When he was met with silence, he finally looked up at Theo, he wished he could comfort the man but he didn't know how to, he had never been great at comforting others, situations like this always made him feel awkward. Now more than ever given the circumstances, him being a cop and everything.
Suddenly he heard Alleya’s voice and he quickly looked over at her but the second she saw Theo she seemed to pretty much forget about him. He sat in silence, his blue gaze on the two in front of him, watching as Alleya hugged the man. That hug seemed to give the leader more comfort than anything Niké had said.
‘Sometimes all people need is a hug,’ it was something his mother had said sometimes when he was younger. Niké never got that though, he didn't see how it was supposed to make others feel better but he couldn't say that it was wrong, not when he saw it right in front himself. It was probably better that Alleya was the one hugging him and not Niké, since he didn't know how the leader would react to another man hugging him.
"You two better set off."
In just a few seconds, Theo composed himself and went back to the cold person he'd met that first time at the bar. Niké didn't say anything though, he just got up, waiting for Alleya to do the same. He then waited for her to leave the room first before looking down at the leader. For a second he considered giving the man a light pat on the shoulder but seeing as he'd gone back to being more reserved, he chose against it.
“I won't say anything to anyone, not even her,” the man nodded slightly towards the door to show that he meant Alleya who'd just left the room, “If you want to talk then uh, you know, just say so, I’ll listen…”
Niké fell silent for a moment, memories from his past making their way into his head, he shook his head slightly before continuing, “Yeah… I won't judge you, I can almost promise you that I've done something equally as bad if not worse.”
He sighed softly as he casted a last glance at Theo before he left the room before Alleya had time to call for him to hurry up.

Theo had never told anybody about Flynn, or what had happened. When he returned to the gang, he simply said that she died. He hadn't wanted to be leader or be in charge but they wanted him to for some reason. They were convinced he would be a good gang leader such as Flynn and keep her legacy alive. He wasn't sure how he could do that when he couldn't even say her name. Of course, he hid that emotion and had gone back to the Theo that Nike was used to seeing. Well Nike hadn't been there long but it sure didn't take more than a second to realize that he was withdrawn and kept every emotion to himself. He remained sitting on the bed, not looking at the two. He thought he was alone but he only heard one set of footsteps leave so he didn't let his guard down yet. And he was glad he didn't. As soon as the footsteps were gone, he heard Nike's voice and knew the man was still here. So it was Alleya that left and he didn't. That surprised him a bit, Nike didn't seem like the type to stay behind after given an order. Granted, that was a light order and considered more of a suggestion but still. "I won't say anything to anyone, not even her. " He looked at Nike who seemed to be talking about Alleya. He better not tell a single soul. The last thing he needed was his gang spreading rumors about him. Rumors tended to divide a gang and at this time, they needed unity. He bit back a response to that and instead just listened. That's all he did. Listened. He didn't react but his own eyes remained locked on the man, one cloudy gaze and one clear and focused. He watched Nike stand up and leave. The man was interesting that was for sure. He turned his gaze away and flopped down on the bed frame, his eyes closing to be alone with his own thoughts. ---------- "So what type of home do you think we'll find? Ooo imagine one that has bedrooms and furniture or what about one with a fireplace. Ooo what about a hot tub or a pool? maybe we'll find a lake house, that would be so cool," Alleya was rambling on and on to Taurus,"Oh i hope we don't steal a location spot from another gang. I really don't like fighting, contrary to popular recent belief. Taurus wouldn't it-" "Thank god you're finally done talking to him!" Taurus spoke over excited Alleya. The man had his back turned to the woman and his fingers in his ears. Alleya had been driving him crazy already,"Now we can finally go." "ooo what about a cabin in the woods?" Alleya's eyes gleamed. It seemed like her moment with Theo had been temporarily forgotten. "Would you please shut the hell up?" Taurus snapped. As soon as he snapped, Alleya's spirit seemed to deflate. She looked at the ground, shuffling her feet and looking like she was about to cry. Edited at August 2, 2022 10:13 AM by Ashes of Night

"Thank god you're finally done talking to him!"
He heard Taurus’s voice the second he stepped out of Theo’s room and closed the door behind himself, letting out a low chuckle. The other man was clearly fed up with Alleya who seemed to be right back to her talkative self, she changed so quickly when it came to Theo.
When Taurus finally snapped at the woman both he and Alleya went quiet. Niké raised his eyebrows slightly, from what he'd seen so far, the man was overly kind so he did get slightly shocked when he heard him snap. Then again it was Alleya, if he was going to snap at anyone, Alleya made the most sense. Niké looked at the woman who seemed on the verge to start crying and he sighed softly before putting a hand on her back and giving her a light pat.
“Alright alright, let's just go now. If we are lucky we’ll find a place with a soundproof room,” he said, his tone revealing that he was tired but there was still a slight hint of playfulness in there as he said the last sentence. It was his attempt at a joke to try and lift both of the other two’s moods slightly. As nice as it was when Alleya was quiet, he didn't want her looking sad the entire time, nor did he want Taurus being irritated the whole time because she had annoyed him with her talking.
“I’m just gonna grab my jacket and then I'm set to leave,” he told them, not waiting for a reply as he made his way to his sleeping spot. Once there, he bent down and picked up both his hoodie and jacket. The hoodie he was quick to put on while he just threw the jacket over his shoulder and turned back to the other two, making his way back just as quickly to make sure that once Alleya started talking again, Taurus wouldn't be alone with her.

Alleys was shocked but also offended. Taurus never snapped at anyone, not even her. Her excitement faded to sadness. He must still be mad at her for what happened last night. That had to be the only explanation and it hurt. Hurt more over the basis that she was the one that didn't keep the angry ginger monster in tact. That's what she described her anger, well Theo helped with the name. She wondered what was wrong with him earlier. Maybe it was something that Nike said or did. Or maybe he was just in pain. She was surprised to feel someone pat her back and even more that it was Nike. Nike didn't seem like the comforting sort of man. He seemed more awkward and reserved. But she also seen how easily he defended her. Maybe they would be good friends after all, especially since he seemed more friendly than what he was this morning. "Soundproof room? Why would we need that?" She questioned, not getting the joke. Taurus on the other hand, who had been looking apologetic, was now smirking. He couldn't help a few laughs when Alleya didn't get the joke. She gave a small huff and crossed her arms. "So what do you think we'll find?" She questioned once Nike stepped away to get his jacket. "To be honest, this place right here will probably be the best we can find but we'll look," Taurus sighed with a shrug,"We want to find somewhere close but not too obvious. That's the downside to this place, it has an obvious entrance and barely any exits to safety. Plus pissing in a hole in the ground isn't too pleasant." Nike rejoined then and Taurus gave a faint nod before leading them out. "Let's stick together, the Rebels might be waiting to ambush a smaller patrol. They didn't seem too happy last night," He glanced at Alleya's wrists as he said that. "If that brute dare lays another hand on me..." Alleyw left that threat in the air, her hand resting in her jacket pocket. "I still don't think it was right of you to steal your knife back from sleeping Mitchie," Taurus shook his head frowning. "I don't like pistols," She grumbled and stepped out the door and took the lead, heading toward the city. Taurus glanced at Nike with his eyes narrowed. He had a feeling The city streets were going to change Alleya's spirit before the three days were up. She didn't have the experience to handle wild city gangs.

Niké followed the other two outside in silence and he slowed down for a few steps once they’d left the gang's current hideout. Once he'd put just a little distance to them he pulled out his pack of cigarettes and put one between his lips and lit it. He knew everyone didn't like the smell, that's the reason he hung back slightly.
Smoking was a bad habit that he'd picked up a few years back, he had tried to stop several times but it never lasted longer than a day, he always ended up finding some reason for why he “had” to smoke. The truth was that he would probably choke someone to death if they even dared to speak to him when he'd gone too long without a cigarette.
He would quit someday but that day wasn't today, or anytime soon, not with the amount of emotional stress he was dealing with at the moment. Even if he was trying to push the feeling of guilt aside, it wasn't working and it kept on making itself reminded. It was going to eat him up if he couldn't figure out what to do soon.
As he smoked a few puffs, he listened to Alleya and Taurus as they spoke, his eyes meeting Taurus’s as the man glanced back at him. All he did was shrug slightly, he wasn't exactly sure what the man wanted when he looked at him and instead he turned his attention towards Alleya who had declared that she didn't like guns.
“I wouldn't trust you with a gun, not with that aim and temper,” he told her, taking another puff of his cigarette before continuing, “You almost killed that guy yesterday when you threw a knife at him, should have killed him on the spot if it had been a bullet that you hit him with.”
Niké glanced at Taurus before looking back at Alleya again, taking a last puff before throwing the cigarette on the ground and walked up next to the two instead of staying behind them.
“Taurus might have been dead too had you had a pistol, you looked just about ready to slash his throat open last night, pulling a trigger is easier than doing that,” he finished. In no way was he trying to scold her for yesterday’s events, he was simply stating that she wouldn't be the best with a gun. He wouldn't lie and sugarcoat things to make her happy, not that he wanted to upset her either, he was just saying as it was.

Alleys was a little ahead of them both. She was overly excited again but instead of bugging them with words, she was playing a game with herself. She kept on making up a walking pattern to follow and to pick up sticks on the way. She was pretending to play hopscotch with invisible lines. She was happily humming as she went. Taurus kept his eyes and ears on their surroundings. He was barely paying attention to them, he was focused and driven to keep the group safe and to not lose them. He was taking his role very seriously.
Listening to Nike, he gave a snort when he mentioned him,"She can be damn right scary with a knife much less pistol." When he turned to look at her, he couldn't help but snicker at the way she was jumping around and picking up sticks. In a way, she was acting childish but at least she was occupied and not driving him nuts. "I think she's lost in fairy tail land to listen to you," He told Nike before jogging to catch up with her a little bit. He didn't want her getting too far ahead of them. It didn't take them long to get into the city, they didn't live too far away. Sorry short)) Edited at August 2, 2022 02:45 PM by Ashes of Night

Niké watched Alleya as she skipped further and further away from them. He chuckled softly at the other man's comment, Alleya was definitely somewhere else right now.
The woman was just like a little kid really, just way more dangerous when she lost it. While he knew the reason why Alleya had ended up in the gang, he didn't understand it, surely there must have been other options for her. She was far too innocent for this type of life, on the inside she was still just a little girl, at least from what Niké had seen so far.
He sighed a bit when he saw that the other two were getting too far away from him and he jogged closer knowing that it would be a risk for all of them if they got too far away from each other. They were already an easy target seeing as they were only three people and he knew from his test that Taurus wasn't a great fighter and well, Alleya was stuck in her dreamworld. Hopefully these three days would pass quickly without much trouble and that they would find a new hideout that would work well enough.
The man glanced around a bit, studying the people around them since his ears were practically useless in the city where there was a lot more background noise, all the sounds just got mixed together and it was hard to make out any distinct sounds.
((It's fine, posts are probably gonna be a bit shorter now when there isn't as much action and such going on currently))

Alleya shoved as many of the sticks that she could into her jean pockets, her skips and hops fading into a walk as she realized how close that they were to the city. She was a little nervous now, speaking that this city was the one she had ran away from. She was worried about her ex finding her but she doubted he would recognize her at all now. Before she had really pale skin and a soft fragile frame. She had always been petite but the difference was that before she had no muscle and was on the heavier side. Not fat, just more...soft built. Now she had abs and muscles, she only gave the appearance of being weak and petite. She also had a ton of pigmentation from the countless of sunburns she had gotten in the two months she had been away since it has been crazy hot until a few weeks ago. She had probably one of the most dramatic changes within the gang for a long time. "Is everything okay?" Taurus asked, putting an arm on her waist to draw her into him so his voice could be heard over the traffic. "Oh yes, fine," She said, glancing at the digital sign that displayed the date outside of a thrift store. It just felt strange being back. Taurus gave a little noise and kept his arm around her as they walked. She didn't mind, it was kind of nice in a way. "What about that building?" She nudged his shoulder toward the one next to the thrift store. "That thrift store gets a ton of business and it's too obvious. Let's try looking for something that doesn't scream that a gang lives there," He pointed toward the alley in between buildings. That would probably be the safest bet to look for something a bit more secretive. He began heading down the alley, looking around for something, anything that would work. "Look at the foot prints in the dirt," Alleya whispered, her hand going back into her pocket, where the knife was. She also noticed ashes from a fire and a hole in the side of one of the buildings,"Looks like somebody already lives here." Taurus gave a nod and quickened the pace. He didn't want to mess with another gang or even group of the homeless. There was only three of them and he didn't want to cause a fight.

Niké saw how Taurus pulled Alleya closer and he could see that their mouths were moving but he couldn't make out what they were saying, instead he simply followed them, keeping his eyes open for any threats or a new gang location. Seeing as the current location was good they needed to find somewhere equally as good, it wasn't just about Theo approving of the place, it was the whole gang who needed to be happy with it too otherwise they surely wouldn't be happy with either of them and seeing as Alleya already wasn't liked amongst the others and he himself was new, it was pretty important they found a good place.
As they turned into the alley it got a bit more quiet and he looked around the place. It was obvious that someone lived here so when Taurus quickened his pace, Niké did the same. While he definitely didn't want to run into any other gang or any homeless people for that matter, the last thing he wanted to run into was any druggies. They could be absolutely batshit crazy and he knew that because he'd seen it one too many times.
Given that there were quite a few gangs in this city as well as plenty of homeless people, finding a new gang location would be hard, at least finding a good one. He turned his head to look at Taurus, seeing as the man was supposed to be the leader of their little group, “What type of place should we be looking for, what do you think we’ll be able to find?”
In his own opinion somewhere either really well hidden and hard to find would be good, or somewhere right in the middle of everything, almost so obvious that no one would even suspect they were there. But Taurus knew the gang best and what they would want so he would leave it up to him to decide and then he would just look after what he was told to look for.

Taurus and Alleya walked faster together, his arm around her waist pulling her to the same pace as him. They didn't want any trouble so with the signs of somebody else taking this spot, they moved on. They got out of the alley without running into anyone. The people could be trying to earn money or doing something in the city. Alleys was just glad they didn't run into anyone. "What type of place should we be looking for, what do you think we'll find?" Alleya thought that was a fair question from Nike. They had to know what they were looking for. Taurus set off on the other side of the buildings. This side was way quieter so they could hear each other. She followed him, glancing around to look for another place. "Well anything abandoned we should check out. I'm looking for a less obvious location so we can hide better. We really don't like interaction from other gangs," Taurus answered the question,"Something similar to what we have now would be great. Just add a few better qualities for it." Alleyw looked around and across the street, she saw something that might be worth checking out. It was a hotel but it looked abandoned. There was no cars, rust setting in around the windowseals, and a tree limb through the roof. It wasn't perfect for living but could be for them. They could fix the roof. "Hey what about that?" She nudged Taurus but felt disappointed when he shook his head and didn't stop to investigate it. "Too obvious," He stated. She gave a small huff. She thought it had potential. But of course Taurus was leader so she pulled away from his grip on her waist and crossed her arms. He didn't even want to check it out which did offend her. She matched her pace with Nike in the back and continued to look for something. They walked a couple blocks until Taurus suddenly stopped. "There we go, let's look here," They were on the backside of countless of buildings and a few houses. It took her a moment to realize he was pointing to a cellar. He opened it up and when she got closer, the smell of something decaying and cigar smoke filled the air. She wrinkled her nose and immediately stepped back. "I'm not going in there," There was no way in hell Taurus thought this was a good idea,"I'd like to not poison my lungs. Besides, cellars flood so easily and it would be a tight fit to get the whole g-gang in there." But Taurus didn't listen to her. He jumped into the cellar.
