They are common (unless a uncommon+ one is added.) so it won't make the rarity higher.

They could sometimes go for a bit, not all the time though. It will also boost the rarity score and you could get an award if it meets the requirements. But thats it I believe.

The fact that they are rare. If you feel like rarity does not matter, then that is okay. It's all personal preference. But many like rare wolves because they are rare to get.

Just noting that the highest possible rarity is now 118 with a dynamic pelt.

Dynamic isn't genetic, it's random. So if you minus 45 ( the rarity score of a genetic coat ) from the rarity of both parents, then the pup will have a rarity similar to that.

What Xeno said, although ptarmigan feathers, which (slightly) increase the chance of pups with dynamic coat, seem to work better with dynamic parents.

Where does Dynamic coats fall on the spectrum though? Is is rarer than Legendary? i bred my two starter commons and got a '(Dynamic) Honey 1' coat.

Dynamic bases are even rarer than Legendary ones, adding 45 points to the wolf's Rarity Score. Like other traits rarer than Common, they aren't inheritable and only happen randomly.

I'm pretty sure parents having the coat increases chances of getting the same coat by a little.
