Salem Your eyes flutter open slowly as you take in your surroundings. Everything seems strange yet vaguely familiar at the same time, a sensation which you hate. You stumble to your feet, still slightly disoriented from the strange sleep that came upon you. You shudder, wondering what had taken place while you were asleep. As you stand, a small wooden figurine, and a glittering vial falls onto the ground with a resounding clatter. Strange. The ground is grass, which means they shouldnt have made any noise, and you could have sworn that they werent there when you woke up. An eerie feeling comes over you, as you scan the floating blue mist. There seem to be shapes, no, figures dancing in the mist. Your heart starts racing faster and faster, and you hurriedly pick up the lantern next to you. Wait. Lantern? There wasnt a lantern there a few minutes ago. This place is giving you the creeps. At least the moving figures in the mist have disappeared. Or have they? You catch another glimpse of something moving, and decide to get out of the clearing. Inspecting the rotting wooden stake, you make out a few words carved into the wood. The words looked like they were scratched with something sharp. While looking more closely at the stake, your heart skips a few beats when you notice sharp claw marks at the bottom. Yup, claw marks. No doubting that. They are gouged deep into the wood. You do not want to think about what those claws could do to a human, namely yourself. Your eyes hop back to the sign quickly and you are able to decipher a few rotting words. Nrth - The Frbidn Frst Sth - Evgren Lke Est - Falln Tral You stare at them for a few seconds, and decide that the first one must say North - The Forbidden Forest, South - Evergreen Lake, and East - Fallen Trail. Wait. Something is missing. Where is West? You search, and finally locate Wst - however, you cant see clearly. Something sharp has torn through the West sign, leaving only a gaping slashed hole, closely resembling the claw marks. Yup, you definitely want to get out of here now. Which way do you go? A) North B)South C)East D)West..

Salem - Against your instincts and all common sense (LOL) you decide to head west. Soon, the trees are clustered so tightly together that you have to push through them with all your might. Suddenly, you start hearing snarls, and you feel like you caught a glimpse of something slinking through the bushes. You repeatedly hear howls in the distance, which sends shivers running up and down your spine. The howls seem to be drawing closer and closer, as you slip in between trees. All of a sudden, a howl sounds. This time, it seems to be right next to you, yet you dont see anything. You feel chilled to the bone, as you continue on, slowly, and possibly regretting your life choices. The mist seems to be closing in on you even more, and even as you squint and hold the lantern up, the mist still does not shrink back. It crowds near you even more, and another chill runs up your spine. The lantern flickers, as the softly glowing blue light dims even more. In a panic, you shake the lantern, yelling at it to light up again, because you are terrified of being in the dark, with who knows what stalking you. As the lantern flickers even more, the eerie howl sounds again. This time unnervingly close. You imagine that you hear snarls, and the soft padding of footsteps on the leafy ground. You chew your lower lip, and nervously walk forward. You are starting to doubt that it is your imagination. Perhaps there actually is a lupine stalking you. You imagine sharp claws, and an open mouth, drooling, and ready to pounce onto you. With your heart pounding faster and faster, you reach a clearing and start to run. Suddenly, a heavy weight springs from behind you and hands on top of you, pinning you down, so that you cant run, or see it. Maybe it wasnt your imagination after all. You attempt to roll onto your side with no luck, and you feel a cold nose pressing against your legs, sniffing you. - Do you A) Scream loudly and hope that someone will hear you B) Wiggle around frantically C) Talk to the animal pinning you D) Attempt to kick the animal in the face E) Free Answer - Remaining Items: Moonlit Blue Lantern (1/1) Carved Figurine (1/1) Glittering Vial (1/1) Edited at April 11, 2024 08:17 PM by StarlightDreamer

Golden Meadows - You roll onto your side, dreaming of wolves, lanterns and a single glowing lamp on a pole. Wait. You startle awake, staring at your new surroundings. This isnt your comfortable bed at home. You are in a small clearing, surrounded by fog, lying on the ground. The previous memories register and you sit bolt upright. You remember the voice ringing clearly in your head. Something about a memory perhaps? You shake the thought off, and stand up. The mist creeps towards you and you search for any light to possibly repel the darkness. When you turn around, right where you were sitting, sits a blue iron lantern. The odd blue light pulsating from it gives a peaceful aura, and you feel safer just by holding. However, that was until an eerie howl sounds from the distance, sending shivers up and down your body. You dont know what made that howl, but you do know that it wasnt natural. Even as your common sense tells you not to venture into the creepy mist, you cant help it. You feel compelled to take one step, then another, the lantern making it so that you could see the path in front of you, but not around you. The lantern light flickered, and dimmed, then grew brighter again. After a few more steps, you walk straight into a wooden signpost. It points to the right, left and forward. On the sign pointing to the right, you see a roughly etched tree, on the sign pointing to the left, you see a small lake etched into the wood. On the sign pointing forward, you see claw marks, streaking down the sign. Only then did you notice the paw prints on the ground. As you bend down to inspect them, you feel a chill run down your spine. These paw prints were freshly made. Probably only from a few minutes ago. You feel a strong desire to get out of this place. Hurriedly, you look back at the crossroads, again and make your decision. - A) Right B) Left C) Forward Edited at April 11, 2024 08:18 PM by StarlightDreamer

Salem - It is a valiant struggle, as you attempt to get your face out of the dirt to speak to the animal. The furry thing settles down on your back as if it were laying down? I guess youre its new pillow now. You manage to turn your head to the side, and you catch a glimpse of shaggy fur, right before it shifts it weight and you cant see it anymore. You talk to it quietly, hoping to soothe it. Hello there. Nice wolf. Would you mind getting off of me so I can actually breathe? You grumbled the last part. The wolf shifts its weight again, and a nose pokes into your face, snuffling. You groan as a small stream of saliva trickles down your face, as it licks you. Inspecting you one more time, the lupine stands up on your back, and walks off of your back and sits in front of you. The obscuring mist keeps shifting, and you can only catch a glimpse of it, since you dropped your lantern, when the clearly mischievous lupine pounced on you. You take a step backwards, looking for the lantern and hear a dull crunching sound. Well there goes the lantern. You attempt to inspect the lupine, but however, the mist has enclosed it, leaving only its eyes and nose showing. As you shift your weight to your other foot, something rattles in your pocket. You mutter a few words, and stick your hand into your pocket cautiously. Immediately you let out a yell, as something sharp digs into your hand. The vial must have shattered when you fell. Your pocket is now a mess of glittering dust and glass. Inspecting your hand closely, a crimson drop of blood rolls down your fingertip, and lands on the ground. The lupine steps closer to you and licks your finger. Well arent you a bloodthirsty boy. You remark to the lupine. Its only response is to snuffle at your pocket. - Do you.. A) Attempt to pet it B) Give the lupine some dust that isnt covered with glass C) Back away from the lupine. Who knows what it's doing? - Remaining Items: Moonlit Blue Lantern (0/1) Carved Figurine (1/1) Glittering Vial (Well, what's left of it) (1/1) Edited at April 11, 2024 09:39 PM by StarlightDreamer

Salem - You shove your hand into your pocket and immediately regret it, as stabs of pain shoot up your hands. Grumbling, you pull out the pieces of glass imbedded in your hand and throw them as hard as you can, across the meadow. Then you carefully put your hand in your pocket, and take out a handful of dust. You decide to toss some into the air and see what happens. Bad idea. Half the dust flies into your face, making you sneeze. When you open your eyes, the lupine is engaged in a sneezing fit as well. After the lupine finishes sneezing, it turns its head and gives you a look that says "Really?" You sheepishly smile and hold out the rest of the dust. The lupine gives you one more condescending look, and stepps forward, its paw pads padding against the forest floor. His cold nose touches your hand, then with a sweep of his tounge, he licks up all the remaining dust, leaving a trail of drool on your hand. Wait. It just ate all the dust. Is that good for a lupine? Your head feels a little fuzzy. Something draws you back to reality. The slimy trail of drool slipping down your palm. Fighting the urge to throw up, you hurriedly shake off the drool, and wipe your hands on your pants. The lupine sneezes again and looks at you, as if asking for something. - Do you.... - A) Try to pet it B) Give it a hug C) Free Answer - Remaining Items: Moonlit Blue Lantern (0/1) Carved Figurine (1/1) Glittering Vial (0/1) Edited at April 12, 2024 03:55 PM by StarlightDreamer
