Varour - Neoma Tribe

Gnashing claws. Mauled bodies. Malnourished tribes. The stench that swarmed its way as though a slithering snake with death in its midst across the lands. The unforgiving miasma of the demise of the infected. Gnashing claws. Mauled bodies. Malnour-

It was stuck in his head, as like to a mantra of sorts. He could not take that off of his shoulder, he could not shake off what he had seen, what he had been so close to, just a few days ago.

Varour stood at the top of the hill, overlooking the meadow that was then cut off by the surging tributary. Turning around, the wind rustling his fur, making his amulets oscillate.

Eirie - Neoma Tribe

Garlic, honey, oregano. Garlic, honey, oregano. Garlic, honey, oregano.

As Eirie trotted through a densely wooded area, her blueish pelt contrasting to the seasonal browns and green, she repeated the string of ingredients in her head. These three were all antibiotic, cleansing ingredients, all a staple in her small homestead.

Whether it is a small lacerate or simply a bee-sting, these three would always soothe and heal the wounds, until they were strong and the ailment had died down.

By the time she was done in the forest, and had collected all of her vital ingredients, her pockets were full, and the vessel she had taken with her to hold the drizzling sugar-sweet honey was threatening to overflow with the liquid gold.

Maeve - F - Neoma Tribe - Warrior in Training - M: Open

The coywolf yawned as the sunlight gleamed across her dappled coat. She flicked her large ears, startling for a second at the soft trilling before she came to her senses. A little golden finch lay snuggled between her ears. It was Cami, the little bird that she had found as a tiny, fuffy chick that had fallen out of his nest.

Maeve yawned, standing up much to the small bird's dismay. He chittered as she stretched, flapping his wings and chirping at her. She ducked her head as she exited her den spot, a bed of soft moss underneath berry bushes.

Today was the meeting between the Tribe Neoma and the Tribe Tama, and she would get to go! She had to eat what was left of her kill from last night quickly and meet up with the others.

Varour - M - Neoma Tribe - Co-Leader - M: Eirie

Varour looked down the hill at the tribe's settlement, his eyes roaming over every new leaf, the small rillets of water dancing their way through the valley, the tribe members all getting ready for the new day.

Turning his head and looking east, Varour rested his alert eyes upon the young healer, Eirie, a lynx. She had a schlep with her, in all likelihood healing supplies with her. The breeze sailed in from below, and with the wind he caught the smell of garlic, oregano and ... honey?

Turning down his nose, Varour set his way down the hill, in the trajectory for the tribe's center.

- Eirie - F - Neoma Tribe - Shaman/medic apprentice -M: Ennis-

After putting away her newly fetched ingredients on the different shelves and pots, Eirie perched down upon a large boulder in the Tribe's centre. The smooth surface was open to all, and it's almost luminescence originated from its motherland, the Moonstone.

It had been hewn out of the holy rock aeons ago, for its size would not have been easy to transport by the mere predators of today's' age. This was often her resting-place. The feeling of the raw power under her body, a heart. The heart of Neoma tribe.

There was a meeting planned for later today, for the transference of building resources between Tama and Neoma. Almost all of the Healers and shamans would be there, including Ennis. Eirie had been anticipating and looking forwards to it for days.

Evette | Neoma Tribe | Leader
.
My tail flicked back and forth in anticipation.
The day could not go by faster. It has been so long since I have seen Torryn. Being leaders of sperate tribes will do that.
The wind brushed through my fur bringing a familiar smell of garlic, oregano, and honey. These have become the signature smell of my favorite blue lynx.
.
Lowering into a bow I streched out my bordem, and with a quick shake I leaped down from the moon stone. A thud followed my decent. Trotting around the stone I let out a loud purr to annouce myself to Eirie.
.
Apon her revealing herself I perked my ears and nod my nose at her giving a cheeky smile. "Hello, Eirie. You smell more lovley today then ususal. I take it you gathered already this morning! "
Rolling my shoulders I gave her a glance. "You wouldn't have anything in there to give me a signature scent of my own would you? A firend of mine is coming today as you know. I would hate to still stink like last nights meal."

Eirie - F - Neoma Tribe - Healer/Shaman - M: Evette

Upon noticing Evette, the grey and white clan leader, Eirie bounded down from her perch. Evette and she had been fast friends for a long while, even before Eirie turned to apprentice at the shaman and healers.

"Evette!" Eirie let out with a gay voice- she knew that the cougar had been looking forward to this day for a long while. Cocking her head after the inquiry, Eirie proceeded. "Perhaps some lemongrass and lavender?" Eirie continued, "To sooth any possible angst!" Casting a glance to her den, she suggested "Should we go fetch some? I know exactly where i have them stored, it should just take a second!"

Cocking her head once more she spotted a certain grey wolf loping down the hill-side. Varour. "It'll be fun, I can even lend you some talismans and amulets!"

Gráinne | F | Messenger | Neoma Tribe | Mentions: Varour, Evette, Eirie

Gráinne awoke with a beam of sunlight pushing itself into her face. Beads of morning dew rested on her mahogany fur, and she shook herself out, letting the small droplets fall to the ground. The tip of her tail flicked upwards as she took her first few steps out of the den, looking around for any other wolves. Shrugging on her messenger bag and slipping her sword in the sheath around her forepaws, she finally stepped outside, letting the sunlight dry her fur.

Looking behind herself at a hillside, she spotted Varour trotting down towards the dens towards the tribe’s central meeting place. She padded towards the middle of the camp to greet the tribe leader. With a dip of her head and a slight wag of her tail, Gráinne waited for a lull in the conversation she was having with Eirie before addressing Evette.

"Evette, it's lovely to see you. Any assignments for me before the meeting later today?"

Coyotl - Maura Tribe - Shaman - Mentions: none

In the midst of the whispering woods, Coyotl pads silently through the morning fog. Aye, I'm just another monster in the whispering woods, he thinks to himself with a chuckle. As the rumors have warded most away, this territory is lonely for its size, with many a quiet trails ruminations. Today, he isn’t wearing his ceremonial gear, allowing for freer movements. Still, his medicine pouch is slung around his neck as always… one never knows when an emergency could happen.

With a few quick whiffs of the air, he inhales the earthy, pine scent of the forest with satisfaction. No predators here, no scent of contagion… yet. If the tribe had to evacuate, it’d be a pity they'd leave the prey supply of this lush woodland go to rot. In fact, he could already detect the scent of prey on the breeze. Creeping through the leafy underbrush, being careful to stay downwind, he until he spots a cottontail rabbit. With a quick pounce, he snatches the oblivious animal up in his jaws. The open wound wept fresh blood into his maw, but he's careful not to let too much spill, as it could attract other predators.

He runs back to his den with his catch and slips through the foliage-concealed entrance. Since hunger has not annoyed his belly yet, he leaves the prey for later in a far corner of the cave. His yellow eyes scan the rock shelves where his herbs and concoctions lay in orderly rows.

Some of his supplies were running low - water mint and watercress in particular. Soon he may have to trek to Mithrun Marsh to restock his inventory. An arduous task, but such was the his duty as the healer of the tribe. He dreaded making the journey alone, but his tribe mates were too busy (or perhaps they were plain unwilling, that was his bet). No worries, I've done it before, he reassures himself, converting his shudder to a deliberate shake of indignation, as if he could shake the memories away.

"Eirie!" I bounded torwards her excitidly.
"Lemongrass and lavender you say? Yes lets try that!"
I followed after the small feline. "Aie so you intend to make me more shiny?" I giggled as we neared the cave entrence.
"I have no shortage of time my dear friend, I olny need to find Maeve before the gathering. The coywolf shows promise."
I turned around seeing my co leader bounding across the feild.
I should talk with him soon as well.
A familiar voice chimmed in behind me. "Gráinne! Yes I need a message carried to tribe Cairn. The herds havent been moving into the valley. So i need comfrimation to hunt in their lands. Remeber how they act, and keep your wits about you. Its against tribe code to hurt a messenger and Cairn is strict on tribe rules. So I wouldn't send you if I didnt feel like you would be safe. However if you need a travel companion let me know!"
I said giving reassuring look to the red wolf.

Torryn | Tama Tribe | Leader
.
I walked through the bustling of town greeting all the warm faces of my tribe. It reminded me of my old pack. When we lived each preadator to our own. The memory of how our huts were laid.
Leaders hut in the middle and the rest circling that hut. My parents hut.
I shook my head of the memory. What was so different from me passing here. Why do I feel more at home here then I did in my home then
.
A small lynx cub running full force into me realesed me from my worried thoughts. A small chuckle left my throat as I looked down at the worried kit, whose expression seemed to lighten at my laugh. "Ello sweet kit, be mindful of your path. Is yer head alright?"
The kit placed her paw on her head giving a little rub before nodding a yes and ansering "Yes ma'am."
"Alrite youngling, be on yer way then." I watched in pride as the little ball of fluff bounded off into the town.
.
If the tribe needs anything right now its more young. We haven't had littles in months. the couples we have in the tribe now pass littles as often as they can, however since the start of the death walkers I've not seen a mother have more then 2 babes. Hopefully the younger generation start finding a mating pair.
(Meaning the same species mate. As other species besides wolves and coyotes cant have mixed species litters.)
.
Ezra came trotting through town beside me. " Lady Torryn!! You've not equipped yourself for this journey!"
After a small laugh I turned to him smiling. "Dear Ezra, the tribes have been at peace for years now. Im in no need to carry a weapon. I feel as if I am fine the way I am." I gave a little spin " I am taking gaurds and should the need arise I am more the capable of taking care of myself. I carry these scars for a reason."
.
.
Ezra | Tama Tribe | Second
.
My head raised at the thought she considered it a insult.
"My lady! I didnt mean it to be a insult. Just that if today was the day a uprising happened then I would want you to be safe... err secure. Being eqipped can only better your chances at survival..."
I trailed off. I have to stop talking I am digging a hole of which I may never make it out of. I glance upward with sorrowful eyes.
When a laugh of all things caught me off gaurd.
.
Surley I just insulted her 3 more times. Yet she wasn't angered by it. Shaking her head at me the soft words "You are the sillest sometimes Ezra." slipped from her muzzle. "Come now or we will be late." Her voice has to be the most beautiful. Though Ill admit im a bit biased.
.
.
Torryn | Tama Tribe | Leader
.
Once we had all met at Storm pass we began our trek to tribe Nemoa. On the way I caught the scent of deep pine woods. The most uncommon smell. Even our gatheres who spend their day in the woods gathering nessities do not emerge with this scent.
.
My ears flicked back and forth before I halted brining my travel companions to a halt as well. I need to know its sorce. I start scanning the land when my eyes spot the most unusual looking canine. Their tail being the most off thing about them. Where have they come from? Where are they going?
Their pelt carried other scents with them. Smells that are usually on healers and shamans. What tribe could this shaman nelong to with a scent of thick pine.
.
"My lady is something wrong?" Ezra asked.
"Do you recognize that canine? Something seems amiss about him. They smell like a healer. Yet I have never laid eyes on a healer like that before." My brows were furrowed and my eyes narrow with concern.
.
"I think you are worried too much about it my lady. Whats important is that they are living correct? As long and they are not a death walker, they shouldn't be a worry. It could be a rouge band member or a recluse whos kept away from pride until now." Ezra made sense in his statment.
I nodded and contiued on the path. "Thanks my friend." I nodded to Ezra.
He knows protecting the tribes is the most important thing for me, and sometimes I get carried away. Why I thought he was amiss is beyond me, but I can still feel it in my gut.
