Alert Alert: This is a flexible enddate, the date can very well be extended (not shortened) if I notice people struggling, or I feel like more time is needed. I will most likely make a poll to ask how yalls are doing and if more time is needed. What is this Contest and How does it work:

So I do this Contest whenever I am gone from WP for many months and then returned, the first Scavenger Hunt was in Octotober 2022. And I have made one yearly since. And cause I love throwing stuff at people^^

I did this a few times now and they were always a hit, so here I go again :)

Intent: Bascially this game will test your knowledge on WP, EVERY Link on this WP is free game for me. What I mean is, every Guide on WP could be used by me for a question, every forum post such as past suggestions could have been used by me etc. This may also include my den page and my past post history.

There will be Tiers rising in difficulty, please do not complain about the higher tiers. I have adjusted the difficulties after past reactions from others, but it may still not be perfect for you. If you don't know the answer, that is ok, you will not be winning a million dollars (or other IRL currency you use) from this contest, all just a contest made in good fun.

The Do's and Don't (also known as rules)

Do Not do this:

- You may not mention anything related to an answer in the forum post, if you do, you will be reported, removed and the question will be removed and replaced

- You may not PM me asking for any hints, if I think a hint is needed, I will add one.

- You may not be in chat and ask for the answers, of course Im not on 24/7 and can't check but if I see you doing that, the question will be removed and replaced and you will be removed from the contest. This is only if I see it happening. Many players may not be in this contest, and may ask a question that is also in this Scavanger Hunt, I of course won't do anything about that. So leave them be and don't report this stuff to me

- Bothering other Players for an answer in pms isn't allowed either, if I am notified of this (with evidence of course) you are out of the Contest.

- DO NOT ask me in the end how many points you got, or why you didn't win. I usually make a list of common questions that were missed by many and will give the correct answers

- Do not simply copy and paste an answer you found on a guide for instance or other forum posts, please answer in your own words to show a real understanding. Of course if its just a date or a small thing, thats no problem.

The Do's:

- Be subscribed to this forum (you can do Subscribe to OP so you only get Mail when I post) or at least check-in once in a while in case I change any rules or make updates. Especially check in towards end of Contest, in case something major changed before you send PM. But for the biggest changes, I will do my best to PM everyone

If you don't do this, I will not be at fault if you miss important new info. If I have specific info for you, there is a good chance I will just quote your post and ask, I may also pm you but thats not a gaurantee, so check for updates here and there. The new updates will be pinned to the front of the post, so on page 1 or page 2 if I post too much.

- PLEASE PM me your response ONCE you are DONE. You may NOT go back on your answers because I cannot and will not keep track of any changes. What you PM Me is FINAL.

- PLEASE INCLUDE the Contest (so say Scavanger Hunt) and Tier Number as the subject to the PM, thank you!

- For commonly missed questions I will post the right answer in the end, so don't bug me on this subject

- Please Keep in mind that after a certain length, PMs won't go through (the max characters seems to be at 5000, you can check this by typing in mail box and looking at bottom right corner ). So please do this:

For Tier 1 where I have 20 questions, you will pm me the first 10 questions in 1 message, with title/subject of Mail being ' Contest/Scavenger Hunt: Tier 1, prt. 1 (this will be first 1-10 questions) and your answers must be NUMBERED. So, for example, Answer format: Q2. are dogs blue?

Then send me the next pm with subject/titel being: Contest/Scavenger Hunt: Tier 1, prt. 2. With the answers format also being numbered + answer

If you do not do it like this, it will not be my fault if not all your answers came through

The Points and Reward system:

Points info also includes some rules so read carefully:

- The total potential points themself only matter within the Tier, so you naturally need to get as many points as you can

Every question is worth 1 point, with the following exceptions:

- If 1 question comes with a bonus question, this means the first question is worth .5 points, and the bonus is worth 1 full point. This way you don't have to answer the bonus question if you don't know it. But you cannot answer the bonus question, without answering the first question (the one worth .5 pts)

Example:

The question: Are dogs awesome? ( this would then be worth .5 points)

Bonus: Why are they awesome? (this would be worth 1 full point)

Answer: Two options, either I don't answer the bonus question, only the main question and get half a point. Or I answer the bonus question AND main Question, not just the bonus question, and get 1.5 hours.

- If one question has two parts without me writing 'bonus' or anything else, then all questions have to be answered in order to gain one point. If however 1 of the questions are answered incorrectly, you lose .5 points. In some multi step questions, I will state how many questions must be answered right for a full or half point, that rule will then trump this one.

Example:

The question: Can a dogs fur be blue? Can a cats fur be blue? Why or why not? (answering them all right gets 1 point, but only answering 1 of them right gets you a total of .5 points because .5 was takent off since you didn't answer both questions right)

- Points also do not stack, if you get 2 questions right in Tier 1 and 4, then you will not have 7 points total because each Tier gets its own set of rewards.

Prizes:

Please note, a Player may only be able to win max. two out of the 4 tiers, more explained below.

There will be three winners per Tier, every Tier winner has a choice of 1 out of 3 pelt dyes (go to customs to check out their looks), the first winner gets first choice, second then chooses and the last dye goes to 3rd winner.

ALERT ALERT: You MUST respond within three gamedays (starting when contest ended so 6th September) which dye you want or you will have to forfeit the ability to choose, and get the one leftover. You can also PM me that you will be gone, but please note I will not wait around for long, and I will then ask the next winner too choose. But no worries, we can discuss more in pms :)

Any prizes here will be yours, do want you want with them. heck if you don't like them, you can even toss them in hidden falls if you want xd

Mush and Apple Prizes: 30 apples and 40.2k mush is also up for wiinings

Tier 1:

These dyes will be available to choose from: Warrior, Bloodborne and Royal dye

Exceptions to these Prizes:

If there is a tie where two Players have same points in a tier and both have a chance of being 1st or 2nd place, I will be using a randomized spinning thingie from the internet. Forgot what they are called, but I will show proof of it, if that were the case. First name will get the higher Tier Prize

If a Player gets 1st place in 3 Tiers, they will get the first place rewards from two of the lowest Tiers. So if Player A got Tier 1, 2 and 4 right; they will get the first place rewards Tier 1 and 2 NOT 4 and 2.

Bonus Reward:

If a player gets EVERY QUESTION right from EVERY Tier, they will be able to get the first place reward of EVERY TIER. That would be 16 apples and 20k mush; yummy (and first round choice of the pelt dye per Tier) If a player like this exists in the contest, then other players will only be able to fight for 2nd spot, so try to get them all right for a chance of winning way more apples :OO.

Side Notes:

- There is no set answer format for every question, as long as you give the right answer in your explanation, you can explain it in whatever way you want. Remember not to copy and paste chunks of text

- Don't worry about me organising the pms, I have got a handle on it. And ADD the question and your answer, thanks!

- If you have questions, please post them in the forum, unless your question involves the answer to a Scavenger Question then you may PM me, but you shouldn't be asking me for any hints anyways so be wise what PM you send me.

- there are a set number of questions to answer per Tier, BUT you don't have to answer them all if you can't. You are able to win by answering less questions and getting them correct, because other players could have answered all and gotten less right than you did. So basically try your best, though I do suggest answering them all even if your unsure

- Some questions may be Premium related, as in premiums have a feature that can help them answer a question. BUT the answers can ALWAYS be found somewhere else on WP, usually in forums. So just keep a looking

- Reminder: Some questions may be about me, this means everything inside my den and in forums is something you should look

Tier 1 (20 questions), about the most basic WP things so reading WP rules and basic guides will be very useful here:

Tier 2 (10 questions), I suggest reading everything under the Help section and the rules listed in every forum section:

2. Another Scenario: Player A has a new idea for a game suggestion, they decide to go to the Polls section in forums and asked the WP community what they thought of it. Was this the correct place to post? If it wasn’t, where should they have posted their suggestion?

3. Next Scenario: Player A has now found the right place to post their suggestion, a mod points out that this suggestion was already made and that they should have done a board search. What is a board search? How does one do it in forums (please state where and how exactly to do this)

4. How can you block a player (Warning, do not give me an example, simply state how)

5. What is Pack happiness?

6. What items do you need for the following potions (please list the ingredients and to what potion they belong to, so not just the ingredients)

Tier 3 (10 questions), time to gather all your brain cells and get creative with your searches:

1. Scenario:

   1. Player X believes that the next terrain can only be unlocked after reaching level 10 in their current terrain. I (Cries) have my desert Terrain at level 5, mountain is at 6. And yet my Tundra is unlocked. Now Player X told me that this is a bug, Player Z says no that is supposed to be possible. Who is in the right and why?

2. What is the cooldown time in an alliance battle before you can attack again?

3. Scenario:

   1. Player A has announced and promised they will make a 1k talent stud at the end of the month. They have now made a contest promising breedings to this future Stud. Is this allowed? Why or why not?

4. Tell me what the following stats do in the game (all must be answered correctly for a point):

   1. Battle

   2. Resolve

   3. Agility

   4. Spirituality

   5. Maternal

   6. Charisma

5. How can one search for the future weight of a Pup?

   1. Bonus:
      1. Player X wants to know if their pup will be a HW, what minimum weight do they have to look for, in order to see if the pup is HW?

6. Who were Moonbeam and Moonlight? List one special aspect about them (this answer can be tied into the first question if you want, or list another special aspect^^)

- I noticed that I did not explain that if someone wins every Tier, they also get first choice of every dye in the tiers. Should several winners exist, a random spinning wheel will be done

- for Tier 4, Q 4 regarding social. You must explicitly explain how pups can gain social (what event and where). Same with the Bonus question
