Pride Waters
Summers for the Khomodimo pride have always been known to be hot and dry. Like for most lions, the dry season is a struggle, but ultimately they've learned to adapt. They're also lucky enough to have one of the only watering holes in the area that takes the longest to dry up. Knowing how fortunate they are to never have to worry about their water source disappearing, the Khomodimo pride has never kept other species' from drinking, even other lions were welcome to cross into their territory to drink, albeit only to drink.
This year, though, was different. From the get go things were hotter and dryer than before, the lack of moisture in the air and the way the dry grasses seemed almost burnt by the sun primised them that this summer would be one for the books. Trusting their instincts, the Khomodimo pride moved closer to their watering hole, the Qwee Pan, knowing that they and the prey they hunted would rely on it.
Still, they kept their amicable attitudes about their water source, allowing other animals to come to it to quench their thirst. It went against their nature, but they knew water was a necessity for all animals, and they would not be the cause for unnecessary deaths.
However, this year it seems another group is intent on taking advantage of this kindness. A group of hyenas have moved into a small territory next door, purposely keeping their dens away from the borders so that the resident lions of the territory next door weren't aware of their presence at first. These hyenas began to venture into the territory, only for the watering hole at first. Then they began to test boundaries, showing up to scavenge kills, and even ending hunts on the territory.
For a while the lions were tolerant, trying to understand that this was a difficult time for everyone. However, as altercations between the Khomodimo Pride and the neighboring Hyena clan became more frequent, they begin to wonder, how long until they have to fight for what's rightfully theirs?
Knowing eventually they'll have to fight the Hyenas back off their territory, and remind them who was gracious enough to let them drink, or come some sort of peaceful agreement between the two groups.
They're just some lions chillin' until they're no longer cool enough to chill.

The Roleplay Rules
Follow all of Eve's and WP's Rules
1. Lets be as active as we can be. I myself have finicky activity, so lets just keep the ball rolling, even if it's a slow roll.
2. I would say this is about Semi-Literate. 100 Words Per Post is the Minimum for Rp Posts. It's also the minimum for each Description in Forms, so Personality, Appearance, so on.
3. Maximum of 4 Character Per Person
4. This is a Semi-Realism to Realistic Rp. So only a few White lions will be accepted, and no Melanistic Ones will be. Also, keep this in mind for hunts and fights too. A single lioness can't body a male lion in a fight, or take down most prey on her own.
5. You may use Free to Use Stock from Deviantart for this Rp. However, follow all of Eve's and Wp's rules for using them, as well as the TOS of the Artist who created the stock.
6. Going with the rule above, I'll check images first, if the image is wrong, I won't even look at the rest of the form. So make sure your images are done correctly.
7. Please ask before having some sort of roleplay event, i.e hyenas, poachers, storms, etc. We don't want a constantly barrage of things and to never progress the plot.
8. For the Purpose of this Rp I'm Limiting the Cubs per Litter at 1 - 3 Per Lionesses. I would prefer it to be 1-2 though.
9. I will create rules for the Pride to follow in Rp once all Lead Roles are taken, as I would like to work on them together.
10. No Godmodding, Perfect Characters, etc. It shall not be tolerated.
11. Have fun!
For funsies, put your favorite character from the Lion King Franchise in your other form. I will judge you, but still love you.

What Should the Pride do About the Hyenas? Given the fact that he has certain.. affiliations in the pride, he feels strongly about the presence of hyenas. While he will not speak on behalf of the pride, Sekou has taken it upon himself to linger near, hoping to protect certain individuals within it and ensure that no hyenas venture too close for any.. easy pickings. Like, for instance, any cubs.
Appearance:
Sekou is a male who stands at a modest height of 4 feet at the shoulder with a weight of approximately 536 pounds. His overall physique is that of a muscular one, with a broad frame and powerful legs. He walks as if he's constantly on the prowl, with his head lowered and body shrunken in a leisurely stroll. Overall, he appears rather intimidating given the several scars that adorn his fur due to a rather rough start to life, predominately upon his back and sides. Despite his scars, there is a certain regal air about him; he carries his lineage with pride. When he walks, despite prowling, it is indeed with confident strides. His mane, which is a mix of golden and dark hues, frames his face in a neat manner, as if it had been groomed. Truthfully, the male always appears neat and orderly. Green eyes, sharp and penetrating, are often fixated in a sharp glare, but never linger for long. Sekou always seems to study things quickly, but in that mere moment of watching, his gaze is commonly intense and focused. Being in a pride for only a few months of his life, Sekou has lived entirely on his own, fighting for survival constantly. His entire life has been a struggle, and so he has become resilient and rather skilled in both the mental and physical aspect. In terms of his coat, he takes on a more tan colour that is borderline yellow at times. He truly is on the saturated side, with a white underbelly and cream dotting his face and paws.

Sekou has always been independent and action-oriented, often engaging with his surroundings and pursuing any goals that he's had. He has always enjoyed a challenge, even as a cub. Resourceful, in the face of challenges and obstacles, he is quick to find creative solutions and adapt to changing circumstances. This allows him to thrive even in difficult or unfamiliar terrain. Not to mention, he hs street-savvy, and possesses a keen sense of awareness and knowledge that helps him navigate various situations effectively. Sekou can talk his way out of things, or fight, but regardless, he somehow always manages to escape. Just when you think that he's been defeated, he always manages to emerge once more. Despite his adventurous spirit, upon first encounter, Sekou is rather introverted. He prefers solitude or smaller, intimate gatherings over a large amount of company. In addition, while he may posses an intimidating appearance and a strong sense of independence, he is generally easygoing and amiable in his actions with others. He doesn't strike first unless others do first. However, it depends on the situation and who he's up against. For the most part, he's relatively docile. When it come to those that know him, they may find that he has a sharp wit and enjoys playful banter with friends. Sekou's sarcasm adds a layer of humour to most of his interactions, though it's often delivered with lightheartedness. Upon first meeting him, however, he is the opposite. Reserved and stoic, he often may seem judgmental or intimidating prior to getting to know him. In addition, he is an intelligent individual. He has a keen intellect and is a quick-learner, given his years spent as a rogue. When it comes to problem-solving, he approaches issues with a strategic mindset. He is skilled at assessing situations and weighing potential outcomes before taking action. It is important to note that Sekou, despite being adventurous and whatnot, is not reckless. He approaches situations with a dose of caution and consideration for potential risks. He's always alert, and that allows him to make informed decisions and remain safe during his wanderings. When it comes to more.. emotional traits, Sekou possesses a relaxed and carefree attitude most times, preferring to live in the moment. He finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. There are times where he may even act.. well, childish in a sense that he may prance around and whatnot and banter. If there's one thing for certain, he is skilled in survival and knows when to act serious or not. Fiercely loyal and protective, he would do anything for those he loves, and has been like that from a very young age. Crush: He doesn't speak of her often, but he has a lover.
