Other time my father tried to trick me at dinner table.
I was very tired to the point I did not feel like eating much, so I said my parents I cannot finish my soup, I want to go to sleep instead. (Yeah, I was so tired that idea of eating soup was too taxing-I was probably overreacting, but the feeling was there) and I knew that returning food in a pot is a no-go as well as throwing it away so someone else had to eat it and since I was small back then it was still normal for parents to eat or take some food from their child's plate if they don't want it or cannot eat it. So my dad wanted to strike a deal with me.
I could go, but first I needed to eat half of soup.
I said okay and- when he asked which side I want to eat, LEFT or RIGHT I just went ahead and satred eating RIGHT side!
It took me a few spoons to realize that soup is a liquid that takes on a shape of bowl and moves as I eat it so by eating from left or right side of plate I am not lessing the soup in that specific area, but I am rather lowering its levels and would clear a side only by eating everything-my family laughed when I figured it out and let me go to bed X) for I was obvisouly already with brain off duty

Once my grandma forced me to wear a mosquito repellent bracelet to wear to a petting zoo. I was mad and complained the whole time. I eventually made my way to a cage of raccoons... I stuck my baby hands in the cage, only to be grabbed and pulled in by the raccoons. I sat there in shock and as I smacked there little hands off of me, BUT THEY WERE TO POWERFUL! They grabbed my bracelet and started taunting me with it. This is when I realized that I was free from the bracelet, and that it was a perfect excuse to how I lost it... because that's what happened.

Most people don't know this, but I have an immense fear of Monkey Bars/Jungle Gyms. When I was little (9 or 10), I was extremely below the average height, but for some odd reason I thought I was 30 feet tall, and tended to get myself stuck in equally odd situations. This time in particular, I was playing on the Monkey Bars at the community park, and decided "Hmmm. Why not go higher?" So I climbed on top of the bars and tried to balance myself on the thin metal strips, but ultimately failed resulting in a screaming grandma, a trip to the ER, and a huge concussion. I was a bright one XD

I was three at the time. My mother had a warmblood that was 16.2 and built like a tank. I was on his back, and fell off. I sat in the dirt for about three minutes wondering how I had gotten down there before jumping up, clapping my hands and saying I wanted to do it again.

When I was around 6 or so, there was a bee floating in my kiddie pool. I stuck my finger next to it and it stung me. No clue why I thought that was a good idea.

I'm not sure if anyone knows what Black Box wine is. It's a bag of wine inside a box, and it's got a spigot that's got like that button you push to get the drink. Anyways, I had to be maybe 7 or 8. I had no idea what this black box thing was. I was up early in the summer, and was downstairs, snooping around for some kind of sweet snack. And I thought I found a drop of chocolate syrup on the counter. We had made chocolate milk the night before, so it made sense to me. I didn't notice it was right in front of the Black Box wine. So I licked it up. Imagine how horrifying it is for a little kid to be expecting chocolate syrup, and getting red wine instead.
That mistake permanently ruined red wine for me. I can't drink it without being disgusted.

When I was about 9 or 10, I felt very smart one night. I figured out which finger was the middle one on your hand. So I told my dad and showed him.
I basically just flipped off my dad. He went very quiet, and I could tell he was kind of mad, though I couldn't understand why. Then he explained to me what it meant to use the middle finger. I felt terrible.

I had a thing about swallowing things whole, an aversion of it, so that when it came to trying to give me vitamin supplements that were not chewable or a little pill for kids when they're sick, it was...interesting.
The most vivid memory of my refusal to take the little kids' medicine pill, is that my mom gave it to me, and then let me go to my room to swallow it (I had a glass of water or milk I took) because I had said that I wanted to do it in private. I had the pill in my mouth, I believe. Instead of actually ingesting this teeny tiny disc of a pill (it was like the size of a ladybug or even smaller), I took a sip of the milk or water, managed to get the pill between the front of my teeth and my lips, and essentially used my teeth as a strainer.

I guess I knew that the pill was large enough to go through the little gaps in my teeth. So I drank whatever I had, then went over to behind a bookcase near my bathroom, and spat out the pill at where the bookcase met the wall, so that there was less chance of mom seeing it. Then I went down and said I took my pill.

I believe I did this several times during this period (as I was feeling a bit unwell)

XD, I just realized how calculated this was for a 5-6 year old (I think, I was definitely under 10 years, around the time we had first moved into the house). I knew full well what I was doing, and I was in minor anxiety every time mom went into my room to retrieve something.
