Brosc Sloan | 675ish | Male | Bisexual Poly | Harem

M: Suya + Angelique (Dep)

The sweet sounds that Suya made tickled his ears, but Suya’s eyes changing hue made Brosc’s smirk grow exponentially, his own eyes changing as his eyes slowly scanned Suya’s body as Brosc pressed tightly against him. The blood collar Brosc had made was a good fit for Suya. Unlike his other extravagant clothes, the collar was much simpler and much tighter around Suya’s neck. Brosc had internally decided to make another one of these on Suya later after the meeting. Suya’s nails, which dug into Brosc’s back, felt good and Brosc could not help but bite into Suya harsher as he swore.

“I don’t think anyone will mind if I keep you here for a little fun…~” Brosc whispered back against his neck after giving a husky chuckle at his comment before lovingly kissing the bite area.

With how well he pleased all of Brosc’s scenes, Brosc was half tempted to scoop Suya up and bring him to bed to continue the “distraction” even further; although this euphoric escapade was more about keeping Suya’s mind off work for a little rather than getting carried away with marking him up like a dog marks its toy, Brosc was definitely getting happily into the method of destressing Suya.

That was when Suya started to warn of someone else approaching.

In all honesty, Brosc could hear Suya’s warnings but he chose to ignore them anyway because Suya tasted so good. Plus, if the person was smart enough to think logically, they would know to avoid the adult romance section of the library. In addition, if they got caught, Brosc would have something new to tease Suya with. Brosc could just picture his embarrassment and imagine his ranting after—

Brosc was yanked away from Suya’s lips and was a little shocked by the motion as he tensed and thought someone was trying to pick a fight before realizing the both of them were just getting a scolding. Brosc could not help but smirk, glancing at Suya as a mischievous chuckle left his lips. Suya’s eyes had turned an embarrassed warmth as the woman, who Brosc had no recollection or recognition of, spoke of the “no deference for literature.”

“In all fairness,” Brosc replied with a low chuckle to the woman, reaching for a book behind Suya before flipping through the pages, “we are located in the adult romance section of the library so— ah! Perfect example!—” Brosc showed the woman an image from the book he had pulled out that was a very lewd image of two men with a smug yet composed smile— “you could just say that we are fully immersing ourselves in the literature if anything.” Brosc tilted his head as he slammed the book closed with one hand, staring down at the woman with a mischievous and almost challenging grin.

Before Brosc could test how far he could push the woman in front of him further, Sayu spoke more on what Suya said. Suya addressed the woman as “Duchess Belmont” so she clearly was important, but what was more important to Brosc was when Suya actually caught onto Brosc’s plan. Brosc’s eyes briefly changed to a deeper red as he smiled softly at Sayu before gently kissing his cheek. “I am glad you liked the distraction and I promise to take you somewhere far more romantic next time.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Duchess Belmont~” Brosc purred after Suya had already introduced him, wrapping an arm around Suya after the poor vampire had just straightened himself out. All of a sudden, Suya glared at Brosc for seemingly no reason. Okay well, maybe there was a reason but Suya was loving the attention at the time so Brosc could not understand why Suya was suddenly mad at him for the holes now. Before Brosc could interject with a tease or even with an eye roll, Suya was condoning the duchess for her loss. Huh. Maybe Brosc should pay more attention to politics and whatnot but Brosc had no idea who the woman was let alone that she suffered a loss as of late. Brosc bowed his head in respect as Sayu talked, gently squeezing Sayu closer as Sayu’s tone was somber and expression was solemn.

Brosc let go of Sayu as he turned and left the library, following behind at his heels and smirking the whole way. Not saying anything, Brosc studied his every feature with a growing sly grin despite knowing Sayu’s frustration and lust was growing after being caught.

Brosc sprawled out on Sayu’s bed, stretching and glaring exposing himself to Sayu briefly before watching Sayu enter his bathroom. As he watched Sayu enter the bathroom, Brosc made silent bets with himself. Begging for more or ranting? Brosc was hoping for the begging one, but knowing Sayu he would most likely be—

“What in the everlasting Tartarus and absolute fuck did you do to my neck?”

Ranting.

“Mhmm~ I don’t know what you mean,” Brosc replied smugly as he rested his head on his hands as he laid on his back. “Those marks are definitely not mine. Nope, definitely not mine in the slightest~” Brosc chuckled as Suya complained about the new holes in his blouse and Brosc made a mental note to either tell someone much more skilled than himself to fix Suya’s shirt or to fix it himself. “So feisty and cute when you’re angry~”

Brosc sighed somewhat disappointedly as he did not get to watch Suya change before him but his eyes grew a deep blood red as the sight of Suya in such an elegant and beautiful dress. Rolling onto his side, Brosc looked Sayu up and down with wide eyes, his mind getting several ideas that caused him to bite his lip until it bled. Fuck, he hated how good Suya looked in a dress especially with Suya’s upper thigh exposed. With Suya’s hair still a chaotic mess and his hickeys and smudged lipstick clearly visible, Suya looked even more appealing to Brosc. Brosc had to contain himself from calling Suya over to bed with him to continue what they started in the library.

Before Brosc could comment, Suya quickly became busy with making a message— a command, really— for all to hear with his hypnosis abilities before quickly walking down to the meeting point. Brosc followed after him and sighed as they entered the meeting room. It was such a bland room really but not because the room was not fancy but because the room held such droll topics that the boringness from previous meetings was spilling out from the cushions of the seats, the floorboards, and every square inch of the room. Although the boringness was enough to numb anyone’s emotions, Brosc was still worried that Suya’s anxiety and worry might spark up so Brosc decided to take precautionary action.

“Hey Suya?” Before Suya could reply, Brosc quickly pressed a kiss to his lips. Brosc gently intertwined his fingers with Suya’s and made a point to create a blood ring on Suya’s fingers as a way to temporarily claim him in a way that Suya could remove if it so chose to. Brosc pulled away from the kiss as he gently grabbed the side of Suya’s face as smooth his thumb along his cheek. “I love you and you’ll do great in the meeting today.” Brosc pulled away before his gentle smile morphed into a smirk. “Maybe we can have some fun together once this boring thing is wrapped up, deal?~”

Jayco | ? | M | Harem | Shifter

Mentions: Garvin and Riskel (dir.)

When he mentioned secrets, Jayco snorted and narrowed his eyes in his direction. “Secrets? What kind of secrets do you have?” His eyes scanned him to take in every detail, “You seem shady, yeah. But secretive? No.” Indeed. Garvin does look like your crazed homeless man, not to mention reeked of one. Ugh, his scent was so disgusting it was intoxicating. Jayco has secrets, some that even Suya (even Brosc) doesn’t know. He didn’t share his past with anyone, even with his clan. Oddly enough, they trusted him and didn’t annoy him to spill it. They’re a bunch of idiots in his eyes for allowing a stranger you know little of to enter your domain. A group of idiots he secretly admires, well, some idiots. Not all of them. However, the man sitting beside him was someone he oddly trusted. With him being a drunken bastard, he had a charm. A charm that Jayco is attracted to and disgusted over. His mind is in a battle between conflict and acceptance. “Hmm,” going back into his fantasy world to converse with himself for a bit.

He snorted when he returned to the present. Just in time to hear what the stranger had to say next. “Oh, quit bullshitting me.” Chuckling soon after, shuffling on the couch to face Garvin. His eyes returned their signature gleam, his lips twisting into a charming grin, “I only make fun of names that sound stupid.” When he heard his supposed nickname, he raised a brow and started to wonder what he meant by Coco. “I hope that nickname wasn’t an attempt to offend me, drunkard.” His sentence appeared to be a threat and insult, yet his tone didn’t match it. It was playful. Impish, even. Slowly Jayco tilts his head to get a better glimpse of the stranger’s face to read his emotions. “Coco? That’s a peculiar name. Tell me this,” he says while scooting closer to the fellow, “is it because I’m sweet as chocolate, or I’m simply too crazy for your taste?”

Impatiently for the man to give him his name, Jayco removed (more like ripped) the liver and tossed it outside through one of the broken windows. “Garvin?” He was quiet, focusing on the bear and his carving first before deciding to respond. “Geesh,” he replies with heavy sarcasm in his word. “I thought my name was terrible.” His lips separated as he hollered with laughter, wiping away the tears from his cheeks with his bloodied finger. “You crack me up. Now,” he turns his head to face Garvin, “don’t take it to offense. I’m only pulling your strings.” Not wanting to anger his only companion at the moment. He brought his bloodied fingers to his lips and gave them a couple of licks to clean them before stroking Garvin’s cheeks. “A good name for a lovely man yourself, drunkard.”

When he brought up the whole meeting each other again, both of the man’s brows raised, “Of course. I’m eager to see you again. To be honest with you,” shifting his attention back to the bear, “you don’t stress me out or make me want to bash your head on the floor like these people.” A smug look on his scared face, holding something much deeper than that. “I’m keen on giving you another kind of bashing. I don’t care about people spotting us,” he pats the dead bear on the unskinned shoulder, “I’m more concerned about the comfort of the couch. I don’t want a poorly maintained spring to break while we’re going at it.” Impalement by the couch while getting it on would make an embarrassing story that Jayco won’t be too eager to share. He could see their dumb faces now. They’ll be smirking while he yanks the spring from his rear end. Ugh. That’ll be the day when everyone would meet their final death. It would be a fun experience to do at the start of the massacre, but the cleaning would be a Hell of a chore. All those ashes he would have to sweep up would take forever.

Why is killing fellow vampires a chore to do? Why can’t he eat them whole or toss their bodies to his dogs? Vampires and humans annoy him in different ways. At least they’re at the same level in his Annoyance Meter. So there’s one positive thing. “Everyone,” he side-glanced Garvin, “except you,” looking away to stare at the doors of the greenhouse, “annoys me to the point I want to fuck them up.” With most of the hide carved off the body, he effortlessly ripped it off and rolled up the bloodied fur. “Now, now, human, no need to be angry. You’ll scare away our friend.” Riskel snarkily retorts in his head, Jayco giving him the bird spiritually. “Piss off, Big Bad Wolf. I’m talking with Red Riding Hood here.” Hearing the beast’s laughter, Jayco shifted heatedly in his seat. “Does that make you the Huntsmen?” “Oh, it does, so I can have an excuse to kill your annoying creature ass.”

Riskel didn’t cease his annoying laughter, making Jayco snort in annoyance. “It wouldn’t be fair that you gave me a lovely nickname, and I gave you one that insults your whole personality.” He closes his eyes, bringing out the memories that he had of his childhood before his entire life went to shit.

༺═──────────────═༻

“Riskel!” A voice of a teen called out to him, “Come on! Father says that it’s time to go home!” Crouching in a field of flowers, picking a bunch of yellow flowers, was a kid with bright red hair. His vibrant eyes were full of warmth, “Hold on, brother! I’m picking flowers for dad!” Riskel shouted, “Brother Ddsadw, do you think dad would like these buttercups?” He hears footsteps coming closer, making Riskel rise to his feet. In his little hands was the bundle of buttercups. The little boy stared at his brother’s face. It was rotten, with missing eyes, small patches of hair, and brown, peeling skin. Riskel wasn’t terrified of his brother’s appearance; instead, his smile grew wider as his brother spoke, “I think father would like them very much, Riskel.” The corpse-face chuckled while placing a hand on the boy’s head. “Thank you, Ddsadw! I’ll make you a flower crown too.” His brother nods his head, but his facial expression is uninterpreted. The flowers in his hands were glowing, like a sign given to him by a messenger.

༺═──────────────═༻

“Buttercup,” he only wanted to remember that part, not his brother, “that’ll be your nickname.” That’s the only event he picked to look back on. He hates everything in his past. No, he hated everything he did. Jayco despised himself for the actions he did before he got punished. Wait, no. He got thrown out and abandoned. They left him behind-chained him up like he was a monster. He was close to breaking down, only for a singular word to calm him down, “Buttercup.” Again. He reuttered. “Yes. It’s a beautiful nickname. For an appealing man.” Rising to his feet, he licks off his bloodied hands to clean them. A flash of his memory returned, of him a young man. He stares at his trembling crimson hands-his fingernails weren’t normal. Human fingers don’t look like this. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. The floor beneath him was snow, yet some patches of the snow were red. Blood filled his nose, the presence of the grim reaper hanging over his shoulders.

His breathing was getting heavier, and his heart grew cold. Jayco's eyes shifted upwards to face in front of him, only for his breathing to cease. Lying in a mangled mess was his brother. Well, he didn’t know, as he was beyond recognizable. His body ripped to shreds, with parts of his body having teeth marks. He could hear the ghostly voices of his fellow brothers-in-arms whispering in his ears. “All your fault.” “You monster.” “Why did you kill us, Riskel?” He was close to breaking down, and he fell to his knees. His eyes filled with confusion and grief, unmoving as he stared at the half-eaten body. “It’s all my fault! I did it! I killed-” Before he could say the name, he returned to his senses. He was back to his sensibility and staring at the greenhouse doors. He was standing in the middle of the greenhouse. Jayco’s eyes shift down to his partially cleaned hands, a relieved sigh leaving his lips. “Good. Good.” That’s why he hates thinking of his past. Now he hoped that Garvin didn’t hear his crazed murmurings, his fingers raking through his hair.

He needs to get Garvin out before he loses himself again, “I’ll escort you to the meeting room. That’s where we separate until we see each other again.” He sees Garvin’s torn shirt while trailing his tongue on his lips. Jayco takes off his vest, handing it to Garvin without hesitation. “Put this on. It’ll look a lot better on you than me.” He watches as the other puts it on before spacing out again. He approaches the other man and scoops him in his arms. Jayco brings his lips to the other’s neck, pressing a soft kiss on his skin while his nose twitches to inhale his scent. “So beautiful.” It’s unclear if he was talking about his aroma or features. In silence, Jayco carries Garvin inside the castle to the entrance of the meeting room. As gently as possible, he sets the blood-gifter down. “If anyone asks about me, tell them I’m dead.” He hurries off, shoving his hands into the pockets of his pants. He’s not going to attend the meeting in this state. Not when he’s close to killing someone. Jayco left the castle to hide in the greenhouse, wanting to resume his crafting.

Alexander Felis Irvine High Harem || Male || Shifter/Vampire || 350s || M: Davorin (Ind) Tatsuya (Dir) Queen Zylpha (Ind)

What had Alex been up to for the past few hours? Well, nothing good – that was as about as obvious as the deep reddish blood-stain on his jacket sleeve. Which he now was rubbing aggressively in hopes he could get it off. Of course, despite the flurry of his palm against the thick black cotton, this was so far failing. Brilliant. He hated blood-stains, stains, the colour red in general, the whole stupid vampire thing... His mumbling turned into cursing whatever idiot had made such a brightly coloured, irremovable liquid a necessity for his useless sustained existence, and - finally feeling full enough once more - he began to wander again.

He made his way outside, scaling the walls in his cat form, as per the usual. The shifter wasn’t quite sure himself why he found the tabby appearance so comforting. Alex could vaguely remember an argument with some other Vampire – their name long forgotten in his poor memory - about all the energy he ‘wasted’ staying transformed most of the time. Sure, maybe some would consider his commitment to the form a waste of ability or strength but so far, it appeared to work out well. At least for non-shifter Vampires such as dear Da-

Whatever, the meeting was bound to start soon so he would see everyone then, and have to return to the usual Alex anyways. Perhaps he’d find some new faces to go investigate and finally meet this new Queen. It would be so painfully formal, but he would do his best to fight something worth remembering out of the event.

Pausing abruptly, he had just come to the awful realisation that hadn’t flirted with anyone yet. Gods – was he actually ill? Could Vampires even get sick? Sure, he wasn’t exactly one to be the centre of a party – fine, meeting – but still this was remarkably out of character. Was seeing Davorin again really such a massive deal? He couldn’t blame being blood-starved this time.

Nah, he dismissed the thought and the flurry of random ones littering his brain. It was really just seeing other vampires that was throwing him off. He hadn’t been exactly isolated for the past few years, but aside from the occasional fling here and there or spending time with his Queen as she wished, he hadn’t really spoken with any of the others. And judging by how his brain fogged up when he tried to identify them it had maybe been a bit too long. Vampires as a race were certainly a secluded bunch, but Queen Viv had done a lot to bring them closer than they had been – at least to the best of his knowledge. It was probably his own stupid fault for not getting involved enough... with whatever these Vampires were doing. Actually, more he thought about it the more unappealing it seemed.

To set the record straight, Alex did not not like Vampires. They just didn’t have a way of putting him at ease like humans once did – at least how he thought they did. It was more forest creatures that allowed him to relax and speak his mind without the usual wave of threats. As amusing as it was to playfully toy with Vampires, he could never appreciate the aggressive nature many of them displayed. No doubt it absolutely made them look fit. Like really fit. But still, he didn’t like being at risk of a second death – not even as a joke. The first (half-one?) had been plenty for one unlifetime.

Alex quite literally jumped at the voice in the back of his mind, "The meeting will commence in five minutes... Blah blah..” Ah, there it was. The silky-smooth tone of the Grand Duke Tatsuya Montcrioux. He was already zoning out the rest of the message, but quickly made a mental note not to say anything stupid in front of the guy. Or think anything stupid either. No doubt there would be a few other pesky Hypnosis Vampires testing the waters tonight, picking up whatever stray pieces of information they could-

He paused for a moment, checking to see if his brain was truly empty and there wasn’t anyone prying. That would not be great. His brain wasn't the most complimentary of things. Assuring himself that there wasn’t he continued:

That was his problem with the Hypnosis Vampires. They didn’t just get under his skin but also had to get into his mind. Maybe it wasn’t that different from his little animal network or his fluffy alter-ego but if someone were to be stupid enough to tell their whole life story to a cat, why would he stop them? Breaking into his thoughts or mind or whatever was an entirely different deal. Well, he would be keeping a braincell out for anything buzzing around the back of his mind this time – protecting his mind as best he could.

Alex shifted out of his feline-form just before he climbed through the window frame, shutting it neatly behind himself. He sat there for a moment, bringing his legs to cross as he glanced around the room – glancing hungrily towards the table. Maybe he had been filled not that long ago, but he would never refuse such an elegant spread of foods and wines. It was also with semi-amusement that he looked down towords the thrones and seating arrangement - raising an eyebrow to the placement of the Queen and High Consort's thrones. It would sure be amusing if it were to get mixed up. He'd actually like to see the new Queen take charge a little - as strange as her whole situation seemed.

Well, he'd make his judgement on her soon enough.

“Grand Duke Montcrioux.” He glanced down at the Hypnosis Vampire, with a quick dip his head in the politest way he could manage – which honestly looked more like an informal nod than anything else. With a charming smile, he then dangled his legs below the windowsill and leant on his hands, waiting for more guests to appear.

Usually, he'd make small talk. But in all honesty Tatsuya terrified the shit out of him. Alongside most authority figures. Well, if he wanted to discuss anything, Alex would be happy to oblige but for now he was perfectly content to perch apon the sill with his legs swinging as he waited for more guests to arrive. Or at least a specific guest-

Lovel | 26 | M | Hunter/Blood-Gifter | Human

Mentions: Davorin (dir.)

Lovel held his tongue while Davorin regained consciousness, while his two-colored eyes filed with concern over his darling friend. Yes, the vampire in his lap was nothing more than a friend. Nothing more. Nothing less. He tilts his head when he hears the vampire mutter beneath him, trying to pick up what he was trying to say to him. He was about to reply when he noticed the shine return to his eyes and arms wrapping around him. Lovel blinks a few times in confusion while hiding back the increasing fear that Davorin is going to kill him. “Lovel!” His fear reassured upon hearing the excitement in his vampire’s tone, and his arms slowly wrapped around his friend. His lips under his mask coil into a loving smile, “Davorin.” His voice was soothing and calm, but he didn’t hold back on the affectionate part. He could feel his cheeks warm up when he felt a hand cup his cheek, yet being a stubborn fellow, Lovel huffs. “It’s getting too hot for me, Davorin.” Before arriving here, he was enjoying the embracing warmth of the castle, but all of a sudden, he disliked it.

“Of course. I came here for the reward,” Lovel’s eyes gradually observing his figure before clearing his throat, “which is for coin. Yes,” shifting his eyes to the side to cover up the sense of embarrassment, “the money.” He’ll be damned if he exposes his actual feelings to Davorin. Not yet, anyway. Damn, why is there always a sexy vampire at the worst timing? His heart was racing with anxiousness, and he could feel the warmth spread to his ears. “You better not notice it and are too busy with your health.” He begged silently, bringing his hands to cover his ears. Oh, boy. His blushing got worse when Rin mentioned a dinner date and the addition of a boat ride. Nope. He wasn’t developing (or increasing) feelings for his supposed-to-be enemy. His fingers flow through his hair to distract them. Lovel was trying to resist the urge of his hands to rip off the other’s clothes. Slowly, his eyes return to Davorin and imagine him without clot-I mean, without the worry on his face. Yes, seeing Davorin worried made him worry. Reading and expressing the other’s emotions was becoming too tiresome. It makes his mind filled with lus-concern. Worried: that’s the answer. He was troubled by Rin’s bizarre actions.

The Hunter removes his mask from his face, exposing the lower half of his face. “It’s been chaotic on my side too.” He felt an awkward silence between them, so he begins to speak up, “I forgive you for now. Just,” playing with a lock of hair to calm his racing nerves, “don’t leave me in the cold. Metaphorically speaking too.” When he mentioned the queen, he was about to inquire further, then Davorin blew the dam of drama. He sat there quietly while his boyfriend (a friend that’s a boy, of course) was rambling out his feelings. He didn’t interrupt his ranting but couldn’t help a smile forming. Man, Davorin was adorable during his ranting phase. Lovel giggled like a schoolgirl seeing her crush walking down the hall, then neatly tucked a piece of hair behind his ear. His eyes were gleaming with admiration and joy. His body relaxed compared to being out in the city. Guess being around Davorin was calming his rambling mind. It makes his heart melt with lo-likings. He likes Davorin. As a friend. A companion. A lover.

Lover? No, that’s not it. He doesn’t love him like that. As a friend? Sure, he loves him that way. When it comes to being romantic partners, it only occurs in his daydream. Ahem. What? No, he doesn’t dream about him and Davorin being a couple. That’s hilarious. A big lie, even. Their relationship is for business.

Out of his control, his eyes shot back to Davorin, offering him a lecherous grin. What kind of partners smile at each other like this? What allies give each other lustful stares and excited grins with mischievous intentions behind them? When his partner (friendly-type) examined the items in his hands, Lovel pressed them close to his body. Rin didn’t question it, let alone thank him for such gifts. His brows falter to a disappointed frown, huffing and setting the items down on the bed. “For a Soul Vampire, you’re quite dense,” he angrily whispered to himself, and this time, his face red with anger. Realizing Davorin could easily pick up on it with his cursed super hearing, Lovel got up from the bed and crossed his arms. “Those gifts were for you. I handpicked them myself, but you didn’t seem to care about it.” His tone was snippy with the vampire, squeezing his hands tight against his arms. His grip was so tight that his hands were becoming white, and there was a chance he might leave a few bruises behind. “I wanted to do something special for your sexy ass, and you’ve just ignored them! Didn’t bother to thank me or anything!” After his mini-rant, his whole posture and expression changed. He remembered what he said in that second last sentence. He slaps his mouth with his hand. “I just called you sexy ass,” his voice was deathly quiet as he was on a path of dilemma, “I fucking called him sexy ass. Oh my fucking God.”

Again with the silence of the room, then Lovel loudly says, “ANYWAYS!” Trying to regain his dwindled confidence and shift the topic onto something else besides someone’s ass. Although, it’s a lovely topic to discuss. His mind filled with dirty thoughts, only for Davorin’s previous words to pull him back into the present. “An afterparty?” When Rin started listing the things that’ll be there, Lovel’s mind was back into la-la-land and his tongue tasting the imaginary beverages. Yeah. That’s tossed out the window when the boat ride got mentioned again. Lovel thought at first that it would be a business meeting, yet the way Rin was grinning at him meant something else. He storms over to the vampire, straddling his lap, and grips his shoulders. His face a bright red, giving Rin a few gentle shakes, “Is that the blood loss driving you crazy? What’s making you say such bizarre things, Rin-Rin?” He huffed and puffed out his cheeks. He ceased his shaking and pressed his forehead against Davorin’s. “Why do you drive me crazy,” his eyes stared at those luscious lips belonging to Davorin. His mind was telling him to do it. His brain ordered him to smack a kiss on those lips to get it over with, and quit holding back. So, he closed his eyes and tilted his head.

His lips touched Rin’s, giving him a gentle and loving kiss on his lips, his arms planted on the other’s shoulders.

Edrys Kolsvalk

⸻⸻・⸻・⸻⸻
Female || 20 Years Old || Experienced Hunter
M:
Lovel { ind. }, Davorian { ind. }, Umbria
⸻⸻・⸻・⸻⸻

Sitting still, Edrys held her head upwards, staring at the dark ceiling. She was in a dark room, yet she could see mostly everything. Well, the basic shapes. For a moment, she was confused, but when she realized she was just overtired, she closed her eyes exhaustingly as she listened to the conversation hiding beside the wall. She couldn't tell whether to be thrilled that Lovel was not in danger or to be horrified to find that the both of them.. were in a special relationship of some sort.

Oh god. The thought made her skin crawl.

After everything that had been done. The countless bodies. The body count was never-ending, every other day and night, a body would wind up in some dark, forbidding alley. Their faces frozen in fear, their life ending without a second's thought. What were they thinking? Were they hoping someone was coming to save them? To hug them, comfort them, and say it'll be alright? But instead, they were treated like garbage, having the life sucked from them dry, and then left for dead. Edrys couldn't fathom the pain, the fear... Actually.. she could. She knew the same pain and horror those helpless victims felt. Fangs ripping into the skin, drinking your very life with nothing but a mere smile. Beasts. She knew. She was there. She was there when they took the life of her little sister. So small, and so frail. What did she do to deserve such a painful, heart-wrenching death? Nothing. Her sister didn't deserve it. She was 8 for god's sake.. why? Her sister's death always dug at Edrys. If only she swung the blade faster, maybe.. maybe she would still have been alive. Maybe she could've saved her sister from death. But in the end, she was never fast enough, and her sister had fallen.

People have asked why Edrys joined the Hunters. Of course, she refused to reply, but in reality, she joined for her sister. She became a hunter, hoping to save others from the same dreadful fate. And fortunately, she was successful. Maybe, she wasn't always there in time, but when she could, Edrys was there.

With a sudden, quiet gasp, Edrys was stunned for a moment. She could feel a cold, weak tear trickling down her cheek. Lifting her finger, she wiped it away softly, staring at the floorboards beneath her feet. The last time she had ever shed a tear was the last time she saw her sister. Never before, nor after, had she lost a tear. It stunned her, honestly. She doesn't even remember the last time she would or even could have cried while remembering the past.

Rubbing her eyes quickly, she sat upright in the chair. She was tired, that was all. It had been a very, very long night. Maybe it was time to head home. Glancing at the door, she saw as the doors were still shut, and Edrys took a silent breath of relief.

On the other side of the wall, she could hear that the two were just about to have the best time of their lives, and she did not want to hear that. She'd heard enough. Plenty to speak to her Leader about it, and confess what she had witnessed tonight. Standing from her chair, she brushed herself off and took another deep breath.

Slowly she walked over to the large window, pulling back the old curtain, looking down below. No longer did she see any wandering vampires, meaning that they were either in the castle or heading back to their disgusting families. "Ugh," she whispered to herself in disgust.

It was time to go back home, she had enough of this shit hole.

As Edrys pulled her hands to pull her hoodie over her head, she forgot she left her cloak, and she was simply wearing a button-up shirt with black trousers. Fun. She could already feel the chilly wind blowing in through the shutters.

"Home. Sleep," she mumbled to herself, and she turned around, her eyes glued to the floor. As Edrys was walking towards the door, she stopped dead in her tracks as she heard the door creep open. With a shuddering breath, she lifted her head to see what was in front of her, and she could barely catch her breath.

Standing in the doorway, was no other but a vampire.

Edrys was speechless. The door was just closed. She heard no footsteps. She didn't hear the floorboards creaking. Silently, Edrys took an empty breath, and her hand slowly reached for the blade that was now in her back pocket. With swift movement, she had the blood-stained blade wrapped in her hands.

Keeping her eyes on the female vampire, Edrys took a slow step backward. She couldn't take this vampire on, she was simply too tired to, and her energy was depleting at an exhausting rate.

"Now.. I can just go. And you never saw me, no reason for this to become a bloody mess."

Umbria | 200 | F | Blood | Vampire

Mentions: Mauve and Edyrs (dir.), Kiran and Rosalie (ind.)

Shit.

Why does she have to be stuck with handling this situation? She has to deal with two bleeding bastards who decided that dying right now would be the best time. The two were bleeding out during a meeting, no less. “Fucking idiots. My loveable idiots.” Umbria checks on Kiran’s wrists, a breath of relief leaving her lips as they gradually start to heal. “Now I have to dig a grave for you. I don’t have time to dig one out!” She’s done it before, so being disgusted towards it was not an issue. What’d you think the cemetery was here in the first place? The main problem was the fact they were on a tight schedule. Do you know how long it takes to dig a grave? Especially for a tall ass man such as him!?! She can’t fold him like a ball (it would be hilarious), as Kiran has done so much for her over these past undead years. Like a mother would with her sick child, Umbria gently caresses his cold forehead. “Why did you choose to die right now, you fool?” Her voice was barely a whisper, hating the fact she was seeing her precious children in pain, correction, dying in front of her. Her violet eyes turn to Rosalie, glad her wounds were healing, except for one. A gaping wound on her stomach, the strong scent of silver escaping from there.

Fuck me.

Umbria huffs, wanting to smack these two younglings in front of her for putting her in this stressful situation, though she refrained, not because she was worried about hurting them. By the Vampire Goddess (sorry, mother). She’ll get her ass kicked if someone were to enter the room and sees her slapping the princess. Let’s say that if someone were to harm any of the royal family-their punishment would be death. Huh, I wonder who created that rule in the first place. Ahem, Vivienne, well, her. Yes, that was the BEST rule to enforce, one of the GREATEST laws of her time. Oh, yes. She was drawing heavy sarcasm towards her stupidity during her time as queen. Still, it gave no one the right to call her an idiot. Well, except for Bella. To add, Tatsuya. By the Fangs, Jayco too. If he calls you an idiot (knowing him), you’re a damn idiot. Hearing a noise behind her, she turns around to face her dark knight in armor. It was-

“Lady Mauve,” a tone of relief in her words, “thank the Goddess that you’re here.” She approaches the other woman, then sets a hand on her shoulder. “Babysit the dying princess, will you? I need to bury my Childe. Wow,” she pauses for a second, “that sounded so damn wrong. What I meant to say was,” pointing her thumb at Kiran, “he’s converting into a vampire, and I need to bury him before he dies for real.” Without waiting for her response, she rushes back to Kiran and picks him up over her shoulders. Umbria left the bedroom in a hurry to the direction of the cemetery. “Damn you,” remembering that they were in the dead of winter, “I have to bury you in a ground that’ll be hard as concrete. You did this on purpose, bastard.” With her harsh words came affection. She glares at the other vampires, daring them to speak to her without permission. Arriving at the graveyard, Umbria gets to work and starts digging a grave using her blood to form a shovel.

• ────── ✾ ────── •

Umbria finished burying the nuisance of her future Childe, sighing as the arm she sliced was healing bit by bit. She needs blood urgently before she loses her mind. Man, she misses the perks of being a Blue-Blood Queen. “Your punishments are way too harsh for me, mother.” She grumbled to herself, only for her mind to be interrupted when a stranger’s scent embraced her sense of smell. She followed it, hunger on her mind, and oh boy, her dead heart was racing. Hearing what sounds like a couple of rants in the other room, then moans, she snorts, “Is everyone banging each other during my damn funeral? I raised everyone better than this.” She’s speaking like a true hypocrite, as they probably picked up on her behavior and how she acts around Isolabella. Listen, it doesn’t excuse to act like a bunch of horn dogs, mainly Suya and his 24/7, always lustful harem. Yup, she’s blaming Suya for not keeping his pets on a tight leash. “When I reveal myself, everyone is grounded for centuries.” Umbria enters the room quietly as possible, noticing a human peeking through the broken walls to watch the couple next door. Finally, the human realized her presence and tried to form a deal-Umbria only smiled. “I don’t make deals with perverts.” She steps into the room and closes the door behind her.

She dashes behind the human, wrapping her arms tight around her waist and pulling her close. Feeling her back against her chest, “Oh? But blood messes are so much fun.” She purred in her ear, grabbing her by the throat. Umbria tilts her head to expose the side of the neck facing her, giving it ruttish kisses along the surface of her skin. “I can hear your heart racing, little mouse. Are you,” she trails her fingernail over her trachea, wanting the human to believe that she’s going to slice it open, “nervous? Is this your first time offering your blood?” Umbria trails the tip of her nose along her neck and down to her collarbone. She used her teeth to move the other’s shirt down to expose more of her skin and teasingly nipped at her skin. She only left a mark, not deciding to spill blood. Yet. “Hmm,” she stifled her laughter, a satisfying hum in her throat, “I like how you taste. I’ll be keeping you.” She twirls the human around, and now they’re facing each other. Umbria’s violet eyes glimmer with amusement, placing both hands on her cheeks, “Umbria Septimus.” She folds her arms lazily on the other’s hips, “That’s my name. Now,” she squeezes the tightness of her arms and tugs her close, “tell me yours.” To mess with her more, she trails one of her hands upwards to her mid-back.

Without waiting, she picked her up and threw her over her shoulders. “If you kick me or anything similar to that. I’ll toss you into the Vampire Viper pit.” Umbria carries the human outside the room, taking her out into the halls. “Also, I wouldn’t scream. Some of these vampires hunting senses get trigged by screaming.” It’s unclear if she was joking or telling the truth. I mean, it could be true. Umbria doesn’t know how these children (yes, they’re children to her) hunt. She’s been busy with endless paperwork and keeping her race from going extinct. “Come on, mouse. I’ll keep you safe from these big, evil bloodsuckers you hate with a passion.” She’s acting like a kid finally getting candy from the local candy shop, which is funny because Edrys was eye candy, but she wasn’t that big into her. Isolabella was the only woman for her, and no man or woman will ever beat that. Although she’s in a new body, her heart still adores her beloved Tulips, but they’re not together, which saddens her. Umbria will have a bit of fun and then reveal herself. She doesn’t want to die again so soon, so it’s best to keep everything a secret. “Hey, Mouse, you’re heavy for your size. Do you know that?”

Finley Neil Blake | 526 | M | Gray-Demisexual Ambi | Low Lord(Hypnosis) | Mentions; Harper(Dir), Quill(NPC/Ind), Ava(Ind+Dir), Tatsuya(Ind), Other Vampires(Ind).

Meeting Outfit; https://postimg.cc/gallery/9j73117

--

Finley stared Ava down as she let go of the blood gifter, Harper… Well, more so she shoved them away. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes, still rather focused on making sure the vampire didn’t change her mind suddenly.

--

She walked over to him, and though he certainly didn’t care much at all, the hair on the back of his neck stood on edge thinking about all of the germs that could possibly cover her. It was more annoying than anything, maybe slightly uncomfortable due to that but… Well, Finley was guessing. Emotions were not his strong suit.

--

Ava chuckled, smirked, and patted his shoulder. He resisted the urge to lean away from the touch, if only to get her germs off of his suit. She turned and began leaving. Finally. But then she stopped, and glanced at him, smiling. And then at Harper, pupils slitted and then gone and then back to normal.

--

Oh~. You can't save them all.

--

And she turned, leaving with a wave. As soon as Ava was out of the room, out of sight, Finley rolled his eyes and huffed. “As if I would try to save all of them…” And he wouldn’t, that was for certain. This was merely a fluke, the one time that he would ever involve himself in the life of another vampire and their blood gifter.

--

He looked over at Harper, “Before you… Hug… Me again for saving you, from what truly would’ve been certain death as Lady Cadieux does not keep victims with enough blood to stay alive… I do expect you to follow along with the idea that you are my personal blood gifter now. If there is another vampire that wishes to feed from you, let me know first so that I may judge their character for you. With that said, is there anything you need to know or would like to ask?

--

As he spoke, Finley moved towards the kitchen area, looking through it for something to clean the bloodstain on his jacket with. Only to come up with nothing. His eyes narrowed, he sighed, and began searching for a rag and a source of water. He’d simply wash the counters again then, make sure they were still in good condition and looked nice.

--

He kept an ear out for once Harper left their surely shocked state and began asking questions as he cleaned the counters again. The repetitive circular motion of cleaning them was rather calming, especially as the moonlight shone through the eroded roof of the room and the crumbling opening that led to the balcony. Even with the monochromatic scale of grays around him, that Harper didn’t have to deal with, he was certain of the beauty of the room. He wasn’t sure what it had been, but it was certainly a nice room. Perhaps he could ask at the meeting. He most likely wouldn’t, there were more pressing matters to attend to there.

--

Just as he finished the counters a small voice in the back of his mind began speaking. Smooth, confident, and though exceptionally in his own mind. Another high tier Hypnosis then, no doubt, most couldn’t even breach his fortified mind.

--

The meeting will commence in five minutes. Head to the underground meeting room, all are expected to be there in attendance. Blood-Gifters that are here are also expected to attend, as there will be a discussion on their welfare and future. No squabbles or petty arguments between classes will be tolerated. This is orders from your Grand Duke, you would do well to obey them.

--

He felt the persuasive power within it, felt that he should go ahead and go with it… Finley didn’t move. He glanced at Harper, at the bloodstain on his jacket, at the door that Ava had walked through, and back towards the cabinets he had just finished cleaning. The bloodstain was going to be quite annoying, and the counters were not shining yet. He should have made that Quill vampire get rid of the stain, and then force him to clean the counters for him. With a huff, he straightened to look at Harper.

--

We can discuss questions on the way to the meeting, Harper. Follow along now, I would prefer not to upset Grand Duke Montcrioux.

--

And with those words, he forced his feet to take him out of the room, looking back at Harper only once to make sure they were following along and would not be left in the room alone. Where Ava could easily come back and take control of the situation.

Harper Carnell | 21 | Genderfluid (she/him) | Pansexual Ambi | Blood-Gifter

M: Finley + Ava (dir) Rosa (ind)

Lady Cadieux’s strong fingers that could easily snap Harper’s neck gently coursed through Harper’s hair to tuck the longer locks behind her ear, causing her to shiver involuntarily. It was somewhat reassuring in a way, falsely allowing Harper to believe that maybe, if Lady Cadieux did not listen to the man-in-white, she might be gentle with her and actually allow Harper to live. It was a nice fantasy, but she also could tell that this vampire was the type to drain all life from her blood-gifters, metaphorically and literally.

Harper could feel her breath on his neck, the quiet sound of her vampire teeth descending, and— as Harper’s heart started to beat faster from anticipation of the feeling, Harper was pleasantly surprised when he was not bit. Was it okay? Did the man-in-white save Harper again? Was Harper free? The answer to the last question was a definite no as Harper’s heart rate increased yet again as her nails dug into his skin and Lady Cadieux pulled him back further. The wait was killing Harper. He did not care if the woman took a huge bite out of him, he just wanted her to do something so this tension would subside.

“We'll surely meet again,” Lady Cadieux whispered in her ear as she shivered yet again from her breath on her ear and from the dread of not knowing when she would return. Before Harper could make some semblance of a response, Harper was shoved to the side, releasing a small sigh as her wobbly legs did little to nothing to support her shivering body.

It was not the fear of death but waiting that caused Harper to zone out so much that Harper almost missed when the man-in-white spoke to him. Harper did not care if he was unable to hear whatever the man before him had to say so long as he could bring the woman back in the room and allow her to drain his blood so he would not have her threat looming over him like a storm cloud that holds back its lightning for the perfect time to strike. Harper did not run back to her, however, solely because he valued whatever the man in front of him had to say too much.

Having learned her lesson from last time about no hugging, especially with the addition of the first few words the man actually said to Harper, Harper bowed her head and muttered, “thank you,” under her breath a few times, rolling onto the back of her heels and clicking the toes of her boots together as she picked at the skin by her nails. Harper kept her head bowed, only nodding passively when he remarked that Lady Cadieux would have most definitely died had she allowed the Lady to feast on her.

However, Harper did perk up at the fact that Harper was now being made this man’s personal blood gifter.

“Wha-What?” Harper was taken aback a bit . The man had not even introduced himself and he was already… Well, Harper was sure this was not the first time that, upon first meeting, vampires have said that they wanted to keep Harper to themself and have grown angry if Harper spent time with other patrons if it was a party or a business meeting. Although it would make it a bit harder to get tips or a job in general if he would have to go ask Finley about every vampire who comes over to him at the meeting, it was better than other vampires who did not allow Harper to interact with others at all.

Anyways. Questions.

“Well, uhh… okay I think this one is an obvious first question to ask so…,” Harper muttered, thinking aloud as Harper followed closely at the man’s heels, “I would like to know your name. I think you heard my name when… Quill… so I think it is only fair that I get to know your name!” Harper huffed, nodding in affirmation with their own statement. Harper’s tone quickly softened up as they let up a soft chuckle. “It’s Harper. I know it’s super forgetful so I cannot blame you if it slipped your mind. And I use she/him please.” Pushing himself onto the counter space with no blood on it, Harper began thinking about other questions that were necessary to ask. “And another two questions! How do you like your blood givers to dress and act? What type of blood do you prefer: calm, fearful, or lustful?” Harper paused briefly, tapping a finger to his chin thoughtfully. “I feel like I should be asking more questions, right…? Okay how abooooout… what is your favorite book?” Harper heard the sentence he said out loud and instantly shook his head, waving his bloody hand around as his other hand attempted to hide his face. “No, no! That’s a stupid— Forget I asked that one.” Harper glanced at his bloodied hand before looking back at Finley with a nervous chuckle, feeling bad for looking messy in front of company even if that company, Lady Cadieux, was trying to potentially kill Harper. “Actually is there something I could clean my hand off with before the meeting? Oh! That reminds me! Do you—”

Noise, noise, noise!

Before Harper could finish another question, Harper’s whole body went tense as an overpowering voice drowned out all thoughts in her brain like a whirring siren suddenly went off and was doing its best to make Harper’s ears bleed. Harper was trying her best not to look pathetic in front of her savior but the voice was so powerful and overwhelming that Harper instinctively attempted to block out the sound by covering her ears even though normally she would have the basic knowledge to know this would not help. With how susceptible Harper was to Hypnosis vampires, Harper could not help but want to claw her ears out in an attempt to stop the voice from speaking.

Noise, noise…

Silence.

Sighing shakily, Harper slid off the counter and nodded to whatever the man said, not sure what he even said exactly but being smart enough to know that it was best just to nod and pretend he heard. The man started to walk away and Harper instantly followed at his heels like the dogs with the crow lady.

As they walked through the castle maze, Harper thought about how the man was cleaning up all the blood and started to feel bad. It was all of Harper’s blood so it was her responsibility. She had only been serving him for a few minutes and Harper was already failing to do her job. No, no, no, no! Being his blood-gifter was supposed to repay the man in front of her, not put more responsibility on him! Harper’s heart sped up like a humming bird’s. She could make it up to him still? Yeah…, Yeah, she totally could still make it up to the man!!

“Hey… uhh… I noticed the stain on your suit still is not going away?” Harper stopped briefly to dig through his bag before pulling out a pen with a brush on the end and extending it to the man. “This should make it better.” Harper paused before speaking more slowly with his head ducked. “I bought it from the radio.” That was false. Harper made the formula himself which worked incredibly well, but in order to keep the appearance and persona that most vampires liked, dumb and innocent, Harper gave answers that most preferred to hear.

Aziz Sarimurod Botir | 122 | M | Gray-Ace Androbiromantic Ambi | Divine General/High Harem(Golden-Shadow) | Mentions; Eugene(Ind/Dir), Juliet(Ind), NPC Blood Thrall, NPC Vampires, Open.

Outfit; https://postimg.cc/gallery/RvwJgYL

--

Aziz stepped into the room with clicks marking his every step. As a shadow class, he could’ve made them silent, could’ve had his entire body engulfed by shadows that would disguise him and keep his victim unaware of him. Could’ve but he didn’t. It was a show of power, in some ways, the beginning of breaking one’s will. After all, a shadow to be in a physical form is weaker, and for one to choose that fate? All it shows while under the mercy of said shadow, was that they had no doubt in their mind that they could easily take on an opponent without it.

--

So his heels clicked, he walked slow, his posture straight and confident, and with light reflecting from his staff. His oh so beautiful staff that wasn’t made of shadows. Yet another show of power, him indirectly telling victims that they were not worth him using his ability on them. It was a beautiful idea, and the staff was indeed handsome.

--

The golden staff was long, from where it stood on the ground to the very top it was about 5 feet and 8 or 9 inches tall. His hand curled around it with ease, directly where an indent laid for him to hold. The space for his hold was rather long, given that his height would fluctuate based on… Several factors, some of which being more fun than others. But for now, he was at about the three-fourth waypoint for it and standing at around 5’7” or 5’8” in his heels. There was also an indent near the bottom of the staff, so that long distance was no trouble. The rest was smooth.

--

At the top of the staff, at around the 5’6” mark for it, the staff’s decorative top sat. The smooth gold ended in a pawn chess piece, a homage to one of his favorite mind games. A homage to himself, and to everyone around him that was of lower rank than his Lord, his King. his Emperor, his Savior. Right below the chess piece, coming out of the side of the staff and leading up and over the chess piece to the opposite side to reconnect, was more smooth gold. Like a sun outlining the centerpiece. Hanging from different places on the outline though, were dangling roman numerals. XII, 12, hung at the top above the pawn, and I, 1, hung a little away from that going clockwise. The roman numerals continued clockwise, each stationed where they would’ve been stationed on the clock. I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII. Yet another homage to a favorite spiel of his, about how the time his victim lives means nothing at all in the long term.

--

Aziz stopped walking a few feet away from his knowing victim. A human that had desired, had chosen to become a Blood Thrall, the lowest of ranks, and then hadn’t surrendered their entirety to their vampire. Their owner. That had been of rather high rank, as well. Normally, it would be up to the vampire to punish a disobeying mortal… The vampire wouldn’t be alive for much longer though, his Lord was supposed to tend to them. However unlikely that it was right at this very moment. So Aziz was to tend to their past Blood Thrall, and either break them before they went to serve a new vampire or simply kill them.

--

Simply killing them was no fun though, the expressions they had when he broke them were much more entertaining. So, he stared the mortal down, and lifted their chin using the pointed bottom of his staff in order to meet the human’s eyes. A dull, frightened brown stared back at him. Wide and scared. There was absolutely nothing special about this mortal, brown eyes and hair, clipped short, with average features. Nothing exciting, whatsoever. The fear was enticing however, and he intended on making sure it was the only thing left by the time he was finished. None of the slight hints of curiosity that were beginning to poke through as Aziz stared at them. Nothing but fear and unending loyalty.

--

The pointed end while lifting had created the smallest of punctures, a small ring of red at their throat. Should Aziz silence them for good? It was an option. But first… Well, he rather enjoyed the conversation when some would try to argue.

--

So, he moved the staff back to standing against the ground, not once bothering to mask the sound of it. “So… I assume that… you know why you’re here…

--

The human’s eyes widened and his head shook, the eyes betrayed them. Disobedience this early was no surprise, but it was annoying. “No?… You don’t?…

--

He paused for a mere second before continuing. “Allow me to enlighten you then… You… Are here… Because you… Do… Not… Matter… Isn’t that fun?…

--

The human’s pupils shrunk, opening their mouth in order to try and argue. His staff’s pointed end went to their cheek, laying there, blood coming to the top of where the point rested. “Did I… Give you… Permission to speak?…

--

He kept the staff in place, stared the human down. “Well?… Did I?…

--

The human shook their head, fear in their eyes, he kept the staff in place as they shook their head. It pierced and went through their cheek. Pain shot into the eyes, residing and mixing with the fear. Much better. Aziz pulled the staff away again.

--

He turned the staff so that the pointed end was facing him, and licked some of the blood off with his tongue, a slight sting at his tongue due to the point. He basked in it, he turned it over again, the golden numerals clinking against the rest of the gold staff. The flavor wasn’t anything interesting.

--

He looked at the human, narrowing his eyes. “There really is… Nothing about you… That is enticing at all… No reason to keep you around… Especially with all the… Disobedient behavior… Should I kill you?…

--

The human looked like they wanted to shake their head, wanted to plead, they kept still. “I suppose not… It seems as though you can learn… To be obedient instead… Why else would one want you?… You do not matter… You do not have anything interesting to offer… Your blood is bland… Your appearance is average… And your personality is horrid… It seems to me that you do not deserve to live… Do you want to live?…

--

No answer. Their eyes held fear and pain, sorrow. Good. Aziz smiled, a small smile. “You came to us… Didn’t you?… You chose to come here… You wanted to give your being to us… You knew that meant you lost all freedom… And then you disobey… And no excuse is good enough… If your owner ordered it… You would allow them to kill you… Your life means nothing… Your only quality… That could possibly save you… Is your fear… Your respect… Your complete submission… Without it… You are nothing

--

He turned and began walking away. A good start to breaking someone’s mind. His heels clicked, he turned and looked back at the mortal. “Do not expect food… I will decide whether you earned it or not after every meeting… You have not yet… The blood proves that…

--

And without another word, Aziz left the holding area of the mortal, and entered one of the lower hallways in his Lord’s manor. His small grin and glinting eyes betrayed how much he had truly enjoyed the event, even while his tone had stayed sincere and condescending the entire time. He walked through the hallways, beginning his ascent up a flight of stairs only for a rather frightened Gold Blood vampire to see him and stop the speed walk(near sprint) they were in.

--

Ah! Uh! Divine Lord Aziz, there you are! Golden-Emperor Eugene is-

--

The slap to the face with the pointed end of his staff was enough to silence the disrespectful vampire in front of him. They seemed to realize their mistake immediately though, and bowed in apology. “Permission to state my case, Divine Lord?

--

Aziz’s small grin disappeared, not because his joy was gone per say, but because something had happened to his Emperor, his Savior. “Permission granted…

--

Another bow, they stood up straight. “Divine Lord Aziz, Golden-Emperor Eugene has been made upset by a Low Knight. I was told to find you, General Aziz, by an upper rank with the reasoning that you would know how to soothe Our Golden-Majesty.

--

Aziz nodded, “Prepare a batch of snickerdoodle cookies for Our Golden Liege… And do you know which Low Knight has upset Lord Eugene?…

--

The vampire nodded, “I do, Divine Aziz. It was a Low Knight Gregory Honfroi.

--

Aziz smiled a small smile, “Alert him to stay in his room for the day… Have a Grand Knight watch him… You are dismissed…

--

The fellow Gold Blood vampire bowed, turned, and left to complete their orders. Good. With the cookies soon to be made and the Low Knight soon ready to be dealt with… Aziz turned towards a shadow, he’d rather prefer to get to his Lord, his Savior, sooner rather than later. His Golden Emperor was most likely to be in the throne room by now, wasn’t he? Yes, he supposed that would be most likely.

--

So, with that decided, Aziz stepped into and through the shadow in order to get to the throne room. Stepping out into the aforementioned throne room from the shadow, he immediately saw Lord Eugene, not yet in his throne.

--

My Golden Liege, Emperor Eugene. What is causing the world to burn? What has filled you with such wrath, my Light?” A homage to the sun, a homage to his power, the words picked out specifically for his Lord. He stalked over to his Golden Overlord, still having to look up at him even with the heels on. Aziz certainly didn’t mind, it was another reminder of how great his Emperor was, of how much more power his Savior held compared to him. It was a beautiful thing. A thing that Aziz would never wish to go against. For it was splendid and it was right.

--

Aziz’s posture was one of submission, of obedience, but still holding of power that should anyone walk in would not think him weak. A far cry from his posture while in front of the Blood Thrall from earlier. But of course it was, for he was in the presence of his Lord, his King, his Emperor, his Savior, his Light, his Sun. Burning bright and leading the way. Scorching with anger for now, but soon? There was no doubt that soon he would be warming the planet, allowing those who followed to live, to see, to breathe, to walk under his light.
