Shit, it's getting cold. Inferno thought as she finished her dinner, waving her hand, enveloping the plate in shadows. As soon as the darkness dissipated, the plate was gone, blinked back to the Mess Hall. She pulled her sweatshirt tighter against her body, using a small amount of her abilities to heat herself up. It was forbidden for the students to use their abilities outside of the school while on school grounds, away from the sharp eyes of the professors. She didn't want her parents on her ass about being kicked out of the school in the first weak just because she was cold. One thing she'd never do was go back to her parents in defeat, proving them right that she couldn't control herself. Her jaw tightened just thinking about it. Just then, the male student from before, the one in the dorm next to hers, the human, walked out and passed her sitting place, casting a small glance her way before continuing on and pulling something out of his pocket. Before she could see what it was, a small flame flickered on his palm. So a fire mage, huh? Inferno thought to herself. The fragrance of smoke hit her nose, and she realized that what he was holding was a joint. Back home, at her previous school, she had tried it with her best friend Khaos, and liked the initial feel, but hated how it made her more open and kinder. But honestly? She wouldn't pass it up if she was given the chance to take a hit. "You know it's forbidden for us to use our abilities out here, human?" She drawled, loud enough for the taller male to hear her. Flicking one hand lazily, she snuffed out the flames in his palm with a tendril of shadows. "I don't necessarily care what you do, but just a heads up." |

Kai heard the girl walking away before she said something. "Thanks for the heads up princess but piss off." Kai returned while blowing out smoke. He rolled his eyes before taking another hit. He ended up smoking the rest of it and then walked back into the school. His eyes were red, not because of using his abilities, it was just from him being high as balls. Since being high makes your appetite bigger he was now hungry. Man im so hungry but I dont wanna go eat with people. He figured most of the students would be done eating by now but still, just in case there is students he decided to eat back at his room. He stumbled into the mess hall and grabbed his food. He then walked out. Some students gave him dirty looks but he was used to it. He got back to his dorm and sat down on his bed, he forgot to close his door though. He started eating and scrolled on his phone. |

Inferno immediately disliked him. Number one, a human mage tells her, a pure-blood supernatural, a princess?! How dare he! She could torch him with a flick of her hand or choke the life out of him with her shadows with a twirl of her fingers! Scoffing, she decided to Shadow-blink back to her dorm, not wanting to risk the chance of running into other creatures and other students. She wasn't in the mood to deal with others right now. Ebony shadows swirled around her, and in a flash, she was back in her room, right by her bed. The one problem she had with shadow-blinking was that it froze the air around her, and drained her partially. Shivering slightly, she lit a fire in the hearth to hopefully warm her room up. |

Kai finished his food quite fast, once he did he just laid in bed not knowing what to do. He just stayed on his phone scrolling on TikTok for a bit. After a few minutes, he heard a knock on his door. "Yes." Kai said looking up. What does the headmistress want? "I was just coming to check on you and I see you still have your phone, phones are not allowed in this school, it distracts you." She said putting her hand out for Kai's phone. "What you're not taking my phone!" Kai said a little loudly. His phone was one of the only things that would keep him sane, once his dab pen dies of course. She looked at him sternly, "I won't ask you again kai." Kai got annoyed, his eyes glowed red a little bit while he tried to calm himself down. "You cant take my phone, its my fucking phone." Kai spoke up. The lady took his phone from kais hands and started to walk out. Kai stood up and slammed his door. He then paced around his room trying to calm down. Before you know he opened the door quickly looked down the hall to where she was and used his abilities. His hands and arms pointed towards her and a beam of fire arose from his hands. The fire was heading right toward her. A student who was in one of the dorms beside kais yelled "Watch out." To the headmistress. She ducked as fire beamed over top of her. Kai then snapped out of it. He looks at his hand then looks back up at her before storming back into his room, slamming his door again. |

Inferno was reading her book when she heard the shouting next door. She groaned, already having a headache from the noise from the Mess Hall when she passed through it to get her dinner. She rolled over, got up, and opened her door to see what the absolute fuck was causing so much goddamn noise. She saw the Headmistress walking down the hallway with an electronic device, a phone, by the looks of it, in her hand. The door to Dorm 14 opened and Inferno drew her head back in her room moments before a bolt of condensed flames shot by her room. Looking back out, she saw that it was heading straight toward the head of the school. Knowing that the woman wasn't a fire supernatural and that her body couldn't handle the heat, she yelled out, "Watch out!" Luckily, the headmistress looked back and ducked just in time to not have her face melted off. The student's door next to her slammed shut again, the noise from the wood colliding with the wood in the doorframe sending vibrations through Inferno's head, making the throbbing pain there worse. Growling under her breath, she walked out and rapped her knuckles against the male student's door harshly. "Ay, keep it the fuck down. Not all of us want to be kept up all night with you throwing a temper tantrum." She snarled, and then slipped back into her room and locked her door for the night before the student in the dorm next to hers could open his door. She ran a hand through her hair, sighing in frustration. Of all rooms, she had to be placed next to that guy? |

Kai ran his hands through his hair breathing heavily. Shit what if they kick me out, My dad wouldn't be happy. He started to panic a little knowing what would happen if he got kicked out. Ever since his mom died his dad has been more harsh on Kai, even before his dad isn't the greatest person. Fear struck his eyes, he took a deep breath as he calmed himself. He then heard that girls voice from before. "Ay, keep it the fuck down. Not all of us want to be kept up all night with you throwing a temper tantrum." Kai punched the wall that was connected to her room, breaking it but not all the way through. It caused a loud noise. The comment she made just infuriated kai more. His destructive and doesnt know how to control himself, he knew if he kept this up he would end up like his dad. |

Inferno flinched as the bang came from the room next to hers, her ears starting to ring. Shaking her head, trying to get rid of the annoying noise in her ears, Inferno sat back down on her bed and growled lowly. It wasn't as if she could ask to switch rooms either. Her parents had paid extra for a single-bed dorm room so she didn't have to share her space with anyone else. They knew that if she was forced to spend her nights with someone for the next year, the other student would have their throats torn out in a split second. So she was stuck. Great. Shifting into her wolf form, Inferno curled up in her bed, closing her blood red eyes and curling her bushy tail around herself for extra warmth. |

As soon as kai calmed down he plopped into his bed exhaling sharply. He shut his eyes and tried to fall asleep. It took him a while before falling asleep but he did. (Sorry its so short) |

{It's fine! There wasn't much to add!} The next day, Inferno didn't even bother to shift out of her Hellhound form. The humanoid form was starting to annoy her. She felt weakened in that state, so she decided to stay in her original form. Grabbing a plate in her jaws, Inferno ignored the shocked gasps of the other students as she wolfed down her food and swiped her tongue around her jaws. Padded through the halls, she headed to her first class. She didn't care that it was early in the morning, she didn't want to waste any time in waiting for the clock to tell her that the classes would be starting soon. Pushing the door open with her muzzle, she decided to sit, or more accurately, lay down in the back of the classroom, thumping her fluffy tail against the ground impatiently as she waited for the other students to arrive. She just hoped that she wasn't placed in the same class as that mage. |

Kai woke up, very tiredly he got up and got ready. He gathered his stuff and looked at his schedule. He figured out what he had first and made his way to that class. He didn't even bother getting food, he normally doesn't eat breakfast anyways. He walked in and his eye are drawn to the back of the class. A big dog thing was just laying there. What the fuck is that, I have no clue what it is but its kind of cool. He proceeded to walk to the back of the class and sit at one of the desks. He then looked at the thing again to get a better look at it. Ooh wait I know what it is, its a hellhound. Kai had remembered that he read about them. He was really into hellhounds and thought they were cool. As more students showed up so did the teacher so he turned his attention to the professor. He glanced ever so often at the hellhound. (Just tell me if im not writing as much as youd like, i normaly dont write this much :)) |
