Appearance: Briggan is someone who just isn't tall, even though he is still growing, he isn't going to be naturally tall like some people, standing at five feet, two inches and he weighs about one hundred pounds, which he can't figure out if he is slightly underweight or what. It is kind of annoying to him, but he also likes that he can be underestimated due to height. It is clear that he is not made to have brute strength, instead, his build is wiry, made for speed and agility and stealth. He has muscle, but it is more like a feline's, lean but strong; and it is not very apparent when looking at him. Sure, he isn't strong as some are, but he can deliver a painful blow when he wants to. His skin color is olive with cool undertones, not really pale in color, but not very dark either, somewhere in the middle and leaning just slightly to pale. He moves like a feline would, easy and athletic, with a way of holding himself that says that he can hold his own in a fight you better not start a fight with him. Though sometimes he can slip in and out of sight like a shadow, in the corner of your eye one moment, then gone.

His eye color is a deep cobalt blue, akin to the depths of an ocean, the blue of the waters so deep that the light barely touches it. It is not a shade of blue that can be confused for grey at a distance. It is hard to parse what he is feeling by looking at his eyes, he is good at hiding his emotions, but sometimes something slips through; and that is when he is feeling an emotion very strongly. His eyes usually get darker when he is sad, they seem to flash with a flame when he gets mad or agitated, and seem to lighten when he is happy. His eyes don't actually change color like that, but they just look like it. Typically, the look in his eyes is sharp and alert, watching for something, observing his surroundings and the people around him. His hair color is a straight black, like a clear night sky with no moon to illuminate the darkness, and it is cut short. He has never been fond of long hair; too hair maintence, too annoying, too warm on the back of his neck, too much of a handhold in a fight, and he thinks he doesn't look good with long hair, which is actually true, so it is cut short. The length barely brushing the top of his ears.

He prefers casual clothing, nothing special or fancy, just normal clothing most people wear, not the biggest fan for graphic T-shirts or shirts; though he will wear one if he likes the style. His bearing, the way he stands usually, is upright, not slouching; sometimes he can look taller than he usually does because of the natural upright way he stands, not always, but sometimes. His face is guarded or blank, emotions not appearing on his face, sometimes in his body language or his eyes for a brief moment. He can be in the same place for a long time, just being still, either standing up or sitting down, to the point where others sometimes forget he is there until he suddenly starts moving again. His skin is marked here and there by pale scars, a distinctive mark is where a notch was taken out of his earlobe; made by a dog who attacked him and fortunately didn't take his entire ear off.

Personality: Briggan is a quiet person by nature, preferring to listen to the others talk and let him listen and observe. He never was a vocal person, he just preferred to talk on his own terms, and dislikes it when someone tries to get him to talk, it usually earns a flat look or a glare, depending on his mood. He will talk when he wants to, and he stays silent the rest of the time. Personally, he likes it, combined with his quiet nature and tendency of just staying still for so long, it means he can hear a lot of stuff, purely because others just forgot he was present; not like he has an air about him that demands attention or drags your attention to him. You could call him mysterious, though it is not purposeful, just the way he tends to keep his secrets locked within and how he lets others paint their own picture of what he is like, his habits somehow just give off this mysterious or secretive air. Again, he doesn't try to, it just ends up like that, and he doesn't know what to think of it. He isn't shy, it's just that he is reserved.

He hides his emotions most of the time, he doesn't like feeling like others can see what he is thinking just at a glance, doesn't like the feeling of being vulnerable; so he locks his emotions up and tries his best not to let them shine through. He is an independent person, he is not very willing to conform to someone just because they're the leader, his trust and respect needs to be truly earned for him to see someone as an authority figure, although he will go along with something if he sees he has no choice in the matter; but internally he would not be happy. He just is not a follower, nor a leader, his personality fits with a loner, but he does secretly enjoy company. He is an intelligent person, and even if he does not like taking orders from just anybody, he will obey out of common sense, don't put up a fuss, and make others think you're obedient; he may seem tricky by how he does things, but he sees it as using his smarts and common sense. He can be quite determined when he wants to be, and sometimes he can be quite stubborn, not liking to back down that often, and if he does back down, then he is not very happy about it. He is a patient person, not like a saint or anything, but he does have a good amount of patience, proven by his willingness to bide his time.

As a mostly private person, he is not someone to wear his heart on his sleeve, or go telling people stuff about himself easily. When he trusts someone, you can tell by him offering words more easily, or even sharing bits of himself every so often. It takes a while for him to trust someone, but once he does, that person has his loyalty and is under his protection, he can be protective, not overly so; but still overall protective of those he cares about. Under his quietness and hidden emotions, beats the heart of a survivor; someone who has survived things, and will keep on surviving; someone who will keep on fighting; and keep on enduring. There is a fire deep inside him, a fierceness that compels him to keep on fighting, that tells him to not back down, and drives him in a fight. Briggan is a kind person, he just doesn't show kindness or compassion or worry in ways that are obvious, usually little shifts in his personality, when really concerned, that is when he becomes less subtle and more obvious. Overall, he is typically a controlled, logical person, who comes off as either mysterious, tricky, or cold.

Likes: Briggan, unsurprisingly, likes the dark. He has always felt at home in the shadows or the night, opposed to some, who get a bit nervous in the dark, he is at home in it. Darkness means safety, it means you can be there without others knowing. He likes to mentally compare it to a blanket.

The cold. He as always preferred to be cold to being overly warm. You can do something about being cold, as with being hot, you can only just be still and suffer through the heat. The sharp, knowing chill always awakens something deep within him, he can't figure out what exactly; but he loves being in the cold.

Being alone. He typically likes being alone, just something about it, allowing you to think without being interrupted. Also the quietness has something going for it. Being in a group strikes his fancy sometimes, but he mainly likes the quietness of being alone.

Exercise. He enjoys moving around, running or climbing, sparring or fighting. Anything to stretch his muscles, get his heart pumping, and to feel that pleasant feeling of just exercising. Usually he likes to spar or fight, it just can't be beat in his opinion.

Freedom.

Animals, he has a soft spot for animals.

Nature.

Reading.

Dislikes: People encroaching on his free will and stuff. Sure, he knows that being restrained by people, taking away his freedom, will happen at least once, he'd prefer to avoid it really. But if it does happen, he will act like he doesn't care, while internally seething.

People who abuse their power.

People who act like he doesn't know better just because he is young. He has met people like that, and in his experience, they're demeaning, sure he is young, but he isn't stupid or immature. It just grates on his patience

Other people, sometimes.

The heat. He is sensitive to heat, and frankly does horrible in it. He is much better suited to the cold.

Being vulnerable. It's been mentioned before. Along with others trying to make him open up.

Strengths: One of Briggan's strengths is his observation and alertness. He is quite perceptive, a result of him watching others. And while he is probably not the best, he isn't the worst at it.

His small size. In a fight especially, he is swift and is deceptively strong for his lean appearance. It also means he can worm into smaller openings. It is sometimes hard to get a hold on him, and keep that hold, because he is not above fighting dirty; biting mainly, but he does know how to thrash in a hold and make it harder to keep him there.

His control over his emotions. Sure, there is a slip-up here and there, but at least he isn't prone to temper tantrums or something.

Being still and quiet, fading into the background.

His stealth.

The fact that he can fake compliance and obedience.

Weaknesses: He can be overly defensive.

His small size also means he isn't the strongest person around.

His independent drive alongside his stubborness can sometimes pose a problem.

He can come off as utterly indifferent to something, sometimes with his lack of emotions showing. Also his quietness, because he could use some work in something called "communication".

Appearance:

Gorōta resides at a height of 6’ 0”, though his back is usually hunched to where he looks 5' 10". His skin tone is a pale bisque with neutral undertones. He has plenty of freckles on his body, though especially at his cheeks, nose, and shoulders.

Gorōta has a rather oval face shape, meaning he has a smaller forehead and a smaller chin, but the middle of his face is wider, the whole thing on the smaller side. His cheeks are rather sunken despite this, and he swears that it’s just because he is always so busy, usually being said in a dismissive tone as he works. Now for the nose, something that rather dislikes, he has a hawk shaped nose, meaning it starts off the same way a ‘normal’ nose would, and then goes off the deep end at a slight angle, the tip of it a bit lower than the nasals. His lips are downturned thin in shape, making slight, timid frowns as his most often seen expression.

His eyebrows are rather thin, though with a slight arch. Despite them being thin and rather straight, the right eyebrow has a scar that starts a bit above the eyebrow to a bit under his eye. Finally, his eyes, the right of which he hates with a burning passion, they are deepset hooded in shape and a dark gray in color at his left one. His right eye, is missing, leaving only a socket that he prefers people would just not ask about. His face is framed by black hair that is most often found messy and in his face, the tips of all of it going just below the ears in length, the back going down to the nape of his neck.

His body structure could quickly be described as rectangular, a long torso matched with long legs, everything about him screams lanky. Especially when taking into consideration the fact that this man only weighs in at around 122 lbs, his BMI at 16.54 and being underweight by 15 pounds. He doesn’t even seem to notice the fact that he’s underweight, dismissing attempts to tell him by stating that he’s busy. He also sports quite a few scars too, the most prominent one is at his right eye, the other ones are mostly on his arms. Though, there is one at his neck, that he leaves completely unexplained, just like all his other ones too.

Gorōta is someone that cares about what people think of him, and it’s fairly obvious with how he dresses. He usually wears a gray or light blue collared shirt, blue jeans, a black cardigan, and gray/blue tennis shoes. Or more likely than the black cardigan- A black jacket with a white 5 on the back. As for accessories, the most obvious and his only one, is an eyepatch to cover his right eye.

Personality:

Gorōta is not the type of person someone would see as a people person. Stuttering with practically any sentence unless if he starts ranting, he can’t tell any social cues apart. He also ends up fidgeting under any type of stare, refusing to make any eye contact. He can also be jumpy around new people, and will often try giving nervous chuckles out to try and calm his own nerves, the tactic never really working.

Within friend groups, he is seen as the peacemaker, always trying to keep everyone from killing each other and keep fights from happening. Despite his awkward and timid outlook, he hates hearing people fight and yell, so he’ll try to keep that from happening at any costs. Despite having his own problems to deal with, he’ll put his friends’ problems above his own and try to help them through theirs before even trying to acknowledge his own.

Paranoia is something extremely obvious when it comes to Gorōta. Preferring to be prepared for anything, he’ll often think about absolutely anything that could go wrong, no matter how unrealistic it is. Due to this, he can oftentimes be found pacing while stroking his chin like a madman trying to think. Due to this paranoia of his, he’s more likely to lie right off the bat and then regret doing so immediately, but be unable to admit the truth because of his timid nature.

He’s stubborn when it comes to basically anything, even with his awkward nature. Though, he’s easily intimidated and if you scare him enough, he’ll back off. But usually, it’ll take more than just some yelling and staring to scare him enough. Because when he really sets his mind on something, it’s more likely that raising a hand at him or getting into his personal space will get his attention.

He's very rooted in fear, and maybe some subconscious level of shame. It's hard for him to believe everything will be okay or that he's actually good enough for the people around him. He tends to put anyone else before himself, even if he doesn't necessarily like them, just because he sees their lives as more important than his own. He has a very, 'I probably won't achieve anything as great as everyone else, so why even bother?' sort of outlook. He tends to think of himself as helpless, hopeless, and cowardly. Not really ever seeing(or looking for) the good in himself.

He puts helping in front of everything, no matter what. No matter how he feels about someone, or how they may have treated him- If they're hurt, he's not going to leave them behind or let them die. He'd rather save a villain then let them die, even if it means they'll kill him instead. This carries over for the people he cares about, though he often beats himself up about how in the heat of a moment- He'll freeze up, unable to move and do anything if the need arises. He would love to say that he'd take a bullet for a friend, but his freeze reaction makes that impossible. And he hates himself for it, because if he could? If he didn't freeze? He'd be catching bullets for strangers or literal murderers even.

Background:

Gorōta grew up in Japan with his family until he was 10 before they moved to America. His childhood was relatively uneventful, the biggest things happening after the move.

At some point when he was 15, his father lost his job and began drinking. His mother was oftentimes not home due to having to work extra jobs to continue paying the bills so they didn’t have to move again.

In order to pass the time, Gorōta read books on physical and mental health, or really just medical books in general. He also continued to hang out with the group of friends he made when he was 14, though less often as his father oftentimes wouldn’t let him leave the house.

Personality: Cloud is a really sweet person, she loves to make new friends and will always make someone smile with a compliment.
