Dragons: mythical beasts who mysteriously went extinct decades ago. Over time, people slowly forgot that these creatures existed, putting them into storybooks as legends and fables. One day, by chance, an adventurer stumbled upon a large stalagmite-filled cave with a pond in its center. Searching through the cave, the adventurer stumbled upon seven large, unusual rock-like objects next to a pool of water near the back of the cave. Bringing them back, he handed them over to the largest school in the country, Silver Oaks Academy, who, after many months of research, discovered that these were ancient dragon eggs. Not knowing how to make them hatch, the school set them up in a museum, ruling them to be completely fossilized. A few decades later, a class from Silver Oaks takes a field trip, and seven students find themselves face to face with these scaly creatures.
Info (I'm bad at explaining things so feel free to ask me questions)
The part of the world that our story takes place in is similar to the Victorian era in architecture but overall, it's fairly modern. The social structure, although mostly ignored, is still fairly prevalent, the rich/nobles still have more chances than more common folk but it's equal for the most part. The clothing is almost entirely modern as well, the only exception being that midriffs on any gender are generally frowned upon by most.
Silver Oaks Academy has the main building, a large, very well kept courtyard/garden area, a lunch hall, and two three-story dorm buildings on each side of the main hall. A forest surrounds the entire campus
Dragons in this category are more similar to large lizards than dragons. They come in many shapes and sizes from large, hulking beasts that are used to pull large cargo loads, to small, nimble ones that are used for hunting. There are also almost raptor-like dragons that are commonly used as mounts for war.

These people are recruited by the kings of the world.
Dragons, mythical beasts that went extinct many years ago, so many that they have been made into fables. Until, one day, 7 eggs were found in a cave, although they were deemed to be unhatchable. Decades later, one field trip will prove that these lost legends were more than the mere fables that they were seen as.
