Name
Otter.
Age
3.
Gender
Female.
Breed
100% Siamese - long story short, her mother was a human's pet and fled with Otter and her littermates when Otter herself was very young, eventually joining Glassgarden. It's also worth noting that Otter is the modern/wedge head type of Siamese.
Role
Hunter.
Desired Role
She's content with her current role, sort of. She has ambitions to become second-in-command one day, but is doubtful that will happen.
Thoughts on The Discovery?
Otter is currently against moving. She doesn't like change in general, especially if she deems it unnessecary, and this is a case where she thinks so. The Garden provides everything the Pride needs, so she doesn't see the point in risking lives when danger lurks around every corner. That being said, if her sisters decide to go, then so does she.
Appearance
Otter is the tallest out of her littermates, but compared to other felines, isn't the largest, standing at 10 inches. It's only through her spindly legs and lean, long body that she looks taller than she actually is. She's very athletic, weasel-like, good for sneaking up on prey but not the best at fighting. She has a thin, whip-like tail.
She has a triangular head and a narrow, elongated muzzle, her ears are large and flared. Her eyes are striking, big and sapphire-blue, almond-shaped and slanted. Usually narrowed with skepticism or impatience.
Her fur is short, fine, and glossy. It's ivory-white in color, with points along her ears, face, legs, and tail that are a milky-chocolate hue. Her nose and paw pads are cinnamon-pink.
She actually looks almost identical to her sisters, but you can distinguish them from slight differences in height and their scars. Otter's right ear is torn and she has a nasty bite mark on her shoulder of the same side, both earned from an unfortunate encounter with a fox.
Her voice is deep and raspy, and can sound jarring and demanding when you first meet her. She takes care to speak softer around elders, kits, and those she's close to.
Personality
Otter was brash, reckless, and untamed when she was younger and has since mellowed out, seemingly out of some kind of necessity borne from the death of her mother and the lack of responsibility from one of Otter's sisters and a lack of initiative from the other. She's more responsible now by a long shot, almost to the point where it's stifling to both herself and those around her. She feels lonely, even if she's surrounded by others, it doesn't really count when everyone sees her as the "stick in the mud," the one who stomps on everyone's fun. But she's afraid of what will happen if she doesn't keep everything - everyone - grounded. She used to have her mother as an anchor, as someone to talk to about these feelings, but now? Nobody. Just Otter, her spiraling mind, and her heavy heart.
On the outside, she's fiercely loyal and protective but she's also a bit of a closed book. Her reluctance to open up to others has given her a reputation for being cold, when she's really just scared.
She does nothing to dispel this idea about her. Instead, she distracts herself with her job as a hunter, the only sense of normalcy in her life, the only constant amidst an onslaught of changes.
Mate
None.
Crush
None, but open to one! PM me.
Kits
She'd like to have kits someday, however, she's not emotionally ready to anytime soon.
Familial Ties
Dahlia (Mother) - She passed away awhile ago. They had a great relationship, and Otter misses her so.
Ferret (Sister / Littermate) - There seems to be some tension here, a clash of personalities. Ferret is a troublemaker who mostly just likes to get on Otter's nerves. They love each other though, at least, Otter loves her.
Mink (Sister / Littermate) - Mostly good, although Otter does try to get Mink to come out of her shell, to no avail. Sometimes Otter gets frustrated by Mink's more passive nature.
Pride Affiliations
Open! PM me.
Other
I love Russian Blues! There's just something so majestic about them. <3
Also, honorable mention to the Domestic Shorthair, even though it's not a formal breed. I have a soft spot for animals that are mutts, for lack of a better term.
