The fact that I found it so interesting.
What kept turning me away was that I didn't think I could pull off a literate RP; but then I kept coming back to the sign ups and looking at it, and just going "I want to, but I don't think I can do this". |

I keep doing that as well, which I find funny, since I've called myself a literate RPer for a long time, but I'm still worried about joining literate RPs because I don't always think I can consistantly match their level, lol. I guess it's a matter of just joining and learning all you can from it, even if you don't end up being the best writer in the group :) |

Yeah, I agree. I had the same dilemma of whether or not to join, but in the end I think the best way to improve your writing and roleplaying skills is to learn from more experienced writers and constantly challenge yourself. :) |

Yeah. I think that lots of lore can make roleplays pretty intimidating, but really, there's no way to improve except to try your hand at it. I thought that everybody here had a clear amount of passion and skill and interesting concepts to add to the table, though, so I'm glad that you all gave it a chance :') Figured that it'd be a bit scary so I tried to make it more lax rules-wise, at the very least. |

I finally got a post out! I actually managed to write over six hundred words with my character doing nothing but laying in bed. |

Hah, a lot of characters don't seem to be having much fun today. Makes sense, though. By the way, just so you all know, your characters don't actually have to be in the same area. Don't even have to be following along with the ceremony. They can all be wherever and doing whatever because the drama will start and follow them all the same. If you want to be extra dumb, you could even have them be taking a piss and it'd probably be fine. |
