[So, it's been two days and there isn't really much going on, so... *Waves hands dramatically* timeskip magic into lunch] Tyler Winshear/14/Male/Osprey-Smilodon/Mentions: The Group, Open ============================================== The time up to lunch passed painfully slowly. Each class dragged on for what felt like hours, and Tyler knew he hadn't paid any of the teachers even a cursory amount of attention. He had been too hyperfocused on the clock, waiting for lunch to arrive. Because lunch meant planning. Lunch meant getting out sooner. It was hard for Tyler to keep himself restrained. All he wanted to do was stand up, cackle maniacally, and leap out the nearest open window. His hands shook with adrenaline the whole time. Finally, the lunch bell rang, and Tyler was gone. ~ He barely had the patience to grab a tray of cafeteria food from the line, and even then nearly dropped the tray several times in his rush to claim a table. There, in the spider-infested corner of the eating room. It wasn't the most plesant area, but that just meant nobody would come over. Either way, Tyler sprawled himself out just in case, taking up as much space as he could. Tray off to his right for eating, leg kicked over to the left, backpack and schoolwork spread out across from himself. When the others showed up, they could just move the stuff and plotting could happen. In order to make productive use of the time, Tyler ate with his right hand while writing in a composition notebook in the other. Ideas he'd had, supplies they needed, stuff he'd want to have but didn't need, that kind of thing. Tyler had pretty much mapped out several different escape routes on his own already, each wildly different and ready for use in any scenario. ~ They were going to be taking all the cash they could grab, and Tyler knew that he would be stealing a lot from his 'family'. There was a pretty big stash of money hidden under the floorboards that he probably wasn't supposed to know about. But hey, he would need it more than they ever would. At least if he grabbed it, it wouldn't be wasted on booze and drugs. Or, you know, used to fund search parties. There had to be at least a thousand dollars piled in there, and Tyler privately thanked any gods that may or may not be out there that his dad was incredibly paranoid about banks. He'd have to be careful about not spending too much cash in one place, because it was suspicious as hell. A good indicator of being a criminal, right? It was a convinence store, anyway, so there shouldn't be too much to buy anyway. ~ Okay, he'll probably have a good amount of money for them all to use, at least in the beginning, but what should they actually spend it on? Food and water were a definite, non-perishables that were easy to eat and filling. Toiletries and clothing, if there was anything like that availible. Soap, shampoo, spare socks and stuff like that. Some treats too, but they should prioritze what they absoluetly needed. Tyler had been to the store they were planning on hitting up earlier, just to scope out what they had there. Because they were going to run away, Tyler wanted it all to go well. There was a small, tiny camping section. It wasn't anything really good, but he remembered there being some of those solar-powered lanterns and tarps, alongside that fancy heavy-duty 550 cord. There was also things like coolers and reusable waterbottles, which would probably be very useful in the long run. Though getting ice out in the wilds would be hard, at least teh insulated containers could help protect belongings or keep scavenged food fresh a little longer. ~ They'd also need to make sure to bring along their paperwork. Any kind of legal identification they could get their hands on, really. It wouldn't be very useful, but it would probably slow down pursuit and give them a kind of template to work from if they ever needed to get anything forged. Well, if they ever felt like returning to human society. It might be necessary if one of them gets badly hurt, like for hospital vistis and shit. ~ Leyla Vaugn/18/Female/Human/Mentions: Tyler, Open ============================================== First Nicole and Auburn were pulling magic out of their asses, and now one of the kids she was pretty sure was in on the secret group thing was acting like a paranoid cokehead hopped up on caffine and Monster Energy. Something was going down, and Leyla wanted to know what the hell it was. To that effect, she sat at a table close to that twitchy freshman and observed. He was spreading out, to an almost uncomfortable degree. He was trying to keep anyone from sitting nearby. Writing in a book while he shoveled food into his throat, so probably on some kind of time crunch. It was unlikely to be homework because he seemed to be writing in list format. Leyla couldn't read the words from this distance, but each letter was printed small and sharp, like he was trying to save space. A few words got underlined or circled, probably indicating different levels of signifigance. The kid, Tatro? Taylor? Something like that. Anyway, he was pretty obviously tense, with a wild, almost manic aura about him. He was the weird cat dude, right? Leyla was pretty sure he was the cat dude. Apparently he once tried to bite a teacher who tried to wake him up from an in-class nap. |

While it may have looked like Nic was working, she was really just waiting for the lunch bell. Finally, after what seemed like days, the bell rang. Nic walked to lunch at a fast pace, and got annoyed when people around her slowed down. 'People can walk and talk at the same time, you know.' Nic almost said this to a particularly slow group. After Nic had her lunch, she found Tyler sitting in the far back of the room. Nic took a seat opposite Tyler, moving his papers out of the way. One paper caught her eye. "This paper was due three days ago, you haven't turned it in?" Nic then scanned Tyler's list of supplies. "I can bring a small pot for boiling water, or other kitchen supplies, but money might be hard." Nic felt terrible that she couldn't contribute more, but her family watched their money like hawks. |

When she heard the bell, Auburn threw her things into her bag and rushed to her next class. - ~*~ magic timeskip to lunch ~*~ - Auburn rushed into the lunchline, successfully scoring a spot near the front of the line. Once she got her lunch (a turkey sandwich with mayo), she began to scout out the table where the group would meet. Seeing the table in a far corner, already occupied by Nic and Tyler. She speedwalked over to them taking a seat against the wall. "So, have we gone over our plans to get the hell out of here?" She mentally rehearsed her plan. First she would set an alarm on her phone for 4:00 AM, quiet enough to not wake the snoring jackasses in her house. Then she would throw all of her needs into a backpack, and grab another backpack for all the extra shit she would need. Then she would sneak into Snoring Jackass No. 1's room and steal the safe key. Then she would sneak into the kitchen downstairs and unlock the safe containing the key to the shed. She would then quietly make her way out to the shed, careful to not set off the motion-activated lights. After successfully unlocking the shed, she would slip inside and grab the shoebox filled with cash. She had counted out the money before, and it amounted to about $2k. After successfully retrieving the money, she would throw her stuff onto her back, get on her bike, and pedal until she reached the corner store.Then, she would go inside and grab her necessities before the group got there, so it wouldn't seem suspicious. |

It was the time. Time for a big plans! Kimberly came to the cafeteria soon after her classmates. Although the queue would be much more smaller for her if she came earlier, girl had to make sure that she brought something much more important. Money.
. Kim took about one hundred dollars with her. These were all the savings she had managed to get over the course of several years. However unrealistic it may sound, this was what her situation looked like. Whiteheart had never liked to talk about this type of things; how much pocket money she gets and what she spends it on. Or on what she doesn't ... .
To be honest plump girl hadn't decided yet if she wants to donate it to the gang. It wasn't like she was greedy or skimpy. Kimberly wasn't just sure if she was going to go with them. And if she would stay she would need that amount for some private investment. . When she entered the cafeteria there was a big crowd and chaos. However, Kim managed the table in the corner occupied by waiting for everyone few members of their group. She ran there with a happy smile on her face. "Greetings guys! Sorry if you were waiting for me too long. Let's say... I had to do something before I got here." Unknowingly she touched the pocket in her orange dress where was the money. However, she quickly realized it and, in order to not be suspect, girl sat down at the table. She hadn't heard what Auburn asked Nic and Tyler. |

Nic had to hold back a laugh at Auburn's excitement. "You and Tyler with all the plans. Relax, everything will be fine." Then Kim joined the table. Something was off about Kim today. The way she apologized for being late, the way she reached for her pocket, or the way she quickly sat down one she realized she was reaching for her pocket. Nic let Auburn and Tyler chat, and leaned over towards Kim. "Hey, you ok?" |

He still had styrofoam from a science project stuck all over him when he sat down with Nic, Kim, Auburn, and Tyler. He ran a hand through his rumpled hair to straighten it out and brushed off the styrofoam from his sweatshirt, and looked at the others. "Sorry I'm late, had to finish some details in art." he said. "So, what's the plan?" he asked, trying to get up to speed. |

Auburn watched as Eric jogged to the table to sit with them. He quickly apologized and asked about their escape plan. "Tomorrow, we're gonna wake up early, around 4AM before our families wake up, grab whatever it is your gonna grab, get out the door, get down to the corner store as quick as possible, and then we'll do a headcount and make sure we;ve got everything we need, and then we'll head into the woods, travel for a few days, and once we get out of state, we set course for the Rocky Mountains. Got it?" |

He got enough weird looks from his freakish height here without people knowing he's part animal. "Can't wait to get out of here." he muttered, watching as another group walking by gave them a weird look. "Never had the guts to go alone though....glad you all are coming with me." he said with a small smile. |

"Well, we probably wouldn't get very far on our own. I guess that's why we stuck together for so long." She sighed, thinking about how great life would be once they reached this place she had only heard about in one of her weird dreams. Therius, it was called. She thought about the tall trees, air cleaner than any air on Earth, and wildlife like no Earth animal she'd seen. Unicorns, dragons, cute little foxes that had two or more tails that made the most terrifying screeches when they're happy! Auburn couldn't wait. Nervously, she reached for her switchblade, and brought it out under the table, rubbing the black handle that she had carved and painted herself. It was a weird and comforting habit of hers. |

Eris raised one eyebrown, giving a small smile. "A little excited, are we?" he said, noticing her doing her strange little habit. Nervous butterflies entered his stomach. He'd never left this place before, so he didn't know what the outside worl would be like. Mind you, he'd probably had all the freedom to leave, but he couldn't leave them here by themselves, not could he go on his own. He fiddled with one of the feathers hanging in his face, and he quickly pulled the loose feather out. It was probably about time for him to start molting a bit now. He only partially molted, though, so it was never all his feathers at once, which he was grateful for. He twirled the red feather with black patterns absentmindedly in his hands. He leaned back with a sigh. He would finally leave his annoying little sister and cruel parents. |
