"Listen, Nightmare is the type of raptor who needs space when she is sad. So when she says she needs space it doesn't mean she hates you. She literally just needs a space to think. Everything is going to be okay,"

"What a great way to start the first day we are all in the same pen," Zier joked and I laughed. I nuzzled him and he nuzzled back,

"I'm actually getting hungry," I joked "I haven't eaten yet,"

"I can get leave the pen and get you some food if you want, but I would have to leave your side." He said with a sympathetic look.

"That would be great," I said with a smile. He stood up and nuzzled me one more time before jogging over to the gate. The device on his neck opened the gate and get sprinted out. I just watched the rain fall, waiting for Forest to get back. I didn't expect her to want space but if I don't get space to calm down I become aggressive.

I paused a bit to listen to Azul. "I know, but its just im the one who has to leave her alone when Zier gets to confort her. I know im probably acting jealous but shes my only friend and i want to confort her and be with her." Azul then nuzzled me and said, "Well you have another friend and i wont ever leave you. If she needs space one time ill be here." I nuzzled him back before saying, "Thank you Azul. Do you think she would want us back?" Azul laughed and said, "Theres only one way to find out." I smiled before dashing through the storm to the cave at which i slowed down. I peeked my head into the cave and looked around for Zier. "Wait...Wheres Zier?" I asked confused. "Oh- and are you done needing space Nightmare? Its fine though, i can go back to Azul."

"I'm good for now, he just left through the back gait to bring me back some food to cheer me up," I said with a small smile, "The privileges of having a Military Raptor mate, they can go wherever, whenever," I said joking with a small laugh. I sifted so I was laying on my side with my head still up.

The joy i felt as she said she was fine and that Zier had left for a while. I cant even explain how happy i felt. I then walked into the cave and up to Nightmare. "Could we snuggle for a bit before Zier comes back? Like we did before?" I gave her my best puppy eyes, hoping she would say yes but at the same time i had a smile on my face.

I was hesitant, "Yeah that's fine," I said with a faint smile. "I'm just emotionally drained so it takes me a bit to think and process things right now." I said calmy "I might take a nap before he gets back because I don't know how long it will take.

"i understand," i said as i layed beside Nightmare. "We can talk about it if you want, or we can just sleep or snuggle. Its up to you. And i wanted to apologize for not being a good friend lately." I then put my head on her back, snuggling her. I saw Azul peek his head in but just ignored him but he understood and probably went back to the tree because he left with a smile.

"I would like to snuggle and sleep," I said as I watched Azul walk away and I tilted my head, "Where is he going, did he not say anything about sticking by your side in his vow?" I said worriedly, that was one of the main things I looked for when I was choosing.

"Thats fine and uhhh he said he would," I paused thinking for a moment before repeating all he had said. "He said that, he will protect me and my eggs, help me when i need help and love me forever. But dont worry, hes just letting me be alone for a while. I want it to be like when we first met for just a couple minutes. He knows this and respects me." I then closed my eyes before saying, " Now lets rest. We both need it."

A look of disgust appeared on my face "He is still technically breaking his vow because he is leaving without saying a word," I said laying my head on her back. "I will let it slide but I will talk to him when I wake," I quickly fell asleep.

I rolled my eyes with a smile as Nightmare acted like a protective mom before she layed her head on my back and fell asleep. I half way wished i could do that to her but Zier was way to perfect for that. I then yawned a content yawn and fell alseep.
