Orien | M | Eastern | Hunter | M: Sky Orien could tell they were very close, but apparently Sky knew that even more than Orien did. He flicked an ear back to listening to the female. He immediately stopped and stared into the bush. He took the information, quickly building a game plan in his mind. Since there is just two of them, he decided to go the safe way. He couldn't have either of them getting hurt, especially with winter upon them. "We will scare her until she runs. Then we will wait until she stumbles and then take the opportunity, alright?" Orien whispered, turning to look at Sky. Once he got some sort of okay, he let out a snarl and snapped his jaws in the bush and at the deer. . This was his favorite tactic, too scare the deer to death so whenever he had the chance, that's what he would do. Out of nowhere, the deer's legs flung out of the bush and aimed themselves towards Orien. Luckily he was able to jump out of the way and not get hit. He was tempted to bite that leg but just countinued to snarl as he regained his balance. Soon, the elderly deer came out of the bush, snorting unhappily. Orien began circling the deer, looking for any weakness. It seemed the deer's right back leg was hurt. Once he found the weakness, he was pretty sure he could get the deer to run pretty easily. Orien lunged at the deer's hurt leg and snapped at it before jumping back. The deer stepped to the side and pounded a good front leg to the ground, eyeing both wolves with nervous snorts. |

Makena | F | fox | M: Frost In her sleep, Makena couldnt be sure, but she thought she heard voices. However, she was too tired to wake up and pay attention so nothing came out of it. Then out of nowhere, Makena felt a paw in her side. She jolted awake and flung her head up to look at what the heck was happening. Her eyes met Frost's and she sighed in relief. "You scared me." Makena muttered before listening to Frost. She nodded with a yawn before getting up. She then stretched before picking up the flowers. Just like the last time, she was super careful not to get a drop of it's juice. . After she got the flowers Makena quickly followed behind Frost. After her little nap, she was feeling better now. As she walked, she found herself being curious. The big animal infront of her looked like a wolf, but smelled like something eles. The smell wasn't anything Makena had ever smelled before. She glanced over at Frost before whispering, "What is that wolf like creature? It looks like a wolf but dosent smell like one." Makena hoped he could tell what she said, afterall she had flowers in her mouth. She wasn't too worried though, Frost is smart. |

Shadow & Alha | M & F | Alphas | SFP & SUP | M: Killjoy, Bardou, Laan, SUP(dir), Harry Shadow kept up the pace until they got to the cliff. He paused at the edge, looking for his trail to go down. Finding it, he started that way before coming to a stand still. There was a vibration on the wind. He couldn't hear anything yet but the year with Flame had brought out some of his senses. His ears swiveled as he motioned for the others to be quiet. Finally, a moment later, the sound of wind slicing came. Well, it sounded more like thunder but it was moving. Towards them. He turned where the town was and saw a black machine heading towards them, no above them.
"Get down!" He howled at his patrol before flattening himself against the ground. The wind buffeted around them and the sound of the machine above them drowned out everything else. It was past them in a minute, heading towards the mountains but more towards the valley than the camp. Shadow stood up peering after it before shaking out his fur. Those he hadn't seen before nor did they leave any scent behind. Shaking his head, he said, "Let's keep moving."
Shadow got back to his trail and headed down the steep slope next to the waterfall. A few pebbles would fall down the edge and bounce of the rocks from time to time. Making it to the bottom, he waited for the rest of the patrol before giving them a breather. Wading through the narrow river that would widen downstream, he stopped on the other side before settling into a fast trot towards the dog camp. Shadow let out a low howl, letting Alha know he was on his way.
Upon hearing his howl, Alha perked up. "Everybody come to me. Shadow's on his way. Maybe he'll have instructions that can help us in hunting." Alha called, waiting for her pack to assemble. She had seen Loki disappear from fishing a while ago but she didn't dwell on him. He was probably torturing a poor rabbit or something and she didn't need him challenging Shadow. Once everyone was with her, she looked around for Harry, coming up next to him. Shalah was on her other side scenting the air.
After a few minutes though, her face scrunched up and Alha raised an eyebrow at her. She shook her head before saying, "I smell Shadow but I also smell other wolves too." Alha felt her fur bristle but quickly flattened it, "Alright, nobody panic. If they are with Shadow, he'll keep them in line." She didn't dare finish her thought though. Hopefully.
Shadow pushed through the bushes before coming out at the clearing where he could see the dogs gathered. Upon seeing Alha, he dipped his head to her before walking forward. He sat down in front of her before saying, "At ease. They are here to make a pact with you." Alha flattened her ears before flicking them up again. She whispered to him, "Pact for what?" She had no idea what a pact really was, they never had to do one of those and she looked at Harry worriedly.
Shadow motioned for her to follow him and the two walked off out of hearing range of the two groups. Alha could see her sister looking curiously at one of the wolves and giving a slight smile to the bigger male of the three. Alha recognized Killjoy after a moment, only having a few run-ins with him but she did not recognize the other two. Shadow sat down before saying quietly to her, "This winter season is going to be rough for all of the packs due to the human expansion and migrating herds. My meadow is going to be the prime point of deer hunting and I want to allow all of the packs, including yours to hunt there." He let this settle in and she nodded for him to continue.
"The pact is like a temporary alliance between packs. They will not attack your pack and cooperate in hunts if you would like to join them, and share the territory for prey." Shadow continued before waiting. Alha sorted through the information before nodding, "So it's like a mutual agreement to share territory and basically get along?" Shadow gave her an amused smile, "Yes, in formal terms." Alha smiled before looking back at the wolves, "I suppose we can do that. Although your going to have to teach me how to hunt deer. The best I can do is the occasional rabbit and mouse." She said, frowning.
Shadow chuckled, "I think I can manage that. We'll have to see about today though. Perhaps tomorrow." He said, looking around before asking, "Where's your troublemaker?" Alha flattened her ears, "He disappeared when a fox cackled in the forest. I can only have nightmares of what he might be doing right now." She growled before catching a cold grin on Shadow's face. He caught her looking and returned to his neutral expression, but not before saying, "Good. As long as he's with Frost, they will spring nightmares on the humans."
Alha cocked her head before saying half hopefully, "Just the workers right? Not all of the humans are bad." Shadow sighed, she knew he wouldn't understand. Even though her human left her, she had seen his good side. Not all of the humans were as evil and bad as the ones destroying the forest and the dogcatchers. Shadow frowned at her before shaking his head, "Any of the humans that live on the construction site will get the traps Frost wants to lay out. The townspeople will be safe for the moment. You should be a bit more worried about how to feed your pack right now though."
Alha nodded before looking back over to the groups and taking a breath. "Okay, I'm ready." She said, standing up and Shadow led her back over to the group. He sat down with Alha beside him before introducing them. "Alpha Alha, as you know, this is Alpha Killjoy of the Eastern Pack. These two are Bardou, beta of the Raven pack and Laan, scout of the Raven pack. Bardou. Laan. Alpha Killjoy. This is Alpha Alha of the Strays United Pack." He made the introductions quick before nodding to Bardou and Laan. Alha said, "I agree to the terms of the pact as long as my dogs are allowed to join in the hunt every so often. I would like a warning when you are coming down though in case we are already in the middle of a hunt." |

Comanche and Apollo | Males | Scavengers | SUP | M: SUP, Alha, Killjoy, Shadow, Laan, Bardou. The brothers had been sitting in silence for as long as long as they could muster. Kinda watching Alha to see what she would do or if she would give them something to do. They were itching to explore the area, they wanted to be told to or tell someone first on account of the traps everywhere. Apollo moved a small stick onto Comanche's paw, he looked down at it and flicked it up at Apollo's face. He narrowed his eyes. Both of them looked like they were about to strike. But the older one was faster, crashing ontop of Apollo and placing as many fake bites as he could. He recoiled and ran off, hitting the brakes with a U-turn. Apollo rolled over and bared his teeth. But his tail was wagging. It was like a staredown. "Why'd you put the stick on me?" "Because I could." "But you know I don't like things on my paws." "Exactly." "I think you should get a taste of your own medicine."
"Well, how?" "I'm go-" A howl stopped him short of speaking. Both their heads shot up, looking in the direction of the sound. Their hair on end. Alha's words made them a little calmer, Shadow was trustworthy. Scenting the air they came to the same conclusion, more wolves. Surely Shadow would keep them safe. They neared the woods where the howling was from. They stood there for a while, waiting. Sure enough there he was, and three others. They parted as he came through, giving the wolves a wide berth as they paired up again. Offering a welcome nod to the group of wolves. They sat down, examining these wolves. Shadow of course, he didn't know either of the males but one was holding himself like a leader and the other was almost white and had a limp. His leg was weak it appeared, he'd sat down. There was a female with them as well. With their positioning in the group, she was higher ranked than the one with a limp. As Shadow and Alha moved off, both brothers were examining the others while their Alpha spoke. The brothers exchanged a glance, curious of these wolves. Soon enough the Alpha's returned, introducing Alpha Killjoy, Beta Bardou and Laan, a scout. They nodded again. A bit proud that they'd figured out at least two of their roles. They wondered what Laan was there for, usually its just high ranks for pact things. But at least they were safe with these wolves as well. He wondered if some of them would be willing to teach them to hunt! That thought was very exciting. It didn't sound like it'd be today that hunting would happen but either way. Coman was most excited about hunting deer, it sounded exciting. Kaara seemed anxious, Coman noticed and walked toward her. He laid down in front of her. So she could see Shadow's group but have someone kinda between them. |

Kaara | F | Queen | SUP | M: Comanche, SUP, Alha, Shalah, Shadow's group. Kaara sat up from the sound of the howl. She'd been laying still on her pups. She wanted to keep the pups safe, warm and also see. But she couldn't do that well from her angle. She sighed and picked up one pup, putting him closer to the entrance of the den, then grabbing the other and laying with them. She could smell snow even though it was still sunny. She thought about Alha's explanation. More than just Shadow? Her hair stood on end. Sitting there and waiting for the arrival was nerve racking, she wasn't a fan of wolves but Shadow was ..good. He protected the pack. As scary as he looked. As they entered 'camp' she god a dogs' equivalent to goosebumps. Her eyes examining every wolf quickly but she didn't have that good a view till Shadow and Alha moved. From this angle she couldn't tell that the light grey wolf had a limp. She didn't know about any pack positions for walking honestly. She figured it would make sense once someone explained it, she curled further around her pups, eyeing the wolves and well- eavesdropping on the Alphas who'd walked away. But it was kinda hard, they were being quiet. As they returned things did make sense, she figured scout kinda meant the same thing as scavenger, right? But she didn't know what a beta was. She figured a higher rank though, why else would she be there? Although she wondered where the Raven Alpha was. Couldn't he come? She narrowed her eyes. A pact. Safety. Good. She still stared at them like they would steal her pups either way. |

Icicle | F | Fox | SFP | M: Anya, Talia(ind) Icicle watched Anya, noticing her get it perfectly until a distant howl came. At that point, Anya stumbled before jumping right back to her feet. At her excited question, Icicle paused before nodding, "Yeah s-sure, we can head back. Don't forget though, after sunhigh, you have battle practice with Shadow." She said, reminding the female to make up for her stuttering. The excited look on Anya's face only reminded her that the female did feel better with her own kind.
"You go on ahead, I'll catch up in a bit!" She said, faking a smile with a cheerful tone. Not waiting for the female's response, she turned to scamper into the trees rustling a few branches to make it look like she had hopped off. After a few minutes of staying still, she flopped down on her branch wrapping her tail around her head to mask any trace of sadness. Of course Anya would want to be with her own kind. Wolves could understand each other better together and she had friends in this pack.
That didn't stop Icicle's thoughts of losing a friend. Yeah, it probably didn't matter if the female made other friends, especially among wolves but even with the tentative pact between her pack and the wolf pack, wolves simply didn't like foxes. No matter how hard she wanted to blame a different fox for their reputation, she knew it would stay the same. Icicle sighed, almost growling at Frost in her head. You are trying too hard again. Wolves and foxes can't be friends. Wolves feel safer in a pack. We feel safer alone. Just be glad that us two was lucky and stayed together with Shadow.
Screw you Frost. Icicle jumped down off the tree before padding towards the camp. She had to get back to the cave before those scouts did. Who knows what they would do to a fox in their territory. Icicle got back into camp and scampered up the trail where she found Flame curled up with the pup. Upon hearing her, she flicked an ear before moving away from the pup, sensing that Icicle needed some snuggles. Icicle curled in Flame's place and watched the elder take a place near the entrance, her ears swiveling to take in the new sounds. |

Frost | M | Shadow Forest | M: Makena At Makena's question, Frost flicked an ear before responding quietly around the bundle of thorns, "It's called a dog. Loki is smaller than an average dog due to his mix of breeds but he's still a pretty good size. Most dogs are pets, which is what humans keep in their homes. The humans take care of them like they do each other. Loki is part of the Strays United Pack which is a group of lone strays that survive together after the humans get rid of them." He explained before grinning.
"What I like about Loki is that he likes playing tricks just as much as I do. He knows more about the humans than I do including their routines and such which makes him a great asset to have on this mission. And he doesn't care if hurts humans which is just what we need rather than a soft dog that cares for the humans." Frost continued, resisting the urge to cackle. They were close to the site and Loki was already leading them down an alternate route around the construction site which no doubt would take them straight to their destination. |

The pair increased their strides as they neared the main camp for their pack, glee clear in their features at finally returning home. It was a new home for them, but home none the less. As they drew closer the scents of their pack mates met their nose as greeting, confirming they had reached the right place.
"I wonder if Night is still at his den," Talia voiced aloud, directing the two to slow, her tail swaying behind her calmly. When they came into camp she didn't spy their Alpha immediately and decided to try and find another wolf who might. Swiveling her ears and twitching her nose, the female listened as well as scented, finding both the sound of voices and recent scents coming from a nearby den, the medics she thought.
Trotting over, she waved her tail at Rowan to wait there for her, and poked her head in, trying to be respectful. She kept her eyes down so if there was something there she wasn't supposed to see she wouldn't. "Good Morning," she glanced up for a moment, spying it was Sundown who was present with another wolf she felt she recognized, but couldn't place it, "I'm sorry to disturb you, but have you seen Alpha Night? I would speak with him about our mission." She once again diverted her gaze, not wanting to intrude in case it was something personal going on. Talia had too much respect for medics to try and hinder them, but they were the first wolves they found at arriving.
"Rowan and I have news," she tried to stress the last word so it might be clear she wasn't just trying to be self important. "I was hoping to get back before he left for the morning, but I fear we're too late," her ears flicked back as she silently reprimanded herself for beginning to ramble. |

Anya | F | Member | SFP | M: Icicle and Rowan Even though Anya was very excited, she paused when she realized Icicle had stuttered. She never saw Icicle stutter before, but she seemed okay. She was fine a minute ago too. Maybe Icicle dosent like howling? Cocking her head to one side she spoke slowly, "Okay...but are you-" At that moment Icicle scampered away. Had she done something wrong? She wasn't sure. She wished she could ask Shadow but he was gone. Wait! But Flame knew about foxes too! Wait, another wait, what about the howl she heard? Whatever she was going to do, it needed to be done at camp so she slowly headed back. . As she walked she listened to the calm of the forest. If only life could be calm too. But it wasn't, it was full of mystery. With a sigh, Anya made it up the medic's path. She wasn't sure if she was allowed to use it all the time but she didn't even really know where the main entrance was so she couldn't get in trouble, could she? She highly doubted it but she would still hate to get in trouble. As she reached the top and looked around, her heart about stopped. Rowan!! She knew she heard Tailia's howl! Forgetting all about her worry about Icicle she bounded up to Rowan like a newborn fawn. "Rowan! I knew i heard Tailia's howl! I dont know what your doing here but i dont care!" Anya said, her tail wagging crazily. . Unlike her brother, she didn't jump on or pin others to the ground when she was excited to see them. Instead she would show her happiness by going into a playbow. And that's exactly what she did as she stood infront of Rowan. Anya couldn't believe her long lost friend was right here in Raven camp. That made a question appear in her mind. Did Ash no all along they were here and didn't tell? If he did know, Anya just might have to use the wisdom Shadow teaches her to give Ash a small fight. She would probably loose, but still, Ash could get a small taste of his medicine. Anya then snapped back to reality and focused back on Rowan. Did she mention she missed Rowan alot? Ash | M | Apprentice | Raven | M: Sundown and Tailia Ash's attention got pulled away from Sundown and over to the voice at the den entrance. He immediately recognized the female but it seemed she didn't recognize him. Ash couldn't blame her though, it had been a while since they had seen eachother. If Anya was here right now, she would be super happy. Though, he was still confused on why they were here. "Goodmorning." Ash said, interrupting Sundown for the fun of it. "You just missed alpha Night im afraid. He went off somewhere but im not sure where." He then paused, wondering if he should let the siblings find out on their own or if he should reveal to them that Anya was just beyond camp. . Correction, Anya was now in camp. Ash could practically hear how fast her tail was going. And her voice, it always seemed to squeak when she was excited. A smirk appeared on his face as he peered out the den. He couldn't see her, but he knew she was there. "You might want to go have your little reunion with Anya before she goes crazy." He paused a second, letting Tailia realize what he meant. "Hey Tailia. Im Ash, Anya's brother. It's nice to see you again." Ash said with a smile. He wasn't sure if she remembered him, but he kinda hoped she would, so things wouldn't go akward. |

Makena| F | fox | M: Frost, Loki(ind) and Mist(ind) A dog, interesting. The word dog sounded like a human word, so she wasn't really surprised when Frost said dogs were pets to the humans. Makena had to admit though that Loki could be of use. Still, she wasn't sure what to think of him. He had a wolf like body, and that's what bothered Makena. Atleast she learned to deal with wolves, kind of, so she should be able to get along with him. . Even though she was slightly bothered by their wolf like bodies, she was quite interested in dogs. They seemed mysterious, and that made Makena shiver yet want to know more about them. They seemed like wolves, yet much different. Just then the sent of humans caught Makena's nose, kicking her out of her thoughts. She could tell that they were close now, so she got on high alert as they continued to walk. Her ears were pricked and her eyes darted around. |
