Did you want Two Riders or a Rider and a Dragon, since I discovered I made a mistake and had a duplicate for an OG dragon. ^^

As of right now 14 is the Maximum, but I might adjust it later.

EEP I haven't been RPing on wolfplay in literally forever but this is neat looking :0 Shame I never joined Burning Embers. It seemed like such a cool one at the time too-

Can you reserve an original rider for me? I think that's all that's left but I'd also gladly play two (the last two slots, I believe?) if that's allowed ^^

Also, question: is 14 per new/old the /minimum/ or is it the most allowed?

Name:
Cassandra 'Cassy' Thayer
Age:
15
Gender:
Female
Role:
Rookie
Dragon:
TBA/Open
Appearance:
Cassandra has light brown hair. It extends down to her shoulders when untied. It has faint golden-like streaks visable in the sun's light. She'll often have it tied up in a low ponytail. Cassy has a rather roundish face shape. She has glistening sky blue eyes that often hold a look of curiosity. She'll have a light flush on her freckled cheeks whenever she's feeling any strong emotions.
-
Cassy tends to dress very casually, usually in something that is comfortable and manuverable. She tends to have a good few dungarees in her wardrobes. Cassandra has a height of 5'5. She has toned arms. She has a fairly slim figure, due to her enjoyment of tree climbing.
-
In relation to the tree climbing, she has picked up a few minor scars. The more notable ones are one that crosses through her eyebrow and a larger scar on her lower left leg from a bad fall when she was younger. Luckily, Cassandra has learned her lesson with the rest of the scars ending up being fairly small and minor, most of them coming from tree branch scratches.
Personality:

| Extroverted | Cheerful | Chatty | Trusting | Naive | Curious | A bookworm | Loyal |

-

Cassy is a very bright, cheerful person. She is fairly extroverted, always eager to meet new people. She tends to like talking to others about everything and anything. Cassandra is very trusting in nature, which could end up putting her in a problematic position some day.

-

Cassandra can get hyper-obsessed with certain topics for ages. One of these long-term topics has been dragons. Her fascination for them shows no bounds, especially for her own. She's very curious about everything, adoring reading books, especially about dragons. She tends to become enraptured within the many different tales, not noticing how much time has passed by.

Strengths

Dragon knowledge - Cassandra has been hyperfixated with dragons for a long time now. She has read almost every available book on them.

Willingness to learn - Cassy is happy to learn new things at any reasonable - Or unreasonable - time of day.

Tree climbing - Thanks to her childhood hobby, Cassy is a pro at scaling all kinds of trees, no matter what they're like. She can also tell what ones are safe to climb and what ones can support her weight.

Weaknesses

Naivety - Cassandra is too trusting for her own good. She'd end up getting in a van with a murderer because they 'needed help.'

Staying still - Cassy struggles to stay still for long periods of time, often fidgeting around with her hands.

Adjusting to sudden changes - Cassandra struggles to process large changes that happen suddenly, often getting overwhelmed and unsure of how to handle the situation.

I'd also really recommend reading Wings of Fire and watching How to train your dragon! Race to the edge is under-rated in my opinion.

Appearance:

Ellis de Montfort is a being equal in both feminine grace, beauty, and strength. Standing at only 5’2”, she appears to be a weak individual – lacking in the obvious strength necessary to do anything else but run. Her “proper” posture, although not being nearly as regal as those of rich traditional folk, portrays this even further. It gives off a sense of graceful elegance to all those around while appearing to be rather frail. However, this portrayal could not be further from the truth. Hidden underneath her small size and “gentle” posture lies a bulky build – one designed to pack a wallop with hard but slower attacks while still possessing enough leanness to be somewhat agile. Her muscle mass is evenly spread out throughout the majority of her body, allowing for that large amount of power while still being rather “streamline.” Natural feminine curves still remain amongst all the muscles as does an average sized chest. The curves, unlike the chest, however are exemplified by the load of muscles she possesses. Calloused hands are one of the few outward hints towards her true physical prowess, built up from years of handling rough-handled weapons. Swords and axes in particular. The numerous scars coating her creamy tan skin are a person’s last warning to her true strength – formulated mostly from harsh training sessions following the attack. Reason enough to give a cautious glance, if one can even spot them. With the small nicks from swords or knives having faded into her skin as time has gone by, it is quite a trying task to pick one out from her natural physique. These old scratches are mostly found along her arms with a few scattered along her sides where they are always covered by some amount of fabric. The main noticeable one is a scar running from the inner side of her left shoulder down to her side. It is much more obvious than others due to its sheer size, but is often covered up by her clothing. She never speaks on the origins of this scar.

This petite woman’s facial structure is just as feminine as the rest of her body, if not even more so. It is rounded in structure with smooth and leveled cheeks – not thick but also not quite thin and lacking in any sort of blemishes, freckles, or scarring. Her face generally seems to be tidy and free of grime as well, leading to what some would describe as a naturally glowing appearance. Plump lips dawn her face, a natural dark pinkish in coloration. They are, truthfully, not very expressive and only really jump around from straight lines to frowns if multiple iterations. Her eyes, on the other hand, are a good amount more expressive than her lips. They are rounded and slightly upturned in shape. The irises are the color of red roses with rings of darker shade of red scattered about with no real pattern – an unnatural feature, surely, without any sort of true explanation to back it up. Emotion is quick to spark amongst this red, with the more negative feels being the most obvious. Well kept eyebrows top it all off, being slightly close to her eyes than normal – resulting in a bit of a harsher resting face. Long and naturally wavy hair in the final piece of the puzzle for her head, a rich brown in hue. It ends just a hair above the halfway mark of her back, coming to a sort of rounded point along her spine. The part is completely centered, keeping the amount of hair on either side completely even. Meanwhile, longish curly bangs stretch down the front of her face on either side – being of equal length and starting roughly around the same time. A section of hair near the bangs can be seen curving down from the right side and to the left before connecting with the bangs on that side. A small strand of hair is also present on the right side, sticking out the side of that bang.

Clothing is a bit of a mixed-bag topic for this young warrior, with there being both a variety of outfits for her to choose from while still having sort of a small selection. T-shirts of a few different colors (white, blue, cream, and the lone) are usually her go-to attire for days in which she has nowhere to be, coupled with pants stitched together and colored in a similar fashion to modern day khakis. Large leather boots are her general footwear, working as a sort of combat boot. Sparring sessions usually have her wearing this exact outfit unless weapons are involved, with a dirty pair of pants or a muddied t-shirt being the least of her worries. A fancy and rather expensive black dress is another part of her wardrobe. It is rarely worn when compared to the others, but is one of her favorite pieces of clothing she owns. The dress in question is slanted sideways, having more fabric on the right side than the left. This structure has left her scarred shoulder completely on display – which she often flaunts as a sort of trophy. To keep the top part of this dress from falling, a sort of collar-like design was fashioned, wrapping around the base of her neck and right shoulder. This odd addition is quite handy and helps to keep the dress snug against her upper body. The end of the dress remains uneven, with the right side ending part way down her calf while the left ends an inch or two above her knee. Here, unlike the upper portion, the fabric is a bit looser than before and flows rather than sticks. Oddly enough, this dress – in a way – actually seems to mimic the structure of the usual funeral attire, besides the obvious discrepancies that is. Moderately fancy black dress shoes are alway paired with this dress. A durable suit of armor is the last of her owned garments. It is silverish in its shade and is made from a metal that is non-lethal or deadly for dragons (for obvious reasons). Its general design is like those of stereotypical knight’s armor, excluding the helmet and including a blue-fabriced cape that starts at her shoulders and extends to the back of her knees. On it is the engraving of a golden dove, her family’s insignia. She usually wears this into town in case any attempt to attack her, her dragon, or her companions.

The “accessories” within Ellis’ possession are mostly centered around her likeness to battle, with only truly being any sort of “decoration” for her. A thick leather belt is one of the more common accessories she wears, snug against her waist but not to a constricting degree. Very few pouches are present, but there are hook-like structures that can be used to hold some items. A rather large holster is connected to this belt, dangling down the right side of her body and slanting back and downwards. Within this holster is a broadsword – her weapon of choice, fitting her strong but slow attack style. Its hilt is wrapped in black leather in order to prevent the main material from damaging her hand. The symbol of the golden dove – same as the one on her cape – is also on the hilt, contrasting the silverish blade and black leather nicely. This belt and sword are strictly worn when in her armor and “training” getup, but are left behind when in her fancy attire. Instead, a knife along with its own holster are coupled with the dress – attached to her right thigh in order to keep it from plain sight. The only decorative item is also worn alongside her dress. It is a golden multi-chain necklace, fit with a variety of chain lengths and beads. Each chain seen is always a hair longer than the previous, leading to them all hanging down to various extents. The first of these coils around her neck, right overtop the section of dress that keeps the whole thing from falling, while the last goes a good distance past her collar bone. The first two chains along with the fourth and sixth (last) have smaller white beads scattered around each side of it with no consistency or pattern apparent. The third and fifth, however, have larger and more colorful ones. The third chain has medium sized green, red and orange beads along its front, with only one small green bean amongst them. The fifth has fruit shaped beads, akin to that of a sliced orange or tangerine, around its front while small white beads space themselves out in between the larger ones. Though not worn often, she appears fond of this necklace and despises the idea of others touching it.

This voice of this elegant warrior is one that could only be described as commanding. It holds power fit for a high ranking member of a military, perfect for giving orders that leaves no room for retaliation or discussion. To some, it is intimidating knowing that such a small being can command such a presence but it is only fitting for someone of her capabilities. The pitch of her voice is said to be medium, being smooth and honey sweet instead of rough and scratchy. Her tone can vary quite a bit, depending on the situation at hand. Typically it is one of harsh aggressiveness, designed for unapproving scoldings and snide remarks. It is mostly heard during her training sessions where she goes after the smallest of mistakes with cutting words, or when interacting with those she views as weaker than herself but not necessarily beneath her.

Personality:

Prickly || Cold || Sarcastic || Snarky || Skilled Teacher || Strict || Vengeful || Defiant At Times || Determined || Short Temper || Reckless At Times || Typically Logical || Intelligent || Protective || Loyal || Strategic || Faltering Confidence

“I am not here to be your ‘friend.’ I’m here to prepare you for battle. We may have won the war, but the fight is not over. Now, get to work!”

“They took everything from me. So why should I show them any mercy?”

A prickly exterior is what Ellis de Montfort has begun to pick up over the past seven years, one riddled with hostility and stewing bitterness. The attack has changed much about, to the point where she and many others claim that she did truly die during it. She is a shell of her former self, varying greatly from her old peppy and optimistic self to the cold and borderline aggressive soldier she is today. Very few elements of the old her remain, being essentially an entirely separate person. Her sarcastic and snarky side is the only thing that truly persisted through those trying times, twisted and distorted beyond belief. Instead of a tool to mess with friends and loved ones, her sarcastic and mocking remarks have turned into more cutting jabs – aimed to bash an individual rather than playfully jest with them. Though, it seems that those closest to her still receive some of those more playful ones. However, they are considerably harsher than before. But she makes sure not to push too far around those she actually cares about. Then again, her “not too far” is still a bit much for some.

The brown haired girl is thought to be a skilled teacher, having gained experience from those who taught her. She is well versed in communication and guidance, explaining exactly what she wishes to see as well as providing an example if needed. Her method of teaching can be adaptable as well, shifting slightly to best fit the quirks and personality of her student but always holding her usual harshness. However, it should be noted that she is quite strict – never pleased or lenient with mistakes or disobedience. Especially disobedience which will be met with extra training sessions or extended ones if given permission to do so. All orders and rules are to be followed unless contrary action is “necessary.”

Venege is something that this warrior has grown rather attached to following the war – a desire derived from watching her own family fall. She wished for payback through all those seven years, wanting to take from those soldiers what they took from her – life. In the end, she did manage to fulfill this goal… but she cannot help but feel something about her actions. Something bad. Just the thought of what she did stings her heart like a stake of iron piercing a dragon’s scales. Did she even make the right choice?... Her confusion has only led to an even shorter fuse than before, with even the slightest thing going wrong being enough to enrage her. Now, anyone who crosses her is bound to experience some sort of retaliation. Nothing that extreme, but enough to make them think twice about doing such a thing. Her vengeful tactics always seem to aim for a person’s weakest aspect in the hopes of using it against them, after some prolonged studying of course. While seeking out such vengeance, she can become defiant – highlighting the “unless necessary” exemption to her rule-stickler ways. Though, she mainly exhibits hesitation when instructed to do something else unless the one she is after did something that really set her off her short fuse. During the “worst” offenses, she can be so determined to get payback that she all but ignores any orders thrown her way – acting recklessness and possibly even getting a few people on side injured if they attempt to follow. Upon seeing an injury, however, she’ll typically drop it and help them out first and foremost – that tinge of lasting guilt coming back full throttle the moment she recognizes that she went too far.

Although distant to most of her fellow riders and their dragons, Ellis cannot help but feel protective of them. The group has been through a lot and has come out on top despite it all, and she cannot imagine how she would feel if she were to lose any one of them. Even those she does not particularly like. They, besides her dragon, are all she’s got left. They are her family, no matter how annoying they actually are. She sticks by their side no matter cost, acting as their shield in times of need and their sword in times of conflict. She does not rest until she ensures that they are safe. It is during these times that she shows her logical and intelligent side, using rationale in order to keep her allies safe from harm. This part of her was present before the initial attack but was greatly developed during the war. Now she can come up with plans on the fly, taking just a few moments to assess the situation before the best method of action. These plans are always done with full confidence in herself, trusting that she truly does have the capabilities. Or, were always. After what happened in the war… She cannot help but begin to doubt herself with every choice she makes.

Other:

- Ellis despises that blasted kingdom – the one that uprooted her life. She was just about to finally begin her lifelong dream of being a dragon rider when they attacked, taking away from her most she held dear.

- The brown haired warrior’s family was a decently wealthy one prior to the attack. While certainly not from those “pompous” and impeccably rich families – the ones that flaunt their accumulated dough in front of others – she was still well off, and was able to afford many things that some could only ever dream of. Though, she rarely used this money for herself.

- Her father’s bloodline was known for producing fearsome warriors – ones to be revered and respected. Ellis is no exception to this trend, but chose not to truly involve herself in this occupation until after the loss of her family.

Surprisingly, I actually cannot think of another book or movie about dragons that I truly like (that I haven’t mentioned before). That is all except the Book of Revelations. It is genuinely an interesting read, and the addition of a dragon within it has always peaked my interest. It’s always fun ta read through it in an attempt ta understand what each part is truly referring ta. Like, is this an actual dragon, or was it simply a term John used ta describe something else? Now, if only I had the attention span ta finish the book and figure out the hard parts. ;-;

AH sorry I was at work :') so that'd be one rider and one dragon? They're both original, right? (I don't have to have two rider spots, I'm just more comfortable playing two characters rather than one. If you'd want to add one though I'd be game :D )

~ L L O R A ~
[ Yo - rah ]

Two hundred and thirty six years of age // Female // Heterosexual // Original Dragon

She does not know what she is. For the sake of documentation, she is classified under “lunar”, primarily having spikes in activity between the hours of dusk and dawn.

Rider:
I think uh, the only one left is Solaris xD

-- SOLARIS --

Appearance:

If you've ever imagined a dragon, it probably wouldn't be imagining them as a wiry, agile thing built to run. After all, they have wings, don't they? And aren't they usually stocky, large, menaces with internal explosions that mean fire, danger, run, FIRE? Well. Llora's a little bit different. Rather than being what one would expect in a dragon, her body is very lithe and graceful, and it's just as comfortable for her to go running as it is for her to be flying (even though she loves flight and all aspects of it). Her chest is wide, with long legs and a strong, lengthy gait- not unlike a greyhound's. Even if she's rather short, a non-adult standing at only seventeen feet, that doesn't stop her from holding her head high.

Quite interestingly, she takes on the characteristics similar to a cat, or a bird, or many furred or feathered animals. Every now and then (a few times in a day, perhaps), she can be seen preening herself, making her dark scales shine, her feathers (wait, feathers??) collected and orderly. At nighttime, she can be easily missed- the majority of her scales are a deep shade of grayish blue, helping her hide in nocturnal territories with ease. The scales that decorate her underbelly are pale, often compared to a lighter shade of the night sky or the reflection off of trees (at some point, there's been a discussion in SOMEone's free time). The only stark contrast she has that makes her stand out? Her horns that stick straight up, and the porcelain scales against the obsidian eyes, the dark ridges of spikes that run down her skull and neck.

Here's where the feathers come in. She doesn't quite have the large, leathery wings to be expected of the reptile. Hers resemble more of a bird's. Long and feathered, with white stripes running along their undersides, they often make one think of a falcon's wings, built for speed and agility. Even without the typical expectations, she is able to keep up just as well, if not better, than other dragons of her age. Even in the air, she'll pull stunts just because she likes being in the air- not to show off. That's just a perk.

Personality:
Upon first meeting Llora, one might seem so incredibly... unsettled. Perhaps it is the cold, graceful way she walks into a room. Perhaps it is the soulless eyes set into bone. Something about her particular pattern of behaviors makes her seem so careless about anything that should be important- as if she wants you to believe you're nothing to her. As though before she has even met you, she's decided that you are not worth her time. And in truth? It can be that way, with her. If you aren't what she deems "worth talking to", she'll ignore you. Often, the ones she hangs around are the ones who believe they're the only ones worth anything. To a degree, her and her rider are more important to her than anything else.

She's very comfortable around people, around dragons. Her not speaking to some is purely by choice alone- she is not afraid or nervous of people, and if a situation requires it, she'll talk to someone she doesn't want to. Really though? She doesn't like to be alone. She's just... selective. So long as it involves anyone she considers "worth her time", whether it's a mentor, a friend, or a person, anything and everything they could do, they'd most likely do together (especially flying, and especially at night). Does that mean she can't do things by herself? No. Despite everything, Llora is anything if not capable.

More often than not, she has a habit of taking charge in a group setting. In training, in surprise situations, anything where someone can be the leader- unless she respects them, you'd better believe she's trying to tell them what to do. It's hard to get her to respect others- most likely as they don't resist her. She offers the slightest bit of pressure, most of the ones she's gotten to know cave under just a look from her direction. And it makes her laugh.

She gets frustrated very easily, and teaching isn't her strong suit (most of the time). At times she actually tries to give advice, but oftentimes it's just her not really caring enough to try and help. If she knows she has to- she'll do it. Or if she's really lost, can't she just ask her rider? Obviously they'd know better than her.

And yet, despite everything, she has such a capacity for kindness.

-

{ She enjoys rain, and fields of flowers, and things that look pretty. She likes to fly, likes to look at the moon and stars. Likes to shine as an example for all the younglings. }

[ She doesn't like things that argue with her, rotten fruit or chasing prey (she prefers the stalk to the chase), she doesn't like to wade through muddy lakes and swamps. She doesn't like how they smell, how they get her scales all dirty. ]

-

Abilities:
Luminescence
Her white scales emit a light glow in the dark. It is very bare- it can only be seen in the dead of night, or in a dark, enclosed space. It's enough to read close by, to let her see in the murky depths of night, but it doesn't otherwise do much. Theoretically, she could strengthen it, and theoretically, it would take active energy to control. Energy she needs for other things, like being on guard in the middle of nowhere at midnight.

Fire
[DRACARYS.]
(No, I'm kidding xD) Llora can breathe fire via a 'second throat'. It's fireproof (the science of fire-breathing lizards? Hmm). She has a limited supply of fire, as most dragons with a breath ability, and it uses up her energy gained from food stores. She, in particular, does not use it very often. She just likes to threaten, let her throat light up with the signs of incoming fire, then huff and sneer, if she has to.

Transfiguration
One thing in particular she can do is to magically sever a piece of her- a piece of bone. It is painful, and it takes time- but if magically removed, it will regrow. Depending on the part of her she takes, it could take weeks, months, or even years. The piece she takes, she can morph into anything to become a conduit, of sorts. As it takes an ability to remove, and magic threads itself through the very core of the bone, it becomes perfect to channel magics that cannot be easily seen or sensed. It doesn't "take them", and it only has a limited amount of magic it can channel at once. Say she takes from a venom dragon, and stabs someone (or, a tree), with it. The conduit is now empty.

Senses
She can sense threads of magic. As it turns out, they have a certain smell, a certain look and feel, a certain signature that can be traced back to one thing. It helps her to know when she runs into an enemy. A friend. Something new. And she can tell if it threatens her. When she's in a room with too many extraordinary creatures at one time, it overloads her senses, and she will need to leave. She does this often with large gatherings or flybys of hordes of dragons. And an "overload"? It means one of three things- she'll either pass out, temporarily lose her senses, or will have an extreme jolt of pain spiking through her system (on very rare occasions it has affected her spine, badly, knocking her out of the sky).

Strengths:
Secrecy || She does a many things wrong, but the one thing she can do right is keep a secret. She has still kept the one her father told her never to speak a word of- one he told her to keep long, long ago, when she was just a hatchling.

Agile Combat || Having a relatively small, lithe build means her tactics are better fit for speed and agility over brute strength. It means she needs to be more clever and less "big smash".

Keenness || It is always a good thing to have a sharp, intelligent sense of the world around you. Often she doesn't let on to how much she really is capable of, less because it's useless, and more because she doesn't want to be shunned for it (after everything, she is still a young adult. I'd say the equivalent of a 23 year old).

Weaknesses:
Patience || Listening to someone, waiting, letting them talk when you don't want to hear what they're saying? She is the model for being able to do none of those things. At least, not unless you're interesting enough.

Defiance || She has to fear someone to be able to listen to them when they tell her what to do. No one. Can tell her. What she is going to do. Not her rider, not her childhood best friend (theoretically, if she had one).

Strength || Can she take out a big enemy with smarts and speed? Sure. Can she knock them over, take them out in one swing, transport something heavy without a considerable effort? No.

Crush:
She wouldn't be willing to divulge that to everyone in the room, tsk. If she vibes, she vibes. You'll find out~
