Please state what rank you would like in each of the packs. And I would prefer if you would do at least one male within the three please.

May I reserve a Strays Unite Guard? And, if the Eastern Medic is open (since they disappeared), may I reserve that spot as well?

Name:

Xola

Meaning “Stay In Peace”

Age:

6

Gender:

Female

Aroma:

Blackberries & Oranges

Pack:

Eastern

Rank:

Medic

Desired Rank:

Content

Species:
Wolf

Appearance:

Xola is an elegant and sleek wolf, although quite petite when compared to the adults within her pack. She stands at a mere 30 inches at the shoulder, if not a tad less. Her weight matches this theme, coming in at only 125 pounds. Due to her small stature, she is often mistaken for an apprentice – despite being as old as she is. Her build is a rather slim one, carrying little to no noticeable muscle mass. All of this, however, just adds to her elegance – allowing for her to be incredibly agile and swift. However, her strength is greatly sacrificed because of this. If a battle were to ensue, her only option would be to run.

~🍁~

The petite female’s fur is mostly a dark black in color, akin to that of a moonless night. However, its shade is not one of brewing turmoil or prowling evil, but of serenity and peace. A soft hue that gives the wolf a calming presence that most wish to surround themselves with. Cutting through this black is a lighter, brownish hue of the same color. It runs along all aspects of her form except her ears and face, giving her some contrast and energy to her serene night-black coat. Some gray hairs can be seen running about her face – mainly along her muzzle and forehead – making an arcing type pattern that curls down between her eyes before heading to the side of her mouth. All of this fur is somewhat short in length, not as long as other wolves but not short enough to make her look completely scrawny. Though, her fur can be a bit lacking during the winter months, causing her to seek out other wolves to share a den with in order to keep warm. The fluffiest parts of her pelt are her cheeks and tail, giving her a slightly plush looking appearance at times.

~🍁~
Much to her glee, very few scars cut through her fur (with a lot of the credit for this going to her own healing skills). There are no notable scars that one can pick out, but those they can see are mostly located along her shoulders. However, few pay much attention to the female’s scars, for they are often too focused on her face. In particular, her eyes. The night-black wolf has some of the most striking and unforgettable eyes. They are a bright honey-amber, soft and sweet while still solid and stern. Sort of like the eyes of a mother. Though, given the right light, they can look as hot and wild as fire. These eyes are not only in great contrast to her coat, but to her deep black nose – which oddly sticks out against her already black coat. Some say that the she-wolf once dipped her nose into the sky of a moonlit night (unlike the moonless stade of her pelt) and part of it stuck with her.

~🍁~

Xola’s voice matches well with her overall appearance, being as soft as silk and as sweet as honey. This makes her sound like a caring mother to most other wolves. A timid one at that with how quiet she always is. However, when tending to stubborn patients or rowdy pups, her voice can become quite stern and slightly louder than normal. Even when the offending wolf is much older than herself, she will take on this tone if they refuse to listen.

Personality:

Soft Spoken || Wise || Kind || Gentle || Pacifist || Humble || Mellow || Playful

“Life is too short to be wishing for war. And it will be even shorter if there is to be one.”

Xola is an incredibly soft spoken wolf. Her words are always hushed and smoothe, like the comforting voice of a mother or a soft lullaby. It may be hard to hear her at times with how quiet she can be, as though she were just a whisper of a promise being carried through the wind. But, do not expect her to raise her voice. She will not. Very rarely do harsh words come from her jaws. If they do, know that they are well intentioned and are in no way meant to degrade. Though, her tone will remain quiet during these interactions.

~🍁~

As is stereotypical of healers, the night-pelted wolf is quite wise in many aspects – and this wisdom has only increased over the years. It is not uncommon for the she-wolf to give helpful advice to her pack members, even if they don’t ask for it. And if they don’t listen to what she’s saying, she’ll leave before coming back another to reinforce the suggestion. She just hopes they’ll eventually listen before they learn the hard way. She also knows how to handle a decent amount of stressful situations – especially when it comes to conflicts between the packs or from within her own. Though, she will try her hardest not to get too involved in these disputes. She knows that she would not be able to handle herself if it came down to a fight.
~🍁~
If it was not already apparent, the honey eyed female has quite the gentle and kind soul. She cares deeply for all the wolves around her – even if they do not reciprocate these feelings. It does not matter if the wolf is a loner, pack member, or canine from the rival pack. She will show them nothing but kindness and try her best to help them in the most gentle way possible.

~🍁~
However, her kind and gentle nature comes at a cost. She is a pacifist – a dangerous trait to have in a world and time such as this. She refuses to harm other wolves under any circumstance. Even if her own life is being threatened, she will refuse to fight back. She would not be able to live with herself if she harms another – accident or no. After all, she is a healer. They are meant to make the sick, broken, and injured whole and healthy again. Harming or even killing a wolf would be going against the very thing is and what she is meant to do.

~🍁~
So, it is of no surprise that the she-wolf is considered to be quite humble. She cares more about others than her own self, always putting their health and safety first. This does not mean that she cares nothing about her own well being. She does! And she makes sure to take very good care of herself. I mean, without her the pack would be worse off than they are now. No one to heal the sick or care for the injured would spell disaster for the group – especially if a war is to truly start. She just doesn’t see herself as better or more important than those around her. However, if she had to choose between herself and another wolf, she would always choose the other wolf.

~🍁~
Despite often being worked to the bone, Xola is a rather playful wolf. Not in an energetic or mischievous manner (most of the time), but in a joking type of way. She enjoys a good prank or simple pun every once in a while. It lifts the spirits of others and keeps her motivated in her work. She genuinely cannot understand how some wolves must always be so serious. There’s times in which that is needed, sure, but there’s also times where a simple break or joke would be greatly beneficial. So, it is of no surprise that she’ll try and make small talk to those who are forced to visit her den in order to lift their spirits. Unless the situation is a matter of life and death, she’ll try and keep it as light hearted as possible.

Offspring:

Hymir – Xola absolutely adores her son. He is her entire world. She couldn’t be any more proud of the scout. Yet, somehow, he always finds a way to prove her wrong in this regard. The night-pelted tries to spend all the time with him that she can, but her duty as medic often pulls her away from any quality time they may have.

Open

Other:

- Xola is not particularly interested in having pups. She fears that caring for them will take time away from her job. However, now that she has an apprentice, she is less worried about this as he/she can simply take up some of the duties she cannot perform.

- The petite wolf despises those who flaunt their power or appearances. She finds it utterly disgusting for these canines to be so prideful. However, she is too weak and shy to say anything about this.

- Some of my favorite fruits have to be apples, raspberries, and bananas.

My favorite color? That is an incredibly hard choice ta make. I’m honestly one of those people who doesn’t exactly have a favorite color, but bases their like or dislike on the colors the first one is paired with. Example: I hate pink in most cases, but if a lighter shade of pink is mixed with a dark and rich brown, then I’ll love it. Though, if I had ta choose, my favorite colors would have ta be dark, rich blues, various hues of black, and royal purple.

Aoife has fur of amber red hues, which lights up like the autumn sun. Lighter creamier tones cover her cheeks, throat, belly, legs and lower hindquarters. Darker shades show more the closer to her back, where the top coat turns black over her withers and back of her neck. A small black streak runs down her tail and on the tip. Sparse black and gray cover her brow, darker at the center and down her snout to the onyx nose. A thinner undercoat helps show her lethal form, yet this is misleading to her surprisingly soft coat. Thicker patches of fur cover her belly and neck, also forming around her ears. Aoife’s tail is denser and fluffy, to which is often used as a pillow or to cover her eyes. Sturdy legs despite their slender form, with a body built for speed and stealth she is on the smaller side. Standing roughly 2.3 feet at the shoulder and only about 137 pounds, her paws are smaller but travel easily over the forest floor silently. Her coat and build suited perfectly for denser brush and crossing rivers easily. Her eyes are a striking orange, shining like amber in the sunlight. Both fierce and gentle in equal measure.

.
Personality:
wolf-walking-in-water-stock-by-wildberrypassion-d9zl2dp-pre.jpg

(Image credit belongs to @WildberryPassion on DA)

Aoife is a gentle mannered wolf, often doing as others tell her. While some may see her as a pushover, she just doesn’t want to get punished. Although if someone below her is trying to order her around she will often just walk away, or sometimes if she’s feeling moody Aoife will snap back. Standing up for herself when she deems it needed, otherwise she would rather just peacefully go about her job. Tracking prey and helping any hunters locate prey hiding in the underbrush. Turning timid around larger males that get aggressive, knowing she wouldn’t be able to put up much of a fight. However she won’t take abuse from anyone, snapping her jaws and pinning her ears in idle threat should a wolf try to push her around. Tolerant of most things most of the time, yet she does have a limit to her patience. Finding her temper when things get out of hand, glaring with a low growl she’d threaten the source of the annoyance. Despite her stature she knows how to intimidate any lower rank wolf, or warn a wolf of equal rank. Rarely standing up to a higher rank, yet will do so should she believe it to be the right thing. Coming to the defense of those weaker and who can’t stand up for themselves, young or old.

Known to be a cunning wolf she’d sooner talk her way out of problems, finding ways to avoid dangerous situations. Aoife is quick to spot danger from a distance and alert others of the risk, preventing her packmates from injury. She is known to ambush prey from the side, nipping at the feet as she chases it back towards the rest of the hunters. Often finding new or faster ways to trap or corner prey, having scouted areas ahead of time. She’s very good at seeing different ways to traverse any given area, spending hours traveling the land to learn the fastest paths to take. Only sharing this information to those she deems need to know, keeping it to herself otherwise. Also sometimes acting as a mediator to notify others of things she sees pack mates doing, trying to prevent conflict and strife. A few times having alerted the pack early to a potential problem with a wolf, resulting in a quick reprimand if deemed necessary. Aoife doesn’t like to be known as a high standing member, she’d rather just be known for her speed and scouting ability.

wolf-walking-sideways-2-stock-by-wildberrypassion-d9zkyox-pre.jpg

(Image credit belongs to @WildberryPassion on DA)

True to form Aoife was one of the first to act in a crisis situation, whether it be a packmate was injured or during the recent avalanche. Doing everything she could to help the pack survive the event, from risking her life to save pups or expectant mothers. Yet much of her efforts have been in vain, having watched a mother and her pups be buried by the heavy snow. Aoife is self conscious of stepping up to help anyone now, fearing that she would only cause further harm. Choosing instead to stand silently to the side, watching on with concern and worry. Only stepping up when asked to do so, not wanting to let anyone down. It makes her feel better to be depended on, for others to have confidence in her abilities. Despite her ability to traverse dense undergrowth, she finds it rather difficult to climb rough stone mountains and cliffs. This further enforces that even though she is an excellent tracker, Aoife is far from the most proficient hunter. Which makes her struggle to find her worth and importance to the pack, at times seeming to isolate herself in shame for not being able to do more for the pack. Yet she is one of the few who can keep up with and hunt rabbits with variable consistency.

For such a kind hearted wolf with a brave disposition, Aoife is absolutely terrified of thunderstorms. Having been last at night in a storm alone as a young pup, permanently scarred her. Even to this day getting very irritable with rain, not liking the way it makes her coat stick to her and the cold that comes with it. Another thing Aoife doesn’t do well with is when the temperature starts dropping with winter, preferring the higher temperature of spring and summer with her not having a thick undercoat. Yet she finds swimming to be her favorite activity, sometimes found napping on a stone with water soaking her underbelly. Strange for a wolf who dislikes the rain, but will sleep on the river. Although it is one of the activities where her endurance really shines, able to swim for hours. The same goes for tracking a herd of caribou for miles, or traveling miles to check the territory border without rest. She mostly does these jobs as a scout, only observing and reporting back to the pack. Afterall she is not the best for strength or skilled enough to fight off any intruders.

Willow is a larger female, standing 2.5 feet at the shoulder and weighing roughly 160 pounds. A creamy tan undercoat meets a darker red on her legs and a small face mask, with a darker overcoat of black that spreads over her hunches and back, covering her shoulders, neck, brow and down her tail. Dense and fluffy fur that is suited better for colder temperatures, yet thin enough that she can go through summer without being too hot. Strong legs and wide set paws speak of her strength hidden beneath her coat. Her eyes a pale mix of green and yellow, shinning in the light like summer jewels.
Personality:

A gentle natured female Willow keeps to herself most of the time, staying out of the power struggle. She tends to mind her own business except for those she cares for, standing beside them in silent support. A soft spot for younger wolves and pups, believing they need a gentle teacher over learning the hard way. Willow is a motherly wolf to any wolf younger to her, looking after injuries and the like when she can. Often offering advice to any younger wolf who just got reprimanded. She will stand her ground and bear her teeth to even the alpha to protect a pup in need, or the live of a yearling in need of help. She is a voice of reason in stressful times and often tries to keep everyone calm, doing her best to prevent infighting. Willow is quick to snap when someone is being a bully, or purposly picking on a smaller wolf. She words are as sharp as her teeth when she is mad, yet they can be warm like a summer breeze. Her mate had been killed by a rabid fox while on a hunt, and soon after her pups were stillborn. Willow spend a countless nights curled beside her buried pups, morning the loss of the small lives. Name:

Quilo

Age:

3 Years & 5 Months

Gender:

Male

Pack:

Strays Unite

Rank:

Guard

Desired Rank:

Content

Species:

Dog

Subspecies:

Siberian Husky-Norwegian Elkhound Mix

Appearance:

~❆~

Quilo is built like your stereotypically husky-like canine. He has a strong and deep chest, a straight back, oval shaped paws, tough and cushioned paws, and the like. All things found in a well structured, purebred husky. His legs and tail, however, do not take after his husky heritage. His legs are long and almost wolf-like (despite not having any wolf blood coursing through his veins, as far as anyone knows), yet thick and muscular like those of a norwegian elkhound. The shape of his tail, on the other hand, depends completely on his mood at the time. It will either be straight like that of a wolf’s or husky’s, or curled like an elkhound’s. Somehow, his face takes after neither side of his heritage, being a perfect blend of the two. His snout more closely resembles that of a husky while the fur of his cheeks is more like that of an elkhound. His height is closer to that of an average husky as well, standing around 24 inches at the shoulder. His weight however, is more in line with that of a norwegian elkhound – coming in at 51 pounds. He is all around bulky in form, having a decent amount of muscle coating his body. Especially around his legs. Though this muscle is a bit underdeveloped due to his younger age, and is likely to grow more prominent as time goes on. Overlapping these muscles is a large amount of impeccably thick fur, much like that found on a norwegian elkhound – forming a sort of “double coat.” This means that he has two layers of fur. The top layer is composed of long, coarse, and straight hairs which give him a fluffy and unassuming appearance. His second layer of fur is dense, almost “wooly,” and incredibly soft – designed for keeping in a large amount of heat. The density of this fur takes a while to change, or to shed in particular. It is not surprising to find the male wearing a rather heavy coat of fur well into April. Thankfully, it does become quite thin when it does finally shed.

~❆~

The guard’s coat is a pure mix between both breeds in his bloodline – forming a pattern akin to that of an elkhound with the black and white shades of a husky. Black fur congregates around his back like a blanket, starting around his shoulders and extending to the base of his tail. This black, while quite prominent, is not entirely pure – having small patches of white littered throughout its domain. The only pure section of black is found around and at the base of his ears where nothing dares to threaten its authority. However, all of these black areas do fade out with time – particularly when going down his sides, lower tail, and neck. On his sides, a light brownish-gray hue mixes into that faded black, but does not entirely take it over. A dirty white takes up the rest of the coloration along his sides as well as the portions of fur along his neck where the black does not reside. The white of his face and legs is as pure and bright as freshly fallen snow when clean. This white is quite easy to get this white dirty – moreso along his legs than his face – so its true beauty is rarely seen. Not that he minds, though. He’s not one for cleanliness. The black of his nose contrasts the white of his face quite well, making both features pop. His eyes are a shade of icy blue commonly seen in huskies. They always carry an odd sort of piercing nature. One that is not particularly harsh but not soft all the same.

~❆~

The husky mutt has, thankfully, not received many scars during his time within his pack. Most of the injuries he has received have been mild and easy to heal off – typically leaving no evidence to their previous existence. As to date, only a select few injuries have cut deep enough to leave a lasting mark in their wake. One such scar runs slanted across his right eye, coming down from his forehead and stopping a smidge after the eye. The origins of this scar are unknown, but it has been around for some time. Another scar cuts along his snout, forming three, small claw-like marks where fur will never again grow. He claims that this scar came from a badger, but no one is for certain. The rest are hardly noticeable thanks to his thick fur.

~❆~

Quilo’s voice is nothing short of bombastic and loud, matching well with his personality. There is no such thing as an “inside voice” for this canine – his words always coming out as a yell, even at a close distance with the one he is conversing with. His whisper is no better either, as his quietest tone is what most would consider one’s everyday volume. To make his voice even more ear piercing, he has a rather high pitched tone for a male. Though, it does still carry some masculine aspects to it. His tone shifts between energetic and friendly, and flirty depending on who he is conversing with. Generally, he always uses the energetic and friendly tone – reserving the flirtatious ones for the females he finds stunning. His words carry no noticeable accent.

Personality:

“Never back down! Never surrender!”

“Hello there, beautiful ladies~”

~❆~

Energy. Quilo is packed full of nothing but pure, raw, unbridled energy. It is not like the limitless energy of pups or apprentices, thank goodness, but it does come close. He is not impossible to wear out. Just give him a few, high energy tasks and you’ll knock him out cold by the end of the day. Though, he is still incredibly active. He’s often found prancing around camp when he’s got nothing to do, or when he’s waiting on other dogs to commence a task. It is incredibly rare for anyone to find this male sitting still unless he is being ordered to. Even then, he has to have some sort of movement going on. Whether that be the constant shuffling of his feet or the steady beat of his wagging tail. Anything to that prevents him from pausing. This large quantity of energy pairs well with his friendly demeanor, will and outright looking for any chance to interact with other canines. This can cause him to seem both approachable and intimidating (depending on who is on the receiving end) as he can come on quite strong. It is not uncommon to see him bounding up to someone just to offer them a greeting, a paw in friendship, and possibly some sort of aid.

This diary white male is loyal to a huge fault. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been friends for years or even a couple of seconds, he will be as devout as any other true friend. Though, his loyalty can be overbearing at times – especially to his new acquaintances. He is absolutely willing to put himself between his new-found friend and an angry grizzly bear, and die in the process just to keep them safe… the same day they meet. Yeah, he can be quite the reckless dog. There is just one downside to his loyalty: he doesn’t see proper trust as a necessary component to grant someone his undying loyalty. As long as the canine is kind, friendly, and respectful, he will extend his friendship and – along with it – his loyalty. It will take a lot to break his loyalty as well. The only thing that can is indisputable and logical evidence.

So, it is of no surprise that the husky-esk male is viewed as innocent and naive. He believes all dogs, foxes, and wolves to be kind and benevolent beings that wish him no harm. That they do not desire to use his skills for their own selfish gain. That they won’t kick him to the curb the moment they grow tired of him. They would not lie for their own amusement, knowing that he believes all that he’s told without questioning – unless it contradicts something he was already told, of course. Sadly, this sort of mindset as well as his faulty loyalty leaves him open for easy manipulation. And it will be difficult to drag him away from it.

On the other paw, many view the poor male as just all around “stupid.” His willingness to believe anything and lack of questioning regarding the character of another just goes to show that he has no mind of his own. No sort of brain power, whatsoever. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Sure, he may be horrible at determining who is good and who is out to get him, but that doesn’t make him stupid. In fact, he can be quite knowledgeable in other aspects in life – such as his skills in battle. He knows the ins and outs of fighting, having studied and replicated many types of moves formulating from many different creatures, as well as the weak points of numerous different species. He’s also relatively good at recognizing animal calls as well – knowing the difference between a cardinal, a warbler, and a blue jay pretty well.

Quilo holds a lot of pride in his aforementioned skills, and is completely willing to flaunt them. He is the best, after all. Very few would ever be able to top him. Surely! Except for the alpha… and some of his fellow warriors… and various wolves, but you get the point! He has an incredibly high opinion of himself, believing that he can do everything and anything that is physically possible. (He will not fall for the lie that dogs can breathe underwater ever again!). However, his pride is quite fragile. If one were to tell him that he failed at something, he would be utterly crushed – having no energy or drive to do anything for multiple days on end. After all, what is the point of trying if he will just fail? Thus, it is best to say he did well, then correct or provide advice on what he may have done wrong. Or, provide him comfort and advice when he is in his “depressed state.” Really just depends on the kind of canine you want him to become.

Boy oh boy, is this youngster a ladies dog! He adores showing off to the beautiful females of his pack. Or, honestly, just females in general. Sly remarks, a proper display of his strength, prancing about, tail held high. Yeah, he does it all. Anything to impress the ladies. He will absolutely break down if one reciprocates the action though. (“I didn’t think I’d get this far, honestly-”) Why, you may ask? Well, that’s simple! He makes a fool of himself every time. Not just by being unable to respond to a flirtatious female, but because he’s clumsy. Clumsy to the point that the move he was trying to show off – that he’s practiced ten times over – just became a face plant that he refuses to get up from. He can already hear them laughing. If one wishes for him to continue his little display, give him some encouragement. Otherwise, he will walk off with his tail tucked between his legs.

This good boy really wants a family. He doesn’t care if it’s simply him being “adopted” and considered someone’s son or brother – he just wants a group that he can call home. Sure, his pack does provide this to some extent, but he doesn’t really see them as a tightly knit family. They’re just a group of dogs attempting to survive the unforgiving wild. Nothing more, nothing less. More than anything, though, he wishes to start a family with a female he holds dear. He wants pups that he can love, protect, and care for. Little ones that he can tell stories to, and train to become awesome guards just like he.

Other:

- Quilo, as mentioned before, is quite strong, but he lacks agility. He can easily be outmaneuvered, and is often so focused on chasing down his target that he can easily be led into a trap or dangerous area.

- Quilo wishes to name his first born son Jasper and his first born daughter Aspen, but does not care if these names are not used. He will love them no matter what.

- It has often been pondered on whether or not the dirty white male has any wolf blood in his ancestry. However, as far as anyone knows, he has no such lineage.

- This fluffy boy has the worst observation skills known to history. A bright, red cardinal feather could be sitting directly in front of him with no other things of a similar shade around, and he would not notice it.

- Don’t call the boy stupid. He won’t be able to take it. It’ll break his heart.

Aside from my favorite colors in general, I love the following color schemes/combos: autumn colors (especially the orange). Purple, white, black, and goldish-yellow (or just gold). Light blues mixed with darker shades of blue for contrast and a hint of yellow/gold. Cherry blossom pink with a dark and rich brown. And various shades of brown (both really dark and light-almost tan in complexion) with splotches of white.
