Occupation: Gwyar works as a Tree Climber (which is an actual job, by the way) but he also volunteers at a local library whenever he can. Which is rather often, actually. He has several other hobbies that tend to end up making him some money too, which is nice.
Reason For Joining This Hiking Expedition: In order to see his old friend, Cal, again after a long time without being able to even talk to them since life got busy for the two of them. The expedition was supposed to be something fun for the two, giving them an easy way to reconnect.
Thoughts On The Lodge & Your Hosts: Gwyar doesn’t trust them and their kindness. Sure, he’s grateful, but he isn’t really inclined to trust a lot of people. Or most people. Or basically anyone. Sue him, so maybe he’s paranoid, but that doesn’t matter! Much, at least. He still doesn’t trust them. He won’t be saying that though, he’s just trying to make sure nothing happens. Silently. Or as silently as possible. After all, if he’s wrong? Yeah, he’d rather not come across as rude to people that are allowing them to stay during a blizzard.

Familial Relationships:
Well, his biological family is all dead. His mother, father, and elder sister had all passed when he was a young child. And then his, er, ‘adoptive guardians’ aren’t actually in contact with him at all. Though he does send them money every now and then.

As for children? He has none that are biologically his, but… If we went over every mistreated kid in the neighborhood that has ended up following him around for some reason or other, we’d be here forever. Which is an honest thing, for whatever reason, the kids in the neighborhood think he’s cool and the ones specifically from worse homes almost seem to view him as a parental figure. He has no idea why this happens, but he doesn’t question the trust they seem to have and actually tries to help as much as can. Whether he does that by teaching them stuff that kids shouldn’t have to know or just by taking care of them… He does what he can.

Instead, we’ll just go over Clio who sees him as a sort of brother, sort of uncle kind of figure. Who he adores. Who he still feels bad for every time he sees. He also still feels guilty whenever he sees her due to what happened with her older brother Chile, who used to take care of her before he died, who was his best friend and practically brother…
