Plot Setting Scotland Aspen Embers Riding Academy, is a known place for their beautiful feilds and forests, not to mention their state of the art arenas, courses and weekly competions. It is an honour to be accepted into the school, not only will the students learn alot they will thrive in the open spaces with their best friends. Students start on the first of September, and are expected to wear full uniform. Only a handful of students get picked, their ages range from sixteen to nineteen but they can stay on to compete and gain work experience in their fourth year, but only half of them carry on. ~ Aspen Embers Riding Academy has alot to offer, from vet courses to competition training, AERA has also got a breeding program and they encourage young inquisitive minds o participate. There is always something at AERA's (Acronym) whether it's show jumping, dressage or something else! There's training all year round until the big competition, be careful because talent scouts will be there! ~ Follow your career, what will it be? Show jumping, dressage, cross country, hunting, eventing, hunter/jumper or polo! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ |

Rules 1) Follow all wp rules, failure to do so will result in a mod being called and possibly a ban to the rp. 2) I do reservations for only 24hours and NO extensions. 3) I am expecting a 300+ word count, if you've got a writers block just pm me and I can let you know what to do. 4) I expect you to post atleast thrice a week. 5) Maximum of 2characters per pack unless this changes (1horse per character) 6) NPC's will be played by me unless stated otherwise. 7) LGBTQ+ if anyone has a problem about this...tough deal with it or don't signup. 8) No No Mary Sues, Gary Sues, god modding, etc. Your character isn't perfect. 9) Don't be that person that always gets in trouble or is a one shot in a battle, defence & offence. 10) Hate the character not the player. 11) Only I will be killing of characters but your welcome to ask. 12) I have the right to refuse applications so only 2chances. 13) Mark things as a WIP! I won't be able to tell otherwise. 14) Please follow the sign up sheet when you sign up, adding 1 or 2 is ok but don't completely change it. 15) If you've got more than one character they can't be related or have any romantic connection. 16) Make sure that the riders height and weight matches the horse, a rider can only be up to 20% of the horses body weight! 17) Keep your strengths and weaknesses balanced. 18) Paragraphs for appearance and personality. 19) Include the word Discipline or Estate in other so I know you've read the rules. 20) The Rules will most likely change so it's up to YOU to keep checking, not me. |

◊ Nickname(s): Ash, Corb, Ashy ◊ Gender: Female ◊ Height: 5'6 ◊ Weight: 134lbs approximately ◊ Sexuality: Closeted ◊ Age: 16 ◊ Year: First ◊ Horse: Shock ◊ Discipline(s): Eventing, Endurance for fun. ◊ Appearance: Ashley's got brunette hair, which is relatively short and rests on her shoulders. She's got blue eyes and freckles over her nose and under her eyes. Her ears and nose are peirced but she rarely has any peircings in, she usually has a couple bracelets around her wrists but takes a few of them for riding. She usually wears an oversized top and trousers although she wears trackies for comfort. Ashley's riding gear consists of black jodpurs, blue polo shirt and when she's cold a base layer or jumper, she usually wears a body protector but only when doing jumps. ◊ Personality: Ashley is introverted and prefers being alone with her thoughts and horses, it would take someone she really liked to open up. If she's not at the stables she's usually curled up with a book with a weighted blanket. He's got a beatiful coat or that's just what his owner says. ◊ Personality: He's quite reckless when he's in the feild, he enjoys playing with his feild mates and has the zoomies when he's excited. (Bell is complete) ◊ Name: Bellaire ◊ Show Name: Dirty Deeds Gone Dirt Cheap ◊ Name Pronunciation: BELL-AIR ◊ Nickname(s): Hells Bells, Bell Boy, Bell ◊ Gender: Stallion ◊ Age: 15 (fourth year steed if that's acceptable) ◊ Breed: Off The Track Thoroughbred (OTTB) ◊ Height: 16.5 hh (Approx 66 Inches) ◊ Weight: 1100LB ◊ Discipline(s): Mainly Show Jumping but he does well in dressage as well ◊ Appearance: Bell is a tall stallion, standing at 16.5 hh and weighing 1100LBs. This big guy is a beautiful dapple gray thoroughbred with a darker gray coat and light spots. Bellaire is quite sleek, with a long neck and legs that drip elegance. His muzzle is long and lean with a slight slope to it. His roman nose flows beautifully into the rest of his face which holds a bald marking. His coat is particularly shiny, even for a thoroughbred, making him sparkle in the sunlight. On his back is a patch of a medium gray in the shape of a saddlepad. Bell's right front leg has an ankle sock, while his left front leg has a half sock. His back right leg has a half pattern and his left back leg has a full sock. Each extend down, turning his hooves white. His eyes are a deep blue with lighter flecks in them. They say the eyes are a gateway into one's soul, Bell's are intelligent, cold, with a hint of softness to them.  ◊ Personality: Bellaire is a very proud horse, he tends to look down his muzzle at those he deems insignificant and does not tolerate riders that dont know how to handle themselves on a horse. Bell seems to be full of himself, after having won the kentucky derby he views himself as better than all the other horses. He hardly goes and socializes with the rest of them, sticking to his own corner of the paddock and running the others off if they get too close to what he calls "his spot". The bell boy is very hoity toity so to speak, he hates when mud gets in his hooves, and you wont catch him rolling around in the dirt unless the flys are unbearable. He's always been one to hold his head up high, frowning down at dirty tack and unkept buckets. Bellaire is stubborn and picky, he makes quick judgements on if he likes you or not and if he doesnt like you? Forget about riding him. The stallion isn't afraid to kick or throw a rider into a fence if he doesnt appreciate the way he's being handled. Oddly enough though, before he fell into the hands of Dane, a small child had found his way into Bellaire's stall. The large horse turned into a big puppy, and gently played with the child until his parents came to get him. He enjoys little kids, which is quite weird given his disgust towards adults and teenagers, although he has to note, he doesnt appreciate it when they hit his muzzle. The kid he met when he was younger, actually grew up to become his best friend and owner, Dane Jones. Dane is one of the few people who Bell actually enjoys spending time with...granted that affection was mostly achieved through bribery via apples, but hey, an apple a day keeps the vet away, right? Contrary to his uptight exterior, Bellaire acts like a big baby when Dane is around, practically sprinting over to him when he hears Dane call his name. But on the odd occasion, the pair will be seen chasing one another around the arena when Bell throws a fit and decides he is not being ridden that day. Bell isnt the most caring of horses, even when it comes to his buddy, typically playing hard to get if he realizes he's not going inside for dinner or a bath, but rather to be ridden. He's very finicky about his tack and the way it's placed on him, constantly nipping at his rider if the girth is too tight, the bridle doesn't feel right, or if they simply just aren't clean enough for him. Bell's rule of hoof is that if he cant see his reflection in his saddle, it needs to be shined again! Bell isnt an "aggressive" horse, but he simply does not tolerate humans' bullshit. He likes his personal space and doesnt appreciate it when people or other animals come into his stall. And although he may not be super kind, he hates it when Dane is sad and will (regretfully) give him Bell's version of a hug. As long as no one is nearby to see him do it that is. ◊ Spooks: Bellaire isnt the most jumpy horse you've ever met, having been racing since he was two and ending it at the age of 5, he's used to the roaring of crowds and kids running around the place. But, he must say, bags...and puppies...are the most terrifying things he's ever seen. He's been known to bolt at the sight of such monsters and run for the high hills... ◊ Likes: Bellaire loves carrots and apples, they might just be his favorite things in the world. Give him an apple, he might just end up being your best friend. (He prefers granny smith by the way. Macintosh are too gritty and mushy for him). He also loves to be pampered, baths in honey scented soap, spa days, massages. He actually quite enjoys when his rider braid his mane and tail. ◊ Dislikes: Stupid people, machintosh apples, and most of all. Plastic bags and puppies. The devil's creations. He also hates spiders. Creepy little things crawling around on him is simply not civil! ◊ Strengths: Bell is quite a fast horse in short sprints and at a slow canter he can keep up his stamina for a period of time. He doesn't spook at most things, not even the sound of a gunshot since he had been around them at races. ◊ Weaknesses: Bell cant run at full speed for a long period of time and he isnt the strongest horse you've ever met. He hates getting messy and therefore will not walk into mud, for any reason. ◊ Other: His personal favorite disipline is show jumping. He loves to feel like he's the center of attention. -- WIP ◊ Full Name: Dane Jones ◊ Name Pronunciation: N/A ◊ Nickname(s): Dane / Songbird ◊ Gender: Male ◊ Height: 5'11" ◊ Weight: 160 LB ◊ Sexuality: Closeted Bisexual ◊ Age: 19 ◊ Year: Fourth ◊ Horse: Bellaire ◊ Discipline(s): Mainly Show Jumping but he dabbles in dressage and liberty work from time to time ◊ Appearance: Dane is on the taller side of the spectrum, standing at 5'11" and has a slim build. Dane doesnt have many scars, aside from a few barcodes on his forearms and one on his thigh from a time he fell off his horse and onto a fence as a kid. His skin tone is rather pale, making him appear as though he's never stepped foot into the sunlight, rest assured though, he gets plenty of vitamin D. Dane's hands are calloused, some people call them rather feminine due to how slender his fingers are, but they're anything but soft. Throughout the years, rope burn and the thin strings of his guitar have made them rough and they tend to crack. He has a long oval shaped face, a sharp jawline and a long, pointed nose. His royal blue, almond shaped eyes have flecks of gold in them, giving them dimension and a warmer tone. Dane's eyes are a telltale sign of how he's feeling, usually soft and kind, they turn stormy when he gets angry. A few freckles dot the bridge of his nose and extend down his chest and back. He has proud cheekbones and a bright smile that's frequently found on his face to display happiness at all times. His lips are thin and a pale pink color and it's not uncommon to find them chapped. Seriously, someone needs to teach this boy about chapstick. His features normally hold a bright grin, no matter what situation he’s in. His arms are long and thin but dont be fooled, Dane is quite strong, after all, he has to wrangle Bellaire every day. When he has his jacket off and he flexes, every group of muscles in his arm is defined. Dane's short black hair has naturally navy blue undertones in it, showing up more frequently in the sun. His hair is usually a mess of soft locks curling and laying at weird angles on his head. Dane is typically wearing a white or black AC/DC t-shirt. His jeans are a light, worn out blue color with dark spots scattered over them. They are ripped up and torn in places. He tends to have his favorite pair of boots on when in the barn, but everywhere else, you'll find him in sneakers. Outside of the barn, Dane is usually wearing a hoodie, the pattern varies but it's normally in shades of his favorite color, blue. When he's showing though, he wears a velvety black helmet, with a black four snap stretch competitor coat. He wears tan breeches with a knee patch, black lace up boots, and black leather gloves. ◊ Personality: ◊ Likes: Dane loves reading books and playing guitar, it's not exactly uncommon to find him playing by a fire or reading aloud to Bellaire. He especially enjoys it when Bell pokes his head over the stall door and ruffles his hair. It lets him know he's appreciated. ◊ Dislikes: Let it be known that Dane is terrified of spiders! If he finds a spider, he tends to go running for the high hills or a table at the very least. He also hates peas, textures drive him nuts. ◊ Other: |
