I will be pinning this post so everyone can see it;
Regarding the immunity situation, I think we should let it happen later down the line. However, I'm not sure how I/we should decide what characters are immune versus those who aren't. The best way I can do it is number each character in the order they were posted
Grayson would be one, Song would be second, and so on. This would only apply to active members and characters that have been accepted. That way we all have a fair chance. I would choose maybe 1-3 people(?) and PM those people, keeping it a secret. They can make it public if they wish, but it should be kept between myself and the people that are chosen.
Or we could simply just discuss it among ourselves. Whose characters would fit best, who wouldn't, etc. Personally, I'm fine either way, but I thought this should be mentioned if we actually wanted to add this into the plot. I think it would be a super fun dynamic to throw in. Please let me know what you all think and if we should even do it at all. Edited at November 28, 2021 01:12 AM by Corpses

I'm up for that! It would definitely add drama if some "immunity hunters" started hunting the group, though how they know some people are immune I don't know... there could also be different immunity types, like one person is immune to a scratch and stuff, but if the virus gets in their blood then they can still turn? Or one person isn't exactly immune, but takes maybe months/years to turn because their body is partially fighting it off... there's honestly too many options now that I think about it? But we probably shouldn't use them for simplicity XD

TIAPN suggested the bounty hunter deal already, actually, so that will probably be implemented one way or another if this does go through. I think we discussed that there would be an up-and-running facility, and just by word, the people at this facility would learn that there are some immune people. Note that there are doctors, surgeons, etc at this facility and are to be protected at all costs. Anyway, they would send people out to find the group as quickly as possible.
It could be interesting to have a bunch of variants, thought that would generally only make sense if it was further into the apocalypse. There hasn't been any sights of new infected or anything, but that could be interesting regardless.

Randomizing it feels like the most fair way to do it, I think. We should probably decide how many immune there are, though, first? I'd say two makes the most sense to me, but three might be more fair, and I would also say that if the randomizer ends up landing on characters owned by the same person that you should only count the first one. I agree with all of that. I think three is the best way to go, and no one with two characters can have them both be immune. That being said, I feel like it would also risk the chances of characters dying, especially if we go down the bounty hunter route.

To be entirely fair, we're allowed to have multiple characters, so we can always have backups in case we want one to die. No one will die unless we write them to, anyway, and the immune characters in groups will have protection that can probably ensure that they won't have to die unless the owner wants them to. For those who aren't, I guess we can just deus ex machina it if the owner isn't okay with their character dying?

Oh yeah. I'm not saying that the characters chosen will die, because anyone could die regardless, but it would increase the chances of more people dying within the group and outside of it. If someone isn't okay with their character dying, that's totally fine as well :)

Oh, yeah! Could definitely be a source for drama if people end up dying, I think. Maybe some more moral dilemmas about whether it's worth sacrificing so much for this one (or two, or three. depends on how many within the group get chosen, I guess) person is worth it, who knows.
