meets a starving old dog who won't get fed by his owners because they believe he is useless, and the sparrow finds him food (horse cart comes by, she distracts driver, dog sneaks into the back and steals food), and then the dog helps the sparrow plot revenge. Then, the sparrow goes crying to the fox and goes "oh please let me see my sons again" (basically asking the fox to eat her), and the fox gives chase, but the sparrow flies away, and leads him to the dog, which "mauls him until he is covered in blood and scratches", and the dog says "the fox is dead." Totally a great KID'S story... |

Right. Someone who's nickname is also present in my name is completely different. My bad for reading part of my name as myself. |

Venn Sorry, your nickname is my name irl and we aren't usually on at the same time so I never thought it would be a problem 😅 Sorry |

Yellow Nah, I'm American. I went to a weird Christian school growing up and we did this activity where we read books that we know, from different countries. So there was Cinderella & Little Red Riding Hood, and more but those are the only two I remember |

Ok, so basically... There's this fox (main character), and in the story I have just read, a sparrow was just vibing in a cherry tree, and the fox comes along, and the sparrow offers cherries to the fox. Nothing wrong with that, right? But then, the fox (sneakily) declines, then accepts after being asked another time. He doesn't like the cherries, but says they are good anyway, so then the fox asks if there is something he can do for the sparrow. (completely normal, right?) So the sparrow says that her two sons are sick, and asks if there is any way the fox can help them. The fox claims he is a "master of medicine", and asks the sparrow to bring her children to him. After she does, she turns around (and presumeably does something, lost in my horrible translating skills), and her children are gone! THE FOX HAS EATEN THEM. Like, seriously. Isn;t that messed up? But anyway, then the sparrow goes and cries about it, meets a starving ol |

Ember Oh yeah, when J was litter we had to read the Chinese version of little red riding hood, "Lon Po Po". I was five, haven't touched that book since. And I still remember it. |
