The Red Hands Gang
Originating in 1872, the Red Hands Gang was created by a man called Howard Perry. He was referred to as the Red Hand for the amount of blood he had on them, as he was the sort of ruthless man you could expect in this time. He didn't let anyone cross him, and if they did, it wouldn't end well for them. The gang was rather small in the beginning, only containing roughly six members, including Howard himself. The other five were younger men who Howard decided were worthy of being on his side. These men were men he could trust.
As the gang expanded, they caused ruckus all over the developing states and growing cities. Train robberies, bank robberies, even invading on some family drama that they would scam. Howard was smart, though he of course had to come to his inevitable end.
After roughly 10 years of leading the gang, Howard was captured. And this time, his men couldn't save him. There was no way they could retrieve their leader, so they all made the selfish move to simply let him die. He was hung for his crimes. The other men were eventually hunt down.
You may be asking how the gang continued to thrive after so long?
Well, because the Red Hands gang was so ruthless and known for their impact on the crime that cowboys and outlaws alike would commit, there was something more than just the life of crime. These men all had a bond that couldn't be broken. Even in the end, their bond caused them all to die. People who were in the same situation admired this, and so, the Red Hands gang was developed more, slowly becoming what it is now.
The second man to lead wasn't actually a man. This woman, her name being Georgia Kiley, was a devastatingly good leader. However, she was blinded in her judgment. Her pride would always get the best of her, making the gang slowly become corrupt from the inside out. For a few years she led, though was eventually drowned by one of her own followers because he could see past her little act. The man who drowned her is unknown, but it is said that he knew that her intentions were not good. He's disappeared since then.
For a while the gang was leaderless. They all just sorta worked in harmony among each other, everyone pulling their weight. There was no exact roles in the gang. That is until now.
Otis Howe, their admirable leader, has made great change to the gang. With more ranks and jobs, he has created a family rather than just a gang. You could refer to them as a crime family, but everyone in the gang is simply trying to live out their days the best to their ability before their era is ultimately forgotten.
