Appearance:

Akiyama stands at roughly 5’9, with a toned and well defined built body. His arms and torso are exercised regularly, giving him a muscular and fit appearance. His skin is rather pale, but sported with multiple scars from fairly nasty burns over the years that appear rather pinkish in colour. These scars are more abundant around his fingers, hands and lower arms, with the occasional scars from knife or grater cuts.

He has medium length hair that is naturally wavy and is jet black in colour. Due to his preference in his work, he refuses to wear a cap, so instead he keeps his hair out of his face with a black and gold headband he ties and wears everyday as a part of his signature look. His face is lightly freckled, especially over his cheeks and nose. Akiyama’s eyes are always wide and curious, with their lighter brown colour and small flecks of other colour giving them an almost golden appearance.

He’s almost always wearing the most warm and welcoming of smiles that are nothing short of sweet, giving him a friendly, cute and approachable look. His outfits usually remain rather simple, between black jeans or track pants paired with hoodies or no sleeved tank tops that hug his figure far too well.

Personality:

Akiyama is the embodiment of a gentleman. He always exhibits rather selfless behaviours, always making sure everyone is fed, healthy and above all else, happy too. He’s very passionate about his work, and can sometimes come across as rather energetic. Perhaps even a little too energetic at times.

Akiyama is constantly smiling and cracking terrible jokes, especially saying how if he hadn’t been good at cooking he would’ve become a stand up comedian. Or an astronaut. Or a makeup artist. The responses change to something more bizarre everyday. His positive attitude is a massive grounding point for those around him, no matter how dire a situation or grim the circumstances, he will never hesitate to put it upon himself to lift everyone’s moods.

He hardly takes many things seriously, usually checking himself out of conversations where he’s being scolded or told relatively boring things. However, if a person needs it, he can set aside the cheery act and become a shoulder for people to lean on. His supportive, kind and caring nature is essential to any team he’s a part of.

Mental Stability:

Akiyama is fairly level headed and calm thinking. However if he is overwhelmed by constant stress by situations or other people, he has a risk of completely breaking down on himself.

Likes:

He LOVES food. He enjoys cooking and trying anything and everything new.

Enjoys socializing with small-ish numbers of people.

He likes to read and write, occasionally journaling/recording his findings, new recipes and other notes he finds intriguing. He also sometimes writes short stories as a way to stoke his imagination and keep his brain stimulated.

Dislikes:

Massive amounts of pressure or pushing to rush.

Cold weather. (His body is more used to the higher heats of his cooking equipment, fires, ovens etc. So when he’s faced with colder environments, sometimes he feels the cold a whole lot worse than others.)

Loud noises, thunder, explosions, guns etc. (They instantly send him into flight mode, where he usually has to FIGHT himself not to instantly drop his things and run.)

Rudeness or bluntness towards himself or others. He doesn’t stand for aggression or violence, and thanks to his build, he can certainly hold his own and stick up for those who need it.

Biography:

Akiyama is an only child, raised by his single mother, Hanako Akiyama. She is a very timid and quiet lady who tends to busy herself with sewing and creating items of clothing. The headband Akiyama wears was given and made by her. His upbringing, despite not having a present father figure, was full of laughs and joy. He was taught to respect others and to fight for those who couldn’t defend themselves.

To begin with, he only really cooked for himself and his mother, but over the years as his talents improved, she pushed for him to share his food with others, thus pushing him to begin his cheffing career. He didn’t really talk to many people before he began to improve his cooking skills, saving his daily chats about his day for only his mother.

He found his passion in creating dishes that could bring smiles to peoples faces, and soon it became one of his favourite things… His biggest goal.

Akiyama was hesitant at first, not wanting to leave his mother on her own, knowing how she doesn’t get out and talk to others as much when he isn’t around. But after a hefty amount of convincing and late night discussions, Akiyama eventually relented and decided he’d volunteer, bring smiles to other peoples faces and to make his mother proud.
