Kaia has been described as a pretty man throughout his life, his skin tone showing his mixed heritage, with his skin being spotted with freckles. They span across his entire body, with a thick spattering of them across his nose and cheekbones. His cheekbones are strong, but not overly pronounced, while his jawline is strong and sharp, leading to a somewhat flat chin.

His eyebrows are on the medium-slim side, overshadowing emerald-sea green eyes. His nose is strong, with a slight bump from where he'd broken it in his youth, only a small marking as his father had helped him set it mostly right. His lips are a slightly darker shade of brown than his skin tone, and are plump on his face. Kaia's hair is brown, a little longer than jaw-length, and is thick and curly, framing his face and, in some cases, portraying his wilder side.

Kaia stands at approximately 6ft, leaving him a bit above the average male height, but not so much that he noticably stands out from a crowd. The man is well-built, not stocky or with the frame of the bodybuilder, but built up muscle over a lifetime of swimming, running, fishing, and hunting. His frame is lined with sinewy muscle, but it isn't bulging too far out of his skin. More like practical muscle than show-off muscle.

For smaller details upon his body, Kaia has a few scars. A few around his fingers, some on his legs, but the most noticable are on his face. A curved scar around the outside of his right eye, and a scar on his forehead, over his left eye. His ears have a piercing each, and he wears a necklace around his neck, a gift from his mother that he's kept since he officially left home as a New Rider himself.

Kaia is a kind man, up to a point. He likes to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, prefers to see the good in people before he sees the bad, but you can only push so far before he sees the core of your intentions. He's kind, but not an idiot, he won't let himself be pushed around or his kindness used against him by someone. He's generous until he either has nothing left to give, or until he knows the person is just taking advantage of him.

The man is determined, sometimes even stubborn about some things. Protecting those he loves, he's stubborn and loyal to a fault. He'd throw himself in the line of fire if it meant protecting someone he loved. His heart is large and mighty, and it makes him love fiercly, cherishing the person, anything they make, anything they give, everything they are. He may be kind, but he's protective, and it, more often than not, overrides any compassion he would normally feel. He's not overly confrontational, but Kaia has never been scared to stand up to people, no matter how gentle he normally is. Everyone has the potential to lose their shit and "go wild", Kaia is no different.

Kaia thinks of himself as somewhat spiritual. He was raised by the sea, swimming before he could form long sentences, able to move beneath the waves as easily as he does on land. The sea, being submerged by water, it's like his second home, the pressure on his chest an unfortunate reminder that he doesn't quite belong there as much as he would like to. He likes to think the coral remembers him, that the fish see him and smile to themselves, that the waves brush their soothing fingers through his hair with affection.

He believes that every living thing has consciousness and energy, the animals, the plants, even the air and the water. Kaia believes in reincarnation, and, while he may not believe specifically in any higher power, the man does believe in something after death. He hears music in everything, music in the way the air moves the leaves, music in the way the waves crash against each other, music in the animal calls and the creaking tree trunks. Kaia loves music, and he plays many instruments, singing or humming to himself more often than not.

Swimming/Freediving | Kaia grew up by the sea. He knows how to swim very well, has grown muscular over his life due to it, and he feels at home in the ocean throughout his hunting and freediving activities.

Breath | Having spent much of his life in the water, Kaia has learned how to hold his breath for extended periods of time.

Scales as dark as the depths of an abyss blanket this creature's form, the tenebrosity found upon the natural plating remains unparalled in its starkness, as if he were fashioned from the same material as the farthest reaches of the universe, where the stars do not cast their light upon the shadow. Indeed, there lives an unsettling quality in the totality of the darkness, for there is an element in the matte scales that, instead of catching the brightness of daylight and torch-flame and refracting it in a display of a brightly shining surface, seems to the absorb the light in his presence.

A living shadow whose darkness is all too noticeable in the burning light of the day, the brilliant rays radiated from the sun high above fades when his wings spread and the flicker of a campfire within a forest sputters and pales when the sinister form paces by.
Whether the stark black outline amonst stone and forest, still unnervingly darkened for the amount of light streaming from the sky, like a clear-cut shadow daring to wander under the sun, is a figment of the imagination or a genuine quality inherent to him, is undisclosed information.

The eyes are oft considered the window to the soul, for they communicate more than simple direction a soul is gazing in, an element to a individual that characterizes their being, hailed to be a lovely quality to those who bear the many colors that can be found within, however it is these same components that elevate this creature from simply ominous to unsettling. For these particular optics display a white that is the shade of bleached bone gleaming underneath the scorching desert sun, the purity of crisply untouched snow shrouding the hard ground underneath its silencing blanket of frosting chill, seeming to hold within their stark depths a faint brilliance that belongs to the distant pinpricks of stars marking the velvet expanse of the night.

Colorless eyes track the motions of those who inhabit the world with the intensity befitting that of a hunter, a stark shadow of a creature that appears to be not flesh and blood and bone but instead a soul crafted from the deepest depths of the void, the appearance of which only heightened by the unique aspect that occupies his optics. For these peculiar eyes do not demonstrate the normality of visible pupils and irises and sclera, the constituents of this creature's vision bear the unchanging shade of such a stark white that it is difficult to gaze directly into his visage, creating the impression that the components do not exist. These such parts are indeed present within the paleness of these optics, although an indentical shade of unadulterated white, unsettling in the illusion of unbroken slate like that of the glacial arctic.

There is a logical conclusion to be made regarding the number of eyes this creature bears, it is simply reasonable to assume that he is in possession of the twin pools of pure white that occupy his countenance, for while the appearances of similiar creatures vary wildly from a individual to another, multiple eyes beyond the twinning optics most are blessed with are exceedingly uncustomary among souls. That is plainly not the case with this sinister creature, for upon the forehead is located a third eye and a forth one is placed directly on the back of his cranium, these additional optics remaining concealed by black-scaled eyelids, rendering them nigh indiscernible until the moment strikes that a glimpse of a tintless shade grace the tenebrous scale. Those supplementary eyes serve an important purpose concerning the state of abilities as well as increasing his visibility, each bearing the distinctive illusion of pupiless voids of brilliant white.

It is often a breathtaking spectacle to witness a creature many times the stature of those stray souls who linger in the presence of such a demonination in which the forces of nature have left the imprint of its presence, among many qualities that are displayed in a congregation of these reptilian lifeforms, it is the measurements that are the feature that draws the attention from brilliantly gleaming scale. It be no different with this creature whose dimensions rank among the largest of his brethren, standing high among the majority of assemblage at a height of twenty feet when determined at the point of the shoulder, a serpentine neck resting upon the muscle and bone of the clavicle extending the considerable stature further to an intimidating twenty-three feet at the uppermost incline of the cranium. A towering configuration of shadow made flesh and starlight coalesced in a visage befitting that of death, the overarching menace in the spiring shape of the deepest reaches of the galaxy embodied is unmistakable, an ominous harbinger of dread he appears to be.

The construction of this creature is one that is not destined for a powerful hardiness that is oft present within other living souls, despite the astounding height that he towers at, there is a unequivocal narrowness that is showcased in the aerodynamic constitution that he possesses. Instead of the power that many of his brethren are endowed with that is wrought from the forge of the enviroment they had traversed in their youth and of their own configurations, the muscle hidden beneath protective scale is of a sleek quality that ripples beneath the flesh when in motion like a stream of water flowing above obstructions. Despite the appearance of a slighter figure that is deceptively fragile, astoundingly sylphlike for a creatue of his stature in a manner that lends an ethereal asmosphere to him, there is a quiet power in his sinew that is simmering beneath the scales as it eagerly anticipates the moment it can be utilized.

Scattered upon the sinuous curvations of the spine are flecks of an aurelian coloration, like a conglomeration of molten stars glittering against the backdrop of an expanse so dark that it is fathomless, dappling the entire length of the tenebrous scales sheltering the creature's vertebral column. Like dust shed from the incandescently blazing spheres descended from the celestial heights, these flecks of an utterly luxuriant shade appear to coalesce upon the flowing contours of the spine to envelop the majority of the abysmal darkness in the manner of a blanket of snow melting to expose the patches of earth beneath its frozen grasp, collecting upon the narrow slopes that compose the lines of his form and cascading down either side of his silhoutte like the drifting of stray snowflakes gliding from the heavy clouds that contained them.

Personality:

This creature, as young as he is, is an interesting thing indeed.

The first thing to notice about Euclid, and the most stark one, is the air of watchfulness. Even when in respose, even when he is resting and relaxed, there is the unmistakable feel that he is observing those around him. Indeed, it is true that he watches others with an attentiveness that is strange. The focus of a predator is not one to be underestimated in its observance, for a danger is nigh always present within such a gaze, as is in his own glance. It is an unsettling thing to be the target of his observations, for what he is looking for within others, is unknown to them. As with many things, his motives with this particular aspect is a thing undisclosed to many.

There is, sometimes, a sense that many of the words that flow from his mouth, that the motions that are made, are the product of calculation. A performance conducted only by himself, unknown but for a select few, if any at all. It is the feeling of an actor, that perhaps the one speaking is merely a mask in lieu of his true self, that is his manner. Indeed, nothing is accidental with this youth, the placement of a word is as calculated as the image he has cultivated amongst others.

Even as young as he is, when placed alongside those who are his elders, Euclid holds a natural charisma as is befitting a dragon of his kind. A type of charm is present within his actions, the allure of an intriguing figure and graced with a tongue of silver, this drake carries the potential to tear those around him down. True, he is unexperienced in the artistry of harnessing this particular attractiveness to his advantage, unpracticed in the skill of persuading those around him to the degree that he is capable of. Nevertheless, manifestations of this talent pertaining to his lineage are alive.

There lies an aspect of his temperament, far from a flattering one, that makes this creature a considerable adversary. It is the quality of pursuing vengeance when faced with a wrong, often to extremes, that is a distinguishing trait of his. Indeed, when he is roused to anger due to the actions of another, it is a dangerous thing to behold. Oftentimes, retaliation will not be forthingcoming in a prompt manner, rather it is a quiet thing that creeps upon oneself insidiously, a haunting shadow prepared to strike.

It is important to note, that although there are many undesirable characteristics to him, Euclid does have positive traits that twine together with the negative to create his personality. One such attribute is his faithfulness, a devotion for a select few whom he knows as those to be trusted wholeheartedly, the strength of his loyalty is a everlasting flame. It is a nigh impossible feat to perform, to take that loyalty and shatter it into fragments of what was, yet it is attainable by few methods. To eradicate that faithfulness is not a brilliant choice, for as completely as he loves, he loathes twice over.

Those few that have managed to work their way under his shields, chiseled the stone from his beating heart, earn a companion unlike any other. It is the change that emerges in the company of such individuals that is a surprise, for it is unexpected of this nigh aloof creature to be amicable in his manner, nor the honesty that bubbles to the surface a foreseeable quality. Perhaps it is the acceptance of those he knows to be friends, the ability to acknowledge the worst traits, that is most curious; for although it is unlikely that he will allow himself to be steamrolled in a disagreement, Euclid embraces loved ones wholeheartedly, negative facets included. Indeed, it is a friendship that can draw interesting aspects of one's character from hiding, and it is no different with him.

-Dream Manipulation-

True to the nature of this ability, Euclid can change the dreams of others, shift and twist them into such outlandish visions that the mind would not be able to comprehend them, morph the terrifying into peaceful and vice-versa. It is indeed a powerful ability, to hold domain over the mind at rest; while in the realm of dreams, he can make anything happen. The capability of this terrifying power is seemingly endless, limited only by his own creativity and intentions, yet there remain some limitations to this aspect of his powers.

A requirement is that this dragon has to be somewhat near to the target in order to enter their mind, and by extension dreams, successfully, and the farther away he is, then the harder it is to mantain a steady control over the dreams. The closer that he is to the individual, the easier it is to take hold of those nighttime visions and begin molding them, shaping them, to suit his purposes.

If the target of this manipulation begins to awaken, then Euclid's hold will essentially be thrown away from the mind in what seems to be an instinctive response to a foreign presence lingering in the mind. Nor will his ability work if the individual is nearly asleep but still clinging to wakefulness, although in some cases, this can be rectified, it is often a sign that he needs to wait a bit longer.

This is a power that cannot be used in a hurry, while some of his abilities can be ultilized quickly, this one of the ones that cannot be rushed, or else it will fail. This dragon has to take his time when entering another's dreaming state, slithering his presence through the cracks in the mind's defenses that loosen while at rest, and find what he intends to change. Too fast and the target will awaken, foiling his attempt; too slow and he will be too late, either the individual will be waking natually or the dreams would begin to fade. There is a slight risk of preforming this quickly too, of plunging too deeply into the unsuspecting mind and find that he was a hard time navigating his way out and back to his own body, while there always remains a tether to the waking world, the farther he immerses himself in dreams, the fainter this anchor becomes.

While typically the workings of this ability is to manipulate an already existing dream, warping it into something else entirely in some cases, Euclid can occasionally manage induce dreams in others, even when the individual has not entered that particular part of the sleep cycle. He can trigger dreams in those who are not quite at that phase yet, or rarely, exiting the specific section in which dreams are active. This is fundamentally an act of inserting dreams into the mind, of issuing a type of suggestion in order to begin the dreaming process, thus allowing him power over the subsequent dreams. Scarcely used is this aspect of his ability, the strain of entering a unsuspecting mind and therefore manipulating dreams for several days afterwards is enough of a deterent, except for situations in which he needs to perform it. It is typically only used in conjuction with his Hypnosis ability.

Indeed, the art of manipulating dreams and worming into a mind is a delicate one. A mistake can lead to consequences, the severity of which depends on the circumstances. If he is not careful, then his attempts will be a failure until the next night. It is a procedure not to be taken lightly, no matter how simple it may seem to those without this ability, for it is akin to balancing on a tightrope, a work of patience. The limitations this power is beholden to, the circumstances in which it is helpful, may seem hindering, but the sheer capability of it balances out the scales.


-Illusions-

Euclid can cast illusions, lifelike to the point of being able to trick others into believing that what they are seeing is truly real. Similiar to his ability of dream manipulation, he can create visions bizarre to the point of unreality, and conjure fantastic sights that are impossible to distinguish from the real world. Perhaps this power is even more alarming than his alteration of the sleeping world, for he can produce such visions that make one question what they are witnessing is a fabrication or reality. A truly powerful ability to be able to toy with another's mind, it seems to only be restricted to the creativity of his mind, yet of course, there are certain limitations to this power.

While these illusions are wonderfully realistic to those who have the misfortune or pleasure to view, a requirement to a convincing vision is remembering the appearance of what he is creating. It is a necessity to know what he is bringing into the world, what is looks like and the characteristics of behavior so that he can control it properly. The result of incomplete knowledge regarding appearances will result in a unsettling vision, one with familiar features not quite correctly arranged and proportions a hair too short, the mark of a insufficient memory. Even for completely fictional projections of imagination, beasts and objects both, he takes elements from creatures that exist in the world, from plants and sights he has seen before.

A requirement of this ability is concentration, it can be effortless to create these illusions but not quite so easy to maintain them, and the thing that keeps them present, or so they appear to be, in the world is Euclid's focus. The more elaborate an illusion is, the larger in size it is, the more concentration is required to uphold the hallucinations. If his attention were to waver due to any disturbances, the illusion will reflect the lapse. If distracted completely from his task, the vision will disappear into thin air, just as it came into existence.

While often limiting the illusions he casts to simpler sights, occasionally he can produce massive alterations to the visible world around everyone for a shorter amount of time. These changes can be as complicated as twisting the appearance of an entire forest into something utterly unrecognizable to those familiar with the woodlands, or filling the vast expanse of the sky with nearly black storm clouds and lightning, to simplistic alterations such as erasing the sight of grass within a clearing or the addition of non-native flowers in a meadow. Due to the sheer scale and complexity of these widespread illusions, the complete concentration dedicated to maintaining it, these larger illusions are not often utilized except in the direst of situations.

There is a third limitation to Euclid's powers, most relevant to the capability of creating a massive illusion. He cannot create large scenes, altering the appearance of the enviroment around him, without there being a consequence, or by even casting several more complicated ones in quick succession. After such an exertion of power, there will be a noticeable strain on Euclid's part to create illusions for a few days, even insignificant illusions do not leap into the world like they usually do and instead tenatively flicker before solidifying like normal. This aftereffect is essentially the mental equivalent of straining a muscle, his illusions will be hindered greatly afterwards, and he is nigh incapable of producing more than small objects or tiny alterations to the enviroment without struggle.

As with any form of art, for accuracy to be achieved, the knowledge of how the form takes shape is essential. It is no different with the ability to conjure illusions of what his mind can think of, held in place only by the power of his attention. While it seems a simple thing to do, this is an ability that takes practice to accomplish consistently.

-Thought Manipulation-

Interestingly, this ability is a multifaceted power. Each part of this particular ability is separate, an individual linked only by the relevance found at the basis of each one, yet slotting together perfectly like pieces in a puzzle to create a complete image.

-Thought Insertion

This is quite the interesting portion to arsenal of abilities that he carries, quite the weapon if wielded correctly, for Euclid is able to essentially implant thoughts into another's mind, ideas and opinions that are not the product of their own consciousness. He can seep poison into the minds of those around him, encourage the mind to betray itself with vitriolic words that once cultivated slither through the cracks unbidden, insert thoughts of suspicion and negativity to fan the sparks of instability from mere embers into a blazing inferno. He can project a flood of thoughts into an unsuspecting mind, inundate the target with a stream of foreign ideas and opinions so that it becomes difficult for the receiver to parse through the often disjointed things running through the mind.

A requirement of this particular facet of the ability is that this black-scaled creature has to be within the immediate area of the mind that he is intending to insert thoughts into, as with his Dream manipulation, it is easier to enter a mind when he is nearby opposed to being a bit of a distance away. Unlike with the aforementioned ability, Euclid can tamper with another's thoughts from a distance, it will be difficult if the individual is not within his line of sight, but as long as he can still sense their mental contemplations, the action of such a thing will be able to be enacted. Although the implanted ideas will be more like vague notions, a fleeting thought that begins its fading the moment that it appears in the mind.

This certain aspect of the triadic ability requires concentration in order to work correctly, to project things into another's mind takes careful placements in order for the thoughts to feel natural to that individual.

While it is his preference to affect only one individual with this ability, Euclid however, can turn the power onto mulitiple within his direct vicinity.

Terah is a young man of a fair complexion, his features riddled with freckles. They litter his face, spanning across his cheekbones, his nose, up his forehead and down his throat. They expand from there down his body, covering his whole person in freckles. His skin is naturally fair, tanned slightly by time spent in the sun, with muscle built up from labour and activities rather than specifically working out, giving his 5'10" body a naturally filled out look. The guy doesn't have a six pack, but his physique is healthy and muscular.

One of the main things that stand out about Terah is his hair, vibrant, curly, and pure ginger adopt his head, the sides and back shaved while the top is kept longer. It seems to match his eyes, which are a warm, honey-like shade of brown. They're one of his more expressive features, along with average, ginger eyebrows. The mans lips are rather average, as is his nose, but his face has been described as a little round in his cheeks before. His jaw is strong and defined, but his high cheekbones are plump rather than sharp.

Along Terah's jaw is the most notable of his scares, three claw-marks that run from just under his cheekbone to under his jaw. Other specific features on the young man is his gold jewelry. He has a nose piercing, and a piercing in his left eyebrow. His ears are adorned with many, four hoops and a stud in his left ear, with three hoops and a stud in his right ear. Other parts of his body also hold jewelry, his right ankle adorning an anklet, with a few gold braclets on his wrists. On his right hand, he has a ring on his thumb, middle finger and ring finger. On his left hand, he has a ring on his index, middle and pinkie finger.

Sailing | Toivo has some experience sailing. He isn't an expert, he hasn't spent years on the sea, but he's been out there and had some experience.

Swordmanship | Likewise with sailing, Terah has some basic experience with using a sword. He hasn't been to war, and he hasn't had years of experience, but he's been taught how to hold a sword, how to swing, and spent a fair amount of time sparring.

Butchering | When Terah wasn't off doing other things, he helped out in the butchers shop in his town. He knows his way around a knife and a body, and he doesn't shy away from blood or body parts.
Weaknesses:
Lack of Knowledge | Terah has never been really focused on being book-smart. He learns what he learns with his hands, and he's learned enough to keep his life going so far. If he needs to learn things, he'll learn them on the way or through word of mouth. This, however, means that Terah really doesn't know jack shit about most dragons.

Standing tall at 18 feet, Deaencta's lithe form is a breathtaking spectacle. Her scales create a mesmerizing blend of vibrant greens and eggplant-purple, adorning her body in an exquisite display of natural artistry. The lithe frame she possesses not only captivates observers with its visual allure but also serves as a testament to her unmatched agility and grace. Above her navy-blue eyes, a distinctive layer of deep purple scales begins at her nose, extending gracefully to culminate in a majestic horn. A small patch of violet-purple just beneath her eye ties the purples together. Deaencta is prone to making impulsive decisions when her temper flares. She may act first and regret later, often creating complex and perilous situations. After particularly violent fits of anger, Deaencta often retreats into solitary isolation to regain her composure. Moments later, she’ll reappear as if nothing happened.

Solaris is of more average height, being that he is five feet nine inches (5'9") and not being too tall nor too short, around the typical height with a tad of give or take being done depending on the people he is currently around. While he is mostly content with his current height, and knowing that he is not going to be gett any taller naturally, he does sometimes wish he was a bit taller; in that vague kind of manner most think of. Mostly in relation to an object he is trying to reach just being barely more than a finger length away, yet still unable to gain that tiny bit more to be able to grab it.

The young man's build can be described as "athletic". His build is far from bulky and is not overly muscular, but is more toned than a thinner and lighter build; it is more in between being considered slender or muscular, with his frame leaning slightly to the more slender side. He has muscles on him, but they are not noticeable unless he goes and takes his shirt or something off; he is stronger than someone built for speed and agility than strength, and he can match someone in a physical fight, but he is not the strongest person around and is still able to be overpowered by those with more sturdy builds that are more intended for brute strength and durability. One could say that he is balanced in terms of physical feats, he has a slenderness about him that make him and his musculature more sleeker, more in the manner of a wild feline; he is suited to strength and endurance, and speed and agility as well. He can keep pace with the group when running and can resort to physical means if necessary and have the strength to back it up, but he is still outrun by those smaller and lighter and still overpowered by those stronger than he is.

Solaris has dark hair, the short strands being an inky black in color, a nearly absolute black that doesn't give off the typical tint or edging of dark brown that can be seen in most with the darker color of hair. The shadowy coloring is quite the sharp contrast with his paler skin, which is more of a fair shade with cool undertones that make his skin look even more paler and chillier, and it is not exactly a bad looking contrast, more of an interestingly attractive type. This young man most often wears his hair short, no longer than the bottom of his earlobes; and as of right now, his straight hair is about three inches long and brushing the top of his ears.

As for his eyes, the young man's irises are a clear gray in color. The shade between dark and light that is the typical shade one thinks of when thinking about the color gray; it is a stormy color, the color of rainclouds overhead and the color of the steel that composes a sword.


Personality:

There are some people that seem to be live wires in terms of personality, and there are some that seem to be unshakable, Solaris is the latter of the two. He is a very calm person, his natural demeanor isn't meant to be fierce and blazing like a flame or energetic and attention-grabbing like light, if one were to symbolize him by an element, then perhaps earth would be a apt similie. Or, for an obvious one, the moon. Anyone who meets him can immediately register the calm manner he has, the way how he acts and the vibe he gives off; which can only be described as "chill". It seems as if nothing can really faze him enough to break that calm demeanor, like he is the eye of the storm, nothing can get through to him to really affect him. Of course that is false, he is not always collected to that degree, and situations can affect him enough to show it.

Solaris is a person who prefers to keep quiet until he needs to speak up, this can be as simple as pointing out a flaw in a plan or having to relay or give his orders to allies, or even conversing with someone about a topic. He is not someone that talks others' ears off about trivial matters, or about any kind of thing, but he is not aloof in a group setting, he can and will be drawn into a conversation and he will engage in it wholeheartedly. It is who he is, someone who can hang back and listen and gather information about the current situation, and then speaking his piece; or someone who chooses not to engage at all and is forgotten by others in a social setting, then appearing seemingly out of nowhere to pipe in and then disappear again. This aspect fits in quite well with the collected air he gives off, and it even seems to add to it.

This young man is decently friendly when interacting with other people, especially those he does not know or trust. He will answer direct questions and may willingly give his imput or opinion, he will be polite and not unfriendly, but something about his bearing in this situation is not wholly warm and friendly either. It seems as if there's a part of him holding back, not being entirely forward, and it can come off as reserved or being politely unfriendly. The latter of which is more closer to what he does, though he is more like a mix of the two; he does not want to outright tell someone that he does not want to talk to them, and most often does the best he can in an interaction, even when he does not feel like talking at the moment.

He has trouble expressing emotions in front of people, he's so used to being seen as calm and also having a more steady demeanor with other people, that it can take a lot to get him to show his true feelings. When it's just him, he has absolutely no trouble; he will growl or hiss under his breath when frustrated or giggle if he saw or read something that struck him as funny, or jump if startled by a sound. But when it comes to being with other people, unless he is very comfortable with them, it can be hard for him to even smile without thinking about it. While it can be seen as a good thing, this is mostly beyond frustrating to him. After all, he does want to be able to show how he's feeling more easily, around people he's comfortable with of course, he still wouldn't want to be an open book to strangers.

Another more negative thing about Solaris, which is something good or bad that depends on situation and personal views, is that he finds it quite easy to lie. He has no idea where he even picked it up, neither of his parents really encouraged that, but yet he finds lying almost as easy and natural as simply breathing. There have been a few times in his life where he had been busy with a chore and a friend or someone asks him something, and out slips a lie without him realizing it. Obviously this aspect is not usually seen as a good thing, and it has gotten him into a bit of trouble in the past too, with the smaller, inconsequential fibs; but they were distortions of the truth nonetheless, whether on purpose or accident.


Strengths & Weaknesses:

-Balanced in Physical Attributes-

While not able to excel in competitions dedicated to those swifter or stronger than he, the balance, the ability to not truly lean to either side of the spectrum, is a blessing of in of itself. He is able to match other fighters in strength while in battle or in a spar, and capable of keeping up with the quicker of foot when he needs to. It is a good thing to be stronger or faster than others, but it is also the balance is a very positive trait to hold.

-Steadiness-

Solaris' calmness is a large boon to him, especially when it is of use in active combat or other stressful situations. Even when he is not feeling too calm, the even outward appearance of it in the face of danger or tension, may help others to make an attempt to stay calm. He is an anchor for others, the eye of the storm for people around him, even when there is a tempest raging inside.

-Thinks Before Acting-

This man is not a very impulsive sort, rather it's the opposite for him. He watches before acting, before speaking his piece in a conversation, and that is a valuable aspect to find in a person. So many are impulsive and ready to jump into a situation headfirst, but he doesn't. He prefers to have the measure of the state of things before doing anything. Of course, this can also be a weakness, as well as a strength.

-Experience-

As one of the Original riders, from just before the fall of the riders, Solaris holds valuable experience of Dragons and battles and a flurry of subjects that may have been necessary over the seven years of hiding and waiting for the right time to return. Yes, he has much to learn, but he is one of the more knowledgable individuals within the whole of Riders and their potiental trainees.

-Emotionally Constipated-

As mentioned before, this young man has a bit of trouble with expressing his emotions around others. It is truly hard for him to do it naturally, without thinking about it or even forcing himself to do it. In some situations, this can be a good trait, but for having to interact with others and potientally have to train another? The benefits definitely do not outweight the negatives on a daily basis.

-Lying-

To be honest, Solaris has absolutely no idea where the ease of lying came from, there was no real need for a long time for him to hone hose skills, but they're there. And while this aspect can help in certain situations, it has certainly helped multiple times during the seven years of laying low, but for the most part, this is not a particular wanted nor kindly looked upon trait. It can label him as a deceiver, not one to be trusted, for if untruths leap so easily to his speech, how can he be worthy of allowing trust to?

-Tolerence-

Oftentimes, this quality of a person is praised and favorably looked upon, and typically, it is a positive trait to be found. However, Solaris takes tolerence to a higher level, enduring things that he dislikes or is uncomfortable with because he believes it to be necessary. Even when it truly is not needed. To such a degree that he often needs to be told by another that it is alright to excuse himself, to make clear his boundaries and that if those limits are pushed, then he can and will walk away. Even when given express permission to do so, he often has difficulty deciding when to break off the encounter, and his polite explainations have the flavor of awkwardness clinging to the words.

-Hand-to-Hand Combat-

While competent in hostile encounters, able to handle himself well enough to prove to be a serious threat in combat, Solaris has established himself as not being the best in hand-to-hand combat. It is simply not his strength, despite the training he had gone through and the many spars that he engaged in throughout the years, this type of battle has never been honed to the extent of being determined to be a strength. He is decent in an unarmed confrontation, able to hold his own well enough to avoid being immediately stomped into the dirt, but he cannot stand against a proficient combatant without a weapon, to his chagrin.

Backstory:

Hailing from a land foreign to Ederia, a nation so far that it was a miracle that his mother managed to keep herself and himself as an infant alive, Solaris has interesting roots to speak of. His surname alone stands out within the flood of differing names within the kingdom.

Unrest came strong and fierce, like a tidal wave sweeping over the land after decades of peace, the changing of a monarch's title and power fueling the turmoil like a flame touched to drought-dry pine trees. Few sought to leave, and his mother was one of them. In a journey that he cannot remember due to him being too young to remember, they managed across the ocean and a land before coming to Ederia and settling down.

Years later, when he was seventeen, Solaris acted on the desire to come to the place where rider-hopefuls will be chosen by one of the dragons who arrive, or not. And so, leaving behind a peaceful life with his mother and stepfather, Solaris set foot on the path that would prove to be a true trial by fire.
