Yo yo. :p

So, I've been thinking about re-opening my commissions for the first time in months, but I really want to re-structure how I do things along with it.

This is my old art shop, for reference on how I did commissions in the past (debating on whether I'm going to continue using that thread when I reopen commissions or just make a new one):
https://wolfplaygame.com/forums.php?f=40&t=22074

So, as you can see right now I have my prices split between headshots and fullbodies. I'm thinking of doing something similar in my revamped shop, but I'm probably instead going to call it portraits instead of headshots, and obviously keep the fullbodies as fullbodies. Basically, a portrait would be anything that's not a fullbody, from a chest up to a knee up, whatever - just a partial view of the character. :p They'd all be priced similarly, and come with a background unless requested otherwise.

The reason why I'm thinking of doing it this way is because a knee-up drawing actually doesn't take that much more effort than a headshot, for me at least. But I wanted to know what y'all would think of those two types of pieces were priced the same. -- I'd also like to know what exactly I should price these things at, so some help with that would be great. xD

---

And then, there's the fullbodies. Currently, I charge extra on whether or not you want what I call an 'abstract' background or not, but I'm thinking about ditching that and just charging one flat price for fullbodies, and if the commissioner can choose whether or not they want abstract or transparent, no extra charge would be added. Once again, this is because abstract BGs don't take a whole lot of extra effort. But, also once again, I don't know how to price these, so.. yeah. :'D

I'm still debating on whether or not I want to start doing commissions that include detailed backgrounds, like environments. I'm still pretty rough at doing full-scale backgrounds like that, but I feel like I'll never get the practice if I don't force myself to do it. I dunno. Let me know if you think I should do them, judging by the examples I have, and how much I should charge. (Keep in mind they do take significantly more effort than the rest of my pieces):

Aaaand last but not least, banners. Will likely charge a flat rate for these, but once again, don't know how to price. To be honest I'm much more willing to do environment-type backgrounds on banners than avatars, because of the smaller scale, so a banner with that kind of background wouldn't have a huge price increase compared to an abstract one. Let me know what y'all think I should price these at.

Oookay... I think that's it. If you've read this far, congrats. xD

Anyways, yeah. Honestly I mainly want to know how I should be pricing my art, but any tips on organization would be super helpful too. Thank you! ^^

I like the portrait, fullbody and banner organisation.

I can't really give much help on pricing, as I'm not super involved with selling my own art/purchasing others art so I wouldn't really know.

I mean their extremely good and if you do open it again the iÂ’d say head shots for 1 Apple or 1200 mush, full bodies 2 Apple or 2400 mush- 2 apples 500 mush or 2900 mush, and lastly banners about 1 Apple or 1200 mush- 1000 these are mostly put into intervals for the different difficulties and simplicities. Just know I did convert them to what most people say Apple are worth which is 1200 mush. I hope this helps, itÂ’s just what I thought would suit it best.

Portraits: one-two apples (probably an extra 500-1,000 mushrooms depending on what type of portrait it is)

Fullbodies with and/or without abstract backgrounds: two apples and 600 mushrooms

Fullbodies with a detailed background: at least four or five apples; although you're new to detailed backgrounds you're already amazing at them and you can only get better.

I'd recommend upping the prices just a *little* bit for extra characters too, instead of just 500 mushrooms. But that's just me.

Sorry if it seems I'm lowballing on prices, I just want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to buy your art (as to me it was a very special experience ^^;).
