As the female continued as a relaxed walk, her ears flick back towards the musher just in case he called something else out. Instead she heard the sounds of an angry dog. Confident that Tim would not let her walk into anything, she turns her head to see what the issue what. Her sharp eyes scanning the team. She didn't like when the team fought, especially whenever they were in harnesses and on the move, regardless of how fast or slow they were going. She preferred they didn't fight at all, but if there was any time for them to fight, it would be at the rest area. Not while they were still all harnessed up. Zelda's sharp gaze returns to the front as she focuses back on where she was walking.

Reese dips her head slightly, quietly pointing out,"Ruby is the halfway mark. We're halfway through the race." They had made the first half of the race pretty quick, and they, along with the other two teams in Ruby, were among the first few teams. So they were making pretty great progress. Reese notes how Marlen turns her head to look for someone, and as Reese turns her head slightly, she follows Marlen's gaze to Storm who was beside Spike at the back of the team dogs and just in front of the wheel dogs. A small chuckle escapes her lips as Reese focuses back on the front, she too had her eye on someone... |

Keen blue eyes scanned the surroundings, and Duncan couldn't help feeling his heart twist a little. The husky had been hoping that more people would have been watching. Perhaps at the finish line there will be more, he thought, turning back to look at his team. Behind him, he saw Bolt, trotting with his weight against the harness, and gave his fellow Alaskan Husky a nod. Duncan hadn't felt any tug from him; good. The lead dog turned forwards again, watching the path as the turn to the rest area arose, feeling his blue boots against the ground. A stumble from the midsection; Duncan's characteristically stern temper flared, and his head whipped back sharply. The guilty hazel eyes of Diego, one of the team dogs, caught his attention, and Duncan growled low in his throat as he turned forward again. No doubt the poor Siberian Husky would be cowed into submission later.
But, that was a later-Duncan problem. The trail was where he needed to focus, and he pressed against the harness, letting his tongue loll out as he approached the rest stop. Duncan could taste the snowflakes on his tongue, cold as his warm breath puffed into the air. The husky's eyes flicked briefly towards Ksenia, wondering what she thought of Diego's blunder, before turning his focus back towards the path. |

Ares pulled with all his might only to fall losing his balance tripping some of the dogs behind him, including kokanee when Ares hit the males side as he fell. |

She felt the whole team shift, which surprised her, and then she heard snarls and angry growls. Zelda whips her head around, teeth bared. She spots the issue and snaps,"Ares!" She didn't normally get angry, she was pretty level headed, but when it affected the whole team, especially so close to a resting point. She also liked to keep order, order was good and it kept the dogs safe. Chaos wasn't bad either, but in most cases, especially during racing, chaos was not a good thing. "Leave the rabbit alone, get back on your paws, and quit pulling before you hurt someone!" |

Marlen| Female | Retro Rebels| Swing Dog| Siberian Husky| Mentions: Retro Rebels (indirectly) , Ares and Kokanee (directly) Zelda and Amaruq (indirectly)+ OPEN TO ALL Marlen felt a tugg forwards and stumble , she caught herself but Kokanee looked like he had the direct hit. She calmed out " Kokanee you okay?" She felt it was better to not say anything to Ares, considering what had happened with Reese. She realized how little respect she had, she didn't mind and it only slightly bothered her. She turned to Amaruq , a wolfamute but more malamute than wolf unlike Sparta and Chinook who both looked like wolves . Amaruq was black and white with what seemed to Marlen blue eyes, although Amaruq was fluffy and looked cuddly . Marlen knew not to touch him, instead she just slowed her trot into a relaxed walk matching Zelda, the lead dog's pace. |

Sparta| Male| Retro Rebels| Wheel Dog| Wolf X Malmute (Wolfamute) | Mentions: Retro Rebel Dogs+OPEN He padded next to Basil, his loyal wheel dog friend , and for a second he saw Basil in a new light. Then thoughts came to him, thoughts he could process quickly . Can wolf dogs be lovey dove ? Can wolf dogs have feelings towards other dogs? How is that even possible? Do like fireworks go off and boom you have a love heart and a pup ? Ehhhh my brain hurts. That was what it was like in his brain , very few minutes he would think of something then his brain would explode with questions she could process quickly. He slowed down to a relaxed walk and breathed in the air of Ruby. They had arrived. He glanced over at Basil who looked back at Sparta and smiled. At that moment, Sparta did not know what to feel. He air felt like it become lifted snd with it went the emotions from Sparta. That it came thundering down on him, he blinked and smiled back . Then he carried on and awaited for Zelda and Tim to get the command to stop. |

Skadi || Team Dog || Retro Rebels || M: RR Dogs Two rows ahead of her, Ares, one of the swing dogs, suddenly lurched to the left, smashing into Kokanee and aiming for a trapped rabbit. In response, the harnesses on the other dogs moved with him and threw off the slowing rhythm. Dogs began tripping over the ties and their own paws, including Skadi. More so out of surprise, rather than anger, the red female snapped, "Hey! Eyes on the road; that's some human's dinner!" She suspected Ares had been planning to free the rabbit, but that didn't matter. Her nose stung a little from her facefirst dive into the snow, and she was now on three legs as she worked to untangle her fourth. The low, threatening growl of the wheel dog Chinook caused Skadi's hackles to rise and she instinctively flattened her ears. Oh, everyone would calm down once they officially stopped. She would still be avoiding the large wolf-dog, though. Out of Chinook and Sparta, the two half-brothers on the team, she would much rather be around Sparta. He was more lighthearted and... charismatic? Friendly. Friendly was the right word. Chinook was dark and brooding and intimidating, and Skadi steered quite clear of him whenever possible. It was probably safer, that way. |

Sparta| Male| Retro Rebels| Wheel Dog| Wolf X Malmute (Wolfamute) | Mentions: Retro Rebel Dogs+OPEN Sparta padded slowly next to Basil. Basil was a great sled dog; she always made sure Sparta was okay but she also made his brain hurt as she brought many emotions that were complicated even for Sparta's quite intelligent brain. His mouth drooled at the rabbit but did not pull to grab it as Ares and done, he did not want to ruin his representation between the Retro Rebel sled team or the others. Sparta memorized around 2 of the many sled dog teams that were gathering in Ruby for the first checkpoint . Quicksilver Fighters and something like Ghost Legends were the teams that Sparta had tried to me memorize: By now, the wolf hybrid dog had aches which didn't usually happen. It was just an annoying muscle in his back that was all, nothing much...just was twinging occasionally the last couple of sled races. He hoped he would t get stopped and made to sit out by the dreaded veterinarian. He just wanted to stretch snd rest but he had to carry on until Zelda got the message to gradually stop, then he would be free until called back into being attached into his harness and onto the sled. |
