Amara nodded to Ajihad. "Of course. I am sure there are plenty who will want to hunt" she said as she nuzzled him. She looked over and saw Opal and Reyla making their way over to Ivy before Amara flicked her ear. "Astrid, would you mind leading a hunting party out" she asked. "I am sure Amber and Tara are itching to get out. Maybe have another join as well" she added, hoping her sister wouldnt mind taking out a hunting party. / Luna looked at Yael. "Well, I am sure that if we need help, we can still as our parents. It's not like they are leaving the pride just to see how we do" she said, hoping the words would help a bit. Her blue eyes looked off in the distance as she heard her mother call to her aunt, and telling a few others to head out hunting. *Hopefully there will be plenty of food* she thought, though it wasnt for herself. She wanted her mother and Aria to be well fed since both lionesses had cubs on the way. |

Ivy / Ivy, once satisfied that everyone was ready, set off into the plains. The herbivores have migrated their way back to their lands, which is just perfect for the oncoming feast. Ivy caught a whiff of wildebeests. Nice. She nodded her head towards the direction of where the wildebeests are and padded there. When the hunting group reached their destination, Ivy crouched in the tall swaying grass. There aren't much foals in the herd, and there aren't as much older or sick ones. Looks like this hunt will be a bit more trickier. They'll have to strategize. "Any ideas?", she asked others, while thinking of one herself. |

Opal looked around in the herd and tilted her head. "What about that one" she asked. She pointed out a rather plump looking wildebeest that looked pregnant, and possibly slowed, but it was still risky. She looked at Reyla who shrugged, not sure what would be a good idea. "The gazelle should be following them shortly if we want to try meeting them and looking there" Reyla offered. |

Ivy shook her head. "That is unpredictable. Something could scare them off into the different direction. We should go for that big one which Opal pointed out. We need to take hold of every opportunity". She scanned the landscape. "Jasiri, you coming with me", she decided, "We will go further that way, while Opal and Reyla should try to scare the wildebeest towards us". She looked at everybody seeing if everyone agreed. (if everyone did agree then we skip to the part where Ivy and Jasiri stalked their way sideways) |

Ajihad let out a wide loud yawn, and nuzzled Amara. "Good luck," he nodded to Siku to lead the way. It would take a while to make their way across the border. There had better be no hyenas. Ajihad felt his brow furrow at that thought. Astrid nodded with a smile, "Of course." She let Amara choose the rest of her hunting party before she flicked her tail commanding them to follow her. Astrid liked to hunt near watering holes. It was a place guaranteed to attract prey, if they waited long enough. Anywhere else, and it would take luck. "Tara, where do you think we should hunt?" Yael nodded, "True. Hopefully, they don't mind us asking for advice. Perhaps we should make a council of elders or something. Maybe they could have an important part in the pride, parting their knowledge upon us. Besides, don't we need to choose our seconds? I think we need to explore this council idea more." |

Tara looked at Astrid before she gave a small shrug. Tara wasnt one to really lead the hunts, but she was happy to follow along anywhere. After a moment, she wondered. "Let's head the opposite way of the others. Better chance of finding prey" she replied calmly. / Opal and Reyla agreed with Ivy's plan, moving into place before Opal caught scent of another lion nearby, but not on their land, yet. She knew the pride has expanded their territory when she was younger, but that's because of how large the pride had been. / Luna watched Yael as she thought. "A council might work, though we cannot give them too much power" she replied. "How about a lead huntress, and a lead patrol? Might help out since our parents somewhat did that working together" she replied. She knew her mother and Aria swapped off a lot picking who would hunt and where they would go. It would help Luna out too until she could learn better who can do what. |

Siku / Siku hummed tunelessly as they made their way to the border. The sun was making its way upwards, and Siku already felt the foreboding laziness in his paws. "Crazy how far we've gotten, eh?", he commented breaking the silence (as well as maybe Ajihad's musing, his brow was furrowed in thought), "Still feels unrealistic that our prides will be merging once and for all". / Nyasi / Nyasi sighed and rolled on his back, to view the world upside down. Tara is gone hunting, his mother is away on hunting too, and Yael is busy chatting with Luna. Nyasi felt a twang of envy. Why was Yael even chosen to be a leader. Just because he was the same age as Luna? 'I bet I would be able to beat him in a fight', he thought darkly. He looked away moodily, and instead at a fly that was buzzing at the ceiling of the cave. / Ivy / Ivy dared to poke her head out of the tall grass and nodded at the younger lionesses to proceed with the plan. Jasiri tensed beside her, his claws already unsheathing. |

Ajihad was able to ignore Siku's humming, even though it probably wasn't the best idea. They didn't necessasrily want to be announcing themselves as they walked along. He turned to look at his companion, when he interrupted his thoughts. He was surprised to see him rather relaxed, but then again, he had been humming. He was glad to break from his negative cycle, and he made an effort now that he saw what he had been doing, "I know it's very unusual. I'm glad that it's worked out so well." After the hyena wars, they had all needed a little more support, and working together had bonded them enough for this to work, along with having members that had been part of multiple prides. "Are we giving the pride over to a pair who are too young?" he felt disloyal for voicing such a fear, but it was a lot of lions to effect and look after. It was a lot of pressure to put on a pair, who would change, and might not even be able to work together. Astrid was relieved of an answer full of common sense. She tended to be a little scattered at times, and she couldn't decide where to go. When they came across prey, she gave them instructions to surround it, and they worked together. They failed at first, and Astrid wasn't sure how much longer they should keep trying. She really wanted to bring something back for the feast, otherwise, she would feel like a failure. Yael nodded, "The council will be more of advisors than anything. They aren't technically supposed to have any real power, but respect can influence the pride a lot. That's a good idea. Did you have anyone in mind?" If one of them was out of commission for a time, it would be nice. Of course, he was sure their parents could always step in if necessary, but it wouldn't look good for their leadership. |

Siku / Siku raised his brows at Ajihad's question. "You know, I was thinking about that too. Maybe we should've waited for maybe another year", he replied, feeling a small relief that he wasn't the only one with that worry, "But then come to think of it, how old were you when you left Chaos Pride and made your own pride?" Siku knew for definite that Ajihad was Chaos' first cub (I think), and there isn't a big age difference between father and son.It seems like ages ago when the old pride laws still existed. |

Luna gave a small shrug. "I think Ivy would be great as Lead huntress" Luna replied before she twitched her ear. "What about Chaos for lead patroler" she asked. "I do like your idea of the council. We can announce it tonight with everything else." She gave a small smile, happy that this seemed to be going well. (Should the Ivy hunting party skip to finishing the hunt?) Tara had done her best with the first failure of the hunt, but grumbled to herself, blaming herself for not getting the prey, even though it had been no lions fault for it slipping away. |
