{|: Kynora :|} Kynora shook her head as she stopped to stand in front of the wolf, her eyes narrowing. "I hope you know I very well could leave you for dead, but I'm not a stubborn, loathsome pup who's got a chip on his shoulder.. Unlike you, I actually have some decency.” She snarled as she sat back on her haunches, her tail curling around her back legs. ”Can I at least know your name?” She asked with a soft and gentle voice, a stark contrast to her previous outburst. A part of her felt bad, knowing some wolves refused to accept help when they desperately needed it, and only accepted help when they were close to death, it made Kynora deeply upset. She let out a whine of pity, her ears flicking due to the wind. “I think it’s best if you follow me if you’d rather live than laying here, waiting to die.” Kynora said, standing to shake off the snow from her white and silver pelt, and made a move towards the treeline, sniffing around to catch scent of any type of prey item. The female sat, her eyes following the dark silhouette, watching to see if the stubborn male would follow her. A part of her wished the male would follow her, as it wouldn’t sit right with her conscious if she had left a wolf to die. Her parents wouldn’t approve, knowing she didn’t do all that she could in order to try and help the male. Even if the two were strangers, Kynora had been taught from a young age to try and help all she knew how to when a creature was suffering. And leaving this wolf for dead was not an option, even if she had to stay and help this wolf despite being told ‘no’. “Please follow me..” She whispered, her ears pinned to her skull in sadness, knowing her voice would get lost in the wind. |

Kodiak Kodiak turned his head, making a show of ignoring the female. Her pleas were heard, but ignored as his stubborness took over. He didn't need any help, especially from a young, small, female wolf. He would be able to make his way back to the pack and get help from a wolf he trusted more. He heard her moving, but when he turned his head she was lost in the snow. He heard her soft voice travel on the oncoming wind though, light as a snowflake. She was asking his name. He normally wouldn't give anyone his name, no matter what it was or why. Though with this female he felt something, something he hadn't felt with any other wolves. He ignored the feleing though, reminding himself that she was just another wolf, and that he probably wouldn't ever see her again after this encoungter. He did though, tell her, with much grudging. "Kodiak" He muttered, no knowing if she heard him or not. He turned his head to see a faint outline of her silver and white form. He heard her soft plea, to follow her. He ignored her for a moment, but a sudden stab of pain from his wound and the snow changed his mind. He slowly stood up and looked to where he knew she was. Slowly and sort of ashamed for needing help form a strange wolf, he walked toward her. |

{|: Kynora :|} Kynora yelped in surprise to hear the name of the wolf she had grown attached to within just a few minutes. "Kodiak.." His name rolled off her tongue, and she enjoyed it. She enjoyed the feeling his name made her feel, something she never even knew existed. Kynora quickly ran to Kodiak’s side, rested gently against his side, giving him the opportunity to lean his weight against her. “Let’s go find somewhere for you to rest..” She said before she paused, lowering her head in shame.”I apologize for my outburst.” She said in a gentle voice, taking a few small steps forward, trying to stay at a slow pace in order to not disturb the wound. Kynora turned her head, resting it gently against his chest to better help stabilize the male. The female raised her head for a second, looking around through the thick snow to try and find a cave for the two of them to hide out for the night. Kynora rose her head towards the sky, taking note of the sun moving to set. “Only a matter of hours before it gets dark.. Let's find you a cave to rest in and I’ll try and find some food for the both of us.” She mentioned, as she began taking another few steps forward, being mindful of hidden rocks, stumps, or even hidden thorn bushes. ”Are you alone or are you with a pack?” Kynora asked, trying to fill the void of silence. It’s something that didn’t sit right with her, the silence. Growing up, surrounded by so many wolves, and now that she’s older, having her niece and nephews around means there are never moments of silence, even in the dead of night. Kynora took another few steps, eager now more than ever to find some shelter as she felt the cold, crisp wind nip at her flank - and if she was cold, she could only assume that Kodiak was even colder. |

Kodiak Kodiak was surprised when the female ran back to him. He tried to walk a little bit away but she went up against his wounded side. He didn't quite know what to do in a situation like this, and decided just to go along with it. He leaned up against her a little big and felt the pressure on his side and the pain of it decrease a little bit. He walked with her for a bit before she did something he wasn't expecting, she apologized. He had never heard any of his pack mates apologies to each other like she did to him. They always still had that grudge in the back of their mind. Much less had anyone apologized to him. He was surprised for a moment, and that kept him quiet from asking any other questions. They walked for a while, Kynora talking about needing to find a place to rest for a while. Suddenly up again he could see a dark shape, maybe a big hill or a small mountain, he couldn't tell which. A darker spot in the side of it made it seem like there was a cave. He started to walk faster, letting up the pressure on Kynora and turning his pace into a trot. As he neared it he could see more of what was indeed a cave. It was dark but looked like it went not a far way pack. It was dry and overhanging, keeping the ground dry from snow that had melted. He sniffed at the entrance making sure it was safe before looking to Kynora as an unspoken question. |

{|: Kynora :|} The she wolf quickly went into the cave to give it a thorough look before she nodded, gently pushing Kodiak into the cave to lay down. “You go get comfy, I’ll be back with some prey.” She said with a smile before sprinting off into the night to find some small game to hunt. Her mind was set on some hares that hadn’t yet gone into their burrows for the night, but she never knew what she’d find. Kynora began walking and sniffing, it was a pattern, until she caught the scent of some hares, and began sprinting in their direction. She quickly stumbled upon the hares and lowered herself to the ground, and began moving forward - using her pelt color and small size to her advantage. Kynora took one hare by surprise, and lightly covered that carcass within the snow, before stalking forward towards the second hare. She lightly snarled under her breath before pouncing forward, having to chase after the hare for a few seconds until she caught it, the carcass loosely hanging in her jaws. Kynora trotted back to the first hare she caught, unburied the body, and picked up that one as well, carrying the two in her jaws back to the cave. This gave her a moment to clear her head, which made her furrow her brow. She felt so drawn to this wolf and it had only been a few hours they had been together. Kynora shook her head, clearly her thoughts as she made her way back to the cave, slowly her pace before dropping the plumper hare carcass in front of Kodiak. She stood, debating for a minute before she finally decided to lay next to the male, curling into his side before taking a small bite from her own hare. “You’ll get too cold if I leave you alone, and then your wound will never heal.” Kynora said with pause, turning to look at the male. “You need to take it easy the next few days, a week at the most.” She explained, glancing at the wound with a wince when she noticed just how bad it was up close. Her tail curled around her flank, trying to keep herself warm as she continued to eat the hare carcass that sat in front of her. |

(Sorry it took so long for my to reply, I had a lot of stuff going on lately) Kodiak Kodiak walked a bit shakily into the den, with the help of Kynora. He lay down closer to the back and watched the female. She told him that she would go out to hunt and he nodded. After she left he thought about all that had happened. Something was different about this wolf, he could feel it. Normally he wouldn't expect help form anyone, especially a wolf he didn't even know. But he could feel that this was a different situation, and so went with it. The air was getting chillier, his fur tossed and danced in the wind. The flakes of white snow started to melt on his warm pelt and he closed his eyes for a moment. It was peaceful, and he hadn't gotten to sleep since he set off to hunt. But before he got too drowsy Kynora got back with food. She lay one hare in front of him and he wolfed it down. He hadn't eaten much either, and was thankful for the meal. Kynora lay down next to him, and he gently lay his head down on her soft fur. He didn't even realize he had done it for a few seconds but when he did he shot his head up. He didn't meant to intrude in Kynora's personal space, or get to used to her. Trying not to get her to think about it too hard he asked a few questions. "Kynora, where are you from? Why where you out there and why did you help me?" He asked, not really expecting answers but listening all the same. |

(( Sorry it's taken so long, I have finals next week, so I've been studying all week long .-. )) {|: Kynora :|} The female jumped slightly when she felt the male rest his head against her, but it wasn't a bad feeling - in fact, Kynora actually enjoyed it. The female curled towards Kodiak, inviting in his warmth. It was something different, something she enjoyed. The heat the male put off wasn't an offensive heat, no it was actually quite the opposite - it was inviting and comforting. Kynora thought for a moment, humming before answering the male, resting her head atop his paws, close to his chest. "My pack and I live down in the valley, and my parents sent me out to start gathering for the winter..." Kynora paused to huff a breath before continuing." I was tracking a hare and it just kept going higher and higher, and I couldn't just let it go.. But it ran into a burrow and then I got turned around.. I started tracking a deer, found you, and here we are." The she wolf explained, her tail curling to intertwine with the males. Kynora felt so drawn to this wolf and she barely knew him! It was nice talking and spending her time with someone who wasn't from her pack, nice to get away from pack - especially from her parents. Her ears perked for a moment before turning her attention to Kodiak."What about you, Kodiak? Where are you from?" She asked her tail gently tapping against the somewhat cold stone floor. She was curious about this male, whether that be her natural curiosity or not - she wanted to know more about Kodiak. Kynora was concerned she'd grow too attached to the male, and then never want to leave his side. |
