"It happens every Equinox. Every Solstice." "What does?" "They come out." ___________________________________ As anyone knows, the Equinoxes and Solstices are renown for their strange and uncanny chances of drawing out the ungodly, ill-willed creatures and just strange magicks. Near the town of Mesla, there is a rather large gate. Mesla is a traveling town along two kingdoms. This is where many of the royals, nobles, etc. stay from both kingdoms. It's one of the safest spots. Why? The renown protectors. These elemental witches, sages, wizards, whatever people call them, protect the town and this gate with an utmost pride. However, something in the shifting winds has everyone on edge. Something feels different about this equinox. Something... malicious. Will they be able to continue their protection? Rules: yeah, I know, every roleplay has them. 1) Please be literate (I don't mean like length, I just mean good grammar//spelling). Lengthwise? At least a paragraph or two. That's all we need. 2) Please have interesting characters and keep in mind their duties. 3) Only 1 (ONE) character per person at the moment. Image credits go to Yunomoto5 on Picrew/Twitter Xena Etheri has warm brown skin with vibrant blue eyes that jump out from her dark hair. Her clothing style is a strange mix between grunge and cottagecore with a ruffled shirt and cargo pants, boots and a fishnet top under her ruffled crop top. She stands about a good 5'6" and weighs only about 140 at most. Her fingers are dainty and gentle, always twirling around a strand of hair or something. She is always seen moving, never standing still. Her arcane-like abilities add a purple sheen to her eyes when in use while she tends to try and have more of a neutral color palette in clothing. Her flopped witch's hat compliments the hat of her familiar, Napo. __________________ Personality: Xena is bright, bubbly and vibrant in personality. She will willingly and knowingly drag anyone into conversation. For her, making friends is as easy as blowing a candle out. It might take a few tries but she'll make it eventually. Conflict and resolution isn't exactly her favorite thing to do. When contention rises, her first instinct is to separate the offending parties and speak to them one on one to understand the nature of the situation. She tends to give off more of the 'motherly' vibe when it comes to being in an entire group setting. Xena can get lost in thoughts however and will constantly apologize for things that may not be her fault entirely. It's a habit she has picked up from somewhere. Where? She's not even entirely sure. She is absolutely terrible at hiding any/all of her emotions however. A poker face is not something she can keep up for long. _____________________

| Sorrel Laurier a plant "Well.. shut up and hope your problems do too." Oh, if only. ~~~~ Unspecified, more feminine looking Somewhere between 160-180, they've kind of lost track (but dont tell anyone that-) August 29th | Virgo Bi-curious Nature ~~~~ Sorrel stands at about 5'9½, being on the taller end. They arent exactly muscular, but overall has decent strength if it really comes down to it. She weights somewhere around 140-150 pounds, with a more pear-ish body type. This fluctuates a little bit depending on a lot of factors. Overall, They arent the mainstream 'perfect body', but they're proud of what they have! Sorrel rocks strawberry blonde almost light brown shoulder blade length hair. Its naturally somewhat curly and likes to poof up and become very frizzy on occasion, especially during the colder months. When the suns out, it develops some natural highlights and looks interestingly like it's not natural. All because it's such a pain, Sorrel almost never leaves it down, it's almost always kept in a loose braid or similar style. Sorrel has quite vibrant heterochromia; you couldnt miss it if you passed her somewhere. Her skin is very lightly tanned, and contrasts against the darker freckles and odd splotches that dot her body. They're normally seen wearing very traditional colors and clothing: a lightweight top with a leather jacket or some other heavier material, because it gets cold! This normally paired with cropped jeans and dark grey combat boots. Nothing too crazy, but at least shes never too cold. ~~~~ Sorrel.. is quite the ball of fun, to put it sarcastically. Overall, they have a very chaotic energy and never seems to be ready for anything, even as simple as a walk to the park. Why? Most likely because shes so busy trying to be meticulous with everything else that it just passes her by without a thought. This obviously can be quite annoying and irritating if anyone at all in the world was waiting for her, but oh well. It could be worse? Once random thing Sorrel would (probably) be good at? Overthrowing members of a government/ and or leaders. She just has that 'I'm fine, your fine, it's fine' moto; in times of peril it's quite easy for her to adapt, even if shes never prepared for anything. Sorrel prefers to work by themself, but wont turn down something if it comes to it. It's not like they're scared to, it's that they feel like something big will happen if they dont go. Especially during these times, shes always scribbling every little thing down and often has random ink stains and such on her hands. Always makes for an interesting conversation however! ~~~~ Sorrel is often armed with a pistol-like weapon that she found forever ago. If this isnt of reach, she'll use anything from a stick to a shoe. ~~~~ A book, but at this point it doesnt look exactly like a book, it's more just a jumble of pages together. ~~~~ Sorrel has quite an interesting companion. Nothing like a cat, or a bird- a squirrel. It sounds quite odd at first, seeing as they arent exactly the most interesting creatures- but.. it happened. This squirrel's named Birch after the darker spots on its back. ~~~~ Sorrel sometimes refers to herself in third person. | |

Name: Iluna Argia Gender: biology female prefers they/them Age: 111 Role: dark Orientation: Not interested Personality: kind in their own way, Iluna tends to be overly logical and sometimes thinks that their way is best, they are a decent problem solver but often times thinks in the wrong direction. Iluna is a decent person though clumsy and make mistakes they are a bit friendly and has very questionable decision making... Iluna is very hard to take seriously and is always optimistic and making the wrong decisions... Appearance: they have long wavy raven black hair usaly pulled back in a braid or a ponytail and green eyes they have a slender build and large eyes. Stands at maybe 5ft give or take. Weapons: the only weapon Iluna is the slightest bit capable of is a bow almost always hits the target. Base: the most random thing ever...... A small stick........ Familiar: for some reason a pure white cat named twilight... Other: I cannot draw humans |
