high as if wearing a crown. She wants to look and act her best as she has her parents reputation to uphold. This female wants them to have a daughter to be proud of. With that being said she does her best to be level-headed and keep her cool under pressure or when someone pushes her buttons. This female can be extremely stubborn. If you tell her something that she doesn't want to do then she will not do it unless you explain in length and detail why it would be good for her. She is also stubborn in her point of view and opinions, once she has formed an opinion of you whether good or bad it rarely will change unless you do something momentous. She is one to hold grudges against you especially if you upset or offend a family member. She also won't back down in arguments and will find a way to make you apologize and take the blame even if she was in the wrong. This stubbornness can be good at times as she will be that friend or family member that’ll stand by your side until you're so annoyed that you'll end up venting. 
This female can be described as aloof. Only those close to her whether in friendship or a familial bond won't experience the worst of this trait. She's not one to immediately come and talk to you, but if you want to talk to her then she’ll indulge you in conversation. ---mostly keeps to herself because she's not into drama unless her family is involved because she will not tolerate anyone in her family being slandered. She can be emotionally cold and empathetic at the same time. It contradicts each other but it's true; she chooses when she shows her emotions as she's not over-emotional. While in the past, she was getting better at expressing her emotions it seems like more recently she's growing more emotionally expressive. If she's in pain then she's one to lock it up to the point it could harm her, if she's angry then she will bottle it up until it boils over and it's a whirlwind of emotions coming out. She'll want to have a brave face but in a way you can tell it would be crumbling. When she does care for emotions, she's the one to ask and care for the emotional wellbeing of others and notice when they're down rather than focusing on herself. It can be a self-destructive habit and it may bring bad things. And this only applies to those she truly cares for. While she enjoys the pack those in her family are more valuable to her, but she’ll come to realize the pack is more important to her then she thinks. This female can be stern in her way of speech and way of acting. It almost always seems to be a small scowl on her face either that or she has a ‘resting bitch face.’ She would be a strict mother if she ever had pups, and right now she's not interested nor does she see the appeal of having them. She likes the adorable little things, but she's not ready for her own. One thing is she’ll be a fierce mother for sure, as she would do anything for her pups. This aloofness gives her the apperance of being unfriendly, while at times she may be, but in reality it just takes a little bit for her to warm up to you. Not to mention she's not impressed with everyone, and in fact sometimes she could care less which can be rude at times (but alas she's working on it.) Just don't bug her to death as she has a social battery and once it's drained she isn't dealing with anyone anymore unless she just really, really tolerates and adores you
This female has a very witty attitude. She's one to very easily use snide remarks if you decide to be smart with her. However, she's one to make remarks that'll either go over your head until later or she'll just serve you right their and then. It's hard to win an argument with this mare as she always seems to have a comeback no matter how weak or strong it is. And that matching with a smug, icy stare on her face makes it even more unsettling. Not to mention if you direct your rude remarks or unkind words towards her someone she cares for then it's on sight. She loses all kindness with her words and becomes a gremlin hell-bent on your destruction. Now this female can be abrasive at times, not to the extent of hate, well...maybe sometimes. It is only when she's criticizing someone on their job or if you ask her for her opinion on someone or something. She will not sugarcoat or hold back her thoughts on the matter, and might even become passtionate, perhaps too passionate. This is quite odd considering she's not good at expressing emotion but if it's something she's sure of then it's different. Sometimes she can even become quite rude if you're bothering her too much or your just plain annoying her or she doesn't like you. She usually keeps this under wraps and holds a more cold tone and manner with you. This she-wolf is quite family oriented. She loves her family and would do anything for them. When it comes to siblings and relatives she is extremely protective . She won't tolerate them being uncomfortable or someone making them uncomfortable. She's one to glare at you in the background until you change your attitude. Sometimes she has this way of talking that you know she's pissed even when she doesn't look it. She is very good with pups, even if she can be quite direct with them. She will answer their questions without hesitation but she'll do it in the mildest manner without scaring them. After all they must learn the true harshness of life somehow. She also doesn't appreciate anyone disciplining her child without her permission. They say: “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Well, this young female is no exception. Under her politeness and etiquette, exists a sarcastic and brazen side that she keeps under wraps. She doesn't like to be interrupted when she speaks, and if you do interrupt her then she’ll cut you off to politely yet icicly tell you your mistake. Like everyone she has a breaking point of how polite she can be, and then she will be frank and sarcastic with you. While politeness and being tasteful is her first language; being sarcastic and rude is her second one. She doesn't care if you berate or are rude to her she’ll just tell you off in the most venomous manner with the most dainty voice and a glimmer in her eyes. However, if you dare disrespect, make uncomfortable, or even look at her siblings in the wrong manner then she's going to have a major problem. She will use her icy mare stare on you that us quite unsettling when you see it, her eyes will be full of fury or so calm and icy it's unsettling. She will try her best not to yell at you unless you have done something EXTREMELY offensive. Now if her sibling is crying then she will go full-on big sister mode not caring who you are or how much trouble she gets into. Now if her sibling is roasting you then she’ll gladly join in. [credit for all go to Khalliysgraphy on da] Isolde stands in the 20 inch category for now, after all, she is only 6 months old. When she is fully grown, she is expected to be around 29 inches tall. As of now, her body is more lithe than muscular and perfect for running, but again, when she's older, she will have more muscle as she trains and begins to do her part in the pack. Her pelt colours are unique, with vibrant reds and both a tan and black back that makes her seem as if she's wearing a fluffy coat. Her legs are red and have shorter hair than her main body, adding on to that idea. Her ears are extremely red, perhaps redder than any other part of her body, excluding her muzzle. Isolde's back appears almost peppered, with a light colour being layered with a black one. The markings on the side of her face are white and go up in a manner that makes her seem as if she's smiling from a sideview. Additionally, her eyes are a light brown. Isolde's scent consists of pine needles and honey, and her voice is light and melodic.
Personality: Poised, confident, and hardheaded best describes Isolde. She is a peaceful individual that moves and speaks with elegance and manners. She has a deep fire within her that is evident with every action that she makes, and her voice is strong and demands to be listened to. It makes sense, her parents are the alphas after all. She must learn all of this from somewhere.
Isolde is fairly regal in how she acts, always speaking in monotone and never letting her emotions show unless trusted. She is careful with whom she becomes friends with, as she doesn't trust easily. She is also fairly picky when it comes to others. Anything that she dislikes about an individual will set her off, and Isolde will end up keeping her distance from them. She is selfless and loyal to those that are the same to her. The same goes for a respect. Isolde is a very determined female as well. She is determined to do good, to succeed, to become strong and powerful in body and mind. To put it plainly, she wishes to be known and to benefit the pack in some way. She isn't unwelcoming, though can be distant and icy at times, even if she doesn't wish to be. It's something that she knows she has to work on and doesn't realize she's doing until somebody tells her that she's staring with judgment or icing somebody out. In that way, Isolde can get distracted easily. She is very opinionated and voices her ideas to anybody that is listening, and if they don't, she tries to make them hear her. When she has strong ideas, will do anything to make herself be heard, and dislikes being ignored. While she is still young, she can be fairly cunning, and although she is fairly serious, there are times when she loosens up and does something one her age would do, such as play a game or spar. For the most part, she takes after her father, but there are factors from her mother's personality that she has observed and adapted as well.
