Hello, welcome! I am working on a new world, and this is the thread that I will be using to sorta organize it. I will be posting information, updates, lore, etc in this thread.
However, there are some things I want you to keep in mind;
EVERYTHING here is mine. Therefore, nothing of mine should be stolen and/or copied. These are my own original ideas, and it would upset me if you stole anything of mine.
This thread will not be including everything about the world - at some point, it may be posted on my TH (MurderingCrow) or in my blogs. Be sure to check out both places if you're just that invested.

As an overview of the world:
Aerevar is a world consisting only of canines and their prey, perhaps some more dangerous predators (or entities) lurking within the shadows. This world is rather similar to our own, but there are some main differences. First of all, this world does not contain humans and never has. Canines have been the kings and queens of the land since forever ago, basically since the beginning of time.
These canines are a bit more advanced than what we know. Developed cultures, languages, religions, ranking systems, etc. They also know how to craft things, such as swords and daggers for their own use.
Most canines live in tribes rather than packs.

June 14th, 20218:08 PM MT- (c) SqdPxl @ DA The Mountains of DeathA location that lives up to its name, the Mountains of Death is the most dreaded place in the land. With towering peaks, dry land, and little to no civilization, this area is known for just that - death. Nobody lives here, but most pass through here. Those who do pass through the Mountains of Death normally never make it out alive. Most wonder why, but the answer is from something of deeper meaning. The mountains are littered with what the canines call Blythes. Blythes are dark entities, normally taking on the appearance of pitch black canine creatures, with blazing red eyes. It is said that they have no soul, and feed on those that are still alive. Technically, they are spirits, but spirits of another species known as Arkur. The Arkur species of ghost are blood-thirsty, and feed on the souls of mainly the innocent, but they feed on pretty much anyone and everything, which explains why the Mountains of Death are so dry and lonesome. The thing that makes Arkurs so unique though, is that they are out at any time. Most spirits that feed on live souls are nocturnal, but Arkurs feed at anytime. The Mountains of Death are located to the most southern area of the countries, settling in the country of (insert name here). Most go through here to hopefully reach the eastern area, known as (insert name here). The southern areas are known for the Mountains of Death, which in most cases, does not make a good name for those who reside there. Luckily, there are no tribes who live near them. The climate of the Mountains of Death aren't exactly what you would expect. The Mountains of Death do not have any snow caps all year round (in most cases), but are still rather cold. With a more desert-like climate, it's hot, but the higher you go into the mountains, the more colder it gets. Very rarely does the area get snow, let alone rain, which explains the little to no vegetation. Edited at June 14, 2021 11:12 PM by Murdering_Crow

June 14th, 2021 11:33 PM MT - Spirits/Gods
The spirits in the world of Aerevar are quite... diverse. Most tribes, if not everyone, believe in some sort of afterlife and gods, therefore, the spirits and gods have become quite ranged in what they are.
The 'Brights'
The 'Brights' are a type of spirit that the canines normally talk to for good luck. Brights appear as golden wolves, normally a bright aura illuminating off of them, hence their name. Their eyes are a white, also just as bright as the rest of them. Brights are one of the more nocturnal spirits, but is the only 'good' spirit that is nocturnal. Most spirits that are considered good, or neutral, are more likely to be seen during the day rather than night. The main reason for this is the exact reason of their name - they're too bright to be seen during the day.
(Other names for Brights - The Vivids, Luminous')
Blythes
Blythes are what are considered the darker entities or 'demons' as some may refer to them. Blythes are a specie of spirit that are just that - dark and rather bloodthirsty. Most Blythes are dangerous and can kill you, feed on you, and sometimes even posess you if you are weak enough.
(Other names for Blythes - Demons, Souleaters)
Arkurs
A subspecies of Blythes, Arkurs are described as soul takers rather than eaters. Appearing as dark canines with menacing red eyes, Arkurs prey on the innocent and can literally take your soul to stay alive. They are bloodthirsty and probably one of the most dangerous dark spirits out there. Arkurs are bloodthirsty and are quite common, believe it or not. This is because of the fact that they do not stop at what they do - they are out almost 24/7.
(Other names for Arkurs - Soultakers)

June 15th, 2021 1:48 AM MT - Species
Insants
This species of canine are on the larger end of the spectrum, standing around four feet to four feet and a half, 180-200 pounds, and live in the mountains. Their fur and large size is to help them move through the snow, their fur being thick and rather soft. Their colors mainly are pale to help them blend into the environment, in which is of course, pale as snow (pun intended). Edited at June 15, 2021 02:53 AM by Murdering_Crow

In all honesty, I have no idea. More than likely it will turn into a writing project - a book or a series even. To start, I was thinking maybe making it a RP, actually ^^ It would only center around so much, but I think it would be pretty cool to do! It would just be a matter of how many people would be invested in dealing with so much lore fora RP ;P
