Table of Contents Post One - Table of Contents & Plot Post Two - Rules Post Three - Extra Info for Neurodiversity, Basic Post Four - Base Information for Supernatural Post Five - Roles Post Six - Sign Up Form Post Seven - Threads and Links + Disclaimer ⬥ Plot "There’s this town, and it seems normal at first. The kids all live in nice homes with families that seem real enough. There are neighbors, teachers, shopkeepers, everything you’d expect in a small town. But none of it is real. The parents aren’t their parents, the neighbors aren’t really neighbors, and the whole town is fake. Everyone except the kids works for this big corporation that’s running an experiment. It started years ago, back when the corporation wanted to study neurodivergence. They created it by giving pills or shots to certain people, changing their minds and bodies over time. Then they took those people’s kids, raised them in this controlled town, and watched what happened. They wanted to see how neurodivergence affected the kids, how they’d grow up, and how they’d handle life when everything around them was so carefully managed. The kids don’t know the truth. They think this is just their life. But as they get older, they start noticing things. Weird clues pop up—conversations that don’t make sense, things that feel off. Over time, they start putting it together, figuring out that the whole town is a lie. The corporation is always watching, always testing, but the kids are smart. Once they start pulling at the threads, the whole thing might fall apart." Edited at November 18, 2024 12:35 PM by Salem

Rules 1. Follow all of Eve's already made rules. You should already know them but if you don't click this link and scroll down to find the roleplay rules for the site: Click! 2. You're limited to one character. This may change later on but it's unlikely. Please don't try to reserve two. NPCs not included. 3. You will have to reserve your own spot, you shouldn't be asking for other people. Admittedly I'm bad at keeping track of reservation end dates, so you'll be marked on the list for more time than you probably have. Reservations will last 48 hours with no extensions unless you're almost done, players can request to take your reservation slot if the time limit is up. 4. This roleplay is welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community, if you have a problem with that I'll fight you (kidding, I'll get a mod if you make a fuss out of it). Neurodivergent are and I quote; "significantly more likely to identify as LGBTQ+". 5. I am the host. If you have a certain idea that will cause some chaos, please run it by me first <3 I'll probably find a way to have it happen in a way that fits the plot. NPCs will be played by me if they're important (ex. The doctor) but otherwise can be played by you. 6. There is no limit for writing skills, but I would like semi-literate or above. No shame in small replies so long as there's something your fellow rp partners can do with it. No word limit, I mean. You're not expected to post quickly, just whenever it's your turn. You're expected to be active in the discussion though, just so we know you're with us still. 7. If you would like to leave, the slot will open up again but if you want to rejoin, feel free to PM me! I have a few fun ideas for how to get lost characters back in and so on. If you decide to leave the RP, you can have your character killed off or to simply go to an outside area but either way the spot will be open again here. 8. Please mark your characters as a WIP. Please PM me when they're done. I will not accept or decline a character if they're still marked as a WIP. If you need help in some area, pm me but please don't constantly ask the same questions over and over again. 9. Have fun! Put one of these three words under the "Other" section so I know you've read the rules. Perch, Identity, Stimming. Bonus points for using all three lmao

Basic Neurodiversity Information Neurodiversity is about the different ways people's brains can work. It’s the idea that everyone’s brain processes the world in unique ways. Some people may think, act, or feel differently because their brain works a little differently. That’s okay. These differences are part of what makes each person who they are. People with neurodivergence might have different strengths and challenges compared to those who are considered neurotypical. Some examples of neurodivergent conditions include autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more. Autism affects how someone interacts with others and the world. People with autism might find it harder to understand social cues, and they might like routines or have special interests that they focus on. ADHD is all about focus, organization, and controlling impulses. Someone with ADHD might get distracted easily or have trouble sitting still. Dyslexia makes reading and writing harder, but it doesn’t affect intelligence. People with dyslexia might mix up letters or have trouble reading aloud. Dyspraxia is a condition that affects coordination and motor skills. It might make simple tasks like writing or walking feel difficult. Dyscalculia makes math hard to understand, even though people with it can be good at other things. Tic disorders, like Tourette’s, cause involuntary movements or sounds that can’t be controlled. Sensory Processing Disorder means that someone might be too sensitive or not sensitive enough to things like lights, sounds, or touch. This list is just a few examples of neurodivergence. There are many other conditions and experiences that fit into this category, like OCD, anxiety, or other learning differences. Everyone’s experience is different, and that's important to remember. Just because someone has a certain condition doesn’t mean they’re the same as everyone else with that condition. It’s also important to note that if someone says they have a neurodivergent condition, that’s their truth. It’s not okay to make up or change terms about what someone experiences. If you’re not sure what something means, just ask. Don’t make assumptions. Every person’s experience with neurodivergence is their own, so always listen to how they want to be understood. Optional Supernatural Base Info Supernatural signs will be with you your whole life. For example, if you're a siren, you’ll find yourself drawn to water and have a love for swimming, even if you don’t understand why. These signs will be there, guiding you toward discovering your true supernatural form and abilities. But at the ages of 16 and older, you’ll actually start to develop your supernatural traits and abilities. That’s when you’ll discover your actual abilities and how they work. However, your neurodiversity might not always mix well with your supernatural type, and if you want a challenge, that’s something you can explore. For example, your neurodivergent traits could make it harder for you to control your supernatural abilities or make it more difficult to balance both sides of yourself. If you want to take on that challenge, you can. It’s all about how you want your character to develop and how your neurodiversity and supernatural traits interact. It’s also important to remember that being a supernatural is totally optional. You don’t have to be one if you don’t want to. You can choose to just be human, and that’s completely fine. But if you’re interested in exploring the supernatural side of things, you can choose to be a supernatural. Characters can only be 16+ for this roleplay. Anything below 16 will be declined. ! Disclaimer ! This roleplay is designed to provide a space for people to learn about neurodivergence and explore it in an open, accepting way through their characters. It’s meant to be a fun and inclusive environment where participants can engage with neurodivergent traits thoughtfully and respectfully. Please note that the way neurodiversity is portrayed in the RP, particularly how it begins, is not an accurate representation of its real-world origins. It is purely for the sake of the plot and is not intended to be entirely realistic.
