“Disquietude” Feelings of anxiety that make you tense and irritable Two wolf packs that equally don't like each other, forced to work together due to the winter nearing rapidly. Prey is scarce, winds are cold, and teeth are bared. A sickness similar to tuberculosis and rabies starts getting passed throughout both packs, which seems to be sourced from prey as well as bodily fluids. There doesn't seem to be much you can do for the ill as some wolves will find out. Soon it becomes very apparent that younger and older wolves get more sick than middle aged wolves, and tend to succumb to the illness rapidly. The illness causes terrifying symptoms, such as foaming at the mouth, coughing blood, loss of appetite, confusion, and fever. . this is a fairly laid back roleplay, you dont have to follow the plot 100% Rules -eves rules-respect people, don't be a dick-realistic patterns and colouration -think realistically -bare minimum 2 paragraphs, though try your hardest to keep over 3 -bare minimum 6 sentences -4 characters per person, can earn more by being an active roleplayer (max 8 per), only 1 high role per person -codeword is “pencil” put it in other -dont god-mod, make mary sues, op characters -don't be cringe -try to keep things equal -credit all images correctly - follow this format before posting a reply “Name | Age | Pack | Role | Mentions:” -no love at first sight or active roleplaying with yourself (eg. mates) -reservations last 48hrs -human activity exists, but realistically, wolves would not interact. The packs are based on the side of the Matterhorn mountain in the Swiss Alps. Süd is based on the lower parts of the territory, below the ledges, cliff faces and overhangs. It is in a valley and a glacial cirque, their dens being inside the valley. The pack’s water comes from the stream that flows through said valley. Süd also has their territory amongst the Matterhorn town, and comes across tourists and locals often, though they always leave each other alone. Norden is based at the top of the territory. Norden’s dens are near Zmuttbach and Seebach, at the northwest of the territories. The most common death among the packs is from wolves who don’t look where they are going, and end up falling into the valley. Matterhorn contains a lot of rocks, snow and ice. Süd Pack Süd territory is fairly flat and rocky, with its outer edges being covered in low grass and shrubbery. There is a slight river, left over from rain, melting snow, and glacial melting. The rocks are jagged and not smooth, but seem to be easy to walk on if you know how to. It’s easy for wolves to slip on the rocks because ice forms easily in this area. Sometimes wolves of Süd will gather on the rocks to soak up the sun and heat up. Their dens are usually in caves formed by glacial erosion. These dens normally house over 4 wolves, depending on their size. Because of the uphill grass, when it rains or snows, the water rushes to the valley. A lot of the water in the stream is too muddy to drink, so Süd wolves can be left to soak up rainfall with moss to keep their thirst quenched. Norden Pack This pack's territory is mountainous and lacks grass. Snow covers most of the ground but luckily isn’t terribly icy underneath. While they aren't too far away from Süd, the temperature is definitely colder higher up. Norden wolves live up on the ridge and by Zmuttbach and Seebach. The mountains give slight cover from the sun in the morning, but that’s the time of day they’d almost beg for the sun to warm them up. |

Role Descriptions Alpha The leaders of the pack, whatever they say goes. The alpha pair will always be mates, so if the alpha does not have a mate, there will only be one alpha. The alphas are obviously the most dominant, that means it is their job to keep every wolf in line, and happy. Alphas make the decisions. Beta The second-in-commands, they help the alphas with their decisions and are like the alphas’ social arm. Betas are the Alphas successors, no matter if the alphas have pups, though betas may sometimes be the alphas’ pups. Betas do the alphas’ more menial jobs. Gamma They train the juveniles in the role they wish to specialise in and are physically able to do. There is a gamma in every role and that gamma will teach their juveniles the role. Gammas are the leaders of each role, organising hunts, scoutings, etc. Gammas have to be good with pups and wise in their skill. Herbalist The herbalist in the medicine in the pack, doing what they can with the resources the land provides. Some herbalists claim to have a connection with the gods, however religion isn’t widely practiced in the packs. Guards Former “Soldiers”, these wolves are the strongest and used to be battle wolves before the packs decided to work together, now, they defend the packs from predators like bears, dispersals, dogs and any particularly nosey humans. Hunters It’s all in the name, hunters hunt. They’re trained to work together to take down large prey and know when to leave each other alone to work on small prey. The key word for hunters is co-operation. Scouts Before the packs began working together, scouts would have been used more like spies. However now, they are only used to search for food due to their keen noses Elders Just old wolves living out the rest of their days. Elders are to be treated with respect for the years they dedicated to their pack and are never to be treated poorly no matter how poorly they treat you. Juveniles The young wolves that are training for their role, most of these wolves are optimistic and ready for the world. They’re excited for every morning because it means they can work even harder on their ambitions. Pups Newborn wolves under the age of one. . . WIP! Name: Korp Age: 3 yrs Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Role: Gamma Scout Desired Role: Gamma Scout Pack: Norden Appearance (At least 5 sentences regardless of whether an image is supplied, describe fur texture, scars, skin colour, eyes, etc.): Korp is a tall, thick bodied grey and blacked furred wolf, with dark brown eyes. Her back stripe fadeds into the grey and covers her whole tail. Her muzzle is a very light grey with a scar accross her nose like a bird. Her fur is soft and poofy, and she cleans it every day. Her nose is a dull pink and dark brown spotted color. Her ears are completly black with white spotted dips like her tail tip and cheeks. Her tail is very long and also poofy. Her paws are Personality (At least 7 sentences, include strengths and weaknesses, likes/dislikes optional): Korp follows rules like a smoke follows fire. She keeps other wolves in check and teaches others about right and wrong. She is very good with pups, and hopes to have her own someday. Her biggest weakness is her wanting everyone to follow orders. She acts strict and doesn't goof of as much as anyone else. Her souce of strength is her size. Though it may seem to be hard with being a scout, her fluffy paws quiet her steps and her color makes her look like a rock, which the moutains are full of. She can also seem intimidating to outsiders and is very good at taking down latge prey. She likes to run through the moutains and roll in snow, though Korp does hate when others try to imitate her, mocking how she follows rules. Backstory (At least 7 sentences, depends on age): Korp was raised by her mothers Brand and Rök, whom are know elders. When the sickness came around, she was terrified for her mothers, whom have surprisingly stayed well this whole time. When Korp was younger, her father had left the pack to wander alone and soon was found dead under a rock slide. Rök was destoyed, her heart ripped out from her. Rök and Gala were friends who confused love as siblings for love as mates. She would miss her friend, but came out of her grief shortly after Korp became a scout. Relations: Mother(s): Rök; Brand Father: Gala Infected?: No Rp example: Silver slinked through the forest, heading back to the Tribe Camp. Her kill of fresh elk smelled strongly, and her mouth watered at the taste. Even though she was walking, she felt the trees bend next to her. The camp was close, and soon she burst into the clearing and saw everyone below in the hollow they called home. They were sitting quietly around they camp, and she set her kill down on the prey pile. She jumped up and walked into her den, sitting down in the shade. The sky was a deep pinkish-purple, and she stared at the first appearing stars. Other: pencil |

Name: Thorn Age: 3 years old Gender: nonbinary(they/she) Sexuality: omni-pref for females Role:Guard Desired Role: Guard Pack: Sud Appearance: Thorn is a fairly normal brown and black wolf. Various shades of rich brown sit on her cheek fur, around her eyes in lighter shades, on their ears and on their neck fur. The brown is lightly in patches, mainly on her haunches, front of their paws and legs, as well as brushed lightly on her back. The black graises the unders of her eyes, around the top of their face and in an odd pattern, it goes almost in a circle on her cheek. Thorns unders are a bland cream color, her bodice is almost fully black. The female's eyes are yellow-y brown color, while her paw pads and nose are dark brown. Her claws are black and her teeth are a normal yellow-y white. biohazard lines my coloring 
Personality: Thorn is a quiet wolf, not really taking interest in other wolves' lives. Being a guard, Thorn enjoys being alone. She is pessimistic, bordering on nihilistic. Thorn believes that everything will die eventually so why not just try your best. They are scared of failing, failing in someone she loves eyes, failing at a task, failing to live up to her own standards. Sometimes she will make stories up in her head, somethings she would share if she ever had pups. They act self absorbed to act more like everyone else but it seems that makes others not like her, though she doesn't see that. She doesn't really have much of a nice/happy side, it's mainly just contentness and wanting to please others. Backstory (At least 7 sentences, depends on age): Being born to an unhappy mother in sud, thorn grew up learning things do not last. Her mother made sure to teach her that. Thorn as a juvenile was very happy to train as a scout, but her mother disagreed with it. Scouting is for girls and well guarding was for boys in her mothers eyes and so the young thorn was thrusted into guarding and excelled at it. Thorn tried her best to get top of her group so that her mom would be super happy about it. When Thorn became an adult, she came out as trans to her mother, while her mother wasn't very happy, they were. Thorn is now a guard in sud, her mother passed away two years ago and she likes being a guard. Relations: none currently(dm me?) Infected?: nope Rp example: Mole had been sitting under a bush for over an hour now and didn't have plans to move. While he did hear his mother yowling for him, he found this spot so cozy and warm, he just couldn't leave. When her yowling got closer, Mole finally got up, stretched and went to go find her. She was sitting with his siblings, all huddled up. “Mom, what is it?” he mewed while walking closer. He noticed that she had been crying and said, “oh mom what's wrong?” she didn't react to any of his words, nor to his presence. “Mom, I'm right here, what's wrong?” she continued crying and the little kitten realized what had happened. ‘They must have died and i'm seeing them before they move on’ but he couldn't remember them dying. -wip, probably will change this Other: god i am much better at replying to someone instead of just writing- |

. three . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . male (he/him) . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . bisexual . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . guard . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . gamma guard . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . süd . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . brighton is a dark pelted wolf, sporting a white streak on fur on his chest, as well as white on his chin, toes, underbelly and tail tip. he has a sloping back, which flows into his large haunches. his shoulders are rather square. brighton has a couple scattered scars on his pelt from occasional tumbles and scuffles, nothing too extreme, though. brighton’s eyes are a strong shade of yellow with paler flecks inside them. his skin is dark, the only way you could tell the difference between his fur and his nose is because of light. his fur is rather thick, but not long, only really keeping him warm and not others if they snuggle up to him. brighton is a rather big wolf, being ~33’’ tall and at healthy weight, 120lbs. brighton walks heavy-footed, making him prone to slipping on ice and sinking his whole leg into the snow. due to this, he can often be seen with his legs caked in clumps of snow; which, while that does give him water while he licks it off, can easily give him frostbite . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . brighton tries to be a dominant wolf, as much as he inherently isn’t. that being said, he isn’t too fond of the bossy part of dominance, so he does the more subtle things via body language. he holds his tail upwards, his chin up, placing his head on other’s backs, etc. he’d only do those things to wolves at his rank or below, he isn’t brave enough to do it to anybody above him. brighton is no eloquent wolf, he’s a bit of a jokester, he’s a bit annoying, he doesn’t want anybody to take him seriously. he tends to run on the optimistic side of life, that being said he is not good at cheering anybody or even himself up. like everyone, brighton does have his moments of hopelessness; not often, though. brighton is deathly afraid of heights, which isn’t terribly good considering he lives on a mountain. it’s why he wanted to be a guard, despite the other reasons of course. he thinks if he became a hunter or a scout he’d forget to look where he was going and would end up falling off a cliff or something, which he could do. he’s really just glad he was born in süd and not norden. even though brighton is a guard, he doesn’t think he could actually kill another wolf if it came to it, he’d rather give up his own life than vanquish another’s; at least for now since he doesn’t really have anything to live for, if he had a family then maybe he could bring himself to. but for now? definitely not. he is a bit of a compulsive liar, but he is good about coming out with the truth… eventually. the longest lie he ever caught himself in was for about four months, and as much as he no longer remembers what he lied about, he’s so relieved he got it off his chest. brighton is anxious around new wolves, though he may not show it. he is actually very extroverted. when he meets a new wolf, he’s usually very… “normal” outwards, but internally his heart is beating fast enough to power a small jet. brighton is prone to trusting wolves too easily, which can end him up in tough spots . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . brighton was born an only pup to his parents, so they had high expectations for him, always imprinting in his mind that he had to be alpha one day. during his pup-hood, brighton was the most extroverted, always wanting to be in charge of all the games the pups played and the way he’d make himself in charge was being older than the other pups, he could be older than another pup by even a day, but he’d still be in charge of them. his favourite game to play was hide and seek, always preferring to seek so he knew he wouldn’t freeze to death if the seeker never found him. growing up he’d actually first wanted to be a scout, because at the time scouts had a more fun job, getting to spy on the other pack in secret, however he wasn’t allowed to, since his dark pelt stuck out too much against the snow, his second option would have been hunter, however, once more, his pelt was too dark, so he ended up having to be a guard. brighton was terrified of being a guard, because while he was growing up the guards had to battle, but when the war calmed down during his time as a juvenile, he realised he may not even have to fight at all- just defend; and he was much more content with that. it was during his time as a juvenile that his mother passed away, and as much as it feels wrong to say it, he isn’t sure he even cared. his mother had always pressured him to be something he didn’t want to, always a loud fly buzzing in his ear. so, really, her being gone could be called the increase in his quality of life. when brighton became a fully fledged guard, he finally felt like his life had gained meaning, he now had a job to do and he’d be damned if he didn’t do it perfectly, or better than perfect! he always strived to over-perform, going the distance to make people see just how good he was at his job. he supposed this sprouted his need to become gamma, he wanted to perform well enough that he could train pups that were just like him to really be just like him. he’s calmed down a bit since then, realising that working extra hard didn’t make him better, it just made him too tired to actually perform his best . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . brighton has no current relations, please pm me if you wish to be one . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . he is not currently infected with the pestilence . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ . brighton’s large paws plodded against the icy ground, making his way toward the stream, begging he didn’t slip. the pack’s dens weren’t too far from the stream, it allowed them to get easy access, he supposed. he leaped over a particularly tall patch of grass which just so happened to be a big mistake; when his paws hit the rocks below, they slid forwards, making him land back down on the slippery surface with no stability. luckily, he was smart enough to try and catch himself… with his face. he lay there on the ground for a moment, trying to keep his vision from doubling with the taste of blood in his mouth increasing. yuck. he rose to his trembling paws, better to walk it off than to dwell on it. this time as he took off he made sure his footing was correct. after another minute or so he reached the stream, good, considering he needed to get the taste out of his mouth. the water seemed a funny shade of teal in this lighting, like the kind of water you’d see in the tropics. he lapped up the water, glad to have the taste out of his mouth as well as his thirst quenched. he decided to sit by the water for a bit longer, the chill feeling oddly great. the nice view settling the likely concussion he’d just gained… oh well . ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ brighton’s voice claim is jay, from band crywank. ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ brighton’s playlist ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎ ©281462 for image (me) |
