My Squad Leader Name: Kaia Seelen Meaning: Kaia - "Life; The Sea" Seelen - "Soul, Spirit" Age: 22 Years Old Gender: Male Role: Squad Leader Appearance: Kaia has been described as a pretty man throughout his life, his skin tone showing his mixed heritage, with his skin being spotted with freckles. They span across his entire body, with a thick spattering of them across his nose and cheekbones. His cheekbones are strong, but not overly pronounced, while his jawline is strong and sharp, leading to a somewhat flat chin. His eyebrows are on the medium-slim side, overshadowing emerald-sea green eyes. His nose is strong, with a slight bump from where he'd broken it in his youth, only a small marking as his father had helped him set it mostly right. His lips are a slightly darker shade of brown than his skin tone, and are plump on his face. Kaia's hair is brown, a little longer than jaw-length, and is thick and curly, framing his face and, in some cases, portraying his wilder side. Kaia stands at approximately 6ft, leaving him a bit above the average male height, but not so much that he noticably stands out from a crowd. The man is well-built, not stocky or with the frame of the bodybuilder, but built up muscle over a lifetime of swimming, running, fishing, and hunting. His frame is lined with sinewy muscle, but it isn't bulging too far out of his skin. More like practical muscle than show-off muscle. For smaller details upon his body, Kaia has a few scars. A few around his fingers, some on his legs, but the most noticable are on his face. A curved scar around the outside of his right eye, and a scar on his forehead, over his left eye. His ears have a piercing each, and he wears a necklace around his neck, a gift from his mother that he's kept since he officially left home six years ago. Personality:

He likes to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, prefers to see the good in people before he sees the bad, but you can only push so far before he sees the core of your intentions. He's kind, but not an idiot, he won't let himself be pushed around or his kindness used against him by someone. He's generous until he either has nothing left to give, or until he knows the person is just taking advantage of him. The man is determined, sometimes even stubborn about some things. Protecting those he loves, he's stubborn and loyal to a fault. He'd throw himself in the line of fire if it meant protecting someone he loved. His heart is large and mighty, and it makes him love fiercly, cherishing the person, anything they make, anything they give, everything they are. He may be kind, but he's protective, and it, more often than not, overrides any compassion he would normally feel. He's not overly confrontational, but Kaia has never been scared to stand up to people, no matter how gentle he normally is. Everyone has the potential to lose their shit and "go wild", Kaia is no different. Kaia thinks of himself as somewhat spiritual. He was raised by the sea, swimming before he could form long sentences, able to move beneath the waves as easily as he does on land. The sea, being submerged by water, it's like his second home, the pressure on his chest an unfortunate reminder that he doesn't quite belong there as much as he would like to. He likes to think the coral remembers him, that the fish see him and smile to themselves, that the waves brush their soothing fingers through his hair with affection. He believes that every living thing has consciousness and energy, the animals, the plants, even the air and the water. Kaia believes in reincarnation, and, while he may not believe specifically in any higher power, the man does believe in something after death. He hears music in everything, music in the way the air moves the leaves, music in the way the waves crash against each other, music in the animal calls and the creaking tree trunks. Kaia loves music, and he plays many instruments, singing or humming to himself more often than not. Dragon: K'issuk Rán Strengths: Swimming/Freediving | Kaia grew up by the sea. He knows how to swim very well, has grown muscular over his life due to it, and he feels at home in the ocean throughout his hunting and freediving activities. Breath | Having spent much of his life in the water, Kaia has learned how to hold his breath for extended periods of time. Hunting | Kaia is a skilled hunter, both in the water and on land. Weaknesses: Friends & Family | Kaia will always put himself on the line for his friends and family. He'll give anything to make sure they're safe. Forest Survival | Having grown up in and around the sea, Kaia doesn't know a lot about forests and how to survive them. Kitisho Meaning "Horror" in Swahili, for reasons. ;) ~ -[~|~]- ~ Age: Around 248 years, he lost track of time. ~ Gender: Male ~ Class: Seer, hehe ~ -[~|~]- ~ Appearance: ~ Face: Kitisho has a long snout, with one golden spike in the middle of it. His jaw has rows of long, serrated, yellow teeth, but don't worry! He doesn't eat humans, only lamb, cows, or the chickens from a farm. His tar black eyes are quite a scary thing to see in the morning, but he's only there to hug you. The top of his head has a straight line of two sharp, thick, golden spikes, but his large horns are broad, thick, rough, and gold. His cheeks have a tar-like tear pattern going down the sides of his face, starting at his eyes and ending at his chest. Neck: Kitisho has a thick neck, covered in tough, purple scales until they reach his underneck. The middle of the top of his neck has two sharp, thick, black spikes. Chest: Kitisho has a large, muscular chest, covered in tiny, shiny, golden spikes. Many may wonder how he can hols himself up in the air with all those muscles he has. Wings: Kitisho has wings that expand at about ten feet when he spreads them at max length. His wings have two machete-like spikes at the tip that can shread through even the toughest skin. His wing patagiums have a bright gold color, that shines when even the slightest amount of sunlight collides against them. His wings are quite an impressive sight when it's a sunny day outside, and he definitely takes much pride in their glow. His wing patagiums are much thinner than the average dragon, making it hard for him to not cut them against even the dullest rock ever. Shoulders + Legs + Paws: Kitisho has large, broad, and muscular shoulders, helping him overpower his foes in face to face battles. His legs are also long, and muscular. His paws are the most interesting part on his leg though, having four long fingers on them, plus one extra at his wrist. On the tips of each of them are long, serrated, golden claws that can tear apart thick bark with ease. Tail: Last, Kitisho has a long tail that he can curl like a cat can. Thick, sharp, golden spikes go down the center of his tail, all the way down until it reaches the tip, which is literally a ten times sharper machete that's gold. No- stop- it's not a real machete- it's just a really sharp spike- Scars + Minor Details: 17 feet tall. Small scar going around his snout. Half his back, right foot is burnt. Spikes and wings glow gold and purple. He Will Hug You! | The Exact Opposite Of Scary Kitisho is happy and loves making new friends. This dragon can sometimes have an awkward aura that surrounds him, letting everyone in the area know to stay away unless you want to be hugged! He may look scary, but don't get him confused for some mean, growly guy, as he is the complete opposite of that. He can and will find every opportunity in his reach to make new friends, or just hug someone. Kiti is not to be mistaken for a weakling either. Even though he is excited, and happy, doesn't mean he's a coward. He will fight if he has to, and he is very brave when fighting too. Once you're his friend, you have protection for your whole life if he can. He hates fighting, but only does it under certain circumstances, like if you attacked him for example. Also, he has a deep voice and a loud, thundering roar to scare his foes away! >:) ~ -[~|~]- ~ Rider: I wonder who it will be! I'm just too excited to try a dragon RP again! :D ~ -[~|~]- ~ Abilities: ~ Future Seeing + When you hear, "future seeing," you probably think of them just having random times when they see the future, but not for this dragon. He can control when he uses his future sight, but can only see things that are five or less minutes away. The worse things to happen in that future, the worse his temples hurt. When he uses this ability, his whole vision changes. Everything have a purplish look around, and everything around him is strangly purple. He still hears everything happening in the present, but he sees everything happening in the future that's five or less minutes away. (When he's using this ability, I will not mention your characters, I will only mention them when he's hearing their speech in present time, but not in his future sight thingy. :) ~ Invisibility + This dragon can turn invisible, making it sometimes easy to escape danger. Name: Cyprus Thayne Age: 16 Gender: Female Appearance: Cyprus is a lithe looking girl with a strength that belies her size. Her height is fairly average but lingering towards the taller end of the scale at around 5 feet 7 inches. She is in excellent physical shape, with more muscular shoulders, arms, and thighs. It is clear she has spent most of her life being active and working, despite her father’s complaints of what a ‘real lady’ should be like. Cyprus’s skin is a rich tan, partially thanks to her ancestry and partially due to time spent under the sun’s rays. It is for the most part smooth and clear, but not necessarily pampered. Cyprus’s hands are calloused, and there are small, pale scars on her hands and forearms, nicks that are hardly noticeable. The largest scars she has are on the back of her right calf; they’re parallel to each other, around 3 inches long and a bit jagged. On Cyprus’s right shoulder is a pale birthmark, quarter-sized and faintly crescent shaped. Cyprus’s hair used to be long, but shortly before she left home she cut it short in an act of rebellion. It now barely reaches her chin. Cyprus’s hair is a very dark brunette with faint burgundy tones, though few people can actually tell the difference. Her locks are thick and naturally straight. Cyprus’s short hair frames her more long, oval-shaped face. She has a small, upturned nose, and her chin and jawline are rounded and faintly defined. She does have full, even lips, and there is a beauty mark just above the corner of her lips on the left side. Cyprus’s eyes are her most striking feature. They are a brilliantly deep shade of blue, almond-shaped and upturned, hooded by long dark lashes. While most of her features pay tribute to her ancestry, her blue eyes are most definitely from her father’s side of the family. There is a thin scar above her left eye that cuts through her eyebrow, about an inch and a half long. Personality: At first glance, Cyprus is a free-spirited and lively person. She always seems to be full of enthusiastic energy, raring to go at any time. She seeks adventure and action everywhere she goes and intends to live her life to the very fullest that she can. Cyprus isn’t afraid to approach people and strike up conversations, asking them about anything and everything that catches her attention. She certainly is curious, ever attracted and drawn to new and interesting people, places, and things. Cy is pretty easy-going in that she is adaptable to most situations and environments, and she doesn’t appear to care too much what other people think. She is who she is, and Cyprus is content in discovering who, exactly, that is on her own time. She spent too much of her life concerned about appearances and submitting to what others wanted her to be that she is bound and determined to never let that happen again. However, there are some things that ruffle her feathers, and if she gets particularly riled up Cyprus can have a fiery temper. While she doesn’t care what people think of her character, she does care sometimes what they think of her capabilities. She hates being told that she isn’t capable of doing something simply because she is a woman or for any other reason that she finds absurd or ridiculous. In addition, Cyprus values freedom above almost everything. If she comes across situations where her freedom, or anyone else’s is taken away, she gets particularly angry. Cyprus intentionally seeks for the fun in life, you could even call her an adrenaline junkie. She loves activities that really get her thrilled and excited, that make her blood race. One of her favorite such activities is horse races. Not only does she enjoy watching them, but Cy is a skilled horsewoman herself, having grown up around horses all her life. She also has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh. As a result of this, Cyprus got into all sorts of mischief growing up. That trait still rears its head from time to time, especially when she finds someone that she enjoys picking on and teasing. Creativity is another trait of hers. Not only does it help with her occasional scheming, but she has a fondness for the creative acts and creations of others. She enjoys music and art, and is quite good at sketching and playing instruments herself. Cyprus loves the freedom and imagination that is expressed through creativity. Cyprus has a strong sense of justice and a desire to protect people who need it, and those who have earned her trust. At times she can be a bit reckless, leaping into situations without putting much thought into her actions, and she does have a tendency to jump to conclusions. She is courageous and is rarely held back by fear if someone, or something, needs her help. However Cyprus does have sharp instincts and she knows how to pick and choose her battles, most of the time. She has a good sense of when to fight and when to run, but will likely have the intention to try again later from a different angle if she fails the first time. She is very loyal to the people she gets attached to and will always stand up for her companions and defend them if ever the need arises, no matter the circumstance. Despite the vivacious, and somewhat wild, person that Cyprus is now, she wasn’t always that way. She grew up with many of those traits, but the oppressing atmosphere of her upbringing slowly dampened many of them. Ages 9 to 15 found her to be a very composed, calm, and proper person, on the outside. She was numb and dull inside, hardly able to feel anything. She strived to please her father in whatever way she could, however doing so only suffocated her bright personality, and almost snuffed it out altogether. Cy eventually snapped out of it, finding the courage she needed to escape and gradually her true colors became bright again. This is mainly the reason that she strives to live so fully now, and the reason she seeks for the things that make her feel alive. Cyprus wants to see just how much she can grow and learn on her own with no restrictions or barriers. For Sublimus and Kitisho I encourage you to reread everything. Dragons for this Rp have a maximum height and age, which are 19 feet tall and 250 years respectively. Even the squad leader's dragon would likely be within these limitations as they're only a couple of years older than the new recruits. Kitisho also needs at least his height listed. For Sublimus you have that he has hard belly scales and I just want to remind you it's a global weakness for all dragons that they have belly scales that are soft in comparison to the rest of their hide.
Do not use my dragon Beollan as a standard to follow, he's a dragon who is an exception for subplots as well as a plot device. |

Melinoe Age: 101 years old Gender: Female Class: Dream Appearance: Melinoe is still a growing dragon, barely reaching to around 13 feet if she really strains herself to her limits. Horizontally, she is much larger, as her length reaches to just shy of 19 feet, with most of it going to her tail, as it is nearly twice the size of her body. Her physique is long and wispy, and her movements quick and serpentine. Melinoe has almost comically large wings. She could be described as more wing than dragon, as she doesn’t have the classic four legs of a dragon and instead uses her wings as a stand-in for front legs. When standing, her wings are twice the size of her actual body and they usually envelop her figure, it’s partly the reason she hates standing or walking. However, they also look generally clumsy and awkward while on the ground. Melinoe’s wings were definitely not made for walking. Melinoe has quite weird scales, as they are a hybrid between feather and classic dragon scale. They are quite hardy and tough towards the end, but the tips are soft. The only exception is the area around her chest and the scales along her spine, where they outright become feathers, silky and fragile. Her wings are made of a thin but surprisingly resilient material, and towards the ends they become somewhat translucent, light can travel through them and they look majestic, especially during sunset or sunrise. They resemble a bat’s wings in build. Her aforementioned tail is an entity of its own, it is so long she has trouble keeping it in check. Melinoe has knocked over more things with her tail that she can count. She usually prefers to keep it wrapped around something when perched, and her preferred sleeping position is upside down, with her tail wrapped around a thick branch. Her coloring is practically pearly silver, and she hates getting any kind-of discoloration from dirt or soot on her scales, but especially her feathers, and takes extra care to groom herself every day. However, she does have some spots where her cloudy scales gradually turn to a pale blue color, giving her a slightly metallic look. Her snout is long and curved upwards with a sharp point at the end, and icy blue scales around the nostrils. She has two small horns just above the openings for her ears, the horns are dark brown in color, they branch out and curve inwards towards the end, resembling those of a deer. Melinoe’s eyes are her most peculiar trait, they do not have pupils and are a pure white color. Personality: Melinoe is a tricky dragon. You can never be sure what she is scheming, whether it be her planning how to annoy the squad leader or her next big escapade, Melinoe is a dragon that does not take herself too seriously. She is as sly and crafty as a fox, and she uses it to cause chaos, both in reality and in the dreamlands. It is a trait that makes her interesting and memorable, despite the fact that it irritates everyone around her, especially when she dumps yet another bucket of water on the fire dragons. Most of her creativity goes to planning pranks and schemes. No one can tell when she is being genuine and when she is avoiding the truth. She is a good liar, not lying outright per se, but more so twisting the truth in her favor, but who doesn’t do that? Yet, there is a certain charm in the way she carries herself. Her playful and lively persona and her carefree attitude make her likeable at the very least. She is always up for an adventure, seeking excitement and living on the edge. Daring is her middle name! Melinoe hates confinement of any kind, she usually zones out during any kind of lectures and can’t stand boredom to any capacity. She is very expressive and outspoken, never missing the chance to put in her two cents on any matter that doesn’t concern her, but nonetheless interests her. She is a hedonist in a sense, as she believes fulfillment is the most important thing in life, and her moral compass mostly reflects that thought. Melinoe keeps odd times, being up mostly during the twilight hours and sleeping through the day, which leads most to label her as lazy. If only they knew what she did during the night! Nevertheless, she enjoys any sort of company and loves being social with other dragons. Humans she is more wary of due to her personal history. She only trusts them if she knows for sure they are reliable and honest. However, another way to earn her trust would be to appeal to her thrill-seeking, adventurous spirit. Even so, Melinoe is quite an independent dragon as she values her freedom and individualism just as much as she values her excessive indulgency. Rider: Open Abilities: Hypnos: The ability to release a dusty breath (actually a very low pitched sound that cannot be heard by humans) that makes anyone near the user or anyone targeted by the user fall into a deep sleep. The affected cannot be woken up in this state, and they will only wake up after the effects are gone (few hours or days later, depending on how much of the “lullaby” they heard), and remain in a dazed state for a few hours. This drains the dragon depending on how long they use this ability and does not work on other dragons. Dreamwalker: The ability to enter and manipulate other’s dreams. If the user stays too long in a foreign dream, they risk getting trapped and unable to leave the dream until the one in which dream they are wakes. This could leave them defenseless and vulnerable. Strengths: Flying: Her large wings are best equipped for fast bouts of flying where you could barely see her in the sky due to her speed. She is also quite nimble and graceful while flying. Charming: Say what you will, but she does have some charm to her. She is a confident she-dragon and has a way with words at certain times. What more could you need? Clever: When it comes to pranks and tricks, she is the most cunning and creative dragon there is. Weaknesses: Endurance: She may be a fast flier, but her stamina is lacking. Melinoe gets tired very quickly, especially if she is flying at high speeds or carrying something with her. Vulnerable: Most dragons have only their soft belly scales as their weak point, well Melinoe has that plus the feathers along her chest and spine that can be easily penetrated with a spear or any other weapon. Self-indulging: She places her pleasure above all else, which isn’t the best practice to have for obvious reasons. Likes: Pranks, the night, darkness, excitment, flying at high speed, the sea Dislikes: Sunlight, brightness, fire, "boring" people, rules & restrictions Crush: Open! Mate: N/A Kin: None alive.
