Adaline I Female I Second in Comand I Mentions: Ben

Adaline grinned as she finished skinning the cougar. She was excited to go on a stroll with Ben. She had never had time for herself and she was actually very thrilled to do something for herself for once. She rolled the pelt up into a roll. She wondered what to do with it. Well whatever it it was it would have to dry first and be tanned. She strung it up on a tanning contraption, looking at it and shaking her head. She glanced at Ollie's tent, rolling her eyes in annoyance as it had holes in it.

"Lazy bastard." She mumbled, walking past his tent and into hers. She hated being in her tent, but she needed to put on some clean clothes. She grimaced, remembering she needed to wash her shirt. She also glanced at her shoulder, which still had some of the blood plastered on it. She needed some water to wash it off, the rain wasn't working well enough. She grabbed a bucket she had set out next to her tent and brought it back into tent. She used it to first atttempt to wash the stain out of her shirt, which barely did anything. She gave up, throwing the wet shirt across the room in her annoyance.

She decided to clean her shoulder off first before doing anything else. She finished cleaning it off then debated going and getting the dead horse's saddle. Her tent was a complete and utter mess. For all she did for the gang, she never seemed to spend that much time on herself. She didn't like it anyway, she had no hobbies or intrests other than taking care of the gang, hating her brother and riding.

She decided to wait to go out after the horse saddle and wait for Ben, then they could do something together. She wondered what to wear. She never had any nice fancy clothes. It was just her everyday clothes. She grabbed her dark burgundy red shirt, as her others were unwashed or stained. She put on her other pair of pants, tucking her dark red shirt into them. She put her half-chaps this time, making sure they were done up correctly. She actually grabbed her hairbrush and took the time to brush the knots out of her long hair. She left it down, mostly because she was too lazy to braid it herself. And it looked okay in her opinion. Her hair had stayed wavy from the braid it had been in for a few days and would keep its form as it dried slowly. She decided to put both of her gunbelts on and leave her repeater this time. No need for her to carry it around when she wasn't hunting. She sat on her makeshift bed, deciding to jsut wait there instead of in the rain.

(Doing Connor here)

Sameen | Female | Mentions: Amber (for like one paragraph)
~~~
"yeah I'm fine.." Sameen replied uneasily as she stood, reaching to grab her Navy Colt, putting it back in the holster. She went over to Wildfire and started feeling his legs. Since the coyotes were nipping at him she wanted to make sure he was okay. "They didn't get ya huh?" Sameen asked as she patted his legs down. Sameen winced as she mounted Wildfire, one of the coyotes had bit her leg, and got her good to, but she managed to hide that from Amber.
~~~
Once situated in the saddle she replied to Amber once more, "yeah we should get going, it's probably gonna rain much harder." Sameen clicked her tongue urging Wildfire into a trot towards camp.
~~~
By the time they reached camp Sameen's leg started to hurt a lot more, and the blood was semi noticeable. She winced as she dismounted Wildfire landing on her hurt leg. She led him over towards her tent, planning on untacking him. I wonder if anyone aside from Amber noticed I was even gone. Sighing Sameen started to untack Wildfire, feeling around his legs to make sure she hadn't missed anything. I kinda feel bad leaving him out in the rain.. oh well She stroked his neck and scratched his ears before heading into her tent to get out of the rain.
~~~
"Now to find some clean clothes and anything to stop this bleeding.." she murmured as she dig around her messy tent. She reached under the cot she slept on and pulled out a pair of jeans, well they are clean.. now to find a shirt.. "I really need to clean this place!" Sameen huffed, her clothes were wet and she really needed to find a clean shirt. "I know I have one somewhere.."
~~~
After awhile she found a dark grey shirt, "well it's better then nothing.." She quickly changed, then set her mind to cleaning her tent. She did not feel like going out into the rain yet. She pulled the blankets up on her cot, and made the pillow look nice. Looks okay.. Sameen placed her hat on the small table in her tent, and grabbed her rifle to lean it against the table.
~~~
"Now this looks more organized!" Sameen observed, feeling quite proud of what she had done. "I feel slightly hungry.." Well that was normal as she hadn't eaten since that morning. Sameen thought back to that morning and noted how her plans had completely changed all due to being suprised by some coyotes. "Wish I could've brought back some food Atleast.." She murmured feeling slightly disappointed. "Oh well what's done is done.."
~~~
Sameen ran her fingers through her matted braid, she never bothered to brush her hair much, but right now she wished she had her hairbrush to redo the braid. Lost that awhile ago.. She had almost forgotten about her leg, since it had stopped hurting for a bit. It still hadn't stopped bleeding though. "It's going to bleed through my only clean pair of jeans Crap!" Sameen rushed to find something but couldn't. "Might aswell just leave it, it already did damage," She sighed looking down at her jeans. This day couldn't have gone worse.. She thought, feeling annoyed out how terribly it had actually turned out.
Jesse Flores | Male | 26 | Member | Mentions: Diamond, Slicker, Ollie (Indirectly)
He looked over at Diamond and smiled a little as some raindrops dripped from his nose. "Hey Dia! Yeah, tell me about it, started pourin' while I was out with Scamp," he told the female with a chuckle. He'd wasn't too close to the female, they'd simply not spent that much time around each other but he did want to get to know her better.
He turned his head when he heard Slicker calling out his name and he grinned a bit at the slightly shorter male, "Hey there Slicker. Oh that spoiled horse is happy now, had to bribe him with an apple just so he'd let my hat go," he chuckled.
Jesse looked over at the palomino and reached out a little, stroking her muzzle a little, before stating "Why wouldn't she like my Scamp? He's simply the best."
When Slicker swiped his hat, he ran his fingers through his wet hair, getting it out of his face. "Oh wow Slicker, I don't think I can let you leave camp looking like that, the ladies would flock around you and steal you from me, I'd be so lonely~," Jesse said with a pout before grinning at him. He liked Slicker, always had, the man was always fun to be around, he rarely got bored around him and he didn't understand why people like Ollie didn't like him, but then again, Ollie didn't seem to like anyone at all, only his books.
"I've been starving since I woke up, so you can bet I'm ready for food, but first, let me get changed, as Dia here so kindly pointed out, I look like a wet dog," he chuckled before looking at Diamond and adding, "Have you eaten yet? You should eat with us otherwise."
Vera | Female | 26 | Member | M: Lotte (Dep), Conner (Dep), Slicker (Ind) + Everyone (Ind)
Vera honestly didn’t expect Lotte to continue talking to Vera. All Vera wanted was to compliment her cooking because, honestly, Lotte deserved a lot of compliments for getting everything ready every morning. Not many people thanked her, which was a sad thing. Lotte might be all sweet and friendly, but she works just as hard as anyone to help. Probably harder than anyone, now that Vera thought about it, because who in the hell could put up with the smell of the gang’s wretched, sweaty clothing? Just like Adaline, Vera gives her respect to Lotte. Even though Lotte couldn’t fight, she showed promise in her agility and intelligence as well. Any of those pieces alone deserved some respect for her. Lotte drags her weight and more despite not having much strength to pull all that weight. Part of Vera wanted to ask Lotte if she would train with her, but Vera didn’t want to be awkward and ask. She barely knew the words she would have to say in order to even ask that of Lotte.
That’s when Lotte started to say something about Vera asking Connor to eat with her, when she said no such thing.
¿Yo hice?” Vera asked softly with a mouthful of food still in her mouth, tilting her head a bit until Lotte whispered to her. Oh, well that explained it. She swallowed down her food before nodding slightly and looking at Conner. “¡Ah, si si si! ¡Yo hice!” Realizing Conner probably didn’t understand her, she used her fork-free hand to politely tap the spot next to her. “Sit, sit! Eat up, calaca. Food good to eat and good for you!”
Vera had to strain her neck to look up at the man. But despite his height, he was skin and bones like half the people at the camp. You would have thought he was a walking corpse with his paler skin and bony body. How he was as pale as he was in the heat and skinny as he was and hasn’t already passed out since she’s known him, she’ll never know. It was a wonder to her how any of them were still alive. For a comparison, Vera’s arms were three times the width of Connor’s. With that in mind, this just made her want to train the people at the camp a bit more. While she agrees it is good to be agile, it takes some leg muscle to make that agility more effective and at least some arm and upper body muscle to use it in a fight. Vera didn’t know if Connor was attempting to be more agile or if his goal was to pass out in the heat of the sun.
“Ah, you play cards? Poker?” Vera questioned, miming a card deck with her hands. “Slicker always beat me. He cheat I tell you! How do I beat him, ah? How do I beat him?” Vera threw her hands up in frustration before resting her chin on the table and glaring at her bowl of venison. “¡Lobo… el es un looobo! He always has a trick up his sleeve even when he don’t wear sleeves!! I am going to punch him up one of these days I swear it!” Vera sat up with a huff. Vera placed her elbow on the table and rested the side of her face in her palm. She shoveled another scoop of food in her mouth with an angry pout. “He does nothing but cheat. Do you know how to play? I gotta learn how I can defeat him! He took my dried fruit I was saving, that estúpido!”
Ben| Male| Member| Mentions: Adaline and Roxie|
Ben got changed into a loose white cotton shirt, he put a fancy black coat over the shirt and put some clean black pants on. Ben decided he would leave his hat off for this occasion so he put it on to of the stack of books. Ben looked in a tiny mirror to make sure that his hair looked okay, as usual it wasn't tangled.
Ben poked his head out of his tent, the rain was started to slow down, but it was still sprinkling a bit. Ben sighed, he wanted to go on his walk with Adaline right then. Ben sighed and went back into his tent, he was bored.
Ben decided that while he waited for the rain to stop he would go and try to apologize to Roxie. Ben stepped out of his tent and nervously walked over to Roxie's tent, he poked his head in the tent. Ben saw Roxie sitting down in her tent. Ben sat down next to her and he stayed silent for a few moments. "Hey uh, I'm sorry for what happened..." Ben said as he looked over to Roxie. "I don't know why I didn't try and save you..." Ben said "Well I hope you can forgive me." Ben said as he got up, he walked out of the tent.
Ben walked back to his tent and he pet his horse, Whisling Bird "Hey girl..." Ben said to his horse as he continued to pet her. He loved his horse, she reminded him of the horse his mother gave him when he was a young boy. Whisling Bird was a good horse, and Ben loved her.
[ Roxie Sweet ]
| Female | Member | Mentions: Ben, Ollie, and Adaline (Indirectly) |
-
Roxie watched as Ben retreated from her tent. She was completely dumbfounded. Did he seriously just walk into her tent say sorry and walk out again?
“There's no way in hell I’m accepting that ridiculous excuse for an apology!” She yelled to no one in particular. She laid on the floor of her tent a few minutes before getting up. “Nevermind him. It's about time I went to see about Ollie.” She slid off her sweater and took off her muddy shirt, replacing it with a newer and cleaner white one. She then put back on her boots and strode out her tent towards a farther edge of camp where Ollie’s tent was. She didn’t even try to knock. She bared right inside. “Hello there Ollie! Having a good day?” She asked brightly.
Ollie was laying on the floor of his tent in the corner. He didn’t even open his eyes when she came in. “What is it this time…” He grumbled, turning himself over to face the wall. Roxie sighed and sat herself down by the entrance. She looked up at the tent’s roof where it was leaking. “Are you ever going to fix those? It’ll start flooding in here if you don’t ya know.”
“It never bothered me before so I might as well not do it now…” Ollie replied. “As long as my things aren’t getting rained on I’m fine.”
Roxie glanced over at him and then back at the roof. “My horse died when I was out hunting for what felt like the first time in years… I got attacked by a cougar. Nobody really helped me very much… Ben couldn’t get his gun unstuck and Adaline… she shot it but it still took her a few minutes to get over there while I was flailing around on the ground trying to get up.”
“Shes very unreliable…” Ollie muttered.
“You’re not wrong…” Roxie sighed. “She isn’t very nice either…”
“You got that right.”
Roxie nodded. “I don’t know what I’m going to do about my horse though. I won’t be able to go very far out of camp without one and walking places won’t get me too far either…”
“Go get a new horse then. It shouldn’t be too hard if you have enough money to get it.” Ollie said.
“Ollie, you know I don’t have that much cash on me! Not to mention I’d rather not get one from a stable anyway.”
“Go catch one then. From the wild. I bet you could find plenty of horses in the plains.” He said.
“Hmm… it's a good idea but… how will I get there?...” Roxie asked, looking down at the ground now.
“Tomorrow. Take my horse. I’ll go with you. I’ll help you find a horse. If you want to ask someone else to go with you, and by that I mean go ask someone else to come with us. We’ll need someone else if anything goes wrong.” Ollie said, still facing the wall of his tent.
Roxie’s eyes immediately lit up. “Do you mean it?... you're actually going to help me get a new horse?...”
“Sure.” Ollie replied.
Roxie immediately got up and ran out of his tent. “Ok, see ya tomorrow then! Thank you!” She yelled at him as she dashed off.
Ollie rolled himself over and stared blankly at the opening to his tent. “Dammit… The hell am I doing…” He asked himself before rolling back over to face the wall again. “She’ll get me killed…”
Stefan Althaus | Male | Member | Mentions: Buddy & Evangeline
-
Stefan simply leaned against the counter, staring forwards as Buddy spoke about the poison that was alcohol and smokes. Stefan scoffed slightly, Stefan couldn't help but simply nod at the leader's departure, barely acknowleding Evangeline. "Jesus," he sighed, feeling as though Buddy wasn't necessarily thinking straight. To be fair, Stefan probably wasn't one to talk, but what could he do? He wasn't much of a leader, but the German was smart. Smarter than most.
Stefan sighed as he watched Buddy leave through the swinging doors, deciding to move a tad closer to Evangeline to close the gap between them. Women in this world were considered vulnerable, and that was something that his sister, Lotte, proved at a constant. Perhaps it was just people in the towns the gang had been associated with or it really was just like that, but Stefan never really understood the entire fact that 'women aren't men's equal.' Whatever it was, he could care less, but this caused Stefan to just look at Evangeline for a moment before finishing the rest of his glass, in which he simply set down instead of calling the bartender over.
Stefan scoffed. "I am in no place to lead. At all," he said, his eyes slightly widening as he spoke. "But hey, there's firsts for everything. "A tyrant doesn't exist unless the leader's already stepped down." Those words escaping his mouth made him shrug in a way he didn't think it would. That sounded bad, but he didn't actually think Buddy was going to leave or step down any time soon, seeing that it was only a matter of time before the law would catch up to them. But with that in mind, maybe that would be a reason to leave. Start a life. Stefan couldn't do that... not again.
As the bartender handed Evangeline her drink, Stefan couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as she winced at the smell of the drink. He was about to comment something in Stefan fashion, but decided it could wait until he saw if she would actually drink it or leave it. She would sip on it lightly, only causing Stefan to simply order another and down it within seconds. Friendly competition maybe, but Stefan would simply say it was 'in his nature.' Maybe that was true, or he really was just be a douchebag trying to show his drinking skills like it was something to be proud of. It really wasn't.
Stefan coughed slightly, feeling the slight burn he had gotten so used to. He clenched his jaw slightly, looking at Evangeline as she spoke yet again. Stefan shook his head. "The strongest doesn't mean mentally," he exhaled, simply tapping his finger softly on the counter. "Not even physically, even. When you're a drunk, you think you're on top of the world. Believe it or not, I think that, but that's a secret I'd never tell," he said, hearing her say she was kidding. "You better be," he scoffed, Stefan simply facing her now at this point. She was interesting in a way that Stefan could be intrigued by, and by this, that simply meant that a conversation could be sparked within moments. Stefan furrowed his eyebrows when she mentioned him being one of her favorites.
"Oh, so who else is on your list of favorites? Or am I just that special, I'm the only one?" He asked teasingly, simply eyeing her before he took his hat off, ruffling his hair after he set it down on the counter. "I do as I please, judge me if you want. At leat I don't sit there and sip on it, hoping that your best friend Stefan doesn't judge you." Stefan rolled his eyes, although sarcastically, but he was maybe deep down, a tad annoyed. Not in a bad way, but in a way that was friendly.
Stefan ordered another round, simply waiting for Evangeline to start on hers. "Why'd you even come into town anyways?" Stefan asked, trying to think as to why Evangeline would just appear into the saloon without reason. Maybe it was just to see Stefan one of her 'favorite people'. Maybe it wasn't. Some other reason? Stefan could care less though, and no longer waiting for the woman to start on her new drink, Stefan downed another round like it was nothing.
Connor O'Conner I Male I Newcomer I Mentions: Lotte and Vera
Connor smiled as Lotte said he shoulda taken her with him. He wished he had, it was a mistake just leaving her. So flakey and messed up, he regretted his decision deeply. He didn't, however, like that. He was not one for making friends, much less this woman he could barely understand. He didn't mind her appearence or her accent and inability to speak fluent english, he just didn't really like other people whim he was forced to talk to.
"I do not know how to play cards or gamble." He told the other woman, taking a bowl and taking a bite of the food. He smiled happily, loving the food. He probably shoulda known better than to try and skip meals, as he was definately majorly underweight . "You have a point Vera, this is amazing. Maybe next time I might even eat without some persuasion." He told Lotte mostly, even though he mentioned Vera's name.
He loved venison, it was one of his favotire meals to eat. It reminded him of his childhood, he ate a lot of deer and scrap meats, that was even where he learned to use a gun. He didn't regret his later useage of the gun. He pushed the thoughts away and put them back on the people at hand. The new woman was okay, he didn't mind her as much as he though he would. He finished the food quickly, practically injesting it.
(Whew that's short and I'm tired)
Adaline I Female I Second in Comand I Mentions: Ben
Adaline started to get restless. She was always doing something and when she wasn't doing something it made her antsy and stressed. She stood up, grabbing the jacket that was by the tent opening. She slipped it on before walking out amongst the gang. She had placed the orange flower back in her hair around her ear, making sure it could be seen. She had grabbed her hat, but only to wear around the rest of the gang. She was on her way to go see waht Ben was upto when she laid eyes on that tent. It had holes all in the top of it and it was becoming an issue. The reson why it was an issue was because the person inside could catch a cold or orse, then spread it amongst the gang.
She barged into the tent, not bothering to announce her presenece. She laid eyes on Ollie, her least favorite person in the gang. She glared coldly at him, crossing her arms. He was a lazy bastard and didn't seem to contribe much to the gang, not that she would've cared if he did anyway. She stood there for a moment, scanning the tent. Once she had scanned it she returned her gaze back to her brother.
"You'd better get those damn whole patched already. Ya lazy bastard, do you even contribute anything to this damn gang?" She spat, eyes narrowing as her glare hardened. "You'd better listen this time. Do you want to kill us all?" She asked him, turning to walk out. She hated being around him, damn he looked so much like her mom. She hated it.
“Hmmmm, do I do anything for this gang? I used to… until you shoved yourself into the ranks. You really piss me off so much more than the others. I always planned the heists, and the shootings, and the robberies, and whatever else you can come up with. Do I really feel like doing such things anymore? No. But am I going to? Yes. For your information, I actually have been doing something with my life for the past month. Never see you doing anything better.” He muttered, rolling himself over to look at her. “There's a train going through Openshaw in about 7 days' time. I’ve been using my brain to come up with a little idea here. He said, pointing to a rolled-up sheet of paper on top of one of his stacks of books. “I won’t let you take a look though. I may have accidentally shared it with Roxie though… eh, she still hasn’t told you guys the real part of it. I’ll be putting it on the table in three days for you all to see. All you have to know for now is that it involves a train passing through Openshaw at about 3:30 AM 7 days from now.” He said, sitting up and sliding himself over to his books, taking the piece of paper off the stack and setting it down on his lap as he crossed his legs.
“And if you think you should see this just because you're second in command and all friendly with Arthur then you're wrong. Just remember, I was once asked about the second in command position. I obviously refused it because I don’t really like to be the leading type but I got to say, if I knew who was going to actually get it I would have definitely taken it specifically so you wouldn’t get to. You're a pretty dumb second in command, you know that? And Ben has pretty bad taste in women. I can see why he chose you over Roxie.” Ollie said, pointing the paper at her before lowering it again.
Asta Shah l F l 24 l member l M: Vera, Connor, Lotte
Upon entering the camp Asta fixed up a mask for herself. She wore a smile to say everything was fine and nothing was off. This was just another normal day for her. She widened her eyes out of their bored state to the point where it was uncomfortable to act happy. Her whole face drooped in a resetting position as she smiled again. It was progress. She just needed something to do to take her mind off Gypsy. There weren’t many people around that she considered interacting with so she walked over to the kitchen. One measly little biscuit isn’t a good breakfast, is it now? On the way there she passed the spilled sack of oats on the ground. Sighing, she bent down to pick it up. You can’t let anything go to waste, no matter how much it was going to haunt you. The oats reminded her of Gypsy; right before she found out he was going to die. Ugh, the thought made her want to both kick a tree and cry again. Her horse was always politely mannered, though refused to do anything when it was hungry. Horses could be stubborn in that way and she enjoyed them for that. It added some variety into their personalities. She almost actually did go kick a tree when she neared the kitchen.
The kitchen laid right in front of her. She took a step towards it, hesitating. Shaking her head slightly, Asta entered through the back to return the oats. About half the sack was missing to wet grass. Hopefully no one would notice or even care that much about that. She dropped the bag, spilling it on the ground again. Groaning, she kicked the bag and whatever was left in it and looped back to the front. Lotte, Connor, and Vera were spotted in a conversation of some sort. She didn’t want to bother them too much, but needed some human interaction that didn’t involve near death experiences for the day.
Slamming the edge of her newly “obtained” dagger into the wooden table, she sat down next to it. The blade bothered her to have around, but don’t we all have something in our house bothering us? Asta checked to make sure she had her smile mask on. “Hey people,” She stared directly at the wooden surface of the table saying that. Her arm burned a bit reaching out for a bowl of food so she tugged on her bandanna a bit to cover a wound. If she were trying to hide the fact that she just returned from a fight, this was illustrating it just perfectly. She jabbed at the food with her fork and looked up at Lotte, “What was this, again?”
