Hmm. Well either one is fine by me. Kanu doesn't care either as long as he doesn't actually have to move. XD))
Kanu did not know these assassins or their reasons for what they were doing. Regardless, this was a horrible attempt at assassination if that's what they were trying to do. The arrows were horribly sent and annoyed Kanu if anything. He merely sidestepped one with a rather bored appearance. Even releasing a wide yawn as he avoided two more arrows. The assassins in hell were way better. Kanu did a better job than these people did. He loved his job to be entirely honest. It gave him a rush of adrenaline and being hunted was even better. These assassins made him bored. Which was very sad. |

The arrows slowed down as Sloane glared into the darkness. The pathetic mortals continued screaming, though, and Sloane half wanted to tell the so-called assassins to go ham. She didn't, though, which showed a large amount of restraint. Sloane mentally applauded herself. Once the annoying ones were finally called, Sloane waited. A figure soon emerged - a young man carrying a sheet of paper. His voice was trembling, "Great immortals - please do not kill us! Not until we send our message." |

Kanu was quite annoyed by the end of it all. All the screaming was absolutely dreadful. It hurt Kanu's sensitive ears to hear all those mortals screaming. At the same time, it made the demon inside of him pretty happy. Not that Kanu would ever tell anyone that the dark part of him even existed, no one needed to know that. He hadn't made a move to help or hurt the attackers, he'd eventually figured out that this wasn't a real assassination attempt. Not that he particularly would have cared if it had been. Kanu would've been able to cover himself in his practically invulnerable scales if he had really felt like he was in any danger. When the man appeared, Kanu's purple eyes narrowed in on him. He took in the young man and figured that he was pretty much a bunny in harmful scale. He could barely do anything. For the first time Kanu opened his mouth. "You have some guts thinking that after all of that mess we'd even give you a chance to speak. Fortunately for you I am pretty curious, so spit it out already." Kanu brought up his hand and scratched his cheek scales, making sure that the purple shadows lurking under his skin were on full display for the mortals to see. A clear warning. |

The young man was obviously very nervous, but stood up firm, "Our intent was not to cause real harm - only to find you alone," Sloane raised an eyebrow, "And! We apologize for almost hitting you with the arrow, Miss...?" He waited for a name, but Sloane did not give him one, only scoffing. She would not have been hit by a pathetic bowman. When the man realized he wasn't going to get an answer, he moved on, "Shoter is an awful ruler. He will lead the Earth into ruin, and wants to overtake both of your kingdoms. He is power hungry and cruel. We are apart of the rebellion - for the Queen Syndia! She promises to leave your people in peace, and not call for forcible marriages to create ties between the people. She says that Shoter will turn around and betray whoever he creates an alliance with, and that it will condemn many innocents to an early death. Queen Syndia wants to prevent this!" |

Kanu was obviously bored by the whole 'Shoter is going to take over Earth and kill all the humans' portion of the conversation. In all honesty, Kanu could not care any less about the humans than he already did. Humans lived and then they died, they were there and gone in the blink of an eye. Kanu cared not for the pathetic mortals. Taking over his people's land was another story though. He highly doubted humans would ever be able to survive the harsh conditions in hell but any threat against his home made his blood boil. The shadows in his veins raced before he let out a loose laugh. Kanu was just an idiot in all ways shapes and forms. "First off, it's funny how you mortals think you could survive even a moment in my home, let alone long enough to 'take over.' I do enjoy the idea of a civil war though, between you little humans of course. And we are immortals, not idiots. Did you really think any living immortal would trust Shoter? Especially when he acts like he constantly has a stick up his ass." Kanu shrugged, he really wished he could get drunk right about then. There were to many problems and he didn't feel like dealing with them |

While Kanu laughed it off, Sloane stayed silent, thinking deeply about the situation. While Kanu's home was safe, hers did not have the same protection. There were also secret ways hidden on Earth to reach the Sky for every creature save its inhabitants. And while it was unlikely they'd find it, it was still a possibility. There was also the threat of war. While they were immortal, they could still die in battle. Even though Kanu didn't think so, the mortals were powerful. They had all forms of magic, and could definitely do damage. Then, there was also the pleasurable idea of being able to kill Shoter, and not have to worry about the whole Marriage thing, "So what you are saying is, I'd kill some royals, wouldn't have to worry about any future forced marriages, AND you wouldn't bother me anymore? Plus there's the fact that it sounds like I wouldn't have to insure the girl would be Queen either - It would be her problem." The man seemed taken back, but slowly nodded, "Sweet. I'll do it." Sloane shrugged. If anyone from her home opposed she'd challenge them to a fair duel and take care of it. |

Kanu wasn't too worried about the human threat, if that wasn't obvious enough by his nonchalant attitude. Despite that, Kanu knew that his parents, particularly his mother, would be worried. It was a well known fact that dragons were often taken in their dragon forms and weakened to the point where they were broken in and ridden like a horse by humans. It was a sad, sad thing to see a broken dragon. Especially since more than half of the living dragons were actually shifters who were weakened too much and couldn't shift back. Humans had a special talent for creating chaos among Kanu's brethren and he knew that Shoter was most likely one of those humans. So instead of going with his demon side, he went with his dragon side. After all, Kanu lived on the ledge of two raging worlds, and often times the side his father had given him was irrational and power hungry. So he went with his mother's more cautious blood. "I will help as well, as it's probably the smart thing to do or something." Kanu shrugged, acting stupid was his specialty, he wasn't as stupid or full of himself as he seemed to be. It was all an act to convince people that he wasn't smart enough to control his powers and things like that. Being an eternal assassin came with perks. |

Sloane narrowed her eyes at Kanu, but said nothing to him, "Leave," she ordered the group of human, "If you must contact us, let it only be in emergencies, and not in this foolish and idiotic manner." "How-" "That's up time you to figure out. It is your group who wanted our help." Sloane's cold words silenced the group, and they soon left. |

Kanu nodded at the humans and waved them off. Turning towards Sloane with a wide grin. "Guess we're both in the same boat now huh? We're traitors." His grin was mischievous and he looked absolutely stupid. |

Sloane huffed, and crossed her arms, "Perhaps." She didn't trust him. His train of thought was so different from hers, it was hard to figure out if he meant the things he said, or if it was something else entirely. Either way, the answer was concerning. |
